On a bike tour from Bochum we treated ourselves to a little snack break here: Delicious burgers with sweet potato fries and truffle mayo. Friendly and fast service, tasty food with fresh ingredients - we felt comfortable!!

As always, the service was attentive and courteous. We had reserved a table, but it was too loud and too crowded for us and they looked for another table for us and also apologized because it was too loud and too crowded in the corner. What I thought was really great was that a service worker brought the straws to the guests with a napkin so that his hand didn't touch the straw. Top

We often like to visit Cafe del Sol, the service makes it worth going there. The food is tasty, but often cold or lukewarm. The ambience is good but it can get very loud and unpleasant. The waiters always give us a good feeling and we feel like we are in good hands, so that the “worse” things are quickly forgotten. Kind regards to Robin and Lorena. the waiters who have served us so far and have looked after us and our children well.

This Café del Sol location has been fantastic since day 1. It is in the right location with various options to eat, a cinema and water park in the immediate vicinity. Plus the food and drinks are great for what Café del Sol is. Don't expect a Michelin restaurant here. But because you can sit comfortably and get something delicious to eat as well as various drinks, it's great. I can only recommend it to everyone. This location is only 4 minutes away from the A2 exit and is easy to reach by public transport. Thanks to the team and for the great atmosphere

Participated in the “Schnitzel Holiday”. First portion was ok. If you only order schnitzel, they are mini small and you have to wait forever. You can only reorder when your plate is empty, so you don't have to shorten the waiting time. (The stomach closes more quickly and you drink too!!) ​​We sat outside and had to deal with a lot of wasps - many guests fled inside. Prices have gotten really high. No disabled access. For the money you can eat much nicer and better food. It was definitely the last time.

We had pre-booked a table and that was a good thing. The service was very friendly and the food came very quickly. Wasn't the last visit there.

The three of us were here for a little drink on Friday evening. The place was very full. We were assigned a place. We were served nicely, but unfortunately it was very loud all around, so it was hard to have a conversation. Our cocktails contained little alcohol for the price. Unfortunately, we cannot agree with the many positive reviews. Too bad. . .

Went to Cafe Del Sol again today. The service was quickly at the table to take the order. Drinks came quickly and the food didn't take long either. Food (BBQ pulled turkey burgers) were very tasty, drinking was moderate, beer was ok, but my mojito consisted of a whole lime, in 8 pieces, and 4 sprigs of mint, fresh but with lots of dark spots, in a max. 0.3 glass. Unfortunately I didn't taste any alcohol. Service was very nice, prices were extremely high.

Went to Café Del Sol yesterday for lunch and had a very pleasant time there. The food there tasted great and the service was great too. The waiters were incredibly friendly and handled the hot sun extremely well. However, I really have to say that it is unreasonable to let the waiters walk around in the hot sun wearing black clothes. You could sometimes see how wet the waiters' T-shirts were and how warm they were. Maybe we should pay more attention before something else happens. Otherwise we would definitely recommend the cafe.

We wanted to order the All Summer Long breakfast today at 11:02 a.m. Breakfast is only offered until 11 a.m. We were told poor service. Apparently they can afford it so all we had was something to drink. It was too early for a main meal for us

Simply a great atmosphere right near the Veltins Arena. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed a really great evening. The staff is more than friendly and the food and drinks were really great.

Nice Café del Sol right at the Gelsenkirchen stadium. We were there before a Rammstein concert and had a great meal. The music that would be heard later was even discussed and alluded to. Staff super nice! Keep it up 👌🏻

A nice mix of café, bar and restaurant. There is a seasonal menu with delicious dishes. Even though it was an S04 matchday, it went relatively quickly. We thought it was very tasty. Prices okay, our service was great².

Actually a very nice restaurant, a bit noisy but you can relax here. What's not so positive are the prices, an iced tea for €6.70 is already steep. The worst thing that cost us the most was the “house bread with 3 dips” for €9.70. What you get is a baked baguette with 3 dips that don't come close to the bread - we had hollandaise, remoulade and mayonnaise with garlic. Which was supposed to represent the “aioli”. - You really can't offer that for just under €10. (The baguette was this classic baguette for baking from Rewe for 99 cents 😂)

Great restaurant near the arena, highly recommended if you still have time. Good menu and drinks, recommended.

We went to the Cafe Del Sol before and after a concert (the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.) in the VELTINS Arena to have something to eat and drink. The staff was very friendly and quick, even though it was very busy. We barely waited 5 minutes for drinks and the food was at our table after 15 minutes. It's practical that there is a shortened special menu with all relevant food and drinks for concert evenings. After the concert we went back to Cafe Del Sol and were pleased that the kitchen was still open and the orders came just as quickly as in the afternoon. A clear insider tip for everyone who attends an event in the VELTINS Arena.

Café del Sol really impressed me with its welcoming ambience and friendly service. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes and drinks to suit every taste. Drinks smaller than ever, and even more expensive than everything. A cocktail, if you can call it a cocktail, 0.3l almost 11€ impertinence I haven't been here for a long time and now I know why. I wouldn't recommend it anymore

The ambience is very nice, the staff was quite quick but also a bit snotty. But it was probably because the store was very full because of the Rammstein concert. The food was satisfactory even if I didn't notice any spiciness in the sambal hollandaise.

Good and quick food. Despite the huge crowds, we didn't have to wait long for food and drinks. The toilets could have been cleaner but given the number of people it's no wonder and only a deduction in the B grade.

Was here after a concert. And something to eat and drink. Even though the place was suddenly full. After the concert, the conditions in the restaurant remained relaxed. We got along really well with the crowds. One table after another was served. Just ordered and different conditions came with the drinks. When eating exactly the same, hardly any waiting time. That went like clockwork. Very well organized there. Respect. And all conditions very friendly and accommodating. And very attentive.

We ate there with 50 to 60 people and we were all totally satisfied, Everything was great 👍🏻👌🏻, I can only recommend it, we would love to come back.

We were there yesterday thanks to the Rammstein concert. It was really crowded. Nevertheless, we never had to wait long. Super friendly staff. The food (bbq burger with side salad) was tasty but quite expensive for what was there.

Had lunch there with a larger group of people. Portions are tiny and despite the side dish they couldn't fill us up. Unfortunately a big disappointment for the price. Service was completely overwhelmed even though the store was empty. No questions were asked about new drinks or anything like that. Half of the bill was wrong & the waiter dripped his sweat all over one of us's shoulders. We definitely won't come back and can't recommend the food either.

Cold fries, cold burger and inattentive staff! So next time I'd rather go to the McDonald's across the street than ever come to your place again.

We visited this cafe twice during our TS concert. Really friendly customer service, and we did not expect to be looked after so well, especially on a busy day like a concert. The vegetarian food options are decent, and the pricing is fair. I only wish that they had a better selection of European wines, as they only seemed to have South Africa wines on the menu. We were served by Ender (apologies if I got the spelling incorrect) on both occasions, and he was knowledgeable and friendly even late into the night.

Children not welcome! Since there is a concert in the arena tonight, children are not welcome! The children's menu was issued but you couldn't order from it....when asked, the restaurant management decided this was the case because of the concert...a shame and very weak! In the future, we'd rather go to one of the other Café de Sols nearby. Children are welcome! Really poor performance!

I like coming here. Unfortunately it is always crowded and loud. The food is delicious. The waitresses are all super friendly and funny. The ambience is warm and invites you to sit for a long time.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be ☹️ The food was tasty, but is now outrageously expensive. So-called “extras” also used to be included as standard with the dishes. Without the Schnitzel del Sol the shop really wouldn't be worth a visit! Too bad!!!

A Dr... shop wanted to buy a bottle of water and they didn't let us in because it was apparently too crowded. We explained that it was an emergency and that we just wanted to buy something to drink and leave straight away…. No chance were not allowed in…. So that's how you treat customers in the juice shop... Shame on you…. Especially you who had an Italy jersey on the door, shame on you!! Unfortunately I have to give one star, there is no such thing as zero... But you deserve a big fat zero!!

There is not a lot on meni but everything is delicious.Service was great,we did not wait long for food and everything was in order.

We were here during the week and at lunchtime and sat outside. It was well attended. All the staff were friendly. The tables were quickly put back in order. The service staff saw immediately when we wanted something, so they were very attentive. For me, the cleanliness of the toilets and the washing area are always important. Here too, everything was as it should be. After years I was here again and was very positively surprised. Keep it up!

The last time I was there there are better places where you can spend your money... yesterday the waitress just made a fool of me just because we asked what was missing with the drink. Unfortunately she had to open a keg. It's a shame as regular guests do that having to take part.

The last time we were there was 3 years ago and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately this time I was more than disappointed. The only thing worth mentioning from our side were the iced teas. Despite calling beforehand (30 minutes before reservation) to correct the number of people, no table was ready for us even though we had reserved. Unfortunately, instead of 10 people, there were only 5 of us. So it wasn't really a problem because there were fewer people instead of more. The first service was friendly and quick and knew immediately what was there and what wasn't. She knew the map. When it came time to eat, the misfortune began. The waitress was overwhelmed with the order, especially when serving. My ribs and my colleague's were lukewarm. The mayo with the fries was forgotten. The schnitzels and ribs are clearly frozen goods. Which in itself isn't nice for a company like this, but it's understandable. But they should at least arrive hot or at least warm. You could tell from the skin over the sauce that the food had probably been sitting in the warm place for a long time.... Unfortunately, the very hot lasagne was then thrown over the lap/hand of two of my companions. When asked if you had a sore and healing one, the answer was "we don't have anything like that" as a cool pack you were given ice in a cling film. When we asked if we could change the table so that we didn't have to sit in the lasagna that had been distributed, the only response was "no, it'll be taken away straight away." However, this had not happened by the time we left. And as compensation there was only ONE drink on the house. You would be responsible for cleaning the clothes... To be clear, we don't blame the young lady who served the food. Mistakes happen. Sure, maybe the will was bigger than the muscles, but mistakes can still happen to anyone. But in my opinion, how you deal with this as a restaurant management has gone completely wrong. When it comes to cooling and sore and healing ointment..... as a kitchen worker or service worker, I would be careful about working there. As someone who has been seriously injured by fire myself, I know how important such items are. And hey, let's be honest, these are tiny amounts for the purchase of such things. End of the song. We've spent a few hours before the concert, and the restaurant was getting seriously full. The service was excellent! The food was delicious! Even the music was appropriate (considering we waited for AC/DC). The toilets were regularly checked for cleanliness and toilet paper (I was inside when the check happened). Thank you kind people of Cafe Del Sol!

The atmosphere was simply too loud, and some of us were simply forgotten. To order we had to ask for service 3-4 times. The food tasted like it had been bought and reheated and was actually not worth the money. My partner and I have decided not to come back.
