Adria Restaurant im Kolpinghaus in Gelsenkirchen

We ate there during a club meeting. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to a lovely little private room. The service was exceptionally attentive and very quick. The food was freshly prepared and served in a reasonable amount of time. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair, and we would gladly return.

I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant, and I have only positive things to say! The Croatian cuisine offered here is of good quality. I was particularly impressed by the friendly staff. I felt warmly welcomed from the very first moment. It's nice to see how much emphasis is placed on personalized service here. The online reservation went smoothly, and I received a prompt call back to confirm. This shows that they truly care about their guests' needs. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant. It's definitely worth a visit!

Great, everyone is nice, friendly and the food is simply delicious

We ate salad, snails, and shrimp in olive oil with a group of people. It was unbelievably bad. The salad dressing, the sauce for the snails, and the "supposed" olive oil were all exactly the same. Unbelievable!

I enjoyed eating here at the previous owners' restaurants and was quite sad when they closed. Since then, I've rediscovered the "Adria" and always look forward to a cozy and delicious evening there. 😃

A very good Balkan restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable! The lunch menu is also highly recommended! They also serve soup, salad, and dessert at lunch! Highly recommended! There's a private parking lot in the courtyard!

Hello, this time unfortunately I can't say anything about the dishes but only about the ordering service. As a regular customer for years, always eating locally, I wanted to order food for delivery for the first time today. Our food order would have been just under €50 (2x gourmet platter) plus liver & additional sauce and drinks even almost €65. Delivery distance 3.5km . But that was too little or too far for the lady on the phone and so we were canceled. But she also mentioned that the food would be ready in 20 minutes if you picked it up yourself. To be honest, I'm so disappointed that my family and I won't be able to eat there anymore. Too bad! Minimum order value is what, 100€??? Impudence! If a value of 50-70€ is not enough, you should not offer delivery!

Went for Christmas dinner. It's a shame that the atmosphere wasn't decorated for Christmas at the beginning of December. The main course was very small, the positive thing was the croquettes, which were hot and crunchy

Very very tasty food. I was there with my family and we were greeted very nicely and received great service. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Unfortunately our visit to the restaurant was a disappointment. The starter was only lukewarm and the dumplings were way too soft, almost mushy. The vegetables were simply poured over with a ready-made sweet chili Asian sauce - careless and unimaginative. The ready-made spaetzle were served with the cooking water, which meant that the sauce was completely watered down. The ambience was drafty and outdated, which was not at all appropriate for the prices quoted. The service was nice, but lacked warmth and genuine hospitality. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation.

Three of us ate there yesterday. Had booked a table beforehand. Had a nice place. Food was very good. None of us had anything to complain about. Were very satisfied. Service professionally good. Everything was perfect. We would love to go there again and again. Super. Can only be recommended.

Possibly the best liver I've ever eaten. Fried until crispy, incredibly tender and still slightly pink. That was pretty perfect, service and prices were also perfectly fine. I can only recommend a visit.

Very friendly service and quick delivery of drinks. Food tends to come from the deep fryer and not a lot of fresh or homemade food. But everything was ok and the price was more than acceptable.

So we found that more than unfair. Every guest got an aperitif at the end, but unfortunately not us. The fries were very sloppy and the food had little to no seasoning. We had hoped for more.

We really liked it, it was our first time there. We were warmly welcomed and well served. The food was very good and served hot. The selection of food and drinks is extensive, everyone will find what they are looking for. Very clean, cozy and well-kept restaurant, spacious and cleaner toilets. The benches and chairs are very comfortable, the ambience is a pleasant mix of modern and old. What we personally don't like is the sometimes cold white lighting in the restaurant (e.g. above some tables) or the mixing of different lights. This cold white light color is unsuitable for us and does not look comfortable. For our taste, uniform, warm white bulbs should be used indoors. Cold white would be fine outdoors. Otherwise, we recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back!

Clean, nice, well-known restaurant under new management. Service was quick and friendly, drinks arrived quickly. The slivo was very tasty. The meal, once half and half and a grill plate, tasted great but unfortunately was very manageable. No problem for us women, but my husband and other men wouldn't have had enough. Dear owners of the restaurant, please be a little more expensive and put a little more on your plate. All in all good. Thanks

Das Essen war in Ordnung aber absolut Nix besonderes. Man wird satt, aber mehr auch nicht. Wer hier gutes Fleisch erwartet, wird enttäuscht werden. Der Service hingegen war super Freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir waren zum Beerdingungs Kaffee dort, sehr gut belegte Brötchen Hälften, leckerer Kuchen aufgeteilt in kleine Stücke, so konnte man einige genießen.

Wir haben das schöne Ambiente, die zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Mitarbeiter sowie das tolle Essen sehr genossen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass extra für unsere Tochter ein Hochstuhl aus dem Privathaushalt organisiert wurde. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das Essen war super aber persönlich hat mir am meisten das freundliche Personal imponiert. Ein sehr Familienfreundliches Restaurant. Uns wurde sogar ein Hochstuhl für unsere acht Monate junge Tochter aus dem Privathaushalt beschafft. Nochmals vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt bei euch!

Freundliches Personal Sehr leckeres Essen

Waren das erste mal.im Kolpinghaus essen , war zwar nicht schlecht , aber für Sonntag s nicht unser Ding , wollte von der Mittagskarte eine Bestellung aufgeben , da sagte man mir das die nur Wochentag ist , was ich persönlich sehr schade finde , da auf der Mittagskarte , Gerichte drauf sind wie Züricher Geschnetzeltes und noch so einiges , auch mit der Vorsuppe fände ich persönlich für Sonntags angebracht , da ich festgestellt habe das dort sehr viele ältere Personen einkehren. Service sehr freundlich , wobei die Servicekraft mit den Dunkeln Haaren am freundlichen war .

Wir haben vor 3 Wochen unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert. Das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute im Kolpinghaus essen und waren alle drei sehr zufrieden. Die Fischgerichte wurden mit leckerer Gemüsevariation und Beilage serviert. Birnweg gab es einen Salat und einen Snack. Die Nachtischkarte ist auch sehr schön vielfältig. Wir würden wieder kommen, da wir mit dem Service und allem Drum und Dran sehr zufrieden waren.

Super gemütliches Restaurant! Ich wurde hier sehr freundlich empfangen und bekam mit kaum Wartezeit leckerste kroatische Spezialitäten serviert. Gerne gebe ich 5/5 Sterne und freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch! 😋👌🏼

Das Essen ist besser und reichhaltiger als vorher. Viel größer Auswahl was vorher nicht war,wegetarisch ,Fisch Platte,kleine Gerichte,Nachtisch u.vieles mehr.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Kolpinghaus bzw. Adria essen und waren rundum zufrieden. Ein sehr sauberes Restaurant mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen und zu angemessenen Preisen. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Das Essen war geschmacklich gut. Preis Leistung stimmte bei unseren Gerichten auch. Service war sehr freundlich. Ambiente, etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber in Ordnung. Wir würden wieder hingehen. Mir hat besonders der Djuvec Reis hat mir richtig gut geschmeckt. War super gewürzt habe ich lange nicht so lecker gegessen.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Adria (Kolpinghaus).Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend von den Portionen, Personal sehr freundlich, auch wenn das Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Aber alles schön eingedeckt und sehr sauber und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.

Wir haben Weihnachten 2019 dort gespeist... haben uns vorher im Internet über Speisekarte und Preise informiert.. Speisekarte war plötzlich um bis zu 9 Euro teurer... Frechheit. .. die Portionen waren mehr als mickrig... Kinderteller war teilweise sogar größer. . Geschmacklich ok.. unser Fazit : nie wieder...

Wir waren heute aufgrund einer Empfehlung zum ersten mal hier. Wir waren mit der Familie hier und waren vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis total begeistert. Besonders das Mittagsmenü mit Suppe, Hauptspeise und Nachspeise war Klasse. Bedienung schnell und sehr zuvorkommend, Restaurant gemütlich eingerichtet. Top!!!😀

Service i.O, Essen i.O. Ambiente i.O. Aber leider mehr auch nicht. Lag es an der eingeschränkten Karte Ostern? Waren die hohen Preise wirklich gerechtfertigt? Wir werden es demnächst noch einmal versuchen! Vllt sind dann die Portionen auch dem Preis angemessen!
