We had brunch there today, Sunday, with eleven people, and this was our second time there. The service in Gelsenkirchen is very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and we really like the industrial design combined with Italian flair. We will definitely eat there again.

We were a group of 25 on a Tuesday. The service was very good, but unfortunately the cash register broke down for a while. As a result, two drinks only arrived after we asked for them, and one meal only came after everyone else had finished eating. It wasn't the staff's fault, but it was still unpleasant.

I've been to several L'Osteria restaurants, but today's was by far the worst. We were a group of five for brunch, and there were plenty of empty tables. After half an hour, I politely asked if they'd forgotten our drinks. The waiter's exact words were, "The drinks will come when they're ready!" I've rarely been so speechless! Forty minutes later, our drinks arrived: three Cokes Zero, one spritzer, and a bottle of water. Those were the only drinks we received, as we didn't see another waiter at our table. Furthermore, many of the food items weren't replenished, and at times there weren't any small spoons for the desserts. I was eventually handed a long coffee spoon at the counter. What a shame! The L'Osteria in Gelsenkirchen was a one-time experience; we'd much rather go to the one in Duisburg's Inner Harbour.

Depending on when you're here, the service can be good or very bad. But even if you get friendly staff, that doesn't mean the food is good. The salad often has leaves that have been wilted. Also, on my last visit, my food was delivered incorrectly twice. Incomprehensible!

The "Amore Special" promotion advertised online for this location was initially unavailable on-site, even though it was shown as available on the order page. However, after being informed, the very friendly receptionist immediately responded in a customer-oriented manner and found a satisfactory solution. Now that's what I call good service!

The ordering process is terrible. Delivery is a disaster. You can't order by phone, only through two agencies online. You have to download the app and pay an additional monthly fee. Am I supposed to pay a subscription? I'd be better off ordering elsewhere. So, my conclusion is: order somewhere else.

Large pizzas (really large), good selection of other dishes too. Everything is ok, including the prices.

After our regular visits for Pizza Day on Wednesdays, this promotion will likely end in November. So, no more Pizza Day from December onwards; no more pizza for €9.95. What a shame! Since the pizza isn't worth the full price of up to €17 to us, we'll probably have to look for an alternative.

This was especially true if you wanted a second or third drink. Those drinks were then lost, resulting in lower sales. In the end, it was better for my wallet. I also don't understand the nonsense about the plates being too small for the pizza. Technically speaking, it's a pain to cut the pizza that way. Surely you can buy suitable plates, boards, or something similar somewhere.

The pizzas are very large, extending beyond the edge of the plate. If four people are sitting at a table for four and everyone is eating pizza, it gets very cramped. It's important to know that this used to be a nightclub, so it's a large hall and very noisy.

We invited the whole family (13 people) to brunch for a birthday celebration. We had no prior experience with this and were only familiar with the menu items. Based on our positive previous experiences, we decided to give it a try and were more than delighted. The food selection was extensive and varied, not only fresh and delicious, but also frequently and generously replenished. There was something for everyone, all in true Italian style. The desserts were also very tasty, and overall, the value for money was excellent. The staff was very friendly and particularly welcoming to children. The service was attentive without being intrusive. All in all, it was a wonderful day. Everyone in our group was happy. We would gladly return.

We've been there a few times to eat and the food is delicious, but the service needs to change a lot. We should just ask more often if we need any more drinks. It's unacceptable that after ordering three times the drinks still don't arrive at the table. That shouldn't be the case, especially as we pre-ordered three bottles of water. Please don't offer this service if you can't keep it, it's a shame, I expected it, even though there were several of us there I expected something different, and only the friendliness of your staff rectified what went wrong with you, and it wasn't so busy that it couldn't be managed, and the evening cost me a lot of money! In summary, it's OK, but nothing more!

Went there for a birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 meal. I expected it to be a bit better, but the pizza 🍕 was very thin and had a poor topping. 🍜 Pasta was delicious 😋. I found it very noisy to eat there. The first impression was 👍, but the service deteriorated. Ordered, and after about 15 minutes the pasta arrived, which was fine. But the pizza 🍕 didn't arrive for another 25 minutes. By then, the others at the table had almost finished their pasta 🍜. If they had waited, the pasta 🍜 would have been cold.

We had reserved a table at the restaurant for yesterday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. When we wanted to order a pizza, the waitress told us it would "take a very long time" – without being able to give a specific time. When we asked for lasagna, we were told it was already sold out. So we opted for pasta and salads. The Lillet was served in 0.4-liter glasses because they apparently didn't have any suitable glasses left. The salads arrived quite quickly, but the pasta didn't. Guests who arrived later and ordered pizza received their dishes well before us. After waiting for almost two hours, we finally canceled the remaining orders and left – and ended up eating a currywurst in the arena. Conclusion: Unfortunately, this restaurant is not recommended for events at the arena.

We had a wonderful experience with my family! We all had pasta; my husband and son had spaghetti, and I chose penne. Everything was so fresh, we loved the taste. For dessert, my son had spaghetti ice cream, and my husband and I had panna cotta. Our Americano was also very good. We would especially like to thank the lady who served us. We couldn't see her name on the name tag, but she was incredibly attentive and friendly. She took care of about 8-10 tables on her own, running everywhere, cutting pizzas, clearing tables, and packing products. Such a dedicated employee definitely deserves more support. We happily tipped her and thank her very much for this wonderful experience. Our only negative criticism is the men's restrooms, which were not very clean and smelled. An improvement in this area would make the overall experience perfect.
