A table was assigned, but 15 minutes later, we hadn't even been able to order drinks. When someone finally came to tell us that our table was already reserved, that was it. We certainly won't be going back. Not so bad, though, because the background noise was like a jet taking off. IMPOSSIBLE.

I was truly thrilled with my visit! The food was delicious, the atmosphere very pleasant – but what made the evening special was the super-friendly waitress. She was attentive, warm, and served us with a smile. You could tell she enjoyed her job. Thank you for the great service!

Excellent service: Federica was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as always, but the acoustics could be improved, as could the option of having the pizzas served on large plates instead of half-covered on the table.

The service and ambience was great as usual. Only the pizza was prepared without love. I'm used to something different because I always order the same pizza in other Losteria restaurants. For my taste there was little spinach on it and the eggs were done. Normally the egg yolk should still be a little runny. The cappuccino was very tasty.

The salsiccia piccante was amazing – super savory, slightly hot, and topped with a truly delicious topping. The crust was nice and thin and crispy, just the way I like it. You can simply taste the quality that goes into the plate. To finish, we had a tiramisu that was perfect: beautifully creamy, not too sweet, and with just the right hint of coffee. All in all, a truly delicious meal! The service was friendly and quick. If you're craving honest, delicious Italian cuisine, L'Osteria is the place to be. I'll definitely be back!

Facts: We were a large group at the System Restaurant L'Osteria. That's why many people's experiences are included: Huge pizza bases - all of which are barely occupied. The base was just “pizza style” - it later left me with a heavy stomach. According to the menu, I had “scrimps” on the pizza, which turned out to be tasteless, cheap mini “Arctic sea shrimps” with somewhat unseasoned chopped tomatoes for over €16. Similar with other friends. Drinks price-performance: high priced. Service: very friendly. Little time between ordering and serving. Ambiance: Attractive. Rating: Main products (pizza) insufficient in quantity and quality (toppings). Recommendation: No. Visiting a L'Osteria restaurant again: No.

I was just thrilled, wow. Not just from the food but especially from the waitress who served me on the evening of May 7th, 2025. Her friendly, loving and, above all, attentive nature made the entire evening something very special. I was just washing my hands. She thought I forgot my pizza and kept looking around for me and trying to give me my pizza. Something like that is simply unforgettable and very beautiful. My best experience in a restaurant so far

We really enjoy going to l'osteria with our children and have already visited almost all of the locations in the Ruhr area. We particularly like that our daughter can keep herself busy in the playground and we can therefore enjoy the visit perfectly. The situation in Gelsenkirchen is not quite perfect; cars with loud exhausts are constantly rushing past the outside area. But what was an absolute disaster was the fact that a person pooped in the playhouse beforehand. Yes it was definitely human and not from a child. We immediately spoke to the waitress. She apologized for it, but nothing more. When there were more children in the playhouse 5 minutes later, we spoke to the waitress again and asked them to lock the playhouse because this was not only disgusting but also very dangerous to their health. After 10 minutes, a waiter very hesitantly closed off the playground. We would have expected more commitment and independence from the staff. Of course the staff can't be blamed for the behavior of Asian people who poop in the playhouse at night, but it spoiled our whole visit and we really didn't feel comfortable. We will avoid Gelsenkirchen in the future. We have liked all the other l'osteria much better so far.

A pretty perfect Italian dinner! I was craving good Italian food and happened to be nearby. You can park here for free, the park is super spacious. The L'Osteria building looks really attractive and beautifully designed. After a short wait I was assigned a seat. The food is impeccable, the pizza rolls are unique, perhaps it could have used more herb butter, but that's a matter of taste. I particularly liked the toilets. I've never seen such cool toilets, especially the voice control that accompanies you, making going to the toilet more fun. The staff seems well trained to me. The handles are right and the company vocabulary is well presented to the guests. Pace, body language and overview, it's all right. Personally, I just find the wooden chairs in the interior uncomfortable; I don't find them particularly comfortable.
