I visited to have a burger here - it was delicious and the they have free wifi and good local beer.

Ordering via mobile phone, no real contact with the staff, and even paying all feels more like fast food. The ambiance is very nice and the food is good, but I find the price very high.

Super cool atmosphere, very warm and cozy. The mix of restaurant, bar, and lounge is perfectly balanced. You immediately feel at ease. The staff is very friendly and answers all your questions (you're not just a number here, but a person) about the restaurant and the food. You get a clear explanation of the ordering system, which is very user-friendly and easy to use. The food arrived quickly. The selection is large but well-organized. And it tasted absolutely delicious. The prices are fair, too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Hamburg, or even just for a meal out.

This is the best burger I've ever had. The blue cheese paired with the special jam creates a unique flavor, and the lemonade is also delicious, making it a perfect accompaniment to the burger. You can order by scanning the QR code on the table. The food came out fairly quickly, and the interior is new and attractive. I'll definitely go back for burgers next time I'm in town.

We just wanted to grab a quick bite and ordered fries, salad, and nuggets. After waiting for over an hour, the guests next to us (who ordered after us but were sitting at the same table) received their burgers. A few minutes later, the server came with our fries and tried to give them to the group next to us, apparently thinking they were their side dishes. When we finally got our fries, they were ice cold. We mentioned this, and were told it was very busy and we'd have to wait again, which we neither had the time nor the inclination for. I wonder why they don't say at the entrance that you have to wait over an hour. The whole concept of the place isn't well thought out; why can't you place a group order? Then this wouldn't happen. (That option wasn't available; when we asked, they told us to order individually.)

It's 2 hours before they close and they're not seating anyone because it's too full, but I can see open tables. No wait, just closed for the rest of the night.

The food was great, albeit quite expensive. The delivery person was taciturn but efficient. I wouldn't call it service, since you have to order on your own phone/device. This means everyone spends the first five minutes glued to their phones, which I think happens far too often these days. Personally, I'd prefer a regular menu where you can actually chat over it, which feels more pleasant and human. But maybe I'm just old-fashioned. As I said, the food was excellent and arrived quickly. The staff at the exit were very polite and asked about the quality of the food – great. Overall, it's just not my style of service, but everything else was good.

Went back to Burgerlich after 3 years to see if it still hits. Short answer, it does. If anything, it feels slightly better than before. I ordered the Burgerlich Bacon Cheese, also known as The Hearty One. Toasted bun, two juicy patties totaling 180g, spicy cheddar, crispy bacon, homemade burger sauce and BBQ sauce. Veggies were removed and an egg was added because priorities. The meat quality is very good. Juicy, well seasoned, and seared properly with a beautiful crust. The egg was a perfect sunny side up, which is my favorite style. Once that yolk breaks, it turns into a sauce on its own and takes the burger to another level. Bacon was spot on, crispy on the edges with a nice chewy bite in the middle. I did not feel the cheese much, but I am sure it was there doing its job quietly. The sauces were flavorful and tied everything together nicely without overpowering the meat. Overall, this is a very solid and satisfying burger. Consistent quality like this is exactly why Burgerlich is so popular in Hamburg. They have several branches around the city, and based on this visit, it is still very much worth stopping by.

Large store with an unnecessarily complicated ordering system. It's not obvious how the store stays profitable (since it's often not full).

We were looking for a family-friendly restaurant (with a children's corner) close to the city center with our one-year-old daughter. We found it here! Overall, we were very happy. Our food was fantastic, super delicious burgers. The children's corner was a bit worn, which usually doesn't bother little ones, but it's worth mentioning. For our daughter's age, I felt there was a bit less variety in the food. Perhaps a small children's menu could be added (or maybe we just missed it?!). We would still come back, though.

Absolutely delicious! (I had the "Winter Duo" burger and a drink: both the burger itself and the sauce tasted incredibly good). A very stylish and clean atmosphere. And very friendly, fast, and competent service (a special thank you to Leoni 🤗).

2022: I really like the concept of placing your order via a tablet integrated into the table. It's definitely a nice touch. The burgers were good, the fries were my favorite. Service was okay. The price-performance ratio was reasonable. Update: I recently had lunch here and ordered the burger with the "chips." Unfortunately, the fries weren't crispy at all; they tasted more like fried potatoes without bacon and onions. The burger was alright. You can now eat here without much interaction with the staff. You order via a QR code on the table using your own mobile phone and can also pay online.

Very tasty burgers and fries. They also have a good selection of drinks, whether you want something with or without alcohol. We also tried the milkshakes and loved them. Ordering and paying is done via a QR code, and the food arrives very quickly. The atmosphere is relaxed and has a bit of an upscale bar/snack bar feel; it's not fancy, but quite modern. And we liked it. We'll definitely be back. :-)

Lunch there was okay overall. Unfortunately, we found our burgers to be a bit overcooked. The edges were very dry, and mine was very dark. The burgers arrived in under 5 minutes, which seemed very fast. But they cook with gas in a restaurant, so I suppose that explains the speed. The lemonade was delicious 😋. The atmosphere is good and functional, given the high customer traffic. Modern and contemporary. Everything is in good condition, and even the armchairs were really comfortable and not worn out. Excellent. Personally, I prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, but that's just my opinion. The service was excellent.

Update, 2025: At some point, the concept changed from tablet to app. The quality and selection also improved. It's also nice that you can deselect ingredients, e.g., tomatoes. The side salad is better too... ___OLD, from 2019: The burgers are unfortunately very basic. The side salad tasted only of vinegar.

Fantastic burger and incredibly delicious fries. The restaurant itself is nicely designed and offers plenty of seating. My only complaint is the lack of prices online. That's usually a deal-breaker for me; I always get the feeling they're trying to hide something. But I'm glad I made an exception.

Absolutely delicious food! This chain used to be very innovative, with fixed tablets at the table for ordering. Today, there's a QR code to an app, where group ordering can lead to an annoying dead end: if something is entered incorrectly, neither the person, the group creator, nor the staff can correct the error. So it's better for everyone to order individually. You can pay for your table at the exit. Very frustrating, when it used to be so easy.

I went here with friends for dinner late one evening, just before the shop closed. We were kindly informed at the entrance that they would be closing soon, but that we were welcome to eat. I found the ordering system via mobile phone and QR code at the table very practical. You can choose your burger or build it yourself and select a drink. Payment at the end would also work via mobile phone. The burgers were really good, juicy, tasty, and a great brioche bun. There's a good selection of sides, including, very unusually, baked cauliflower! This was GREAT and highly recommended. The service was very quick, and the staff even invited us for a nightcap! Thank you! The restaurant itself feels cozy, and the large tables with benches were also comfortable to sit at. I'd love to come back here again if I'm in the area!

The price-performance ratio just isn't right. If I have to order it myself, maybe it should be a bit cheaper.

The food was very good. We had a vegetarian burger with an oat patty and one with meat. The meat was juicy, cooked through, and very tasty. The oat patty had a good consistency, but lacked flavor. Otherwise, the veggie burger was also very tasty. The service was very good. There was a very good shot on the house, and we were immediately offered a second spoonful of dessert, which we shared. Great! The dessert, or rather the ice cream that came with it, was the clear highlight; the oat patty was immediately forgotten!

Service is great, quality of food overall is really good. But every time I have eaten here the food is just *too* salty. I’m never one to complain about this, but it’s over the top. Other people I have eaten with have complained about this too. Please tone down the salt usage.

We ate at this burger joint last night. At first, everything was fine – the food came quickly and tasted good. But then, suddenly, a mouse ran through the guest area on the first floor, where the kitchen is located. We were visibly shocked. What particularly irritated us was that the employees barely reacted and acted as if it were nothing unusual. Even the owner, whom we spoke to about it, took the situation completely calmly – no apology or understanding. It seemed as if this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. Hygiene should be the top priority in a restaurant. For us, this was an absolute no-go – we will definitely not be coming back and cannot recommend the place to anyone under these circumstances.

Disgusting experience – never again! We just ate at Bürgerlich in Hamburg. The burger actually tasted quite good, but just before I finished my burger, a mouse suddenly ran across the dining room! I immediately reported it to the staff, but they didn't seem particularly surprised or shocked – as if it were nothing new. Despite this incident, we had to pay the full bill without any apology or consideration. In my opinion, this is a clear case for the health department. Absolutely unappetizing and irresponsible – we will definitely not be coming back.

A great restaurant with something for everyone. We were looking for a place to eat with our little one (U1) and we more than found it here. There was a highchair and even a play area for the little ones. Great burgers, and the fries were even homemade (with the skin on, and even the little "leftovers" were fried with the fries), so you can still see the potato :) The server was super friendly, and we were able to sit comfortably even with the stroller. Would go back anytime! The music could be a bit loud, but it wasn't too distracting. The ordering system via mobile is super quick and easy.

A lovely, relaxed restaurant, ideal for meeting up with friends. The service is very pleasant. Convenient for introverts: ordering and paying is done entirely via the website. Traditional ordering directly from the waitress is also a breeze. The food was very tasty. I (1.90 m tall) found the burger a bit too small, so I deducted one star. Half a star would have been enough, if that were possible. From the top, you have a good view of the busy street. All in all, a good place that I'd happily return to.

My burger was super juicy and tasty! The kids enjoyed their meals too. Upstairs there is a play corner for the kids.

I stumbled upon this place spontaneously. I was greeted warmly at the entrance, and the ordering process was explained very clearly. I had the beef with bacon, which was very good. The fries looked a little burnt, but they were okay. The service here is really good; everyone is very attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food.

Lunch with a view of Gänsemarkt in a pleasant atmosphere. It takes some getting used to being able to order only digitally via an app/website, and it's not always intuitive until you've clicked through all the necessary options, but the food was truly delicious and very good value: €11.90 for a burger, fries, and a drink. Service was quick, but they couldn't help with why there was no Coke on the lunch menu. You also have to pay separately on the ground floor… still recommended!

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm here often, and today, or rather Monday 😅, it was quite busy. Nevertheless, everything was super organized, friendly, and quick. 😁 I particularly noticed two blonde waitresses this time. Even though it was busy, they took the time to give us friendly advice and also recommended the Beastie Boy Burger, which was incredibly delicious, by the way. Highly recommended... paying was, as always, easy at the cash register. You can just tell when people enjoy their job and are motivated. The music just wasn't to my taste, but maybe next time. Keep it up 🙏 I'll be back as always.

Das Burgerlich liegt Zentral am Gänsemarkt in der Nähe von der Staatsoper, die U-Bahn ist in der Nähe. Parkhäuser sind in der Nähe- aber teuer-. Das Lokal hat zwei Stockwerke mit Rundumsicht, weil es halt vorne Rund ist. Bestellen und Bezahlen geht nur über das Smartphone, ob man das gut findet muss jeder selbst entscheiden. Ich bestellte einen BBQ Burger und eine Apfelsaft Schorle, die schmeckte ehr langweilig und fad. Der Burger ist eher normal groß oder klein. Geschmacklich war der gut, mit Salat, Tomaten und gebratenen Bacon und verschiedenen Saucen. Als ich den aufgegessen hatte, dachte ich mir, naja eine Kleinigkeit geht noch, also bestellte ich mir noch gebackene Kartoffelscheiben mit BBQ Sauce. Nach meinem bestellprozess , viel mir auf das keine Sauce/ Ketchup oä. dabei ist. So landete das in meinem Warenkorb. Nun versuchte ich nur Sauce zu bestellen, aber nach meiner Wahl bemerkte ich, dass ich nun 2x Kartoffeln mit 1. x Sauce bestellt hatte. Das wollte ich korrigieren, aber 1x stornieren ging nicht. Aber in der Smartphone Online Anwendung konnte ich : ICH HABE EINE FRAGE anklicken- aber nichts wirklich reinschreiben! Aber es kam ein Mitarbeiter zu meinem Tisch und nahm meinen Wunsch entgegen 1x ohne zu stornieren. Bezahlt werden kann ua. mit der im Smartphone hinterlegten Kreditkarte, dass klappte auch gut. Im Umkreis von wenigen Hundert Metern gibt es ja einige Möglichkeiten Bürger zu essen, ich finde das hier eine gute Location. Preislich tun die sich alle nichts. Ich komme sicherlich noch mal wieder.

You can pay online or by card at the exit. Just like at the Speersort location, they also offer free apples to take away—a great idea. Highly recommended, and overall, good value for money.

We were very attracted to the restaurant from the outside, so we spontaneously decided to eat there. The atmosphere was very fresh and pleasant. The lemonades are excellent! Very refreshing. Whoever made my halloumi burger with extra cheddar and extra onion rings deserves a big compliment and thank you from me! The grilled vegetables in it, the whole combo, are simply special and delicious! This burger is definitely in my top 3 burgers I've ever eaten! Simply amazing!

The ambience is great, but we came to eat. This in turn is mediocre, tending towards not recommended. I can't say much about the service, because other than bringing the food to the table, you don't have much to do with them, you order via your cell phone, you can also pay via your cell phone or at the checkout downstairs.

Ordered for the first time, unfortunately very complicated with the QR-CODE system. Unfortunately, since I had the seat in the open kitchen, you could see everything... working without gloves while preparing the burgers and wiping away the mess with your hands is very unappetizing!
