Really rustic old restaurant in our village with great food. Top service, home-style food. Price performance is right. Owner very friendly and helpful. I'm very happy to come here.

Once and never again! The service (older waitress) was very unfriendly and arrogant and treated us condescendingly. She was snarky and you could tell she didn't enjoy her work. Other guests at the next table also commented on her appearance: "XY is in a bad mood today" - you simply shouldn't treat your guests like that (even if you're having a bad day)... The food was okay, hence more than 1 star. We definitely won't be coming back! 2 stars

Everything is civil here. The name of the restaurant (“bürgerhof”), the food (“good middle-class”) and the crowd (suitable for the food). The portions are large and meat dominated. The prices are moderate. The shop is buzzing when it's in full operation (weekends). The staff has everything under control, despite all the stress. The restaurant has been around for over 40 years (I was still a citizen of Gonsenheim) and apparently it has a permanent place in the gastronomic landscape. I wouldn't want to become a regular here; in my opinion, there are no exciting ideas on the menu. But I can still recommend the restaurant. At least for the slightly older audience. But what is older? A word about the location: Centrally located on the main street “Breite Straße” in the Gonsenheim district of Mainz. The tram passes by outside. There is also a small beer garden.

Yes, the last time I was here was 5 years ago. Was a big regular customer before, but then wasn't served for 45 minutes. I never came back after that.

Very good, home-style cuisine. There are dishes there that you can hardly get these days. Inexpensive lunch!

We went to eat in this restaurant because we were looking for something typically german and that's exactly what we found. We eat super good food, the environment was super nice and even if we didn't speak german, the lady who was serving us was so kind and helpful... A great night to spend with friends or family, very much suggested!

Here the name says it all, good home cooking like from a picture book. Schnitzel in different variations, rump steak very tasty and all in quite large portions at fair prices. Very courteous and fast service. The classic Mainz wine spritzer as “Derree” €0.90 cheaper than a normal bottle, where else can you get something like that? Top recommendation, down-to-earth and good without “ferz & kricke”!!!

Great bourgeois cuisine. The lunch specials are awesome and great. The bourgeois palate is pampered here.

After a walk from Finthen to Gonsenheim, a visit to the Bürgerhof is a must. We like to stop by there to have a drink after the march. Nice and friendly staff will take good care of you.

Very varied menu with many small dishes - including: fresh tartare. 😁 Great service, delicious early Kölsch and wine spritzers. If there is Kaiserschmarrn - definitely try it!! Mega delicious! 🥰 Be sure to reserve a table!

The Bürgerhof, has been in Gonsenheim for ages. Food and drink very good. Seasonal cuisine, unfortunately closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Home cooking. Very tasty and freshly prepared. The price/performance ratio is perfect. The service is attentive and quick. We like coming here.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service, Essen gut bürgerlich, kann guten Gewissens weiter empfohlen werden Nachtrag 22.11.2023 Das Essen ist nach wie vor sehr gut, vielfältige bürgerliche Deutsche Küche, das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, weil man sich "Essen gehen" auch mit kleinem Budget noch erlauben kann und danach auch satt ist. 🙂🙃 Der Service ist sehr gut, die Bedienung ist flott, Supernett weiß auf Fragen eine Antwort und ist in der Lage einen Gruppentisch mit einem Bon einzeln abzurechnen ohne Komplikationen, Danke dafür. Macht es bitte noch ein paar Jährchen. 👌👍 P.S. Schön das es frisch gezapftes Paulaner Bier gibt.

Leider kann ich für mein Essen "Schnitzel mit Paprikasauce, Pommes, kleiner Salat für 16,00 Euro" nur 2 Sterne vergeben, da die Paprikasauce meiner Meinung nach komplett eine Pulversauce zum anrühren war. In jedem Fall extrem künstlich im Geschmack! Schade, dass der Koch die Paprikasauce nicht selbst herstellt. Ansonsten war es dort wirklich schön und wir hatten eine nette Servicekraft.

Eine Gaststätte, die deutsches Essen serviert. Die Schnitzel schmecken sehr gut, die Pommes sind knusprig und gut gewürzt . Die Bedienung ist freundlich, das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Hier schmeckt es.

Ein leider nicht mehr all zu oft anzutreffendes Wirtshaus mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Kartoffeln wie zu Großmutters Zeiten im Salzwasser gegart, klassische Gerichte und vor allem das täglich wechselnde Stammessen (Vorspeise plus Hauptspeise). Hier erhält man noch für 10 EUR ein vortreffliches Mittagsgericht. Psst! Bitte nicht weiterempfehlen, sonst werden die Plätze noch knapper.

Völlig in Ordnung, Bedienung ging Recht schnell, Bier ist Bier und das Essen i.O. Urig ist es auch, hat gepasst.
