Service force was very unfriendly. We asked if our burgers could please be cut. Wasn't done because otherwise they would fall apart (it's my decision) Eat : Our starter was forgotten. They came but the Onion Rings could have been there longer. The burgers were okay. Smash Burger was more like a bulette from McDonalds. The chicken burger just tasted spicy and that was it. You have to order each sauce separately. I really can't emphasize enough how rarely unfriendly the service staff was. There are much better shops in the area. The waiter got really cheeky towards the end.

The food is really tasty but the portions are manageable. From that point of view, the prices are rather sporty. Above all, the operation and speed of preparation can be improved very much. 45 minutes for a side order is definitely too long... Update: Back here after 6 years. You are still very nice, but unfortunately the rest remains the same. The supply of drinks was particularly poor in places today. It's a real shame because the ambience, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff are really good.

Vegetarians and vegans: order somewhere else! We ordered food there twice and both times we were served the meaty version instead of the vegetarian version. The first time we were promised a voucher as compensation. We're still waiting for this one. The second time, after calling back, I was told to write an email so that the boss would know. No reaction. Not even receipt of the email was confirmed to me. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star for the service (although the man I spoke to on the phone the second time was very nice). The ambience in the restaurant is good overall. You can actually get vegetarian burgers there too.

My wife was at Burgerheart on Monday with two friends and the babies. Actually, people in Rüttenscheid are now used to being thrown out with strollers. But the extremely nice service person not only cleared a whole corner but also warmed up some drinks and was super nice. Since such behavior on the Rü seems to be the exception rather than the rule, kudos to the lady and the shop, which apparently isn't afraid of women with small children!

I'm always annoyed when I have to pay at least 70 cents for extra expensive sweet potato fries (6.50) so that I can get ketchup or mayo with them. Not to mention the prices of the other “sauces”. Suggestion: Pay extra for the burger sauce or, best of all, pay for each part of the burger individually... Or sell drinks without glass. Some things shouldn't be separated, including fries and ketchup/mayo.

The Chuck Norris burger with extra cheddar cheese & fried egg is highly recommended. If you're not very hungry, the burger without any side dishes is enough. The service is nice and toilets are available. The interior design is beautifully done and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Certainly worth another visit.

Went there for a burger for the first time today. We'll be back. Super tasty burgers and fries, big enough portion, top value for money as a lunch menu. Great service. It happened very quickly, even though there was a larger group there at the same time. The waiter Isi had everything under control 👍🏻

Visually beautiful place. Apart from us there was only one couple there. The waitress couldn't find the burger he wanted from the menu on his tablet, but was able to order it in the kitchen. The taste of the burger wasn't that overwhelming, the bun was cold and hard, and the high price was irritating. The toilets are clean, but really dark, so a little more light (in the sink area) would be nice.

In short: not enough for the money. Long waiting times for the waiter. (Vegetarian) burgers in size and size comparable to those from McD and BurgerKing - for a price that is far too high. We will definitely not come back again

The food was so good that I ordered 5 of the Cheesy Burgers to take away. The caramelized onions were the perfect balance between sweet and sour and had such an exotic flavor that could easily make you see Jesus. In addition, the waiter named Gerti was super nice and exceeded our expectations. He definitely deserves a raise. All in all, I recommend the food and will definitely come again!

In a world where patties dance on flames and buns are fluffier than clouds in May, there is a utopia, Burgerheart. What's happening here isn't just food, it's cloud 9 itself between two buns. Not even the crab patty is nearly as good. The first bite? The juicy meat whispers "love" while the cheese slowly envelops your heart like lava. Every burger is like a love letter to your stomach. Even the fries tell stories, crispy and salty. If you don't know Burgerheart, you just eat... sadly. Gerti, my friend, best waiter in the WORLD! He was faster than Sonic at work!

A great restaurant with delicious food. The rustic furnishing style gives the restaurant a nice ambience. The food is made with a lot of love and tastes fantastic. The fries are crispy and freshly prepared as are the burgers, which are juicy and cooked just right. The drinks too. The fun placemats brighten our mood every time we visit. Gerti's service exceeded our expectations as he gave us a warm welcome. Thank you for this great restaurant visit to Burgerheart, we'll be happy to come back.

Absolutely thrilled with Bürgerheart! The burgers were just perfect – juicy, fresh and full of flavor. The ingredients taste high quality and are creatively combined. It's not cheap but very tasty, starting with the normal fries. The burgers are also great and the selection of vegetarian burgers is large. Definitely worth it.

I asked the waiter why my Double Smah Burger wasn't bigger than a cheeseburger at mäkkes, but it was 8 times as expensive. That wasn't a good idea. He then very intrusively explained to me for 5 minutes why he was the best burger place and that I had no idea. But it doesn't do me any good if the burgers are a disappointment and don't fill you up

Cozy nice location, made a stopover in Essen and had dinner there, tip top and excellent, highly recommended 👍

I would have liked if the paying for drinks was smoothly possible. We had a group of people at a table and had to dip at different times, so we had to pay at different times, however they seemed to be more insistent on paying per table. I understand that since it was a busy Sat. evening but if you have to leave earlier, you just have to leave earlier. All in all though, very nice staff, good english, and the dish names certainly inspire laughter.

The waiter was very personable, took care of our table quickly and well and the food was still really hot. People also kept asking whether my companion or I wanted something more to drink. Greetings to Dirk. The evening/lunch was great and can only be recommended.

We have been eating at Burgerheart regularly for years and have never been disappointed. Delicious burgers, great fries and great sodas, plus always friendly service. Today we met a new waitress (Gerti) who was also super nice to us as a family. Therefore - always happy again!

Burgerheart has a good selection of vegetarian and vegan burgers with different patties. You can sit outside and inside. The service was unobtrusive yet courteous and quick. Gerti (a waiter) was able to read our every wish without seeming intrusive. We had a lovely time :)

Ordered here several times, always delicious burgers and side dishes! Service topic - Gert, you are the best. Orders were mixed up, he came over personally in a private car and apologized 100 times, such a good person.

The fries were phenomenally good. The main product of the burgers was ok overall. Unfortunately it was only lukewarm and the patty was relatively dry. The prices were also a bit excessive. The service was very good and nice. Be careful: some classics contain ranch sauce, which we think changes the classic burger taste very much.

I used to enjoy being a guest at Burgerheart in Essen Rüttenscheid, but over time the food got worse and the prices got higher. I would also understand the latter because of the increased prices for food and staff. But the last few times the food was just so bad that the price-performance ratio was no longer right. Where should I inquire? The last few times the burgers were prepared as if I had leftover food at home that I could use in the form of a burger (but see for yourself from the photos). Although I was a little disappointed every time I saw the burgers, I did what I came for and ate the burger. And that's where the main criticism begins for me. Several visits in a row, burnt patty, burnt bun and a strange fishy taste that doesn't go well with a beef burger. The sauce and the mushy tomato slice couldn't cover it up anymore. Just not tasty at all, even a bit disgusting due to the fish taste. The last two times I choked down the burger and thought about a slip-up in the kitchen. When I experienced the same thing on the third visit, I couldn't eat the burger except for one bite. When the waiter asked me when paying with his standard sentence whether it was tasty, he was completely surprised when I said no. I explained why the burger was inedible and showed the charred ingredients. I could only explain the disgusting fish taste because he probably didn't want to try it himself. After he was initially taken aback, he apologized and joked that his boss was cooking himself today. I paid for this last meal and vowed to avoid this restaurant in the future. It's a shame actually.

13€ for a small burger without fries. The burger (veggie with goat cheese) was soggy, dry and disappointing in taste. Service took forever, had to ask several times. I felt ripped off and ripped off. Very, very annoying and the last time...

Yesterday's food was very tasty! Unfortunately, after dinner, when the plates were cleared away, we weren't served for over an hour. There was a cellar nearby, but it was unresponsive and didn't pay any attention to our table. We would have liked to order something else, but after waiting far too long we actively went to the counter ourselves to pay there. Probably won't visit Burgerheart again.

Chicken burger was very bland, chips seemed to be frozen beforehand making it stale and the beef burger was average at best. 2 burgers, fries and a dip costing 32 euros, overpriced. Would not come again.

A bad joke! Cheap supermarket fries, water with syrup and a burger with a slice of tomato and cucumber and a dollop of sauce for just under 30 euros. I won't go there again but the service was very nice.

Wir kamen von einer Reise zurück, sonntags - und da ist der Kühlschrank natürlich leer, also mussten wir essen gehen; 200 Gramm und Pans Bebop hatten zu, Tofino wie immer überlaufen, also wollten wir mal Burgerheart probieren, die Bewertungen sind ja nicht schlecht, dachten wir... Aber ich war von meinem Burger (Chuck Norris) sehr enttäuscht, mein Freund fand seinen New York Chili Cheese und die Pommes mit Trüffelmayo besser - etwas zu dunkel frittierte, außen zu harte Fritten (vielleicht bereits fertig und zum Aufwärmen nochmal frittiert? - ein Burgerrestaurant sollte 1/4-inch Fries im amerikanischen Stil bieten, innen fluffig, außen golden blond und knusprig aber nicht braun und hart, und sie sollten mindestens so lange warm und perfekt bleiben, bis die Portion gegessen ist) im belgisch-holländischen Stil, Trüffelmayo lasch und kaum gewürzt (eher nicht frisch zubereitet würde ich sagen), und der Burger mit Saucen, die auf einem Burger nichts zu suchen haben (Ranch Dressing? fertige Burgersauce?), extra cheese fehlte, dafür leicht fischig schmeckende Gurken und oller Salat, Burger Bun fiel auseinander, Fleisch nicht saftig - alles bißchen traurig, da schmeckt es bei den wenigen Burger Kings und McDonalds, die alles frisch zubereiten und eine gute Filialleitung und Mitarbeiter haben, weit besser. Mein Freund war wie gesagt zufriedener, aber Schärfe (Jalapenos) und geschmolzener Käse kaschieren halt einiges. Ich empfehle die amerikanische Website Serious Eats, da kann man lernen, wie perfekte Burger und Fries gehen... Unsere Wunschgetränke waren auch aus übrigens, was an sich nicht schlimm ist, aber im Gesamtbild das Ganze auch nicht professioneller wirken läßt.

With the NeoTaste app we actually wanted to try out the burger shop burgerheart so that we might come back next time if we liked it. We regularly use this opportunity to become aware of new restaurants and write about them in a well-known food blog and on Instagram. Unfortunately, and that was our mistake, we booked Saturday instead of Friday via the app. Unfortunately, cancellation was not possible, although this is shown as an option. So far so good. After a conversation with the waitress about a polite redemption of this voucher today instead of tomorrow, we were informed by the management/shift management that this was unfortunately not possible and that you would only be given a certain quota for redemption every day. Whether we had eaten the burger today or tomorrow would have made no difference in accounting terms. The fact is that we obviously won't be able to honor the deal tomorrow. I'm really sad about the lack of goodwill. This meant that burgerheart lost revenue today and in the future. It's a shame for both sides. We leave with a bad feeling and probably won't come back for a while.

The food is okay to good, which is why my girlfriend always wants to come here, even though the service is pretty bad - things are forgotten, orders are passed on incorrectly... We have already ordered there two or three times and so far the order has never been complete. When they called about this, they were at a loss, promised a call back, didn't call back and then referred them to Lieferando because they weren't responsible. Lieferando gave us money back - but didn't bring any fries 😭 I like to eat the “Hemp im Glück” burger there, the staff seems to do other things with hemp.

I got there via Neotaste. We stated this at the beginning and activated the deal before him. Didn't work, waiter paid in full. Food wasn't too special, too expensive. The waiter also seemed unmotivated and since the shop was empty (we were there in the afternoon during the week), service took a long time, around 45 minutes - after all, it's burgers and fries - not an act. Nice atmosphere. Wouldn't go there again. Better go somewhere else.

Burgers are reasonably priced, but service is really subpar. Wait 1 hour so you can order something after your meal. Talking to each other is more important than serving guests. And that with 8 tables… then we paid and left.

Very central and cozy shop with really nice staff. I have rarely seen such an interesting and good selection of food and drinks. There are homemade sugar-free and high-sugar lemonades. Vegan, vegetarian and meat burgers, as well as a seasonally changing menu. At this time interesting dishes with asparagus. We were there on a Monday evening and it was very empty.

Ambiance is okay but the staff is almost never seen. We waited a very long time for our order to be taken. The drinks came wrong the first time and it took another while to eat. If you wanted something, you had to wait a long time even though the store was quite empty when we visited. The wrong one again the next time I order a drink. In terms of price, I think it's too expensive for the mediocre taste and service.

Burgerheart is always worth a visit :) Drinks are welcome to be requested at shorter intervals.

Service forgot about our reservation, but it was not like they were stacked, so we easily found a place to sit down. Burgers are quite expensive and there's a good selection of vegetarian varieties. My burger with a, what I believe to be a beyond patty or something alike was pretty tasty, the fries were also great as well. The vegan patty my friend had was rather dull, as was his whole burger. We were looking for a place to have some good cocktails along with our burgers and here in lies the problem. The main detractor were the drinks. They were either mixed too strong, or barely tasted like the drink they were supposed to be at all. Would not recommend the moscow mule, if you like mules especially, spare yourself the disappointment and get a beer or a soda and a burger and you'll be fine.

The burger was very small in relation to the price. The meat quality was good. However, the taste was rather average. We had to wait over 40 minutes for two burgers. The staff was unfriendly and avoided eye contact with customers to avoid possible requests or requests. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience and I can't recommend this store.
