Nice if noisy ambience, good creative food and best service, comparatively high prices. The BLB belongs to the Jacob and therefore actually belongs to the class of “overpriced wannabe chic Micki Instagram” restaurants of Munich. However, it stands out clearly from its sister restaurant, which actually makes it highly recommendable: The ambience is really very well done, very nice atmosphere, but also very, very loud, you almost have to shout at each other at times, tables are sometimes quite close together. Fortunately, only a small part of the audience corresponds to the cliché mentioned above, a really good mix. The food, like the drinks, is good in every respect, creative, varied, tasty (i.e. all in all - I've had individual dishes that didn't suit my taste, but were still perfectly made - a matter of taste) and visually flawless. On a really good, pleasant level between regular and fine dining. The service is just right, professional but still very pleasantly relaxed. Personally, I still find the prices to be high, a bit too high for that. A burger for almost €30 without any side dishes is definitely an announcement, even for a house in this location. All in all, the BLB can definitely be recommended for a convivial evening with friends and good food. For a very quiet, romantic evening for two, perhaps just as a “preliminary step” in front of a nice bar.

High-end food place. Very nice building and really excellent service. To a level which is (sadly) very rare in Munich. Food was delicious (we tried the burgers) as well as the cocktails.

Everything is more apparent than it is - or: bad food and bad service for a lot of money... Food: Pasta with lobster and asparagus (approx. €45) - the pasta was bland, the lobster was way too cooked and rubbery. The truffle fries are an absolute joke! These are just McDonald fries with grated truffles on top... We also ordered cocktails (around €20/cocktail) - in my case a Julep Royal. The price is a complete disgrace for the quality of the cocktail. I've had this cocktail several times in Munich for €15 and with a much better taste. Ambience: The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated - but there are much nicer and fancier restaurants, especially in Munich. Service: Disaster! We got a single wine list for 10 people. This was also completely mixed up, so we ordered a red wine instead of a white wine. When this came and we pointed out the error, all they said was “now the bottle is already open” - given the prices they are quoting there, you clearly expect a different answer. We were there in a larger group, at the end we asked for the cocktail menu, and we were brought a single menu for many people...unprofessional...

Good little shop in the city. More of an insider. Good service. In my opinion the prices are too high, so not for everyone. If you have the right change, you could go there more often.

Shocker. Avoid! €200 for 2 mains - of tiny lobster and stale, flavourless burgers. Thinking it was the Burger & Lobster. Turns out to just be skimming the name from a great restaurant and then delivering sub par service. €4.50 for a side of bbq sauce........says it all

Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as expected. Unfortunately the burger wasn't that good. Unfortunately the tartare wasn't really good either. Price performance hmmmmm better not.

In 2014 I was at the BLB in Munich for the first time. Now, in 2024, it's that time again: A Friday evening, 8:45 p.m., a table for 5 friends. The mood? Exactly as I remembered it: crowded, loud, and chill at the same time. The service was great – Ajana accompanied us very personably throughout the evening. The wine bottles were large and the food was simply delicious. Since the portions aren't exactly small, we shared the beef carpaccio as a starter - just a small bite for everyone, but an absolute treat! There is a place for smokers outside in the backyard that stays dry even when it rains. And yes, the later the evening, the louder the guests? Definitely here! But that's exactly what contributes to the cool atmosphere. The prices? Not for the faint of heart, that's true. But hey, the food is really tasty and really well made, the concept still works today. Do you want delicious burgers with a twist in a cool atmosphere? Then you've come to the right place. Thanks to the entire BLB team for a great, long evening!

A very noisy place Food varies according to taste, but I didn't like it. Only Burgers are edible, their sauce is too sugary. We wanted steak, cooked medium well. The raw you know has arrived. We told them, they did not take the fee. A beautiful place to look at Don't keep your expectations high

A real insider tip in Munich. We were here for the second time and it was great. The atmosphere is appealing and the service is friendly. The burgers are very tasty and the truffle fries are also recommended.

Trendy shop for Insta people. Here you only see people filming and taking photos. The food was a little better. Burgers, fries and lobster, what a combination. various drinks, even beer from a wine glass (yuck). In the evening the restaurant becomes a disco. Bring money. Munich is no longer moderate here.

The service employee was charming, funny and attentive, as well as a professional for optimal exposure settings on the cell phone camera :) The burgers were simply fantastic both in terms of appearance and taste! Absolute recommendation for every burger lover who ends up in Munich.

Went to the BLB again yesterday with friends and we were completely satisfied! The food, service and ambience were perfect.

One of the very few places to get a lobster roll in Munich, which also automatically turns into a pricey feat as considered quite a specialty. Interior inviting, there is an outdoor yard. Service was efficient and accommodating, such level attention from waiting staff can be encountered not everywhere here. Truffle fries and cheesecake were good. Lobster roll itself was a little lackluster due to abundant cocktail seasoning, so the tender lobster taste is almost fading. Apart from that all on point.

Nice rooms, beautifully set tables. We had made a reservation, but the blonde man who brought us to the table wasn't particularly friendly. Our Asian waiter, on the other hand, was very nice and helpful. Nevertheless, we were literally forced to order a bottle of water (8.50 euros). The burgers were okay, but we've had better ones. The cocktail sauce with LOBSTER tasted like preservatives. The Pinot Gris from Korrell was a delicious wine. Not bad, but we expected more.

See and be seen in Munich. A bit hip if you like that but definitely a great restaurant. Tasty burgers, but not amazing, it's the ambience that counts. Be sure to reserve!

As a long-time guest, you will be turned away at the door on the day of the DFB match when the European Championship is ongoing, explicitly because of the Germany jersey. Without words…

We were there with friends and the location is very cozy, but we were a little disappointed with the food. The food was advertised to us, but I was particularly disappointed with the truffle gnocchi. They neither looked like gnocchi nor tasted like them (looked more like Kaiserschmarren) and they didn't taste like truffles at all, unfortunately there was also no salt. The drinks are good, but my husband was very surprised by the beer glass, which looked more like a wine glass. Of course, the price is in line with Munich standards, but this is not justified for some drinks and especially if the food doesn't taste as advertised. Furthermore, I find it extremely inappropriate and above all impossible when the service staff complains about their tips and keeps asking when we will finally order. Whether we'll come back is anyone's guess, but it was actually a nice evening... until the service staff dampened the mood. All other service staff were friendly and attentive.

In one word, a legendary place! The atmosphere, the tables illuminated by candlelight, the food...all were very enjoyable. Burger&Lobster in London is also good, but the burgers at this place are by far better. Shrimps are delicious. (The two restaurants are not related to each other, but their names and menu concepts are very similar, so we compared them) Our waiter was very polite and attentive. The place is in a very central but quiet location. Even though we went without a reservation, we found a place. I would say the only drawback is that the prices are a little high. It is definitely a must-visit place in Munich.

Losing your umbrella after being constantly asked for a drink by many annoying women is unacceptable. Not a nice experience. SORRY

Absolutely disappointing experience! While the food at Burger & Lobster bank was great, our entire evening was soured by the way we were treated when it came time to pay. The waiter had the audacity to insinuate that we MUST tip, and not just any tip, but specifically 10%. The manner in which he conveyed this was passive-aggressive and incredibly distasteful. This left a very bad taste in our mouths, and we certainly won’t be coming back again. Customer service like this is unacceptable and ruins what could have been a lovely dining experience. While, I naturally tip wherever I go, that kind of attitude is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere where your patronage is genuinely appreciated.

Nice Bar, with super nice DJs. The evening I was there DJ L3VELS was playing. It was such a great vibe and I will definitely have to find out what other locations this DJ is also playing. Food is very nice and of high quality and so are the drinks. So definitely a venue I’d recommend. 🥳

In order to be able to judge the food, I would have to come to eat… But as a bar late in the evening and with a DJ for dancing, it's a cool location! From Thursday onwards, reservations for food must be made well in advance.

Great food, great service, but not an ideal place to have a business type meeting. It can get a little noisy and not a lot of space between tables... but social and informal gatherings are perfect.

For the price, the burger didn't taste particularly good. There are better burger restaurants. In our opinion, this restaurant focuses on above-average pricing, but does not ask for a corresponding service.

Unfortunately the bar is no longer what it was 2-3 years ago. Very young audience and a different level, as well as atmosphere. A pity!

I ordered steak, lobster, burgers, and asparagus soup, basically all very delicious. Moderate saltiness and tender meat. WEISSBIER beer is not bad. The clerk was very proactive and wanted to ask us if we wanted more drinks and if we wanted to order an extra bottle of sparkling water (it seemed like there was a lot of performance pressure). Apart from this, which is a bit stressful, the rest is very good. One more thing: the unit price of the meals is not low~

Great food, friendly staff and good vibe

We come to the BLB once a year for the Christmas party. What can you say: great service, incredibly tasty food and then there's a bit of a party afterwards. I love this place!

Very good restaurant in the upper price range. The starter was extremely delicious (spare ribs cheese balls). The main course, however, was rather weak (BLB Burger). The lobster in the burger tasted a bit chewy like that. However, the dessert was again brilliant! Overall conclusion: highly recommended store, but unfortunately a bit expensive!

Our table was reserved for 2 hours, the reception informed us. But after about an hour and a quarter our service person asked if she could cash in on us. Perhaps we gave the impression that we were too engrossed in conversation. We would have liked to have ordered a little more and didn't nibble on the cheapest food or hold on to the glass of water beforehand. We could have easily done all of this in three quarters of an hour; we wanted to leave at 8:30 p.m. anyway. But it wasn't really possible because the table was reassigned earlier than we were told. The waitress suggested we could have it at the bar. What was interesting about the situation was that there were enough (!) tables available. The “waiting” guests would have had a table at all times. There was no problem with space. It is surprising that they didn't ask diplomatically whether we would like to order something else - if this question had been answered with no, she could of course have asked the follow-up question. That way we wouldn't have noticed anything unpleasant. But we simply felt thrown out after about 1.25 hours. But we were just allowed to drink. All of this left us with such a bitter impression that we are looking for an alternative.

It closes at 3 but the music stops at 1:30 😂

I had my bachelorette at this place. We were place at the best table sign a good view. The food was great and so was our waiter / bartender. The drinks could have been stronger. We felt like the alcohol wasn’t enough in the mix. Besides that, we also didn’t expect the crowd to be in their 20s. It got really crowded before midnight. It was hard to go through the crowd. I’d recommend the food but not a place for after party if you don’t like to be squeeze amongst the crowd.

Great ambience classy lookout and yummy food too

Went there spontaneously without a reservation and got the last table for two. Very nice location. Service very friendly. Food and drinks were top. The whole atmosphere and the guests had a good style. Will come again on the next short trip.

Our food was delicious and our waitress Maria was very nice and accommodating. I think the mixed crowd here is very nice, ages 20-60, the food is always very good and there is a DJ on the weekends. Absolutely recommended as a “pre warmer” in the evening.

I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior and lousy service (and I don't mean the waiters) before, even though I go to the restaurant almost every day. At first you think what kind of clientele is there in the store and why aren't they asked to leave, and then you realize that it's the boss himself, who obviously doesn't realize (or simply doesn't care) that he is a host and such behavior is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. The food was quite good, but unfortunately that doesn't help if I'm not even valued as a customer when the prices are exorbitant.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, weil wir Hummer essen wollten. Waren sehr zufrieden. Auch die Cocktails und die Nachspeisen waren sehr lecker. Etwas befremdlich war, dass es für Bier keine Gläser gab. Augustiner aus einem Weinglas zu trinken, wirkte leicht befremdlich! ;-) Vielen Dank an unsere Bedienung Maria, die sich super um uns gekümmert hat! Einen Stern Abzug gibt's beim Ambiente, da die 2er-Tische schon sehr eng gestellt sind. Ansonsten alles Top! Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! :-)

Überfüllt und teuer. Ich hatte das Gefühl es ist das einzige Bar in der Stadt. Muzik war zu laut.

Excellent restaurant. Very well described by its name! We were greeted politely, had a nice table, and given a helpful explanation of the daily specials. The food was superb, and we had really good cocktails as well. I will definitely return here on my next visit to Munich. Full marks!

Etwas schickeres Restaurant für Burger, das für eine durchaus gute, aber nicht überragende Qualität selbstbewusste Preise aufruft. Alles etwas auf Showeffekte getrimmt, denn das Restaurant hat einen interessanten, eigenen Stil, der durchaus neugierig macht und auch ein entsprechendes Publikum anzieht. Nach drei Besuchen war bei mir die Begeisterung dann aber verflogen, nicht zuletzt weil mit dem CA-BA-LU bei uns im Lehel bessere Burger gleich uns Eck angeboten werden.

Sehr lecker aber auch sehr groß

Ich kann mich den letzten ein paar Rezensionen anschließen - nettes Lokal mit überteuertem, aber geschmacklich eher durchschnittlichem Essen, eher mittelmäßigem Service, aber guten Getränken. Wir waren 6 Mädels und mussten 3 Wochen im Voraus reservieren. Fast alle hatten ein Coctail als Aperitif, zum Essen Burger und Trüffel Pommes. Burger war überflutet mit Sauce sodass man von dem Inhalt sonst kaum etwas schmeckte. Die Pommes waren super trocken und fettig, als ob sie mehrmals aufgewärmt wurden. Das Service - war im Großen und Ganzen in Ordnung, allerdings mit Entwicklungspotential.

Ich war dort, um einen Hamburger zu essen. Die Atmosphäre des Ortes eignet sich auf jeden Fall eher für Getränke als für ein Abendessen. Kleine Portionen, geeignet als Snack, nicht als Hauptgericht.

Company Event. Wir hatten keine Burger, dafür Kleinigkeiten Allerlei. Und die waren bestens. Ich konnte gar nicht aufhören zu essen. Der Rotwein war Klasse, der Service auch. Leider wars zu laut, ein bisschen Brauhaus Atmosphäre. Wer's mag. Mir sind ruhigere Plätze lieber, aber für das Essen würde ich jederzeit wieder hingehen. Die Preise kann ich nicht bewerten. Ging auf die Firma.

Wir wollten eigentlich den Hummer probieren, haben uns dann aber ein riesiges Steak geteilt. Das Fleisch war sehr gut (und viel), das beste war aber tatsächlich die Beilage: Trüffel-Gnocchi. Zum Niederknien. Alleine für die lohnt sich der Besuch. Top Service inklusive.

Restaurant von der Lage her gut, aber leider ist die Akustik eher schlecht... soll heißen, dass man kaum sein eigenes Wort versteht, wenn der Laden voll ist bzw. Musik spielt. Das Essen (div. Burger) waren sehr gut, aber der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig. 90 Minuten für 8 Burger sind einfach zu lang... zudem sind die Preise zu hoch. Ein Negroni als Beispiel liegt bei gesalzenen 15 Euro... da stellt sich mir die Frage: wofür?

War zu einer Weihnachtsfeier von der Arbeit in der BLB mit eigenem Menü. Hat sensationell gut geschmeckt. Der Service super freundlich und aufmerksam. Fantastisch

BLB is a very beautiful locale. The staff is insanely nice but the burgers were just fine. The starters were very good and so were the fries!

The atmosphere is really nice and the staff friendly. We tried the pumpkin burger and the classic one served with half lobster. Both were tasty. We also had the salad of the year, which didn’t impress us. The prices belong to the “too expensive” range.

Stilvoll, nicht zu eng gestellt, Essen hervorragend, Service dazu passend, Preise auch, aber man kriegt man was man zahlt. Insgesamt hervorragend.

Food was bland, there was a WORM in the salad on my burger, and they didn’t even want to refund me at first (they ended up giving me 30% off…. great) and service felt very rushed. Waitress promised us a spot at the bar afterwards (there were no spots!). Not worth the money for this “high-end” restaurant.

Sehr leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente und netter Service, der einem die Tageskarte vorstellt. Was will man mehr? 😍

Wer mit der Schickeria um mittelmäßige Burger kämpfen will ist hier richtig. Um hier einen Tisch zu reservieren muss man relativ früh dran sein, vor allem fürs Wochenende. Die Location ist gemütlich eingerichtet aber extrem laut, unterhalten ist sehr schwierig. Der Service ist mehr aufs Aussehen bedacht als auf Dienstleistung, was dem gesamten Konzept entspricht. Das Essen ist lecker aber nicht hervorragend und sicher nicht den Preis wert. Das beste waren die Trüffel Pommes. Der Burger hatte mehrere Fettstücke und Knorpel, der Lobster war definitiv zu durch und trocken (50€). Der günstigste Wein ist eine Flasche Rosé, für 39€ die am Ende mit 42€ auf der Rechnung stand. Ich muss aber die Cocktails (16€) loben - das beste am ganzen Abend! Eine Flasche Wasser, 0,7l kostet 9,50€, auch das empfinde ich als definitiv zu viel. Das schlimmste aber waren tatsächlich die Toiletten. Der komplette Keller, wo sich die Klos befinden, hat gestunken wie eine Kloake. Der Boden war bedekt mit (hoffentlich) Wasser, die Toiletten selbst waren schmutzig und teilweise kaputt. Leider eine große Enttäuschung und das Geld nicht Wert.
