disappointing taste，lousy service

Way overpriced for the food quality and service. Cocktail was all ice and food portions small. Lobster was nothing to be desired. If you want a good American burger for a fair price, go to Fairfax. For good lobster at a much cheaper price, go to Maine.

Service team was very friendly and nice, however they seemed a bit chaotic with their organisation. This place obviously used to be quite a trendy and good spot, I feel it doesn't measure up to what it used to be. The food quality was average, but the ambiance was nice.

Very friendly, attentive, and warm service – top-notch. The food was overall very tasty and prepared to perfection; only the truffle fries, which I was most looking forward to, were unfortunately dry and hard. The drinks were a bit watered down. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. I find it a bit odd that they charge you for use in the restrooms – they have a train station feel anyway and are in dire need of renovation. Overall, apart from a few minor flaws, I highly recommend it.

The service was friendly and welcoming – unfortunately, that's where the positives almost end. The tables are so close together that you feel like you're sitting right next to the next table. My roast beef was inedible: full of tendons and tough as leather. Particularly shocking: mice were crawling around under the tables. The restrooms were in an unhygienic, disgusting state, despite the presence of cleaning staff. Given the prices, I expect significantly more – both in quality and cleanliness. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant.

The food at BLB is so delicious and excellent. You really have to savor it. The ambiance can offer a quiet retreat in the afternoon and transforms into a fascinating party scene on the weekends. Service is a bit slower in the evenings. Unfortunately, you often have to wait a bit for everything to arrive, but that's mainly due to the high number of visitors.

Today we were seated by Lisa and mainly attended by Laura. They were both so extremely welcoming and attentive. Despite the restaurant being very busy and noisy, they always made sure we were taken care of. This exceptional level of service is not easy to come by.

Nice spot for dinner. The private courtyard is a good place to hang out while grabbing some drinks. I tried the ribsteak and it was super tender. But honestly the best part was the appetizers. The lobster meat, beef tartar and vegetable tartar were all delicious!

The quality of the food is mediocre – the steak seems uninspired and undercooked, and the seafood tastes like frozen food. The service is inattentive and seems bored. Despite the hefty prices, the culinary experience falls far short of what you can get in many places in Munich for under €10 – especially when it comes to burgers. What's on offer here seems less geared towards gourmets and more towards social media enthusiasts looking for a photogenic spot. The majority of the clientele seems to fit that bill – young people with their parents' money who would rather post a stylish Instagram photo than show a genuine interest in good food. The bottom line: an overpriced photo spot with mediocre cuisine. Anyone who truly appreciates good food is much better off elsewhere. I visited the restaurant on Friday, June 20, 2025 and spent about €120.

Unfortunately, a completely disappointing visit. I ordered a medium-rare beef fillet, but received a steak that was cooked all the way through. My friendly reminder was met with neither a response nor a refund – instead, the waiter and head waiter arrogantly explained to me that I obviously had no idea what "medium" meant. The service was rude and condescending, with no trace of hospitality. Given the prices, I expect significantly more – both in the kitchen and in the way they interact with guests. The value for money is completely out of the question here. There are countless better restaurants in Munich with professional service and good food. The waiters would probably be better off at a rest stop. I would strongly advise the manager to select his staff more carefully if he wants to retain customers. Conclusion: never again. I do not recommend it.

The food at BLB was excellent – ​​juicy burgers, fresh ingredients, and a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, and we felt completely at home. Tip: The outdoor courtyard is especially beautiful in summer and invites you to linger. The shots like "Liquid Cocaine" and "Solero" taste great – and be surprised by the teapots, which might contain more than just tea!

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment. I waited over 30 minutes for my Pornstar Martini - and what came next was hard to believe: I was actually served a cocktail that was obviously already drunk! It was the kind I ordered, but someone had definitely drunk it before - just disgusting. After I asked the staff (two women from Kiel) about it, I got a new one relatively quickly - but it wasn't correct either. The obligatory champagne shot that normally accompanies the Pornstar Martini was missing. When I asked, I was told it was in the cocktail. That's absolutely not the point - especially not for 20 euros per glass. For this price I expect impeccable service and quality. What I got was simply cheeky. I'm definitely not coming back.

Were there on Monday. Service and food were great. We think the price-performance ratio, including the cocktails and bottled wines, is fair and good. Something was bothering me about the loud atmosphere. But many men were probably all Bauma.

Bread was not received after asking several times and the meat was nicely presented but very boring.

I had calamari frites and lobster. The calamari is soft and delicious without being bitter! It was quite a large portion, but the two of us ate it all. The lobster was also delicious with a rich sauce. The staff at the restaurant were kind and friendly, and it was a very satisfying dinner.

The service and the atmosphere were good. But the burgers were not something special to worth 30-35€ each. At night our stomachs also complaint about them. Over priced.

Good burger for special occasions. But the overall concept didn't convince me. Typically in Munich, totally overpriced for what you get. The food was good but not exceptional. The prices, on the other hand, are very hefty and, in my opinion, not appropriate.

The restaurant impresses with a beautiful ambience and friendly service. The location is an eye-catcher, and anyone who values ​​atmosphere will feel at home here. However, our culinary expectations were higher - especially considering the prices. The truffle fries for €15 (plus €6 extra for truffle mayo) sounded promising, but unfortunately they were not fresh, but rather hard and stale. They were kindly replaced with new ones, but they were only slightly better. The remaining dishes were also ok, but not convincing. Overall, a nice place for drinks or a meeting with friends, but ambitious in terms of price - especially because the quality is not convincing.

Our visit to the restaurant was a great experience. The food tasted very good and the atmosphere was also very appealing. The staff was friendly and attentive. We don't have to marry the staff, but we liked that they didn't bother us during the meal. We therefore don't understand some comments at all. On the contrary, we found it pleasant that we could eat in peace and everything went wonderfully, from ordering to service.

Food itself is good but the service ruins the experience. It takes forever for the waitress to come to you (we waited 20 minutes just to pay) and then in a foul mood. Since we found the service very bad, we didn't want to give a tip - we were then told "There's no tip included in the price". Then we were lied to that Amex was no longer a partner of the restaurant and we couldn't pay with the card, even though we called the day after and Amex confirmed to us that they still had this deal! Very disappointing! In addition, the atmosphere is not pleasant, very loud and difficult to understand the other person.

I ordered 300 grams, but only received 230 grams, and that for 55 euros. When I asked the waiter why there was no side dish at this price, apart from two leaves of lettuce, I was insulted in an unfriendly manner. Even after consulting with the boss, the service continued to be very disappointing. The prices are outrageously high for what you get. I'm used to expensive prices, but I expect quality in return. Apparently there is a new way of setting prices for water here. Especially if you order a 300 gram stake medium you first get 250 gram stake well done - and after you return it you get a raw piece of meat (see picture). I formulated the criticism clearly and concisely so that your dissatisfaction comes across more clearly.

The service was friendly. The burger was very mediocre (almost cold and raw inside). The lobster sauce was a bit bland. The cocktails nothing special. Previously stayed at the BLB in London, which is really exceptionally good, and had expected more in Munich.

I've been to BlB several times before, but I've never experienced such arrogant and rude service before! As usual, I handed over my coat when I entered the restaurant. When I wanted to have it back as I was leaving, the employee didn't want to hand me my coat - which I took out of the wardrobe and immediately recognized - with the words "No, that's a Max Mara - it can't be yours" - & pointed to an equally beige coat from Primark, which was probably mine. This was followed by several snarky comments such as “are you absolutely sure this coat is yours?” Or - no, that's not your coat - that's the one from table 2, I know that for sure!" (We had table 2 and it was undoubtedly my coat) - Only after a long discussion was I finally allowed to take my (Max Mara) coat after I said I would probably know exactly what my coat looked like and would be happy to show her various photos as well as the purchase receipt from Lodenfrey. To insinuate that someone's own coat doesn't belong to her and to refuse to hand it over, even though she took it from me with her own hands at the beginning, is really a bottomless impudence! Despite Ysl bag etc. you have to make such comments in BlB - how superficial can a restaurant be? Maybe the management should invest the income in more professional and competent staff in the future, because there seems to be a severe lack of that. As we were leaving, my friend and I noticed how the waitress in question was gossiping about us with her colleagues at the bar - you should have quoted the manager at this point, but I was just shocked at this disrespectful treatment, I have something like that never experienced before!

Nice if noisy ambience, good creative food and best service, comparatively high prices. The BLB belongs to the Jacob and therefore actually belongs to the class of “overpriced wannabe chic Micki Instagram” restaurants of Munich. However, it stands out clearly from its sister restaurant, which actually makes it highly recommendable: The ambience is really very well done, very nice atmosphere, but also very, very loud, you almost have to shout at each other at times, tables are sometimes quite close together. Fortunately, only a small part of the audience corresponds to the cliché mentioned above, a really good mix. The food, like the drinks, is good in every respect, creative, varied, tasty (i.e. all in all - I've had individual dishes that didn't suit my taste, but were still perfectly made - a matter of taste) and visually flawless. On a really good, pleasant level between regular and fine dining. The service is just right, professional but still very pleasantly relaxed. Personally, I still find the prices to be high, a bit too high for that. A burger for almost €30 without any side dishes is definitely an announcement, even for a house in this location. All in all, the BLB can definitely be recommended for a convivial evening with friends and good food. For a very quiet, romantic evening for two, perhaps just as a “preliminary step” in front of a nice bar.

Everything is more apparent than it is - or: bad food and bad service for a lot of money... Food: Pasta with lobster and asparagus (approx. €45) - the pasta was bland, the lobster was way too cooked and rubbery. The truffle fries are an absolute joke! These are just McDonald fries with grated truffles on top... We also ordered cocktails (around €20/cocktail) - in my case a Julep Royal. The price is a complete disgrace for the quality of the cocktail. I've had this cocktail several times in Munich for €15 and with a much better taste. Ambience: The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated - but there are much nicer and fancier restaurants, especially in Munich. Service: Disaster! We got a single wine list for 10 people. This was also completely mixed up, so we ordered a red wine instead of a white wine. When this came and we pointed out the error, all they said was “now the bottle is already open” - given the prices they are quoting there, you clearly expect a different answer. We were there in a larger group, at the end we asked for the cocktail menu, and we were brought a single menu for many people...unprofessional...

Shocker. Avoid! €200 for 2 mains - of tiny lobster and stale, flavourless burgers. Thinking it was the Burger & Lobster. Turns out to just be skimming the name from a great restaurant and then delivering sub par service. €4.50 for a side of bbq sauce........says it all

In 2014 I was at the BLB in Munich for the first time. Now, in 2024, it's that time again: A Friday evening, 8:45 p.m., a table for 5 friends. The mood? Exactly as I remembered it: crowded, loud, and chill at the same time. The service was great – Ajana accompanied us very personably throughout the evening. The wine bottles were large and the food was simply delicious. Since the portions aren't exactly small, we shared the beef carpaccio as a starter - just a small bite for everyone, but an absolute treat! There is a place for smokers outside in the backyard that stays dry even when it rains. And yes, the later the evening, the louder the guests? Definitely here! But that's exactly what contributes to the cool atmosphere. The prices? Not for the faint of heart, that's true. But hey, the food is really tasty and really well made, the concept still works today. Do you want delicious burgers with a twist in a cool atmosphere? Then you've come to the right place. Thanks to the entire BLB team for a great, long evening!

Went to the BLB again yesterday with friends and we were completely satisfied! The food, service and ambience were perfect.

One of the very few places to get a lobster roll in Munich, which also automatically turns into a pricey feat as considered quite a specialty. Interior inviting, there is an outdoor yard. Service was efficient and accommodating, such level attention from waiting staff can be encountered not everywhere here. Truffle fries and cheesecake were good. Lobster roll itself was a little lackluster due to abundant cocktail seasoning, so the tender lobster taste is almost fading. Apart from that all on point.

Nice rooms, beautifully set tables. We had made a reservation, but the blonde man who brought us to the table wasn't particularly friendly. Our Asian waiter, on the other hand, was very nice and helpful. Nevertheless, we were literally forced to order a bottle of water (8.50 euros). The burgers were okay, but we've had better ones. The cocktail sauce with LOBSTER tasted like preservatives. The Pinot Gris from Korrell was a delicious wine. Not bad, but we expected more.

As a long-time guest, you will be turned away at the door on the day of the DFB match when the European Championship is ongoing, explicitly because of the Germany jersey. Without words…

We were there with friends and the location is very cozy, but we were a little disappointed with the food. The food was advertised to us, but I was particularly disappointed with the truffle gnocchi. They neither looked like gnocchi nor tasted like them (looked more like Kaiserschmarren) and they didn't taste like truffles at all, unfortunately there was also no salt. The drinks are good, but my husband was very surprised by the beer glass, which looked more like a wine glass. Of course, the price is in line with Munich standards, but this is not justified for some drinks and especially if the food doesn't taste as advertised. Furthermore, I find it extremely inappropriate and above all impossible when the service staff complains about their tips and keeps asking when we will finally order. Whether we'll come back is anyone's guess, but it was actually a nice evening... until the service staff dampened the mood. All other service staff were friendly and attentive.

In one word, a legendary place! The atmosphere, the tables illuminated by candlelight, the food...all were very enjoyable. Burger&Lobster in London is also good, but the burgers at this place are by far better. Shrimps are delicious. (The two restaurants are not related to each other, but their names and menu concepts are very similar, so we compared them) Our waiter was very polite and attentive. The place is in a very central but quiet location. Even though we went without a reservation, we found a place. I would say the only drawback is that the prices are a little high. It is definitely a must-visit place in Munich.
