Buon Giorno in Hamburg

A small, unassuming pizzeria in a basement... We certainly would have walked right past it if we hadn't searched for restaurants online. The restaurant is small, and the tables are very close together, which detracts from the ambiance. But the food is great. We had pizza. It was delicious 😋 good, thin crust, tasty sauce. Prices are perfectly reasonable. The portions are huge.

A good Italian restaurant in itself. Unfortunately, the service staff were rather inattentive, at least during our visit. The pizza was well made, but lacked flavor.

We weren't impressed by the food, although the price/performance ratio was okay. Service was friendly and quick.

An Alpine Club on tour in Hamburg is quite something. Finding a cozy place to stop off from the hustle and bustle with 14 people is a challenge, and then finding the "Buon Giorno" is like finding a four-leaf clover; just go, enjoy, and stop the world for a moment! DAV MSP

A cozy little restaurant with a warm atmosphere. A warm welcome awaits, even late at night. The pizzas are huge and very good, but the toppings are a bit thin. Good value for money.

As a family of three with a young daughter, we really, really enjoyed it! The pizza was huge, easily over 30 cm in diameter, high-quality and not too sparingly topping, with a traditional thin crust. Pasta was cooked to perfection and served with plenty of Parmesan in a separate bowl. The prices for the excellent coffee were fair, which is especially true for the prices at this location. The service was always courteous and quick, too. An overall wonderful experience on Father's Day, and a big thank you to the entire team! We even briefly met a nice couple from Baden-Württemberg who were sitting at the next table and had just returned from a cruise. You only experience that in such quaint restaurants! We'd love to come back here again.

Friendly and cheerful staff. The food came very quickly. Both the pizza and the lasagna were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. At the end, we were given a shot of limoncello on the house. We'd be happy to go again.

Simply fantastic! Four of us, plus our baby, got a table right away. The servers were super attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly and we were equally delighted. Both the pizzas and the pasta were delicious.

I can say that the dish was quite tasty, but the bread was a bit stale. The presentation of the dish looks good. The service is not bad, the waiter was polite. We were on the summer terrace, a bit uncomfortable. The price corresponds to the quality! Overall, I liked it!

Rude staff. I waited at the entrance with a 1 year old in my arms for a table and was ignored by staff. 3 women came in after me and stood behind me. Staff skipped us and they spoke to the women instead and immediately attended to them (gave them a table for 3). Only after this interaction did they speak to me and tell me they had no tables (for 3!!). Very child unfriendly. Left a young family ignored and had to go on the hunt for a different restaurant. I would avoid!

A real hit! Pizzeria Buon Giorno impresses with a harmonious overall package. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The interior is quaint and cozy, just right for a relaxed evening with good food. The pizzas are large, perfectly topped, and tasted excellent – ​​crispy bases, fresh ingredients, simply delicious! The prices are also pleasingly fair, especially considering the quality and portion size. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back. A clear recommendation for all pizza lovers!

The service was extremely friendly, attentive and competent - you felt welcome from the first moment. The ambience is very pleasant and stylish, just right for a relaxed evening. From a culinary point of view, it was a real highlight: the Vitello Tonnato as a starter was perfectly seasoned and wonderfully tender. The pizzas - one with spicy spinata and one with Parma ham and fresh rocket - tasted excellent, with a crispy base and high-quality ingredients. We will definitely come back – absolute recommendation!

I ordered lasagne and it was very disgusting. There was no Speck of méat. I complained they did nothing. Never again. After 2 spoons, i could Not eat anymore. The answer of the owner is wrong.

Place is small but cozy. It is possible that you cant find a place inside. But note that if you seat outside you probably will have to wait like 20 30 minutes before your order taken and even finding someone to ask for the bill. Because that was our experience with many other people. After 30 minutes of no one checking on us I and the others who sat outside went in and pay the bill. Outside tables are full and yet no one came to check on us thats insane. Service is npt over when you give the food guys. If you are understaffed hire more people. Honestly the food was amazing but the experience not so much.

Nice little restaurant at St. Michaelis Church. Very good food at reasonable prices. Pizza very big and tasty. The service was very friendly and the limoncello on the house was also very good. Even though the restaurant is full, the waiting time is short! Highly recommended!!

The best pizzeria we've been to in a long time! Makes the last day of vacation perfect. I don't normally write reviews but here it was so warm and, above all, delicious... it just has to be rated. The ambience is great, the service is top notch in every way and the food is great in terms of taste and quality + just great in terms of price. There was also some schnapps to digest. When we are in Hamburg again we will always go here. THANKS!

We were satisfied. Not far from the Landungsbrücken you can reach this Italian restaurant with the S1. There were 4 of us and we paid 60 including drinks. For HH standards I think it's really great. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. But the people of Hamburg generally seem to be very friendly.

First of all, they accepted payment by visa card. Earlier, we had to cancel our food order at the New Smash burger restaurant close by because they only accepted cash!. We sat downstairs in a cosy corner of the restaurant with just a few other office workers having lunch. I had the spaghetti bolognese, which was plentiful and delicious, while my wife and kids chose pizza. The pizzas were thin-crust, tasty, and very filling. For 61 euros, we had 4 main courses and drinks. That's good value in Hamburg. The service was low-key and friendly. It was also nice that our waiter was Portuguese, so we could communicate in Spanish as well as English. Recommended!

So if you love Italian food, you shouldn't come over and let it be destroyed - the carpaccio tastes very watery and has a very strange taste. Unfortunately the pasta sauces are just as watery... PESTO?! Here you are far from good and bad... The staff is nice but that's it, you can't give a good rating for the food and that's why I don't understand the good reviews at all! Ambience very dark and outdated!

Super delicious pizza, super friendly staff! You go right next to the S-Bahn station down into a basement where you feel like you're in Italy. The staff welcomes you very friendly with delicious bread as a starter and also prepares the rather large main course very quickly. At the end, in addition to the classical Italian music that you listen to during your meal, there is also a delicious nightcap that you can choose for yourself. Not only is a small shot glass placed on the table, but also 3 bottles of the best liqueurs in the house and all free of charge! Neither the bread at the beginning nor the schnapps at the end cost anything. If I lived in Hamburg, it would be my number 1 Italian.

Ordentlicher Teig bei Pizzen, gut gebacken, das ist die Hauptsache.Leider bei der Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten für 15 Euro ein sehr, sehr sparsamer Belag aus günstigen Zutaten.. Das mindert den guten Eindruckk sehr. Andererseits mag ich keine Pizzen, die in der Mitte eine Matsche aus Tomaten und Käse aufweisen sie müssen knusprig bleiben.

Restaurant just outside the metro stop. A very cute, romantic place. We chose to eat lasagna and pizza, both were very good. The bread brought before the meal is incredibly soft. :) I recommend it.

Small cozy restaurant and very good food. Service is great and the prices are really okay. The restaurant was still empty at 4 p.m., but later full. You should reserve a table. We'll definitely come back.

A friendly little basement pizza place practically in the heart of the city. Pizza rolls and aioli greeted us. The pizzas are large and, unlike a franchise pizzeria near the State Opera, well-topped. The pasta is very tasty. Unbeatable value for money. The genuine hospitality you experience here is priceless.

Went there with a group and called shortly beforehand. Really great restaurant. You wouldn't suspect it at first. The pizza was really awesome and at the end there was also grappa, sambucca or limoncello on the house. Top!

The pizza was served after 15 minutes. The staff is very attentive. We had made a reservation online on the same day, but there was no confirmation of our table reservation. The good thing was that you could definitely find 2 seats within a short wait. It is still possible on Mondays or at the beginning of the week. I ordered a pizza with funghi and schinlen. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't that special. And it was difficult to cut them with a knife. She just wasn't quite through it. That's why I don't rate it 5 stars. I couldn't eat them whole.
