My girlfriend ate a tofu bowl today. During the meal we wondered why the lettuce leaves had black pieces on them (we thought the lettuce had simply not been washed). She had the bowl packed up and later, when we wanted to continue eating, we realized that there was an almost smoked cigarette in the bowl (this explains the black tobacco residue on the salad). I am very shocked and hope that my girlfriend does not suffer any damage to her health...!!! We also paid an incorrect invoice, whereby we paid €10 more…

Cool concept. Chilled atmosphere very crowded so a bit loud

Became aware of the store via social media and tried it out today. Service was very friendly, the restaurant was well maintained, there were enough seats inside and outside. As soon as we sat down, the condition came and asked whether we would like to give normal cards to order or whether we would like to look at the menu using the QR code that is on every table. We took the normal cards, but also tried the QR code, it works perfectly. The food came quickly and was very good. The buns are awesome, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sauce, great meat and bread first. The bread takes a burger to another level. The only shame was that the fries were unfortunately run-of-the-mill fries that were unfortunately too salty and had been in the deep fryer for a bit too long. If you switch to homemade or other, higher quality and thicker fries then it's perfect. The price would be a little over €37 for 2 people including a drink each. So there's nothing to complain about there either. All in all, recommended and we will definitely come back.

I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant... unfortunately I was disappointed. The food didn't taste delicious (more meat than anything else) & the staff seemed very uncoordinated. The idea of ​​this restaurant is very cool but lacks execution. It wasn't worth the money.

Unfriendly staff, you can't change your seat and sit outside even though there is free space, just because they are too lazy to correct it in the cash register. Long waiting times... the food was ok. But never again...

The food was really tasty and something new. I had the Korean Chicken Bun and also tried the Crispy Chicken Bun. Both were very good, but I would recommend the second one more because it wasn't as dry. Basically good food, would go again, you just need to work on making the bread juicier. Was served the wrong drink and the seats outside are a bit uncomfortable because they are on such an open street. Partitions might be an idea. Otherwise cool!

Was there with a group of 4 people. The food is ok, but not worth the price - unfortunately. You pay €1.50 extra for a bit of dip, which is new to me. The bread was totally oily and the fries were probably frozen. The waitress lady seemed like she wasn't interested in her job at all and you could tell :/

**Review for Buns** I was really looking forward to Buns because I had only heard good things. Unfortunately the food was a bitter disappointment. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Bun but the breading was very disappointing. There was too much of it and it was lumpy and rubbery at times. I didn't like the bread either; the texture and taste were strange, it was dry and not at all comparable to the bread from similar places. What I also can't understand is why, for a menu that already costs around €13, they charge an additional €1 for ketchup and €1 for mayo. Such additional costs for standard dips like mayo and ketchup lead to a poor customer experience because it gives the impression that everyone is trying to get a little more from the customer. This can be perceived as rude and customer-unfriendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a terrace. However, the friendliness of the staff was not always present; There were very friendly staff and also very grumpy ones. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my meal due to the points mentioned. Very disappointing.

The Buns is definitely worth a visit and is one of the top 3 in Hamburg. The burger buns are delicious and beautifully prepared. The staff is very friendly and it is no problem to eat vegan there. Thank you for the wonderful taste experience.

In the online menu, the last bun was recognized as completely allergy-friendly because the allergens were not marked here. Fries too. Unfortunately, the only gluten-free thing here is the salad. Thought the veggie bun was gluten free and dairy free. I was told, “You can imagine that a burger joint has gluten”. Questions were answered but you could tell they were annoyed.

Wonderful street food-like restaurant with fast and friendly service. Not the biggest menu, but nonetheless tasty, and the drinks card makes up for it. The portions are quite big, but they provide takeout boxes to take the rest home with you.

In terms of taste, Bun's is absolutely convincing. A burger with toasted brioche slices instead of a normal bun doesn't sound that special at first, but the result is really good. I had the Korean chicken burger with fries. The French fries were okay, but the burger completely convinced me. The taste is really well balanced and - although the portion is very generous - filling without being too stuffy; This meal tasted good to me and also made me feel “healthy”. There are a lot of service staff on the area, who are also friendly - although, which is probably due to the large number of visitors, they occasionally overlook one or two tables. The location, right on the shoulder blade, is well located, but rather functionally equipped; Which, considering the price/performance ratio, is clear. Overall, I will come back.

Even though the place was full, the staff did a great job, so the wait for placing an order or for the food itself was not long. Portion? Huge, inedible for me. The food was great, but the service was sometimes very unfriendly and we were approached twice (while eating!) by homeless people who wanted to sell us newspapers... That was really unpleasant, I'll be happy to come back if that doesn't happen anymore :)!

Dinner at Buns was really a culinary highlight! The selected cheeseburger with sweet potatoes tasted excellent. Sounds relatively unspectacular, but it wasn't, as the fresh patty was prepared to perfection and a brioche bread was used instead of a usual bun and the sauces were very tasty. The dessert was an eye-catcher at the end. This was served in a brown ceramic pot along with small spades as spoons. It was a cheesecake frosting with a layer of Oreo crumbs as a crust. This presentation was not only original but also delicious. Overall, an experience that you should definitely try! You're also happy to wait a little while for one of the coveted seats.

Unfortunately, the visit here was a real disappointment! Waited 1 hour. We asked twice when our order would arrive. When we repeatedly asked about the order, the only weak excuse was that the kitchen was understaffed. Strangely enough, guests who even arrived after us got their food earlier. We finally left after an hour. The only positive thing is that we didn't have to pay for our drinks. Try it yourself, but in my opinion you've reached the bottom here.

I'm usually a huge burger fan, but this version with the brioche toast seriously blew me away. Maybe even the best veggie burger I've ever eaten. The fries were also extremely tasty and more than just a standard side dish. I can and will recommend the store to everyone for their next HH trip!

As hyped as the store is, it also manages to impress. You won't find world-class burgers here, but you will find delicious burger creations in a toasted bun. These are always served with fries and cost around €12.50, which will definitely fill you up! The service is fast, friendly and the store is nicely located.

Hip spot in Hamburg. This is the better traditional food, a delicious filling of your choice is sandwiched between toasted bread that is wonderfully crunchy and remains until the last bite. Served with crispy fries with a generous portion of sauce. SO GOOD! The Sbahn bus stops right in front of the business. Definitely give it a try! Oh yes, the staff is also super friendly, I will come back.

Today we decided to try the hyped place Bun’s and I have to say the food is absolutely amazing. The Korean chicken sauce has the perfect amount of spice, the chicken salad bowl is awesome and the clear chicken bun could not be made better. The only downside is that both the women’s and men’s toilets let’s called it had quite large deposits visible and smeared from previous visitors.

It was very tasty here. Can only be recommended. Gladly again at any time.

If you ignore the terrible patio furniture it's not bad at all. I would have liked the service staff to be a little more attentive...but everyone was nice. The food was surprisingly good. The bread was very good. The filling is a bit too spicy 🥵. A truffle mayonnaise 😋👍 and the lemonade are my favorites!

Service is zero that’s how we starting! My order took like 40 mins but 10 mins of that the food was ready and just needed to get picked by the waitress!!! Finally she decided that this guy needs to eat she brought the food which was cold and oily. And then she decided that oh he needs napkins so 5 mins later she brings 2 napkins i mean with this mountain of napkins in the toilet i wished you can get me more napkins to sweep the oil out of the food!!!! Nevermind lets go wash our hands when its normal day and just 1800 not even night or peak hour and there is this mountain of dirt in front of me. My order was 13,80 and 5.80 for the drink so she decided that its 22 and i give 50 she gives 25 like also automatically she takes tip.

You can't complain about the first bite of the burger, which they call a "bun" here. Instead of ketchup, there is Asian sauce and a little fairy dust to somehow stand out from the other run-of-the-mill burger shops. Basically, it's a similar structure to what you're already familiar with: two thick halves of toast, a lettuce leaf, a burger patty, optional cheese and the delicious homemade sauce. The service is super friendly, the atmosphere is right in the middle, but also close to a busy intersection. And the food? Solid and absolutely okay for the price. Foodies will have to look elsewhere as the range of drinks on offer is quite limited. Although the queue is usually relatively long, you won't be checked in. You have to give the restaurant operator credit for ensuring that every guest is treated with respect.

We went there on a weekend around 11am. The place was a bit crowded, but we still got a place to sit on the little terrasse. Know, that you have to scan the qr code on your table to get access to the virtual menu, we spent 20 minutes waiting for a waiter because no one told us … After picking our choice, we probably waited another 15 minutes until we received the food. It was literally delicious, and the the price of 11€ you get a big bun and even fries included. The first bites were perfect, but the meal is quite big, so at the end it was too much for a simple brunch and we decided to ask if there was a takeaway option for the rest. The staff kindly gave us cardboard boxes so we could take the remaining of the dish with us.

The buns taste very good, there is a large selection and so far the food has always been fresh. However, I recommend going if you are very hungry because the food is very filling. So far we have always been able to get places. However, you may have to queue. The operators are also very nice and accommodating. I can also recommend the buns with kofta. The main courses are also accompanied by very creatively prepared desserts, which I can also recommend for their taste.

Date of Visit: 29 June 2024 Went without a booking so we had to wait in a small queue, however, we were seated pretty quickly considering it was a Saturday evening and there was a match on that day too. Friendly service and amazing food. Would highly recommend the Korean Chicken as well as the BBQ Bun. Lovely atmosphere and would certainly come back!

A slightly different shop that invites you to linger with its relaxed atmosphere inside and outside at the beer tent sets. We were actually lucky and didn't have to wait long to get a seat. We were able to sit at the table with others. However, there was a long queue after us. It's best to make a reservation or be prepared to join others at the table. We once ordered the Burrata Bowl with additional fries and a truffle dip (€2). The bowl was very tasty and also a good portion. Definitely a recommendation here. We also ordered the Halloumi Bun. The bread wasn't quite to my liking, but the sauce and the rest were delicious. The fries seemed to have a somewhat "rubbery" consistency, which wasn't quite to our taste. The service was very friendly and the food and drinks came relatively quickly. However, this depends on how busy the store is.

Really yummy food. Atmosphere is busy, loud, but also warm and cozy. Overall would recommend but know that it all takes time! It's called street food so you would think it'd be quick, but there is often a line to enter/be seated and then quite a wait before you can order and be served.

Fuimos al lugar por su apariencia. El sitio es amplio tanto por dentro como por fuera, un sitio aparente y con una buena carta, no muy extensa pero justa. El sitio es muy frecuentado por la gente. Cuando llegamos tardaron en sentarnos por una de las camareras, que nos asistió nerviosa. Al principio podíamos pensar que era por estar tan lleno de clientes, pero una vez estábamos sentados nos sirvió la misma camarera las cartas y tardaron un buen rato en tomarnos la comanda una vez la teníamos elegida de antemano. Una vez más fue la misma camarera la que nos atendió. Teniendo en cuenta que hablábamos en inglés y que nos habían dado la carta en alemán, era de esperar que se nos planteasen dudas aunque ya tuviésemos los platos elegidos. Aun así, la camarera nos atendió de nuevo, esta vez con mala cara y con tono despectivo, haciendo ademanes con las manos. Quitando este trato, por el resto bien. Incluso cuando nos atendía algún otro camarero para pedirle alguna bebida más el trato se notaba considerablemente. Una pena que una persona con poco aguante chafe un buen sitio.

We were lucky and got a seat in the restaurant straight away. Others after us weren't so lucky and had to wait a long time for a place. The service was very friendly and we received our drinks and food quite quickly. We had 1x cheeseburger with fried egg and 1x crispy chicken burger including fries and Hong mustard sauce as a side dish. The burgers were really really tasty. The bread on the outside was just right, the meat was tender and juicy and the fries were super crispy. The portions are quite large and you have to fight.

The food was very tasty and came relatively quickly, but unfortunately it took forever until someone came to order, even though there were several waiters on site. Service seemed very disorganized as if she was only taking an order for the second time in her life. In between, no one even asked if everything was okay or if there was anything else that could be done. You felt rather ignored. When we finally got hold of someone to let us know that we wanted to pay, we sat at the table for a good 20 minutes until the waitress suddenly came to us and asked if we had already paid. Then they said that we should please come in to pay. It's really a shame that a shop with such delicious food is so disorganized.

Cool street food concept with simple menu to choose from as well as good service. We ordered the crispy chicken bun we well as the Korean one. Both were very good but we liked the crispy chicken more. What didn’t impress us that much was the ice tea as well as the fries which were a bit soggy. The prices are also high if compared to portion sizes. Overall it’s a breath of fresh air and therefore a recommendation from me.

Long waiting times! The food was good… but really nothing special for the waiting time. Because what bothered me was the really long wait to even be able to order something to drink. It was an experience worth it, but the service is very stressed due to the large crowds. You should definitely bring your time!

When we simply asked what sauces were available, we were told that we could check for ourselves on your website. This forced us to take out our phones and check instead of the waitress simply telling us the 4-6 varieties. When we asked which dishes she could recommend, we only received a brief “Everything is good”. During the entire service, no eye contact was made or a smile was shown. As a recommendation, I would like to recommend that service is an essential part of a successful restaurant visit. If the store owner doesn't pay attention to such basic aspects, it might be better to focus on a delivery service where direct customer contact is less important. As already mentioned, great praise goes to the kitchen and the design of the restaurant. It would be a shame if these positive aspects were overshadowed by poor service. We had the Ceaser Chicken Bun twice. The food is very tasty and fills you up, but the politeness of the service leaves a lot to be desired.
