Bun Pho - Vietnamese Cuisine in Köln

I didn't arrive until quarter past 9 and was still allowed to order. The pho came after 5 minutes and was outstanding. I'd love to come back :)

It was my first time there and I was really impressed. The employees are super friendly! nice atmosphere, clean and above all very tasty :)

Possibly one of the best Pho places I’ve eaten in Germany. Slow-cooked broth, plus tender beef, and the right herbs.

Good shop. Delicious fresh Vietnamese food. But nothing more. There are so many good Vietnamese restaurants in Cologne, this one didn't stand out.

I had the summer roll with chicken and the Pho Ga. Both tasted good, but the Pho Ga would have been a little more seasoned for me. Otherwise it was delicious. The summer roll was delicious with crunchy vegetables, a little chicken and noodles. The Saigon Curry was delicious

The vegan pho was delicious. However, the broth could have been a little stronger in taste.🍜 There was a lot of stuffing consisting of tofu, fresh mushrooms, broccoli and beans. Various sauces as well as fresh herbs and sprouts are served, which can be used to complement the soups themselves. The noodles were a bit too soft for both of us. The service was friendly and accommodating. The order came in less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately, after the visit, all of my clothes smelled of fried food, although it wasn't particularly noticeable on site. It is a relatively simply furnished restaurant. The proximity to Neumarkt and the city center suggests higher prices and poorer quality. But that's not true here. I'd love to come back!

Excellent restaurant with original Vietnamese taste. Chicken vermicelli salad and Vermicelli mixed with duck with tamarind sauce were delicious, but Hoi An chicken rice was outstanding. Worth going

Bun bo Hue is good while the fried chicken rice is just so so. Both dishes are quite salty tho, as expected from food in Germany as it’s usually on the saltier side

Just got to Cologne from Düsseldorf and was looking for something warm and tasty. We opted for pho and stumbled upon this lovely place. We all ordered pho - chicken and beef - and were not disappointed. Both were delicious and fresh and what we expected (as seasoned pho eaters). We also started with the papaya salad which was equally as tasty. The atmosphere is fine and clean - nothing fancy but it doesn’t need to be when food is good!

Wonderful soup and very nice staff.

I did think there was too much coriander in my Pho, but that's ultimately a matter of taste. In any case, my wife's pasta was excellent. The service was friendly and the price was very reasonable. Simple restaurant, more of a snack bar than a restaurant. Gladly again.

While the Phở bò and the Miến Gà was underwelming, Bún bò huế and Cơm gà xối mỡ alone was worth the five stars from me. One of the best I've tasted outside Vietnam. The price was super affordable and the portion was good.

Lived in Vietnam for two years before and this is by far the closest thing i could find for Bun Bo Hue and Com Thit Nuong Cha La Lot. So happy to actually find them here in Germany.

Tasty and rich dishes. Food has original Vietnamese taste. We tried Bun bo Hue and Com ga Hoi An. They have fast service, even though there was crowded but we didn’t need to wait for long.

So; Firstly, the waitress barely understood German, English as well, you had to speak with your hands, secondly, I ordered a normal coffee but got a strong mocha, my wife ordered a carbonated mineral water, but only still water was served. We ordered 2 sesame balls (€5.50) but they weren't served to us with our meal. When we left we had to point out that we hadn't been served the balls. The total price of the food was by no means fair to the food. That's why only 2 ⭐.

The bun bo hue was good, the pho was subpar. The Vietnamese coffee was good and hit the spot on a chilly day. The service was very helpful to transfer to an inside table when a hard rain suddenly began

Simple bistro with some kitschy Vietnamese decor. The table had a small vase with 2 small chrysanthemum flowers. The service was friendly and came quickly, as did the food. The portions were small, the price was ok. We ate 2 spring rolls, 2 summer rolls, 6 bò nướng lá lốt and green papaya salad. We ordered the rolls in the meat and shrimp variation. They were also available vegan. Both spring and summer rolls were ok, but the diluted fish sauce for the spring rolls was unfortunately a bit too weak for my taste. The hoysin peanut sauce for the summer rolls had a slightly sour note and was therefore quite sophisticated and good. Bò lá lốt was good. The papaya salad was again seasoned with diluted fish sauce, unfortunately due to the water in the papaya it was even thinner than the sauce for dipping the spring rolls. I would have liked an original sauce made from soy sauce, hoysin sauce and rice vinegar. Either beef jerky or at least pork belly and shrimp would be nice. Overall, a bit lacking in taste and in need of improvement. To drink we ordered cà phê sữa đá for €5 each, but were disappointed by instant coffee from the bag (this was confirmed by the waitress), probably the TGT brand. 5€ for such a coffee is completely overpriced. I saw the coffee I wanted/ordered from older reviews with the original “cái nồi ngồi trên cái cốc”. Total cost €32

Delicious food for a fair Price

Expensive? No. Good quality? Also No. They sliced one shrimp into many small thin pieces to put in the spring roll. So in total it must have been only 1 small shrimp in 2 spring rolls. It didn't taste like there was meat inside. Same with the Bun Mang Vit they must have had a special machine to slice the meat that thin, the total amount of meat was disappointing.

Food is good. Would comeback if I want to eat pho. Female server need to smile a bit. I was a bit off when they ask extra 1 euro for ice on the Vietnamese drip coffee.

Very tasty Pho Bo with lots of fresh herbs, just like you eat in the south of Vietnam and you can't find it everywhere in Germany. Unfortunately there is no Kölsch on tap. Ambience is really very simple but I go here for the food!

I can only agree with the positive reviews! The atmosphere is simple, but I like it! We were greeted warmly and served immediately. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The drinks were great too!! I had also ordered two sesame balls and thought they had been forgotten. However, we got them when we were eating our soup. Super attentive!! Can I definitely recommend!

Lovely Vietnamese 🇻🇳restaurant. Ordered my usual vegan Vietnamese Pho. Simple and tasty. Filling aswell and value for money. Came with the standard compliments like chilly in oil and garlic pickles. The bean sprouts and mint leaves were a surprising and welcoming addition. While paying discovered card payment requires a minimum bill of €15. So I asked them to add a euro over the 12 for which they kindly obliged. Overall a good restaurant and value for money. Good service and great seating area inside.

If I could I would rate it 10/5. It is great.

I found the fried rice paper rolls to be quite dark, but the fish dip was ok. I found the La Lot rolls to be quite hard and unconvincing in terms of taste. Rice noodles, salad and sauce were ok. The price was actually quite reasonable for the central location, but I personally found it too expensive for what was on offer. Good service, relaxed atmosphere, ambience rather simple.

No Juppi or Inn restaurant! Very down to earth, nice and clean. You should appreciate Asian cuisine when you go to the restaurant. Extremely inexpensive! In my opinion, very authentic, both in terms of the restaurant and the cuisine, just like in Vietnam around the corner! Highly recommended for people with a preference for real Asian food.

Very lovely little Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of the city. The service is very friendly, quick and helpful. We are group of three and went dinner on a Saturday night and could easily get a table. We had grilled chicked, curry and and a chicken pho. The food was excellent, fresh and well seasoned. We went to the counter for paying and could easily pay via paypal as well. It was a great dinner experience and I would recommend this Vietnamese restaurant without hesitation.

Für mich gibt's hier das beste Thaicurry überhaupt. Die Bedienung ist immer flott und super freundlich. Auf Allergikerbedürfnisse wird immer geachtet. Ich empfehle dazu die Limettenlimo. Herrlich! Ein Paar Schönheitsreparaturen würden dem Ladenlokal nicht schaden. Nichtsdestotrotz komme ich, wenn ich in der Gegend bin, sehr gerne her.

Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht. Der Burger war saftig und warm und super lecker.

Sehr netter service. Wir wurden schnell bedient und mussten nicht lange auf das essen warten. Das essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt genau so wie der eistee. Die Portionen waren meiner Meinung nach preislich gerechtfertigt. Wobei die vorspeisen ein wenig klein ausfielen vom Gefühl. Dennoch kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen

Ich war bereits zum zweiten Mal hier essen und war wieder positiv überrascht! Das Essen schmeckt super! Die Portionen sind sehr groß. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist mehr als korrekt. Definitiv eine Empfehlung wert, wenn man zentral ein nettes Restaurant sucht.

ich liebe die Pho´s hier - am allerbesten schmeckt mir die Suppe mit den Betelblättern (mit Hack gefüllte Pfefferblätter). Aber auch die Sommerrollen und die kleinen Salate sind unglaublich lecker. Es gibt einen Mittagstisch, da kostet die "Pho des Tages" unschlagbare EUR 10,00 und auch der Salat mit EUR 4,50 ist günstig. Der Service ist sehr sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und fix dabei. Einzig das Ambiente ist nicht sooooo schön, ein Date würde ich hier definitiv nicht empfehlen. Alles in Allem eine super Option direkt am Neumarkt

Sehr leckere vietnamesische Küche mit fairer Preisen, hier kann man auch sehr gut Ente essen, ist ja in manchen Restaurants sehr zäh und trocken. Zutaten schmecken sehr frisch und auch die hausgemachten Getränke sind erfrischend. Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem, klar zu empfehlen.

Ich musste auf die Toilette und wurde nicht zur Toilette gelassen. Hätte sogar Geld bezahlt. Richtig schön, dass man nicht mal aufs Klo gelassen wird obwohl es ein Notfall war. Werde ich nie verstehen, wie man Menschen eine Notdurft verwehren kann. Ich hoffe Ihnen passiert mal das Gleiche.

소고기 쌀국수 중에 고기 좀 덜 익힌 메뉴가 있는데, 진심 인생 쌀국수였어요.. 다들 돈 조금 더 내고 그걸로 드세요. 고기가 부들부들 넘 맛있어요🥹 그리고 저 애피타이저로 먹은 것도 맛있었어요!

Ich habe hier gebratenen Reis mit Hühnchen gegessen. An sich war alles gut, das Essen hat geschmeckt, das limettengras Getränk hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Essen war gut, aber nicht sehr gut. Es haben bisschen Gewürze gefehlt und hat lau geschmeckt, sodass ich viel Siracha-Soße nehmen musste da auch die selfmade Saucen nicht soo gut bzw. Sehr speziell geschmeckt haben. Aber da ist ja jeder Geschmack. Der Service war sehr freundlich und gut, teilweise bisschen unaufmerksam aber ich kam zu einer relativ leeren Zeit wo man sich auch mal bevor wieder größerer Ansturm kommt ausruhen kann. Zusammenfassend war alles gut, aber nicht sehr gut. Wenn man aber eine gute Mahlzeit mit netter Bedingung für zwischen durch sucht ist man hier genau richtig. Deshalb 4 Sterne.

Pho was so bland.......It literally had no flavour. We got like boiled water instead of Pho.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Preise sind angemessen, Essen war sehr lecker und viele der Gerichte können auch als vegetarische Option bestellt werden. Sehr freundlich und nettes Ambiente.

Die Suppe ist der Hammer dort, doch haben sie die Preise so heftig angezogen für meinen Geschmack. Wenn es wieder günstiger wird, sehr gerne wieder.
