Buffet-Restaurant Humboldt’s in Berlin

I ate here for lunch and immediately regretted it. The food must be taken from the buffet and then placed on the plate and depending on the size of the plate the price is 6 euros or 11.50. I got some sort of pasta with pesto and various side dishes to fill the plate but the food was inedible, it made me sick and I couldn't finish it all.

ho mangiato qui per pranzo e me ne pentito immediatamente. Il cibo va preso a buffet e poi messo nel piatto e a seconda della dimensione dello stesso il prezzo è di 6 euro o 11.50. Ho preso una sorta di pasta al pesto e vari contorni per riempire il piatto ma il cibo era immangiabile, mi ha nauseato e non sono riuscito a finire tutto.

Un autoservicio clásico en un edificio muy bonito y bien restaurado. Oferta más que suficiente para tonar algo y seguir paseando por la zona.

Food was really okay. Service also friendly.

Went here for a spontaneous dinner, were served very friendly with a Berlin snout, great! The food was from the buffet. The starters were fresh and filling, as were the desserts. Both very tasty! The hot buffet had a limited selection and the food was a bit bland. All in all, a great price-performance ratio and something for everyone. We would go again.

Brunch Sonntag Wir waren am Sonntag zum Brunch im Park Inn. Auf der Website steht etwas von schärfsten Brunch in Berlin, warum wurde nicht klar. Auf der Website stand auch etwas von Musik, diese war auch nicht da. Da sollte man sie Website ändern oder die Gäste informieren. Aufgemacht wurde genau um 12 Uhr, drei Minuten vorher wäre auch schön gewesen, ist aber Geschmackssache. Der im Preis enthalte Prosecco war leider schal, denn erst stand schon eine Weile bis wir ihn bekamen. Kaffee war auch im Preis inbegriffen, aber den mussten wir uns selbst holen, ebenso wie die Tassen. Die anderen Getränke mussten gekauft werden. Die Preise waren angemessen und nicht überteuert. Der Service hat Luft nach oben, zu oft mussten wir sagen, dass wir noch was möchten. Das Essen war ausnehmend gut und die Käseplatte herausragend. Durch den Service hatte ich nicht den Eindruck, in einem 4. Sterne Hotel zu sein, was das gute Essen leider relativiert. Ich würde daher beim nächsten Brunch nicht mehr ins Park Inn gehen.

Buffet brunch domenicale molto soddisfacente. Grande scelta per antipasti e dolci - a occhio non meno di 20 opzioni - un po' meno per primi e secondi, comunque numerosi e di buona, a volte ottima, qualità. Servizio attento e veloce: bicchieri sempre pieni e piatti cambiati appena vuoti. Bonus: la musica dal vivo, la fontana di cioccolato, e il conto, onestamente imbattibile: 26 €. Malus: i tavoli della stube all'interno della sala sono un po' piccoli.

An Neujahr in einer fremden Stadt in einem Restaurant zum Brunch, das man bislang noch nicht kannte, sorgt für eine gewisse Spannung. Was wir hier erleben durften, war sensationell gut, liebevoll zubereitet, von ausgezeichnetem Service begleitet und hatte ein erstklassiges Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Es war sicher nicht der letzte schärfte Brunch in der Hauptstadt. Eine große Auswahl an Meeresfrüchten, ein Vielerlei an Fleisch und Fisch und wirklich richtig scharfe Saucen sorgen für ein wunderbares Erlebnis. Dazu Live-Musik, eine gute Auswahl an offenen Weinen und ein einfallsreiches Dessertbuffet rundeten diesen Mittag ab. Klasse!

The Alexanderplatz area has a wide variety of dining locations including many restaurant chains familiar to Americans and Canadians. There are plenty of stores where you can buy food which can be eaten at your hotel or at a park bench. If you want some German cuisine, the breakfast buffet at Humboldt-Restaurant is hard to top. The cost is a bit pricey but the food and service is great.

Abbiamo cenato venerdi sera. Bel locale con cameriera gentile. Prezzo ottimo 20 euro più bevande e caffè ma poca scelta di antipasti, secondi e dolci. Quindi un ristorante a poco prezzo ma con poca varietà.

So I am currently staying at the Park Inn Hotel and I just had the worst guest treatment ever. I have stayed in Radisson group hotels before and always had a good time, but at the Park Inn I was mistreated and humiliated at their restaurant. Today I went for lunch at their buffet restaurant (2nd floor) as usual and it was quite busy, there was no one at the restaurant reception and no signs saying that the restaurant was fully booked. A lot of people were coming in and serving themselves, including me. When I was trying to find a table with my plate, one of the waitresses rudely approached me saying that I shouldn't be there because the restaurant was fully booked and "tourists" were not allowed because it was Sunday brunch, she basically told me I shouldn't eat there and I am not welcome, she said those things in the middle of the restaurant with everybody watching, then she left me speaking to myself. When I approached some of her colleagues to explain the situation, they didn't understand anything and said that the restaurant was not fully booked but "I had to pay if I wanted to eat there" like I was trying to eat for free????. I said "of course", but then she said came back and started being rude again, so I just gave them my plate and left because I am not paying a 4-star hotel to be mistreated and humiliated. Also, the internet is not working in my room (it works fine in the lobby), and the gym equipments (treadmill and cycling machine) are not working. Park Inn is not worth the money, worst hotel experience ever.

A large restaurant but somehow still cozy. We only had one evening meal here but it was a very good one. Dozens of choices for starters, including soup, cold meats, salads etc. Several choices for main courses, all of which were good - and hot. The food was constantly changed and plates cleared away efficiently by helpful, friendly staff. All spoke good English despite my attempts to speak German! There were several choices for dessert as well as a separate cheese and fresh fruit area table Breakfast was a similar affair with lots of choices of cereals, fruit, yoghurts; cold meats and cheeses and several hot dishes. Several types of bread and rolls, croissant, Danish pastries etc. were also available. Again the staff were attentive and cleared away dirty crockery quickly.

Humboldts is a restaurant in the Park Inn. It does Sunday Brunch and a daily buffet dinner for €20 per head as well as being one of the two places were you can eat breakfast in the hotel. We were there for breakfast. There were no worries about getting a seat in a 1000 room hotel as the dining room is vast and as its buffet service fairly efficient. Its a typical big hotel buffet breakfast, even though some choices seem limited. There were orange juice and a mixed juice option to start. There was apricots and a fruit salad consisting of mainly apple pieces and a good variety of yoghurts. There was the usual great cold meat and cheese choices which you get in these hotels as well as a good selection of breads and pastries. There was a good variety of cooked food - fried and scrambled eggs, potatoes, tomatoes as well as sausages and bacon. The sausages were poor specimens compared to what you get in an English breakfast (surprising seeing Germany is the self proclaimed sausage capital of the world. The same criticism can be poked at the bacon. Germany and pork go together. Not here as the bacon was those strips of fat you get in the US fried to a dense consistency, which can't live with an Irish rasher. Butter was dispensed by the pat from a fancy machine and there was hot tea on demand and coffee on the table. Tea selection was limited to various fruit/herb teas and Earl grey (we came across this in a number of cafes/restaurants). No English breakfast/Liptons/Twinings tea though.There was plenty of waiter service clearing away used dishes. So in summary a good breakfast but a bit pricey at €19 per head for what it was. We ate breakfast elsewhere for the rest of the trip.

En perfekt stekt köttbit med god sås och tillbehör. Salladen var väldigt riklig och välsmakande. Trevlig personal.
