Good tapas and also good service

The waiters are nice as well as the atmosphere. However, do not order the gambas al ajilo. They do not clean them inside. It is not nice to eat them not cleaned. I would recommend to start cleaning them. It is the 3rd time this happens. Thank you!

The food was OK, but not particularly tasty. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant is nice. Unfortunately the service was very unfriendly, which is why my friends and I won't be going there again. When we arrived (around 5:30 p.m.) we were told several times in an unfriendly manner that we had to leave the reserved table at 8 p.m. I think it's completely okay to give the hint at the beginning. However, being told this for the third time, before our ordered water arrived and we could even order food, gave us the feeling that we wanted to “get over” quickly. The message that we had to leave at 8 p.m. was even more frequent that evening and at 7:45 p.m. the waiter specifically asked us to leave directly because he had to prepare the table. When ordering food (tapas), two of us had the menu snatched out of our hands with the words “Enough. It will be too close until 8 p.m. and we definitely wouldn’t be able to do the whole thing.” At least we weren't completely full in the end :-) The food came after 5-7 minutes, was lukewarm and definitely not freshly prepared. Very unfortunate.

I was with a friend today, the waiter was very rude from the start.

We have been guests here for many years, often several times a month. Recently the quality has deteriorated and the service has become very unfriendly. The toilet facilities are a disaster. For my birthday, which falls on February 14th, we went out to dinner with my whole family. As soon as we were welcomed at the entrance, we were told in an impossible tone that we were given exactly 2 hours. The staff was unfriendly and unfortunately the food was once again not good at all, but it was never that bad. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being guests, but will now look for another steakhouse.

Last week I visited a Spanish restaurant with my best friend in the heart of Frankfurt, right next to the Hauptwache. The first impression of the restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The furnishings were designed with great attention to detail and created a welcoming atmosphere that immediately evoked holiday feelings. Ambience and Service: We got there early and the restaurant was still empty. Despite our reservation, we were allowed to choose a spot as the activity doesn't really start until 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately it took a while for someone to come to take our drink order even though we were very thirsty. After the menus were brought to us, it took some time until our order was taken. This was a bit disappointing as we would have liked quicker service. There was hardly anything going on. Food and Drinks: The prices in the restaurant are rather high, which raised high expectations for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met. The fish we ordered wasn't really fresh, which significantly diminished the enjoyment. Unfortunately, apart from the octopus, everything tasted poor. I took photos of the dishes that I will upload so everyone can see for themselves. The cocktail menu was extensive and I started by ordering a Long Island Iced Tea. However, this tasted almost exclusively of cola. After complaining to the waiter, I received a correctly prepared drink. The waiter was very courteous and personable, which significantly improved the overall impression of the service. Conclusion: The restaurant impresses with its beautiful interior and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the quality of the food left something to be desired and the service was a bit slow at first. Despite the great location, I cannot fully recommend the restaurant due to mixed experiences.

Tapas for 2 people. Great quality and very tasty. A dream for 38 euros. Service was really nice and food was at the table very quickly. It was a bit noisy as it was full. Absolute recommendation. We'll definitely be back. 👍

The waiters were quick and quick. We were told to put all of our meat on the stone, even though we were there several times. We were told how to do it three times and it was never done except today. The meat! Beyond delicious. I ordered 200gr well done rump steak with truffle mash and veggies on the side. Everything was delicious. The one star I deducted is for the service plate is coming without the mash potato, felt like something missing at first… when I asked for the mash potatoes, the waitress didn’t explain anything and she brought the mash right after. Another thing is the spacing between the tables are too small even the waiters are resenting and complaining each other for coming each other’s way. Obviously they are in a big rush for the dinner time but it’s not pleasant to watch and listen them arguing. You need reservations definitely. Worth trying.

The steak is not good, but the tapas are edible. The quality of the steak is much worse than that of Maredo. The taste may be good, but they force a 10% tip. I met an employee who was sarcastic and sarcastic when I told him in German that I had been living in Germany for a long time.

I specifically ordered 400g ribeye to avoid the lava rock (it's written in the menu that order 500g will come on a lava rock to cook at your table). I don't want the lava rock. It is really difficult to get a good crust with well cooked medium rare from it. I just want the meat to be cooked from the kitchen. The staff persuade me to order the 1000g tomahawk because it is a dry aged meat and will come on a lava rock (He was very proud and trying to presented the lava rock on the table). Well, I decided to give it a chance and order a tomahawk. OK, now I expect a tomahawk on a lava rock. However, I got a 400g ribeye instead. I don't know why. And to make things worse, it came on a lava rock. The staff cooked the steak on the lava rock for me and I got a grey steak in the end. After I finished my meat dish, staff came to collect the plate. There is some unfinished bread in the basket which I still eating. The staff came and took the bread basket away without saying anything. I think he realized on the way he walked that I might not finish the bread yet so he turned and made a kind of hand signal question to ask me whether I was done with it or not. However, it was too late to ask. At check-out, the staff asked for a tip. I gave a proper amount of tip. However, his reaction was rude, it might be because he expect higher amount.

If you want to spend a cozy evening, this is the wrong place for you. We reserved in advance and received an email shortly before the appointment that we had to leave after 2 hours. Unfortunately, this condition was nowhere on the website, but okay, we'll eat dessert somewhere else. It's not just the worst restaurant in Frankfurt, it's probably the worst restaurant in Europe. I made a reservation and visited, but there were a lot of seats inside, but they gave me a seat right in front of the door. When I asked for a seat inside, they refused, saying that those were reserved seats. We also made a reservation and visited, but I had no idea what they were talking about. This is a normal person who asks for a 10% tip when paying, and writes down the additional 10% tip amount with a pen while serving this nonsense, and then gets angry and yells that you will never come back again when I tell you to pay this and say you will pay without tip. I don’t think so. After paying, I asked for a receipt, and he got angry and refused at first, saying he couldn't give me the receipt. Later, he came to the table and threw it. A nice restaurant, very rustically furnished in wood and leather, with a large terrace. Here you can have the steak served to your liking on the hot stone slab. All I can say is that it's beautifully done and everyone will find the right point when the meat 🥩 has reached the right cooking point to enjoy. Is recommended! You can reach the steakhouse via Schillerstrasse (Passage) or via Große Eschenheimer Straße. Parking garage is nearby, Myzeil or Börseparkhaus. My rating is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.

The food in general was very good, big portions, but the meat and vegetables had too much oil for my taste.

We walked past the shop a lot; it was always busy and the customers looked happy. For these reasons we decided to test it out. We ordered lava stone steak with rosemary potatoes, as well as mushrooms in olive oil with garlic and parsley and garlic bread. The meat was very tender and had a great taste. The mushrooms were very tender and very flavorful. The bread was crispy and had a full-bodied garlic flavor. All in all, this store is definitely recommended. You receive a warm welcome, the waiters are very nice and do their job very well. We felt very comfortable and will now come more often. A 10 out of 10. You have to visit this shop, otherwise you have missed something in Frankfurt.

We were here for the first time today at lunchtime with four people. And really very satisfied! Extremely nice service, really good food (tomato soup, Caesar salad with steak strips, large house salad with chicken strips, hamburger), the portion size, the quality, the taste are right. Rustic and cozy atmosphere. A real hit for us - thank you very much! Next time there will be a tapas session. They looked extremely good at the next table...

This restaurant was such a fun and unique experience! I got the 300g ribeye and it was so delicious and tender. I chose to cook my steak at my table on a hot stone for an extra cool experience. My husband had the fajitas and they were just as delicious. This is definitely a must if you are visiting Frankfurt!

I go to Frankfurt every now and then to have lunch there. Highly recommended. Both the lunch and the tapas.

Pretty good food, Very courteous staff. They say they don't accept American Express cards...on the entrance door several stickers with the Am.Ex logo and no notice saying otherwise. This really annoyed me. (When you have to pay, They say that they don't accept Am.Ex..while at the entrance door it's evident the opposite) I often have the impression that in Germany customers, especially foreigners, are treated like real "cash cows"... no caring, almost expected tips for zero added value...

A culinary experience for meat lovers Yesterday we spontaneously decided to visit - without a reservation and yet rewarded with fast, friendly table service. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. The highlight of the evening was the grill plate for two people: various types of meat grilled to perfection, juicy and aromatic. In particular, the stuffed minced beef with goat cheese was an absolute highlight - an excellent taste that melted in your mouth. The side dishes, including the crispy rosemary potatoes and fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, complemented the main course beautifully. The wine selection also left nothing to be desired and harmonized perfectly with the meat. Conclusion: An excellent restaurant that impresses with both the service and the quality of the food. For meat lovers, the grill plate is a must! We will definitely come back and recommend making reservations in good time.

Food was mediocre, some of my vegetable side dishes were burnt. Toilet dirty, staffed by a singing cleaner who was probably only looking for tips, not to clean. Personally, I think it's inappropriate for a restaurant to want to take toilet money, as it should of course also offer clean toilets. It's very loud in the restaurant and after visiting you smell like a steak.

The ambience is amazing! The food and flavour is incredible! I highly recommend it to those who are interested. My experience was really incredible!

I was there with my dad and am absolutely dissatisfied. My chicken was rock hard, at first I thought it was overcooked. Afterwards, I couldn't digest the food and have had diarrhea ever since. It seems to me that there was a lack of hygiene as the chicken was obviously old. Friends of ours also reported that the pickled shrimp (starter) still came with the intestines and the main course was with king prawns, although the starter was also with intestines because of the intestines. For me these are NO GO's and unacceptable, there's nothing nice to say anymore. Not recommended due to hygiene reasons, service was nice.

Unfortunately our Christmas party disappointment with 16 people. At first we were greeted unfriendly and said that nothing had been reserved (confirmation by email was available). Then grumblingly accepted after we showed the booking. This was followed by unfriendly comments and a lot of complaining from several waitresses about where we had to wait and other guests then had to move around. Not everything was enough, we were given the regular menu: we immediately ordered 4 starter plates worth €160 and the anticipation grew, but we still felt that we weren't wanted. An angry waiter other than the man assigned to us came to our table, started arguing with us about correct cards and had a tone that was hard to believe. We should be grateful that we even got a table, the boss would be in the back, then again the boss wouldn't be there. Without further ado, we decided to leave the restaurant, and our waiter's attempt to get us back didn't work either - the disappointment was too great. 16 stunned people who wanted to celebrate their Christmas party in a delicious, luxurious and boozy way left the restaurant unanimously and in horror. Even the call from the boss with an apology didn't help and of course no - we're definitely not coming anymore! What an incredible experience. How can you be so customer friendly?

We chose the Buena Vista for the Christmas party. It was a good choice. We were lucky enough to enjoy the lunch menu. In general, all the dishes that were tried were rated very well. The service was very attentive and went very smoothly and quickly despite 17 people. The restaurant is comfortably furnished with lots of wood and some very decorative things and can accommodate many guests. Please reserve in advance - the restaurant is always full... The smell of the fried delicacies is omnipresent. Delicious... I would be happy to come back

The steak on the hot lava stone was simply fantastic. We were able to prepare it exactly how we liked it - a real treat! The quality of the meat and side dishes was top, and the service was super friendly. A special dinner that we would like to repeat!

Good food with very attentive service. Staff and the kitchen also manage to have the ordered food ready in a timely manner, even though the shop was full to the last table! Chapeau - Buena Vista has that well under control. Because there are so many people, it can get loud... but you only notice that when most of the guests have left ;-) The price is also ok (for Frankfurt standards).

Overall a good restaurant, i feel good recommending it. The strong points are the quality of the meat, the grilling and tempering was on point & the tapas and sides blew me away. I especially recommend the octopus salad. I deducted one star for two reasons. The first is you have to pay cash to use the toilette, which is an absolute no-go in a restaurant of this category. The second is the size of the tables and general spacing. It felt a bit overcrowding and not too inviting. Also the waiter forgot one our ordered items, but that can happen so i didnt include it in the rating

Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere! Absolutely recommended. We think the only point of growth is the cordiality of the service. The gentlemen did not act unkind or surly, but hardly said anything, let alone a kind word. We thought that was a shame.

Nice place to meet up for lunch! However, it can get crowded quickly after 12:00 on weekdays. It is therefore advisable to make an online reservation on the homepage so that you can accommodate the desired number of work colleagues/acquaintances/friends. On my last visit I had the game goulash with spaetzle and some braised vegetables as a side dish. The game goulash was tender and on point and the spaetzle was nice and firm to the bite. I would therefore be happy to recommend Buena Vista for dedicated meat consumption fans. You also have to expect a waiting time of up to 30 minutes from ordering to serving at lunchtime. You will be rewarded with some really good food. Since I haven't been there at any other time of day, I can't say much about dinner at Buena Vista or eating out on the weekend. :-)

Für mich mein Steakhouse! Das Fleisch ist super, die Ambiente auch sehr schön und das Personal freundlich. Preis-/Leistung ist hier auch super (man sollte allerdings schon bisschen Geld mitbringen) ansonsten kann man hier einen sehr schönen, leckeren Abend verbringen! Wiederholungsbedarf :-)!

You definitely have to make a reservation in this restaurant, as there are always people standing outside waiting. The employees are completely overwhelmed by separating those waiting into reserved and unreserved tables. This is difficult. When there's so much going on there, you just have to put someone at the door. The food and the restaurant were really great, but the service wasn't up to par. After we finished the first round, we were never asked if we wanted to drink anything else. One had the impression that they wanted to sell food and drink quickly and then get rid of the people so that new customers could come in. The service was not convincing. And then they wanted money for the toilet. That's embarrassing. If so many people who don't eat in the restaurant come into the restaurant to use the toilet, this can also be regulated with the aforementioned entrance control. But you can't want to take money from guests.

Great local! Be sure to reserve. It was full in at least 2 rounds. D Compliments to the kitchen, the food is excellent! Your service is friendly and competent. The only drawback is the menu showing the distillates. It's better to have less choice but a few nice things. I would love to come back!

We went there without a reservation on a Saturday around lunchtime. We received you politely and courteously, although a lot of it was played..... unfortunately that's why a star is missing here. Otherwise in the evenings only with reservation. Food was plentiful and very tasty. We'd love to come back in 4 years.

I absolutely loved Buena Vista in Frankfurt! The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of tapas, making it perfect for sharing and trying a variety of flavors. The location was a bonus, just a short walk from our hotel. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which provided a lovely atmosphere for dining. Great food, pleasant ambiance, and friendly service—definitely a spot I’d recommend!

An excellent steak restaurant. First of all, you find yourself in a very cozy and classic Mexican steakhouse atmosphere. The service is direct and friendly. The food comes very quickly, after about 15 minutes our steaks were on the table. First cream in terms of taste. Absolute tip: the bread with aioli. Warm and juicy, almost cake-like bread with a homemade aioli that tastes so radically garlicky that it's almost addictive. Thoroughly a fantastic steak restaurant in the center of Frankfurt.

We had dinner at Buena Vista with a group of 30 people. The entire process, from planning to billing, went smoothly. The food was great. The guests very satisfied. Absolutely recommended!

Mixed feelings about this place. Packed and buzzing when we got there. Ordered the platter to share & was impressed when it arrived (very promptly too considering the numbers in there). That's when the service ended. Took ages to catch someone's eye to get a 2nd drink. Then impossible to get a 3rd. The place had emptied & staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves or laying tables for tomorrow. Wanted a desert & coffee but waited that long we just wanted to leave. Steak was dry & and overcooked sadly, but the rest was delicious. It took me putting my coat on to prompt someone to come over, who then had the audacity to ask for a tip. Then was pretty rude when we didn't oblige. Bit of a disappointing end to the evening.

We went to Buena Vista for dinner. The atmosphere is modern and chic. The dishes and tapas we ordered were all very tasty, especially the chicken fajitas were delicious. The service was friendly, but you had to wait longer to get your attention. In the end we had a lovely evening at Bueno Vista and will definitely come back at some point~

The burger was awesome! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The tapas are also very good. Price/performance ratio fits. The proximity to our hotel was great.

I had a horrible experience (eventho I speak German). They are incapable of managing reservations and the people waiting without reservations. I ate there maybe 5 times with/without reservations and the service was always incredibly slow and the waiters were rude but I honestly came back for the food. Tonight I waited patiently for over half an hour, only to see people that came after me and definitely without reservations getting seated before me because they had some personal relation to the bald waiter. They can keep their tables to themselves then. Not returning.

We have ordered 2 steaks and it was ok nothing special but very salty. However waitress approaches was horrific. He persist to get tip, he even told me that I must tip in Germany :) funny but not expected in Frankfurt. And then throw away card slip to table!

The table we reserved for 11 people a week ago was only reserved for 8 people by the waiter and we were repeatedly accused of lying and only having reserved for 8. We were then offered a table where we could squeeze in. The waiter was visibly stressed and it was more of a check-in than a nice evening. Inappropriate comments were made several times towards us or other guests. The food was delicious, but we definitely won't come back because of the service.

Exceptional ambience to enjoy perfectly grilled, super tender steaks.

The steak is grilled on a personal stone plate and it is so tender and delicious. Gambas are small in quantity but delicious.

The Buena Vista is located at the Hauptwache and therefore in a prime city location. There are delicious tapas and grilled dishes. Friendly service rounds it off.

The food was overpriced compared to quality. We and 18 people had to pay a total of €1,200. The biggest impudence only happened after paying at the table, where I only ordered water at the bar. They said I should go to a kiosk because that would be too expensive for me. Anyone who treats people so superficially has no place in the catering industry.

Very good red wines in the glass white bar, even an Opus One is offered there at a good price. Two great Franconian white wines from Rudi May.

We had a dog with us and were greeted very unfriendly with regard to our dog. We were seated at the table by the window in the corner at the front left... after 10 minutes we were told we had to sit somewhere else, the table was reserved. When I answered that it wasn't my problem, the waiters started discussing loudly among themselves... We just left, it was all pretty unprofessional.

Everything perfect! Have been to different tapas restaurants several times. Great taste, lots of choice, served quickly! Nice atmosphere. Like everywhere, tapas are generally a bit more expensive.

We went to this restaurant with colleagues. In general everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. However, the service wasn't that good and the waiters were constantly stressed. The best place to eat is out here. Inside can sometimes smell a lot like smoke and be a bit cramped.
