Nice place, good food, the service could improve, the waiter who served us was good, but we often had difficulty finding him and the others didn't bother to answer or call him.

I ate here with two work colleagues. The steak was recommended to us beforehand, and I wholeheartedly agree. I had the sirloin steak, cooked rare, and the chef prepared it perfectly. High praise! I'll definitely be back soon.

We were there last year, and the food and service were really good. So we went back to the shop with friends. When we arrived, we were immediately scolded for leaving a gift bag on the table. We had ordered tapas and wanted to share them as a group. When we politely asked if we could all have a plate, we were told no. Only one person had ordered. We had specifically requested the tapas as an appetizer. The waiter brought us everything at the same time and said it would be better if he brought everything together. The table was far too full, and no one had room to eat. One dish arrived incorrectly (ordered vegetarian, received meat), a steak was ordered medium and arrived rare, and the sauces for another dish were forgotten. The Prosecco we ordered was never brought. Our waiter didn't even come to our table, even though we had finished all our glasses and it was over 30 degrees outside. When we asked for drinks at another winery, we were told to wait for our waiter, who never came. So we had to drink the drinks we brought with us. The waiter only came to take our money because he was off duty. When we asked to see the bill before paying, he just rolled his eyes and told us he'd never done anything wrong. They also refused to hand us the bill. All in all, it was really bad. We couldn't have been more disappointed.

I’ve often come here for lunch and enjoyed the food, but after tonight’s experience, I won’t be returning. I went for dinner with my partner while 9-months pregnant. A bald waiter asked us to move tables due to an upcoming reservation. Then he told us we have only 2 min to order from a limited menu selection restricted to steaks only (no salads or tapas) because the kitchen was closing soon. If the restaurant was expecting other guests, why the limited menu for us? The service was disappointing and disrespectful. We left and won’t be back.

Food ordered: Buena Vista Grillplatte Overall disappointing. This was my 6th visit, and the quality of the food has noticeably declined. 1. Frikadelle with Käse was undercooked. 2. Steak and lamb chops were burnt. 3. Vegetables were bland and lacked freshness. 4. Only the chicken and potatoes were decent. Service was underwhelming: the waiter was noticeably more attentive to a nearby table that only ordered drinks, while we, despite ordering a full meal and drinks, weren’t even offered bread. He then asked if he’d be getting a tip. For context, I’m a person of colour, and it genuinely felt like our table was being overlooked. At these prices, you’d expect both better food and professional service. At this point, it seems you’re mostly paying for the ambience.

Unfortunately, we had no luck with our waiter. He was far too personal and asked too many questions. The highlight was when he insisted on pushing a bottle of wine for €58. In the end, he insisted on a 10% tip. I wanted to round the amount up, but he didn't agree and insisted on his 10%. So I only gave him a €2 tip (which was still too much, unfortunately). The other waiters were very nice and apologized for their behavior. The waiter had told us he was from Tunisia, which we weren't interested in. Unfortunately, that was bad for business :-(

Everything was great before the waiter arrived. He was quite pushy, offering us a German wine for 58 euros right from the start. Afterwards, he insisted on knowing our origins. Why? No idea. And to top it off, he insisted on a 10% tip. Anyway. The food is good, but if you see a waiter of Tunisian origin approaching you, ask to be served by someone else.

An absolute insider tip in the heart of Frankfurt! Buena Vista impresses with its authentic Latin American ambiance and diverse menu. Particularly noteworthy are the steaks and fajitas, which can be prepared tableside on a hot stone – a true experience! The tapas selection is extensive, and the aioli is to die for. The service was always friendly and attentive.

Spanish restaurant with no sangria.

Normally not a tapas guy, but the wife is so she picked this place. I actually liked it. I got a steak, tapas mushrooms, eggplant. We got the cheeseboard. She got a couple things. They all tasted great we were able to get a beer and then two glasses of wine and it was only like €60 so I’m more than happy.

I'vee been here a few times and have noticed a gradual decline in the quality of food and service. The last experience does not deserve a sufficiency because of the slow and unfriendly service. Also, the music from the beginning of the evening was too loud and conversation wasn't possible.

What a fabulous place in Frankfurt city center. Very nice ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food and great vibe. We had the Spanish Omlette, meatballs and squid Tapas (included photo). Our waiter Giovani took good care of us with a constant smile and delivered beyond our expectations. Certainly will come back during our next trip.

Excellent food, perhaps one of the best times I have eaten straight. The combination with the sheep's cheese made it all creamy and soft. Delicious with a Rioja. The warm brownie with ice cream was very tasty. The cappuccino was also good and I am quite critical of that. The service was enthusiastic and made jokes. Was a bit rushed at first but recovered well during the rest of the evening. The restaurant is decorated in style with Argentinian elements, old revolvers and old books. I don't quite understand why these books are, but they look very nice. It was noisy, but we could usually hear each other. We walked in without a reservation on a Saturday evening and they made a seat for us, which not every restaurant would do, thank you!

I don’t know why, but when I went to dine alone, I received terrible service. I was asked to wait there alone. No one took the initiative to give me a menu. Not long after I got the menu, they came over to urge me to order, so I ordered a meal in a hurry without having time to think about what I wanted to eat. In April everything was still very tasty, but this time it was disappointing: the portions and the selection of ingredients - especially for the fajitas - are noticeably reduced. There wasn't even any sauce with it. The meat was ordered medium rare, but came completely cooked through. After our complaint we received almost raw meat - half of it was inedible. Instead of apologizing, the waiter ended up being rude and said, “We don’t even know each other.”

I wanted to eat a steak, so I went there alone, but when I tried to order 3 beers for 500 won (less than an hour later), they tried to kick me out, saying that the table here had to leave in an hour. There was a table that came before me, but they only ordered beers and told me to leave, and they tried to force me to take a tip starting from almost 10% (there were also 5%).

I recently had a steak at this restaurant - simply fantastic! Perfectly prepared and a real highlight in terms of taste. The service was also great: the waiter was extremely friendly and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. A completely successful visit!

We were specifically looking for a Spanish/tapas bar and lo and behold “Buena Vista” was simply great! The tapas are sufficient and the price/performance ratio was absolutely right for Frankfurt standards. The taste was also very, very tasty and beautifully prepared. Great!!!

Dishes were heavier than we expected. Lots of cheese and sauces. Fajitas were more like a cheese and tomato stew in a bowl, not grilled as we see them in the US. While the good tasted good it was disappointing. Waiter was nice and attentive. Perhaps steaks are better but I could not tell from the menu what they would be like. We would not go back.

For my birthday, which falls on February 14th, we went there for dinner with my whole family. Unfortunately one of the worst Spanish restaurants I have visited. The food is completely unseasoned and tastes bland. For the quality and service it is completely overpriced. The food is presented attractively, but the taste is a flat 0/10. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - unless you like completely under-seasoned food. Added to this is the catastrophic service: we had to wait 20 minutes for our bill, and the drinks were also disappointing - apparently there is no real bartender. The music is so loud that the entire restaurant is drowned in noise. It's a shame, because the atmosphere and ambience were actually promising.

Very Rude Mangment and very bad attitude , unprofessional

Portions and flavour were middling compared to the price and size of plate. The dessert was great, drinks fine. We were a larger group and when the place was getting busy and we were still having drinks we were asked if we would be leaving soon. Finally, it seems staff are not trained in how to efficiently manage individual payments, so if there are a lot of you and you want to leave sooner, split the bill among yourselves, otherwise expect another 20-30 minutes of waiting for the bill to be tallied.

I was there with my siblings and we were looking forward to a lovely evening. Been here twice before. The service was very bad today. Our waiter “PEPE” was barely visible at our table. He took the order and was gone. In between, other waiters kept asking for things because he was nowhere to be seen. Finally we ordered cocktails. It was 11 p.m. when he came to us and said he had to do the bill because it was the last round (restaurant closes at 12 p.m.). We were ok, then he said yes, we have to make an invoice, he can't split it up, there were 6 of us and our bill was over €400 and he wanted one person to pay everything because he was too lazy to enter everything. After a long back and forth, he said ok then divide it among 4, which was very rude. We then divided it up and when we paid we rounded it up to €2. We wanted to give him the tip in cash. But he was so impatient that while my daughter was holding out her card to pay, he insisted that we should tip him at least €10 since he had provided such good service. We were a bit taken aback because we wanted to give him something in cash anyway, but he insisted and said to us: “What do you think where you are, this is not a snack bar where you give little tips”. Mega ass!!! We then didn't give the €60 tip we wanted to give him. It was just very unfriendly. Service here MEGA NEGATIVE. Was my last time in this restaurant.

The restaurant gets a total of 4.2 out of 5 stars. The ambience was attractive and inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The dishes were served quickly and tasted impressive. The portions were reasonable and well balanced. Given the central location in the immediate vicinity of the Zeil, the price-performance ratio was reasonable. There are also parking spaces available directly opposite in the parking garage, which makes the journey particularly comfortable.

Basic service but asked for tips with preset amount . Really aggressive. First waiter asked 4 Euro but i rejected. In the end, 40.9 turned to 43. I didn't understand why tips came to be a "must" choice now.

Beautiful place and the prices are nice. I enjoyed the food (Rib Eye Steak with mash-potatoes). Ambience and location is really great and authentic. Nice to bring a date or just go to take pictures. Overall I enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere more.

Highly recommended!! We came by chance and it was really delicious, we ordered a lot because we didn't expect the portions to be so big for such a cheap price, and everything was delicious.

The food was OK, but not particularly tasty. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant is nice. Unfortunately the service was very unfriendly, which is why my friends and I won't be going there again. When we arrived (around 5:30 p.m.) we were told several times in an unfriendly manner that we had to leave the reserved table at 8 p.m. I think it's completely okay to give the hint at the beginning. However, being told this for the third time, before our ordered water arrived and we could even order food, gave us the feeling that we wanted to “get over” quickly. The message that we had to leave at 8 p.m. was even more frequent that evening and at 7:45 p.m. the waiter specifically asked us to leave directly because he had to prepare the table. When ordering food (tapas), two of us had the menu snatched out of our hands with the words “Enough. It will be too close until 8 p.m. and we definitely wouldn’t be able to do the whole thing.” At least we weren't completely full in the end :-) The food came after 5-7 minutes, was lukewarm and definitely not freshly prepared. Very unfortunate.

The waiters are nice as well as the atmosphere. However, do not order the gambas al ajilo. They do not clean them inside. It is not nice to eat them not cleaned. I would recommend to start cleaning them. It is the 3rd time this happens. Thank you!

Last week I visited a Spanish restaurant with my best friend in the heart of Frankfurt, right next to the Hauptwache. The first impression of the restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The furnishings were designed with great attention to detail and created a welcoming atmosphere that immediately evoked holiday feelings. Ambience and Service: We got there early and the restaurant was still empty. Despite our reservation, we were allowed to choose a spot as the activity doesn't really start until 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately it took a while for someone to come to take our drink order even though we were very thirsty. After the menus were brought to us, it took some time until our order was taken. This was a bit disappointing as we would have liked quicker service. There was hardly anything going on. Food and Drinks: The prices in the restaurant are rather high, which raised high expectations for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met. The fish we ordered wasn't really fresh, which significantly diminished the enjoyment. Unfortunately, apart from the octopus, everything tasted poor. I took photos of the dishes that I will upload so everyone can see for themselves. The cocktail menu was extensive and I started by ordering a Long Island Iced Tea. However, this tasted almost exclusively of cola. After complaining to the waiter, I received a correctly prepared drink. The waiter was very courteous and personable, which significantly improved the overall impression of the service. Conclusion: The restaurant impresses with its beautiful interior and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the quality of the food left something to be desired and the service was a bit slow at first. Despite the great location, I cannot fully recommend the restaurant due to mixed experiences.

The meat! Beyond delicious. I ordered 200gr well done rump steak with truffle mash and veggies on the side. Everything was delicious. The one star I deducted is for the service plate is coming without the mash potato, felt like something missing at first… when I asked for the mash potatoes, the waitress didn’t explain anything and she brought the mash right after. Another thing is the spacing between the tables are too small even the waiters are resenting and complaining each other for coming each other’s way. Obviously they are in a big rush for the dinner time but it’s not pleasant to watch and listen them arguing. You need reservations definitely. Worth trying.

I have order a medium steak with baked potato, both came row, quality is like a bistro, money spent for nothing, I am still hungry as it was not edible. Never again.

I specifically ordered 400g ribeye to avoid the lava rock (it's written in the menu that order 500g will come on a lava rock to cook at your table). I don't want the lava rock. It is really difficult to get a good crust with well cooked medium rare from it. I just want the meat to be cooked from the kitchen. The staff persuade me to order the 1000g tomahawk because it is a dry aged meat and will come on a lava rock (He was very proud and trying to presented the lava rock on the table). Well, I decided to give it a chance and order a tomahawk. OK, now I expect a tomahawk on a lava rock. However, I got a 400g ribeye instead. I don't know why. And to make things worse, it came on a lava rock. The staff cooked the steak on the lava rock for me and I got a grey steak in the end. After I finished my meat dish, staff came to collect the plate. There is some unfinished bread in the basket which I still eating. The staff came and took the bread basket away without saying anything. I think he realized on the way he walked that I might not finish the bread yet so he turned and made a kind of hand signal question to ask me whether I was done with it or not. However, it was too late to ask. At check-out, the staff asked for a tip. I gave a proper amount of tip. However, his reaction was rude, it might be because he expect higher amount.

If you want to spend a cozy evening, this is the wrong place for you. We reserved in advance and received an email shortly before the appointment that we had to leave after 2 hours. I made a reservation and visited, but there were a lot of seats inside, but they gave me a seat right in front of the door. We ordered lava stone steak with rosemary potatoes, as well as mushrooms in olive oil with garlic and parsley and garlic bread. The meat was very tender and had a great taste. The mushrooms were very tender and very flavorful. The bread was crispy and had a full-bodied garlic flavor. All in all, this store is definitely recommended. You receive a warm welcome, the waiters are very nice and do their job very well. We felt very comfortable and will now come more often. A 10 out of 10. You have to visit this shop, otherwise you have missed something in Frankfurt.

We were here for the first time today at lunchtime with four people. And really very satisfied! This restaurant was such a fun and unique experience! I got the 300g ribeye and it was so delicious and tender. I chose to cook my steak at my table on a hot stone for an extra cool experience. My husband had the fajitas and they were just as delicious. This is definitely a must if you are visiting Frankfurt!

Pretty good food, Very courteous staff. They say they don't accept American Express cards...on the entrance door several stickers with the Am.Ex logo and no notice saying otherwise. This really annoyed me. (When you have to pay, They say that they don't accept Am.Ex..while at the entrance door it's evident the opposite) I often have the impression that in Germany customers, especially foreigners, are treated like real "cash cows"... no caring, almost expected tips for zero added value...

The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. The highlight of the evening was the grill plate for two people: various types of meat grilled to perfection, juicy and aromatic. In particular, the stuffed minced beef with goat cheese was an absolute highlight - an excellent taste that melted in your mouth. The side dishes, including the crispy rosemary potatoes and fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, complemented the main course beautifully. The wine selection also left nothing to be desired and harmonized perfectly with the meat. Conclusion: An excellent restaurant that impresses with both the service and the quality of the food. For meat lovers, the grill plate is a must! We will definitely come back and recommend making reservations in good time.
