I am always amazed by this restaurant. Eating incredibly delicious food and professional service, the entire staff is really nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy.

Simply a fantastic Spanish restaurant. We keep coming back and it's soooo delicious ☺️

Exceptional ambience to enjoy perfectly grilled, super tender steaks.

The steak is grilled on a personal stone plate and it is so tender and delicious. Gambas are small in quantity but delicious.

The Buena Vista is located at the Hauptwache and therefore in a prime city location. There are delicious tapas and grilled dishes. Friendly service rounds it off.

The food was overpriced compared to quality. We and 18 people had to pay a total of €1,200. The biggest impudence only happened after paying at the table, where I only ordered water at the bar. They said I should go to a kiosk because that would be too expensive for me. Anyone who treats people so superficially has no place in the catering industry.

Very good red wines in the glass white bar, even an Opus One is offered there at a good price. Two great Franconian white wines from Rudi May.

I ordered Papa Arrugadas with mojo and it was boiled potato with salt on top, the supposedly quality meat and that looked like chewing gum. Lastly, the sautéed mushrooms, it seemed like you were eating pieces of garlic; The only good thing is the cocktail. I don't recommend it at all

We had a dog with us and were greeted very unfriendly with regard to our dog. We were seated at the table by the window in the corner at the front left... after 10 minutes we were told we had to sit somewhere else, the table was reserved. When I answered that it wasn't my problem, the waiters started discussing loudly among themselves... We just left, it was all pretty unprofessional.

Everything perfect! Have been to different tapas restaurants several times. Great taste, lots of choice, served quickly! Nice atmosphere. Like everywhere, tapas are generally a bit more expensive.

We went to this restaurant with colleagues. In general everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. However, the service wasn't that good and the waiters were constantly stressed. The best place to eat is out here. Inside can sometimes smell a lot like smoke and be a bit cramped.

NEVER AGAIN / NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Waiter very rude. Food=5*. Service almost non-existent. Although there is a sign in the washrooms that says that tips are not required or are voluntary, we tipped 6 euros on the 244 euro bill because we were not satisfied with the service. We were shouted at, why so little? It should be at least 10% and we should eat at McDonalds. That's exactly what we're going to do. NEVER AGAIN / NEVER EVER AGAIN.

My girlfriend and I were there at the end of January and the food and staff were great. Yesterday on September 2nd We wanted to eat there again with our friends, but it was the opposite of what we had actually hoped for. Our cyclists arrived very late, a meal was forgotten (the others had already finished their meal) and the sausages on the grill were sent out black... The waiter ignored it and there wasn't even a compensation. We are very disappointed with the restaurant and unfortunately this was our last visit… Table: 91

We were a group of seven and we spent a lot of money on dinner. Throughout the meal, we noticed that the restaurant employees were impolite and rude. When we asked for the bill, the waiter demanded a 10% tip in a tone that felt obligatory. I explained that we only give tips for good service, which we did not receive, and that tipping is not obligatory. In response, the waiter rudely suggested that we should go to McDonald's next time. It is a restaurant to avoid if you like to be well treated.

Picturesquely located opposite the Thurn-und-Taxis-Galerie, between Zeil and the stock exchange. Super-friendly and extremely solution-oriented staff who work with passion and expertise. The delicious porterhouse steak we shared “almost became an afterthought.” And Sammy is simply the best! 🫶 Any time!

Obwohl man in den Waschräumen auf einem Schild lesen kann, dass Trinkgeld nicht erforderlich bzw. auf freiwilliger Basis zu geben ist, gaben wir 6 Euro Trinkgeld auf 244 Euro-Rechnung, da wir nicht mit dem Service zufrieden waren. Da wurden wir angeschrien, warum so wenig, wir sollen mindestens 10% Trinkgeld geben, und wir doch bei McDonalds essen sollten. Genau das werden wir machen. NIE WIEDER... Weniger anzeigen

I waited almost 20 minutes to get seated, not because there was a queue but because the waiter kept forgetting. Then another 20 to get the menu….it was a long wait, honestly believe it was because I was dining alone.

Totally disappointed on second day as the steak taste weird and the waiter went missing for quite a long time. Came here last night and it was totally great and today it was such a disappointment.

The service staff are very friendly and polite, and the food is excellent. The store is called Steak Haus. Of course, I tried the steak. I chose the 50% rare filet. After cutting it, it has the color of 50% rare. It is paired with black peppercorns. You can feel the deliciousness of the meat and gravy by eating the original flavor. The restaurant is Spanish-style. You may want to try TAPAS next time!

Delicious food, good service. The place is beautiful and has a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered the hamburger and the fajitas. The portions are quite large. The homemade iced tea is delicious. Highly recommended. It gets very crowded, better to make a reservation.

For me, my steakhouse! The meat is great, the atmosphere is also very nice and the staff is friendly. Price/performance is also great here (but you should bring a little money with you) otherwise you can spend a very nice, delicious evening here! Needs repetition :-)!

Whenever we are in Frankfurt, i.e. two to three times a year, we like to come here. We were always served very friendly and the food was fantastic. Not only are the tapas very good, but also the dishes that are served on hot stones. It's really worth going here.

Card payment from €20 - ridiculous Was here for a beer with colleagues. Wanted to pay for the three beers afterwards. The waiter then just said “from €20”. However, it wasn't written anywhere. Normally don't have cash with you as you really shouldn't expect to have to pay in cash in 2024. The waiter then just said that they would soon only accept cash. Then I know where I won't go anymore 😉 and there's really no need to discuss the issue of fees any further. Leads to nothing. Either the restaurateurs are really stupid and can't do math or they want to avoid the tax authorities. I don't know.

Very good food, not a tourist trap as you might think due to the location Meat has always been very good so far

First visit and definitely not the last. Free choice of seating (but we also came early on Sunday evening). Had various tapas, we all tasted good. There's no reason to complain about the drinks either. There weren't long waits, the service was attentive and friendly. And everything actually at fair prices. To get rid of at least one point of criticism: the staff has a matter-of-fact manner that takes some getting used to. That could definitely be improved, but it was perhaps just a temporary mood.

Well, all in all I give it 3 stars. The food is ok here. Yesterday an older waiter (around 55) served us, very arrogant and cheeky with his jokes. A lady next to us then wanted to pay, she didn't give a tip, which wasn't any It's a must, especially here where it's seen as “a given” that you HAVE to tip for such arrogant waiters... The service is very bad 👎🏼

We were a table of 4. 2 of us did the varied tapas which included many Spanish classics like albóndigas, gambas al ajillo, steak, charcuterie, papas bravas and more. The other 2 people shared an albóndigas dish and aioli with bread. Bread was soft and a great medium to dip in all the dishes. To drink we had tinto de verano which is red wine and sprite, espresso martinis, a Latin lover and a Singapur sling (very sugary).

Delicious tapas! The two of us had the tapas surprise plate. There was really everything on it here, very tasty and enough for both of us. In summer the outdoor area is cozy. Very crowded in the evenings, it's worth coming early or making a reservation.

Second visit and it was even better than the first! The service, the boy named Sami, particularly emphasized the positive impression. Every restaurant needs someone like that! Kind regards, keep it up!!

Visited because I wanted to eat steak. Bake it yourself on hot stones. The appetizer platter was gorgeous with a variety of options. The meat was juicy, filling and delicious.

The food is average. What is really annoying is the service. At the end of the meal the pretend to have 10% more as a tip. The disappointment is not much that this is not written anywhere but the fact that the waiter does not deserve it and despite we clearly said we did not like the service this was applied on us anyway in a very unfriendly and unprofessional way. Our waiter (unfortunately I do not have his name) has been very nervous and rude all the evening. He had to come to our table twice to ask and confirm the drinks. My wife had a small request and he made it sound as it was doing a favour to us and then when we told him we did not want to tip he also raised his voice…simply unbelievable. I recommend an internship to the United States to really understand what good service at restaurants really is before pretending to be tipped..for the records this is not for the amount but more for the behaviour and I am someone who enjoys tipping to recognize top service…which unfortunately is not there at this restaurant.

Beim bezahlen hat der Kellner 10 % Trinkgeld verlangt. Trinkgeld geben ist in Deutschland freiwillig. Man kann geben wieviel man will. Wenn sie ein super Service anbieten bekommen sie auch das was sie verdient haben. Sonst wird es schlecht aussehen für sie! Sie vertreiben nur ihre Kunden mit ihre arrogante Art!

I visited on the last day of my trip. Provide seating information and take orders right away. He was very gentle and kind. Steak and potatoes are really crazy... I put dil butter on top of the sheep cheese steak. There was no unpleasant smell at all and it was very delicious. Definitely intend to visit again

It was a horrible experience. When my friends and I tried to get a seat, the effort was ignored by active avoiding. There were several servers but they all just ignored us. After the struggle of getting a table, we tried to order without gluten since one of us has allergie against it. Unfortunately menu doesn't provide any info about any allergy factors like peanut or gluten, but weird Konservierungstoff etc. When we asked about the allergy info to the waiter, he was so rude, with rolling eyes and skeptical tone, said just checked the number. At the end we didn't get any info about menu, we chose some with best guesses. Then the waiter said "Oh aber das ist panierte" So he knows which one includes gluten or not! Everything was full of laziness and unfriendliness, such an upsetting experience. If anyone needs any info about the menu and to feel welcome, this restaurant is not the right one.

What a great experience. There are still fair prices and top quality. The food, rum steak stuffed with sheep's cheese and rosemary potatoes + side dish as well as rump steak classic with a chosen side dish of truffle puree were very well prepared. The wines are unbeatable in price... The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the smell of food in the interior was very unpleasant. We'll definitely be back

I have eaten there many times with my wife and have always been satisfied. Now we have recommended this restaurant to our foreign visitors. The food was ok, but when the bill came, a 3 euro tip was not felt to be enough. Outrageously, a 10% tip was asked for, pointing out that this was also customary in America. My wife had to go there to ask for the overcharged tip back. The manager didn't seem to be aware of any guilt either and the waiter in question said if he had known this he wouldn't have served you. At these prices, an incomprehensible behavior. So to all foreigners… Be careful!!!! A 10% tip is NOT OBLIGATION in Germany.

A nice little spot in central Frankfurt serving tapas in the traditional Spanish way. Food was good, but I feel like some tapas dishes were lacking flavour. Staff were super friendly and as attentive, good wine.

Supposedly reserved tables left empty, leaving us sat on one of the worst tables. Half an hour to be asked if you want a drink, another half an hour before it’s served. Food overpriced and warmed up from frozen fare. Steak prices similar to good steak houses. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Noone seemed interested in seating us at first, 18:30 not yet too busy. Found the information provided on allergens on the menu very confusing and lacking. Asked the waiter to help me understand what was gluten free and he pointed to the page I had already seen that did not mention cereals, wheat or gluten as I understood and then he walked away as I tried to explain that I couldn't find the information. So I decided to try to order what I thought would be safe and when I ordered the waiter smugly informed me that patatas bravas were in panierte crumb. I hadn't realised this but it was his smug insinuation that I didn't have a genuine dietary requirement that took me aback. Fortunately I have not Coeliac disease but the symptoms I would have to endure are significant and would last for several days. I cannot recommend this establishment if you need your dietary requirement to be understood and taken seriously.

Very tasty tapas in the middle of Frankfurt with an attentive and entertaining service staff. The price-performance ratio is also right here. We'd love to come back.

Food was ok. Service, well, the waiter only spoke German weakly, forgot part of it and didn't respond to us. Simply a clearance. We were hungry, so it was good for that.

We had real bad experience in this restaurant today. I brought a small dry umbrella and put it on the table. A waiter named Miro (with glasses) came and very rudely said that you weren't allowed to put an umbrella on the table (I've never heard of such nonsense). We asked him to find us a place to put our umbrella and to be polite. He tried to kick us out instead. When we tried to complain, no one cared and said they didn't know how to contact the owner/manager. Then I guess I'll have to post the experience here so the owner can see it and give us a reasonable explanation.

We made a reservation through Open Table and called on time to say we would be 15 minutes late due to storms. Reservation was canceled by the manager and rudely told me on the phone that the reservation couldn't be held for 15 minutes. It would have been our first visit to Buena Vista. It will definitely never happen.

Food tastes fantastic and I'm just thrilled.

We've been here off and on since 2017 but I've never experienced anything like today. We ate and celebrated there for our birthday. Everything was great until the bill (almost €400) came. The waiter didn't take the tip and just put the change back so rudely and said that it wasn't enough and wouldn't serve us next time! Just a joke! Then you would have a sign hanging on the door with how much tip you want!

The quality has deteriorated significantly, the young waiter is particularly annoying and strange, he demands a tip directly, although I would like to give a tip for the waitress, I still think it's outrageous, it's no longer recommended.

It was better back then but apparently the quality of the staff and food has declined. Unfortunately, the steaks are just okay, the meat is often hard and not tender. Very disappointing for the price. The ambience, however, is really very nice. The majority of the staff is very unfriendly. We had a normal dinner, but the waiter's attitude left something to be desired on several occasions. The cherry on the cake was when paying, when the tip wasn't enough in the young gentleman's eyes, the remaining money was simply thrown disrespectfully on the table, accompanied by the words: “Are you serious? That's all? (cheeky laugh).” Would have preferred to pocket the “little” tip back. A bottomless impudence!

Rustic Spanish restaurant specializing in steaks that can be grilled tableside on a hot lava stone. Called spontaneously and was lucky. Service was good, meat excellent and atmosphere relaxed.

A nervous waiter who was rude and demanded specific tips and pointed out that this was a very cool restaurant, not McDonald's. The dishes are 2/5, the wine is not very good at all.

We sat outside this time, the weather was kinda warm, and we wanted to enjoy it. The seats were wet and dirty, and the tables were pretty close to each other ,you couldn't sit. They cramped too many tables there and not enough space for the benches. The waiter war was nice and professional and had good suggestions. We had various drinks and tapas. Overall our bill was above 170 euros for 5 persons. Keep in mind that bathrooms are downstairs, not the best situation for handicapped.
