Never been disappointed. The food is simply a 10/10 & what a lovely and warm family business!

Small but nice! A small, nice Nepalese/Tibetan restaurant near Cologne Cathedral. Although the restaurant is relatively small, you can still enjoy spending time with your friends there. The food and drinks taste interesting and delicious. I think this would definitely be something for people who like to try new and unusual things. The restaurant has been beautifully decorated, the staff are friendly and won't let anyone go hungry! Personally I would recommend the Lassi drinks ;)

Buddha’s Eye is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Cologne – a real insider tip that you could easily miss from the outside. The family-run restaurant is cozy and traditionally decorated with books and pictures of Nepal, giving the whole thing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous, the selection is varied, and the dishes are authentic and freshly prepared. The momos and the fried noodles are particularly recommended! The Nepalese beer is also worth trying. I always look forward to coming here and can highly recommend Buddha’s Eye. Once the current closure is over, I look forward to visiting again.

Delicious food, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. She speaks good English and advised us on what food to choose. We were a group of four people for dinner, the place was clean and very cozy, with original decoration. We loved all the food we ate, the menu is extensive and also has vegetarian options. Everything is very reasonably priced. If I visit Cologne again, I will definitely return to this restaurant! 5/5

Going back to this restaurant after 3yrs and still the same satisfaction! All the dishes are super nice and the hospitality is on point. A cozy nook in the centre of the city. Definitely a must try.

The most terrible service I’ve experienced so far! We arrived at around 19.15 and ordered 3 dishes at around 19.30. The place was somewhat full because of pride day, till around 20.00. After that the place was fairly empty. There were only 5-6 tables remaining. We hadn’t received any order till 20.10 so we asked and reminded them. They started cooking our dishes after that and we got only a plate of momos by 20.30. My husband had ordered chow-mein which didn’t arrive till 21.00. We asked them again at 21.00 and found out they hadn’t even started preparing it! So we cancelled the other two dishes and got out of there all hungry, after wasting 2 hours of our lives. We understand it was busy till 20.00 but they didn’t start preparing our orders even after reminding them, after the restaurant was almost empty. They didn’t even apologise properly. Gave an excuse about it being a busy day. The momos were sort of okay. Not the most delicious. To conclude, worst service ever!

We went to this restaurant and the food was not to our expectations. Additionally it was delayed by 40 mins . We were 5 persons and were given 2 plates after serving ala carte , on asking for additional plates were mentioned that they are out of plates and eventually given two side plates . Really disappointed .

Savoury Nepali food with great ambience! The vegetarian momos and Thukpa I had were delicious and very well priced! 😄 Me and my partner have now visited this place four times already in the past few months with and without our friends, and our friends have had the same opinion! 😄 On weekends, I’d definitely recommend to reserve this place as it can get quite busy, but on weekdays afternoon, it’s relaxed. Note that the waiting time can be a bit longer than usual, but that’s only because the food is freshly prepared! 😁 PS. Also try the Nepalese beer, my partner tells me it’s delicious!🍺

I highly recommend this place for authentic nepali momos for people who really craves for nepali taste. The way they represented the menu with typical nepali names is underratted. But choila and chowmein can be more better . So guys if you visit dusseldorf dont miss out this restaurant which brings you memories from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵Ambience just wow👌

My first experience of Tibetan-Nepalese cuisine. Interesting flavors positively satisfied my curiosity. Tibetan tea and a main course with duck (Haans Piro) were unusual for my "European" palate but very fresh and tasty. I'll be happy to come back to try other dishes... The staff are friendly and attentive. The ambience is expected to be “oriental” and familiar. Overall a very positive experience!

Found this Nepali/indian restaurant on the first day of our few days long stay in Cologne. We loved their food and their warm hospitality. We ended up going there twice during our stay. They were consistent on their service. Highly recommend and will go there again.

Food was delicious, unfortunately there was no lunch buffet the week I ate there, so that's actually why I went.

Waited more than 1 hour for a starter, then the main course was brought while eating the starter, no apologies or a drink from the company to compensate, no attention from the staff for the customers, in short, a mockery, we will certainly not come here again! !

It's a bit hidden in the city of Cologne. We googled it. And it was good. Nice service and delicious food. Nothing more is needed. The starter plate for 2 with tomato chicken salad and fried vegetables and cheese was delicious. And the main course of fried noodles with chicken wasn't run of the mill, but rather seasoned a little differently than, for example, at the Chinese restaurant. So I can recommend the small restaurant.

Former pub converted into a Tibetan restaurant. You have to make a reservation as the 10 tables fill up quickly. The waiter isn't the fastest, but he's nice. Food rich and homemade.

Quite tasty, but not an exceptional taste experience either. A cucumber salad with half an unseasoned cucumber as a filler under the marinated slices... you can do it, but you don't have to. But nice service and good prices.

The food in this restaurant gets 0 stars from me because I honestly can't rate it. It didn't even happen that we stayed in this restaurant. Which is unfortunately very, very unfortunate. But I would like to explain to you my past experience with this restaurant. I am a 32 year old electric wheelchair user. The wheelchair itself does not have any special dimensions or anything like that. It simply drives electrically, nothing more and nothing less. So before I drive to or visit any location, be it a concert, an event or just the normal meal out with friends in restaurants, I see it as my duty to provide myself with sufficient information and prepare myself. Unfortunately, spontaneous excursions are not possible if you are dependent on a wheelchair, have to remain seated in it and cannot move around and you need special aids. So that the people on site can also adapt to the situation and plan everything accordingly, I called a few weeks ago to reserve a table for 5 people and just reported that I was dependent on an electric wheelchair. I heard on the phone that they were extremely overwhelmed. The restaurant owner or one of the employees said that a wheelchair would not be a problem at all. There would be “enough” space. They also have a disabled toilet. I very much assume that they understood me at all. Until then everything was clear. So I didn't have to worry about it anymore and that calmed me down. As I then experienced, I was a little too optimistic than I should have been. So when we went there to eat on Saturday (March 24th, 2024), we experienced the second worst, most extreme surprise I have ever experienced about a restaurant. So the restaurant is NOT barrier-free at all. Because if it doesn't say on the door: "CLOSED SOCIETY (even though you made a reservation weeks in advance, mind you!!!) and when you open the door you can see three very high steps, then you are just incredibly disappointed and angry . At least you can take a look at it once you're finally there and at least very disgusted but in a friendly way when the door is opened. But nothing more. But the main thing is to accept something and when you stand in front of the door say that it just doesn't fit and that you should go back out. This is just incredibly disrespectful and rude. We traveled almost 200 km because we wanted to eat here. The result was simply a blatant lie and a rejection at the door due to lack of space and accessibility, which was only guaranteed on the phone. I cannot recommend the restaurant due to the points mentioned above. The food is certainly delicious, but you can certainly find it somewhere else with a lot more space A real shame. The “restaurant” should clearly rethink how it deals with guests, especially those with severe disabilities or who rely on a wheelchair.

- very popular restaurant, you should definitely make a reservation - had the menu for 2 people, came with salad, thin fried dough, rice and four delicious dishes (dal, saag, lamb/chicken curry), was very tasty - Mango Lassi was a generous portion, creamy and fruity, also very tasty - Momos were also very good, especially the tomato sauce with them - Service was cheerful, courteous and friendly - Ambience very cozy Overall, a highly recommended restaurant :)

Very, very attentive and super nice staff! We were there for a birthday dinner in a larger group and we were warmly welcomed and served. The food was very tasty, especially the momos were our highlight! It was a pleasant and cozy atmosphere and we would definitely come back! :)

Insider tip for locals and all tourists! Here you can get a great insight into Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine in a small restaurant with very friendly staff. The selection of dishes is varied and there is something for everyone, especially many vegetarian and vegan options. The food is beautifully presented, everything is clean and it feels familiar. And last but not least, the price is right too. Here you can have a good meal for relatively little money. (I ate there in February 2024 for €22 with a drink, starter and main course). Gladly again 😊

I always come here whenever I am in cologne. Love the food here and the warmth of the owners, very lovely people. My go to is Chicken momo, chicken thukpa, chowmein also love their curry with naan…and yes nepali beer is a must try for experience….

So delicious and authentic. I immediately remembered my trip to Nepal. Momos and Nepali tea as well as the sweet and sour and slightly spicy piro amilo jhol soup. It was simply delicious, I would love to do it again the next time I visit Cologne!!! In my opinion the prices should be increased for these homemade special dishes!

Our usual place was fully booked so we thought to try this, it’s Relatively small restaurant , food really was missing its soul and it was basic. Service was the huge turn off, staff member who took orders was constantly coughing through the evening.

Leider für mich nicht so gut wie durch die vielen positiven Bewertungen erhofft. Ich hatte in Kichererbsenmehl frittierten Blumenkohl und ein "scharfes" Curry. Beides war sehr zurückhaltend gewürzt (das scharfe Curry noch nicht mal annähernd scharf) und etwas salzig. Das Hühnerfleisch war auch eher zäh. Normalerweise eher 2 Sterne den 3. gibt es für die freundliche Bedienung.

Es ist hier sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir haben zu fünft einen Platz reserviert und einen sehr geräumigen Tisch bekommen. Die Portionen waren mittelgroß. Nicht zu klein, ich wurde satt. Und ich kann gut essen. Also insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Toiletten sind alt, nicht renoviert, und kalt.

A gem in a highly touristic area of Cologne! The food is authentic, delicious and self made (we watched a Lady stuff like 100 Momos in the kitchen while we spent 30mins digesting at the end of the dinner). The decor is heartwarming and the service super kind. Many vegan and vegetarian options! We shared vegan steamed Momos and should have shared the main afterwords as 2 small ladies 😅. The Dal and Kwati with garlic Naan. Both dishes were amazing!

Sehr leckeres essen im traditionellen einrichtungs stil. Als vorspeise bestellten wir eine Vorspeisen Platte die an Pakora Gemüse aus Indien erinnert. Die Momos mit Huhn waren sehr lecker und wurden mit zwei sehr gut passenden Dips serviert. als Hauptgericht: Kukhura Mitho & Paneer Masala gingen für mich in eine richtung zwischen Indien und China. Ich kann nur empfehlen mal eine Reise in ein anderes geschmackliches Land zu wagen, um es zu Kosten. Sehr lecker und gerne wieder 🤤 Glg an das ganze Team *Top* *Pakora nicht auf den bildern wegen hunger 😂

A quite great place to eat nepal food. During lunch time you can either order from the menu or eat in a canteen style choice of several fishes to make your own plate.

Best meal I've had in Köln!! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys very good food, great selection, and an excellent atmosphere and staff! The crispy duck, steamed dumplings, and lamb curry were sensational!!

A small Nepali restaurant on busy corner in Köln that is 5-10 mins walking from the Dom. The restaurant is tiny with limited seats hence pre-booking is recommended. I normally go there to eat steamed momos (served with nice spicy chutney) which are really authentic and delicious! The people are really friendly and nice. With limited staff, the service is slow but the ambience is great!

There's nothing you cannot like here..We ordered food for 2 peeps. Steamed & fried momos, and noodles. I loved the fried momos.

Food was best with good portion, taste was like home. Brother and sister were very friendly if I get chance agina to be Cologne love to back again .

Jammergenoeg stond onze reservatie niet genoteerd ook al hadden we bevestiging op mail. Ze bleven maar verwonderd en kwamen meermaals navragen. We namen 4 voorgerechten waarvan de pakora met kip en met bloemkool lekker waren, de andere 2 hadden minder smaak. Het hoofdgerecht bestaande uit diverse curry’s met lam en kip waren lekker. Helaas kan je er als buitenlander niet betalen met kaart en moesten we naar de bankautomaat gaan wat een domper op het gebeuren zette.

Don't judge by my pictures, but the food was great and the service was even better!! The place is really nice and cozy and the people are so friendly and welcoming that they make you feel like home. If all Nepalis are like this, I really need to go to Nepal!

Sehr leckere Dumplings mit Dips

Sehr freundlich und Gerichte sehr lecker.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Nur zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente und das Personal war stets freundlich und kompetent.

Auf dem Weg in mein Hotel habe ich dieses Restaurant entdeckt und dachte mir da könnte man mal essen gehen da ich schon öfters in einem tibetanischen Restaurant war. Also für servierte ich für samstagabend einen Tisch und war sehr neugierig. Es war schon sehr voll im Restaurant und ich bestellte mir eine Flasche Himalaya Wein und als Vorspeise Geflügel-Gemüse Bällchen. Als Hauptspeise dann Lammcurry mit Reis.. von der Menge her war die Vorspeise sehr gut die Hauptspeise war etwas sehr übersichtlich aber vom Geschmack her sehr lecker. Als absacker bestellte ich mir dann auch einen typisch tibetanischen Schnaps welche es richtig in sich hatte... Vom Ambiente her war super gemütlich es waren viele Familien und Gruppen vor Ort und der Service war gut.

Ich habe diese Küche zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben probiert. Das Restaurant selbst war klein, aber interessant. Überall gibt es einige Figuren, Masken usw. Das Essen ist lecker. „Momos“ hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sie ähneln unseren ukrainischen Knödeln :D & die Kellnerin war sehr nett.

Wir haben die vegetarischen Momos bestellt, die frisch zubereitet wurden und super lecker waren. Das Restaurant ist familiär geführt, was sich in einem sehr zuvorkommenden, freundlichen Service zeigte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder.

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen wollte ich schon lange herkommen, letztendlich war ich dann ziemlich enttäuscht. Der Mann, der uns bediente, wirkte unorganisiert und etwas durcheinander. Man hat ihn schlecht verstanden (oder auch anders herum) und die Wartezeiten auf alles waren eher lang. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht „mind blowing“ und auch für Kölner Verhältnisse eher teuer. Ich würde nicht nochmal wiederkommen.

Sehr authentisch und wohlschmeckend. Sehr freundliches Wirtspaar. Wir hatten die Vorspeisenplatte.

Ich kann die sehr guten Bewertungen gar nicht nachvollziehen. Wir kamen dort an und haben uns für Buffet entschieden. Das war Überschau, was aber ok gewesen wäre, wenn dafür die Qualität stimmt. Beim Salat fehlte Besteck. Was ich kann Chat nicht schön fand war, dass an keinem Gericht eine Info war, was das überhaupt ist. Da standen Saucen und keiner wusste was das für Saucen sind. Genauso war es bei den Speisen. Als wir mit Essen fertig waren, suchten wir den Nachtisch. Da wir diesen nicht gefunden haben, fragten wir nach. Man brachte uns einen Joghurt mit Mandeln, ohne zu wissen, was es überhaupt ist. Als Allergiker ganz schön gefährlich.

The food was excellent!! Everything we had was spiced according to our request. The momos we had wete very good, the skin was thin and crispy (fried momos) and the filling was quite generous. All the condiments went well with the dishes. Veg Chowmein was very filling (plenty of vegetables sautéed) and delicious and so was the Aloo roll I had. Although the prices seem a bit on the expensive side the quantity justifies it. The staff were very friendly and nice to us. Highly recommend going and trying out this Nepalese restaurant, you won't regret it

Wir sind mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern, unter der Woche und am frühen Abend zum Essen eingekehrt. Der Service war durchweg freundlich und wir hatten auch keine langen Wartezeiten. Dies insbesondere im Hinblick darauf, dass wir diverse Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte bestellt hatten. Jeder sollte alles probieren können, so dass wir alle Gerichte gleichzeitig kommen ließen. Es hat wirklich alles köstlich geschmeckt und der Preis war in Summe für die Anzahl der Getränke und Speisen, absolut in Ordnung. Wenn selbst die Kinder alles lecker fanden, spricht das schon Bände. Kleiner Wermutstropfen war nur, dass das Bier nicht richtig kalt war und dass es in dem kleinen Raum (auf Grund der heftigen Aussentemperaturen), doch sehr warm und stickig war. Es wurden aber umgehend Ventilatoren angestellt als wir saßen, die das ganze deutlich verbesserten. ....nur das Bier konnten die Ventilatoren leider auch nicht kühlen 😄 In Summe aber auf jeden Fall eine klare Empfehlung von mir.

Das essen war sehr lecker. Der Kellner hat jeden Spaß mit gemacht und war mega korrekt drauf. Ich kann dieses Restaurant sehr weiter empfehlen. Wir hatten da drinn sehr viel spaß. Die Momos waren sehr genieß bar und weiter zun empfehlen für den kleinen Hunger.

Tolles leckeres Essen, sowohl Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte, u.a. Chana Tarkari und Dal haben uns überzeugt. Sehr freundlicher Umgang, unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Service war gut. Es war aber auch wenig los. Ich war unzufrieden mit den Getränken hatte eine Cola leider nicht in einer kleinen Flasche serviert sondern direkt aus dem Glas. Ohne Zitrone oder eins und mit einem niedrigen Kohlensäure Anteil. Das Essen an sich war ok aber es hat definitiv an wow effect gefehlt hätte man so auch beim lieferdienst bekommen.

Fantastisches, authentisches nepalesisches Essen im Herzen von Köln. Uns wurde dieses Lokal in Kathmandu empfohlen (!) als wir erzählten, wir kämen von Köln. Und die Empfehlung ist absolut gut! Das Essen ist immer super lecker. Die Momos ein Gedicht. Wir gehen manchmal nur deswegen hin. Aber auch alle anderen Gerichte waren bisher köstlich. Allerdings muss man häufig Zeit mitbringen, da alles frisch zubereitet wird und wenn mehr los ist, dauert es halt entsprechend. Die Einrichtung ist sehr passend und mit der Musik und den entsprechenden Getränken fühlt man sich nach Nepal versetzt. Im Raum kann es allerdings echt ganz schön warm sein. Ein wirklich nettes, familiengeführtes Restaurant mit authentischer Küche.
