Unfriendly wait for food for over an hour. Not recommended.

Very unfriendly, food not recommended, we won't be back!

Given the location and frequency, the alpine gastronomy is a big disappointment now in October 2024. The unfriendly two innkeepers and the pea soup, which is not recognizable as such, cannot be topped in a negative sense, goulash soup and the stale mineral water go well with it. Then it's better to eat at the stop at the middle station of the cable car or the summit house, W.Schneider/Prien

Rarely have we seen such a rustic hut as this one. We immediately sat together with the two operators Christoph & Stefan as if we had known each other for a long time 😉. If you go 2, 300m further you have a breathtaking view of Lake Chiemsee, just awesome...we'll be back...greetings! Beda, Isi, Susi, TommyM&Family

We were guests at the Bründling mountain restaurant and ordered a twice-sized spaetzle with sauce. The salesman seemed to be intellectually overwhelmed by the idea of ​​a taller person and said: "We're not even starting with that." To the customers after us who expressed the same request, he said: "very exceptionally." An extremely unfriendly, incompetent person at the checkout. Now we ordered a normal portion and got exactly the same amount! Only half as expensive! The normal portion took so extraordinarily long that we could have walked up the mountain again. The spaetzle was not worthy of the name, it was a white, sticky lump that tasted like nothing. The self-service system is very tedious and complicated, with machines beeping and then gradually giving you portions of your food. There was only one toilet and there was a huge queue. The seller was probably satisfied that everyone who had to go to the toilet was probably out of luck, as the store was unfortunately very busy. After complaining, the chef claimed that he had added too much to the simple portion. We then graciously got €5 back even though a portion costs €6.90. When the next complaint came in, the seller grumbled a bit: “Homemade spaetzle, you always have to be so greedy.” In addition, it has to be said that the house charges a €5 deposit for a glass. Additionally, there was almost no food available.

Fascinating how different we humans are...I met three sociable and committed hosts. The view is a dream. The food was surprisingly great: the homemade dumplings and the fresh Kaiserschmarrn - which for me immediately became the best ever!! Yes, I also think the prices are high - but: we are on a mountain and so for me they are understandable and deserved. Thank you for the hearty and fun evening yesterday and see you next year

1 star is way too much. Absolutely cheeky and unfriendly innkeeper at the bar. The waiter at the food counter was also unfriendly, annoyed and completely overwhelmed. We were there on October 16th, 2024 and it was definitely the first and last time there. The prices are completely overpriced for self-service and the food is definitely not worth the price. It's best to walk to the Bachschmied Kaser Alm. Very, very friendly and helpful team. Very tasty food and an excellent ambience.

Shocking! The bar waiter is so rude and insulting that your mouth falls open. It's not possible to react so rudely and aggressively to simple and polite questions. It was enough for me, even the most beautiful view is of no use! Shocked and upset by so much meanness, I went to a smaller pasture further down. As you can see in the reviews, this is not an isolated case. Never again!!!

Nice alpine pasture to stop off, price performance is okay.

During a nice hike we took a break at the Bründling-Alm, which we knew from before (different landlord back then). Self-service would not have been an issue. Drinks were prepared quickly and we were able to take them straight from the counter. When paying, the landlord kept the tip without being asked. A little surprised, I asked again how much I had invoiced and what I had given. The innkeeper then confirmed the two sums and then said: “That’s right, or is it?” I was perplexed and (unfortunately) agreed. This audacity has an unpleasant aftertaste. If I had been less perplexed, I wouldn't have agreed. The food was OK. The Kaiserschmarrn portion was very small. I will avoid this Alm in the future.

Rustic alpine pasture with friendly hospitality. Ideal as a stopover on the way up the Hochfelln or down the mountain.

The landlord is rude and unfriendly. The outdoor areas/outdoor seating are very sober, the prices are very expensive despite being completely self-service, and the portions are small. Overall not very inviting, left quickly.

Super nice hut owners. Went on a hiking trip with work and had booked an overnight stay. The catering was very good and the roast pork, dumplings and especially the coleslaw were a poem. 😋

Great place to stay overnight on the way to the summit. The extensive snack and the lovely exchange with the innkeeper were great. We'll be back!

Kaiserschmarrn was quite ok and was delivered quickly. Very nice view and you can watch the paragliding athletes directly from the site. Beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee and the beautiful mountain ranges.

Very nice location with the best view. Host who takes orders, serves them, collects cash and unloads the dishwasher at the same time. Leads to endless queues. In addition, he asks for the tip himself for zero service (self-service), but you have to wait in line for over half an hour to order yourself. The waiting time for a simple meal is also unreasonably long. And sorry, worst Kaiserschmarrn ever. A ton of powdered sugar is no use.

Very great up here. You have a good view while you eat, and the cows keep you company. The buttermilk was delicious and the staff was quite friendly too. There are only a lot of wasps here!

A certain barbarism in the service may seem Bavarian-charming, but here it is clearly too much. Especially since aggressively demanding tips ("I make a living from it, I don't own the place") may not really fit with moldy bottle labels and cockroaches in the toilet. Or just now. Admittedly, the Kaiserschmarrn and the view are still great, which is why we always enjoyed coming here regularly. Well probably not anymore.

A visit to the Bründling Alm is definitely worth it. There you can enjoy delicious snacks on the way up to Hochfelln with a wonderful view. Or if you don't want to go all the way to the top, you can just hike a little further up, where there is also a "small summit cross".

Came here at the end of a tour in the Venedigergruppe in Osttirol. Unfortunately dishonest claims on their website and booking information led to some unpleasant surprises. First small surprise was that despite the claim that there is a parking place 15-20 min away ("P Talstation Seilbahn Bergen ab Mittelstation ca. 15-20 Min"), this road is inaccessible, and you have to take the 40 min walk from the Steinberg Alm Parkplatz. No problem, whats another km or so, but still incorrect info. Second surprise was that there is no possibility for bath or shower, despite the clear claim on the website that "Die Alm verfügt gegen Aufpreis über eine Duschmöglichkeit. Diese ist nach Beendigung sauber und trocken zu hinterlassen.", and in the booking information (in a weird, rambling 3-page PDF file) as "Gemeinschaftsbad". So, we ordered dinner (food is good), and then told the host (a crotchety old man) that we would pay the food and go stay elsewhere. He then started yelling and cursing at us, claiming that "it's all on the website". In the end his workers tried to smooth the matter over, and they were very friendly about it, but they still maintained the above falsehoods. We did stay in the end as it was around 8 pm at that point, and could wash using cold water from a broken watering pot and a brief soak in the unheated sauna filled with days-old rainwater (which they "graciously" provided, although on the website it also says "HotPot & Sauna Nutzung auf Anfrage"). Strangely, the coworkers claimed that they also don't shower, as to defend this? Please take a shower if you are going to be preparing or handling food. Otherwise, the place is pretty disordered, and some basic cleaning and organization would greatly improve it. I am told the women's restroom is clean, but the men's was disgusting (and contains a dismantled shower). I can highly recommend the place to those unconcerned with personal hygiene.

Mega great Alm. Super great location. 10 girls were there for a whole weekend. We were served extremely well by the three great men. The food was really good, everyone was super friendly, had a lot of fun. Hot tub booked. Was a very good decision. First to cool down and then to warm up in the evening. This Alm is highly recommended.

After the descent from the Hochfelln summit, some refreshment was in order. We had Kasspatz'n (cheese spaetzle) and a bacon board... both were excellent and homemade. The spaetzle alone was hard to beat in terms of freshness and melting, fluffy, tender and simply outstanding. The blackcurrant spritzer provided additional moments of enjoyment as it also tasted homemade and fresh. The home-made Zirbenlikör (liqueur made from pine cones and seeds) also tasted excellent if you love the woody, resinous taste. As a dessert, the homemade sour cream cake was just as enjoyable as the fresh dairyman's salad or the thinly sliced ​​bacon or homemade mountain cheese. All in all - Bründling-Alm, once again we were not disappointed and really enjoyed our stay. Our expectations were completely fulfilled - this is how we imagine a snack in an alpine hut. Small, fine home-made dishes, instead of restaurants with typical dishes from the system kitchen.

Very nice place to rest. Unimaginably, you can pay by card here. Class. Food was great, snacks and Kaiserschmarrn. The way to the middle station of the cable car was then only 15 minutes. A real recommendation.

Cozy, original alpine hut - good food - and great views. Ideal as a stopover before climbing the Hochfelln. Just below - approx. 500 m - is the intermediate station of the mountain railway, which you can also take up to the summit

Great view and beautiful location. However, expensive even by alpine standards. The 6.90 euro portion of spaetzle with sauce was far too small. No child would have been fed up with it. So it's a shame that it's so overpriced. However, beer prices are good.

Rustic alpine pasture with friendly hosts and nice snacks. They just can't do Kaiserscharrn. It was more of a cake, very dry and tasted like coconut.

The Bründling Alm is within walking distance in approx. 20 minutes. from the middle station of the Hochfelln Bahn. The panorama is great, the menu offers all kinds of regional dishes. The alpine pasture is self-service, the snack board was fine, but we have seen better ones. The service was rather unfriendly, so I was shouted at, which is why I didn't think about what I wanted to eat beforehand, after all there were menus on the tables. Unfortunately, since we didn't have a menu, we couldn't know that. In the future we will go to more remote mountain pastures again; everything seems to be a little more relaxed there.

You don't really feel welcome here. The food wasn't convincing either. Alpine cuisine is something different!

A harsh tone of the hut landlord spoils the fun in this beautifully situated alpine hut. The staffing capacity is not designed for a mass rush like last weekend. The price-performance ratio for the food is not right. Small portions, sausage salad is too salty and the broth of the Kasspressknödel soup doesn't taste homemade. Conclusion: We won't be coming back.

Very nice view, but otherwise not recommended. Everything unkempt and dirty. The boss was very unfriendly and chaotic. But it is expensive. This is certainly not Bavarian hospitality.

Anyone who complains here doesn't understand how a Bavarian alpine pasture works. The operators are kind-hearted people. 🥰 I spent the night up here alone and felt incredibly well looked after. The operators are Bavarian sober, which is also appropriate for the mass of people who come every day. You first have to deliver this sleep number in a day. So hats off! I felt really comfortable and would love to come back. To boys who offer Bavarian jokes and always have a casual saying on their lips. We were here a year ago and the visit was ok. The coffee was delicious, but the friendliness of the staff/innkeeper was, I would say, a lot of room for improvement. As a guest, you don't really feel welcome when simple questions (e.g. how to go to the toilet) are pointed out sloppily on posted signs. Normally I don't really write reviews and especially not bad ones. But I consider it bad form for the Bründlingalm to cast doubt on existing negative reviews and to question a business relationship. Dear Bründlingalm, just improve your service and you'll get positive reviews on Google again.

Warning about this Alm, the outrageous prices and the unfriendly landlord. We paid €31 for 2 cheese dumpling soups and 2 non-alcoholic wheat beers. And that with self-service!! When we asked how much the soups actually cost, as the prices on the menu were very confusing, the host replied that he didn't know!!!! But he cashed in... We hoped that the soup would at least be plentiful and good, but after 30 minutes of waiting, 2 completely over-seasoned soups arrived, each with 1 soggy cheese dumpling. As a guest you really feel vera…. Never again!!! At the middle station and up at Hochfelln you pay significantly less for better food.

Very nice alpine hut in a beautiful location and super nice hosts. The cheese fondue is highly recommended. Good start for hikes in the surrounding area. Thank you and gladly again...

Unfortunately there is only 1 out of 5 stars. The staff is unfriendly. The sound plays the music here. The bottom of the cake was completely burnt. The cheese was already hard on the edges. Sorry, but that's the price. We won't be coming back again.

It's just sad how much a former top alpine pasture can be negatively changed by unfriendly innkeepers. After the change of operator, we were at the Bründlingalm three more times and each time was a disaster in terms of hospitality. Never again! Then it's better to stop a few meters beforehand.

Käsebrett mit Brot und Zwiebeln 🔝 und von Muttern gebackener Stollen 😋. ...nicht zu vergessen der Steckerlfisch im Sommer über offenem Feuer gegart mit Kartoffelsalat auf einer Alm die ihren Namen verdient mit schönem Rundumblick. 🥰

DEr Ort ist schön, die Hütte gemütlich, der Service ok DAs Essen war eine Katastrophe: Die Gemüsesuppe war sauer, wahrscheinlich verdorben, da wir danach Verdauungsprobleme hatten (nett ausgedrückt). Die Käsespatzen waren lieblos und viel zu weich. Schade!

Wir waren gestern auf der Bründling Alm, super Ausblick, schöne Lage. Wir haben uns zum Essen eine Gulaschsuppe und 2 x den Bründling Eintopf sowie einen Knödel mit Soße bestellt. Was soll ich sagen, es war eigentlich ungenießbar, wir hatten Hunger und haben doch noch etwas gegessen… wie sogt ma so schee in Bayern, da Hunga reissts scho eine… Die Gulaschssuppn total wassrig, de Kartoffeln total die komische Konsistenz wie schon mal eingefroren und zu Schnell wieder aufgetaut. Der Bründling Eintopf, ein Graus, es war Wasser mit verkochtem Gemüse und einem brockerl Fleisch, (angeblich wie Pichelsteiner), hat geschmeckt wie gestreckt ohne nachwürzen…. der Semmelknödel eine Konsistenz wie ein Kartoffelknödl, die Soße irgendwie Essigsauer, für ein Kind eher nix gewesen. Ich hoffe es war einfach dem letzten Wochenende vorm Betriebsurlaub geschuldet… aber sowas geht gar nicht, man muss auch probieren was man rausgibt…. Sorry

Wer unfreundliche Wirte sehen will sollte unbedingt hierher. Wer nicht sollte vielleicht 300 Meter weiter unten einkehren. 2 Sterne nur weil der Kaffee warm und genießbar war.

Stopped at the alm during our hike up Hochfelln for brotzeit and a cold drink. Fresh mountain cheese and meat. Great for people who forgot there lunch or just want something extra along the way! Nice views, with friendly nearby cows!

Schöne Alm, tolle Lage unter dem Hochfelln. Leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen von der Steinberg Alm (Parkplatz 3€). Nette Wirte, leckeres Bier. Wir haben da Musik gemacht und hatten a Mords-Gaudi. Jeden letzten Freitag im Monat ist Musikantentreffen.

Schöne Alm tolle Aussicht. Essen sehr gut schön angeichtet Der Wirt sollte zu seinen Gästen freundlicher sein. Die Gäste bringen ihm das Geld.

Es ist eine urige Almhütte in wunderschöner Lage. Das Essen ist gut und preiswert.

Grandiose Aussicht!!! Sind mit der Gondel hoch und die Aussicht während der Fahrt war schon fantastisch. Oben angekommen ist man sichtlich beeindruckt von dem Panorama. Die Alm: Na ja. Abgesehen davon, dass ich eine knappe halbe Stunde anstehen musste, um 2 Getränke zu bekommen, was seitens der Betreiber mit Personalmangel entschuldigt wurde, sieht es innen nicht gerade einladend aus. Sehr chaotisch. Und dann die Toilette: Eine war total besch...., bin rückwärts wieder 'raus, die andere habe ich mir dann verkniffen. Waren beide auch ein sogenanntes Plumpsklo, wobei das wahrscheinlich an der Lage liegt. Bin dann in der Talstation zum WC gegangen. Lage top, Location flop.

Einfache, aber gute Berghütte. Die Zimmer und das Bettenlager sind einfach, aber sauber. Die Betten sind etwas durchgelegen. Für eine Nacht okay. Das Essen, wir hatten Brotzeitpatte und Schweinebraten, waren lecker.

Gemütliche Almhütte in sehr schöner Umgebung. Wir haben nicht übernachtet, nurgegessenundgetrunken. Klasse Kaiserschmarrn.

Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Essen.
