Bründling Alm BergGasthof auf 1.167m Hochfelln/Chiemgau in Bergen

Absolute Enttäuschung. Wenn man nach einer Wanderung die Einkehr in eine Alm mit gutem Essen als Stärkung mag, ist man hier leider falsch. Wir hatten zwei Brotzeitteller á 15€ pro Person. Die Portion war nicht nur klein und lieblos hergerichtet, sondern das Brot auch sehr trocken und alles andere als frisch. Sehr schade und von unserer Seite alles andere als eine Empfehlung. Käse und Wurst schmecken wie verpackte Ware aus dem Discounter. Für deutlich weniger Geld haben wir auf so vielen tollen anderen Almen schon so viel bessere Brotzeiten bekommen. Dank der Anbindung durch die Seilbahn wohl leider eine Touristenfalle, wo Qualität keine Rolle mehr spielt. (09.08.2026)

Schlechter Service!!! Wir hatten einen schlechtgelaunten Almbetreiber der von Kundenservice noch nie was gehört hat. Die Krönung waren dann kleine Tierchen im Schweizer Wurstsalat. Also wir es angesprochen haben und es zurück gegeben haben, würde uns das Geld auf den Tisch geknallt und das war's. Wir bekamen kein neues Essen und das nach einer halben Stunde anstehen und anschließender Wartezeit. Unsere Kinder waren einfach nur traurig. Der Ausflug auf den Hochfelln war somit sehr enttäuschend für uns.

Genau das Richtige nach dem Abstieg bei über 30 Grad, ein paar kühle Getränke. Der Service ist nett und hat den typischen Almcharme. Das Essen war sehr lecker und lange warten mussten wir auch nicht.

Tolle Einkehr. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir sind extrem enttäuscht! Zwei Brotzeitteller mit zwei Radler für 40€!!! Die Portionen waren ein Witz, das Brot ALLES andere als frisch und qualitativ einfach nicht in Ordnung. Das Geld definitiv nicht wert. Weiter unten die alm war leider geschlossen, dort kehren wir sonst immer ein. Eine absolute Ausnahme heute hier herzugehen. Der Wirt reagiert auch nicht auf Freundlichkeit , kein Lächeln , kein bitte , kein Danke. Selbstbedienung ok, aber nicht für den Preis. Nicht einmal Bretter zum Schmieren haben wir bekommen zur Brotzeit. Bleibt bloß fern!

Schön gelegene Alm, sehr gute Speisen. Die Erbsensuppe mit Wüstl und der Kaiserschmarrn waren super lecker 😋. Die Alm ist auf dem Wanderweg 🥾leicht zu erreichen.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht, was aus der Bründlingalm geworden ist. Bereits um 15 Uhr war angeblich fast alles an Essen aus. Netterweise bekamen wir dann doch noch einen Kaiserschmarrn. Danach wurde aber sofort das Fenster geschlossen, damit ja niemand auf die Idee kommt, noch etwas zu wollen. Der Kaiserschmarrn hat noch ganz viel Luft nach oben. Er schmeckte eher nach Fertigteig. Der Chef ist sehr unfreundlich 😖

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal

Wir waren heute bei unserer Wanderung auf der alm und haben etwas gegessen. Ich hatte den Schweizer Wurstsalat für 12,90€ Ich habe noch nie so einen üblen Wurstsalat gegessen so etwas kann Mann nicht mit Worten beschreiben. Aber das Personal war freundlich! Die Wiener Mund die Pommes waren auch gut

Schön gelegen. Haben nur was getrunken, daher kann ich zum Essen nichts sagen.

Wichtige Informationen anschreiben damit die Gäste bescheid wissen und nicht meckern wenn man fragt!! Keiner kann es vorher wissen das hier im April nur die Speisekarte "Winter" gilt...! Den Weg kann man sich sparen und gleich bei der Wirtschaft bei der Mittelstation einkehren, ist tausendmal besser vom Service und essen her, Spielplatz ist auch dabei.

Für 2 einfache Suppen keine XXL Suppe 20,20€ gezahlt total gestreckt mit Wasser, kaum Geschmack und Wiener waren keine Wiener, die auch schon zu lange in der Suppe lagen und somit auch keinen Geschmack mehr hatten . Hütten Wirte gehören unterstützt aber da werden wir nichts mehr essen. Vielleicht auch weniger Schnick Schnack beim servieren der Speisen und Getränke. Bin ja nicht in einem 5 Sterne Hotel.

A completely unfriendly welcome from the likely owner. We left immediately. Prices were also very high (according to the notice board).

The hut's location is beautiful, and the staff was reasonably friendly. But the diluted goulash soup, the alpine chili with crushed tomatoes, and finally a beer that tasted strange and was all exorbitantly priced will make us skip it next time.

We stopped here during a hike. I enjoyed the sausage salad on the terrace, which was delicious. The prices are still reasonable.

Restaurant like a youth hostel Prices like in Davos. We were annoyed that we didn't eat up at the Hochfelln Hut. There, the price and quality were right.

Self-service, you pick up drinks directly at the bar and receive a teaser for the food. A beautiful sun terrace with a view. The alpine hut is located about 15-20 minutes above the Hochfelln mid-station.

I've been here for the third time now and was just as impressed as the first time. The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the staff was fantastic. I'd love to go back :)

We arrived at the alpine pasture in the afternoon and were informed that only drinks were being served and the kitchen had already closed. This was incomprehensible to us, as they offer not only lunch but also Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) and cake, which certainly entices some people to stop by in the afternoon after their hike. A "final" Kaiserschmarrn was finally made for us, and it was delicious. Whether it was worth the €14, given the self-service menu and the rather unfriendly staff, remains questionable. It's a shame, because it's actually an alpine pasture with an ideal location.

Very nice location with a children's playground. Unfortunately, the staff was not very friendly and the prices were very overpriced. Their website states: "Hot food served continuously from 11 a.m." At 2 p.m., we were told the kitchen was closed.

We walked up from the summit and heard awesome live music from afar. We ate roast pork and cheese spaetzle with salad. The portions were super delicious and generous. Friendly people everywhere on the mountain and in the valley.

Unfortunately, the host was clearly lacking in hospitality. The food was average, but the lack of warmth in the service was very disappointing. Based on this experience, we definitely wouldn't go there again.

Today, after a bike tour, we visited this alpine hut. The location and view were wonderful. Prices a bit high, but just about OK. We were served a snack, but there were also hot meals available (soup, currywurst, etc.). Accessible for hikers and bikers, but somewhat geared toward tourists and the masses. Plenty of space, and they were friendly to us, too.

Years ago, I gave a 3-star rating without actually writing a review. Now, suddenly, this review was deleted for alleged "defamation." My inquiries regarding this matter were not answered.

Great Alm, super panoramic view, the Alm fries are super

No hospitality at all. No food available at 1 p.m. in the perfect weather and during a church service in the mountains - completely overwhelmed staff at the cash register. 30 minutes of waiting in line for only overpriced snack boards or a 1.5-hour wait for currywurst. At least they didn't run out of beer.

Ate delicious goulash soup. The Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) was okay, but I've had better. The staff was friendly and nice.

Unfortunately, since the new owners took over, I can no longer recommend it. Very expensive, very small portions, and an unfriendly person ordering. The taste wasn't bad, though. Udo's used to be packed and the atmosphere was great, but now it's almost empty.

While hiking we stopped at the Bründling Alm, which we can only recommend. Very rustic Alm, large beer garden, top food and drinks.

A lovely alpine hut with a great view and super delicious food. Beware, however, of the very harsh tone up there. The elderly host is very unfriendly, and you really have to be prepared for such a harsh, grumpy attitude. Otherwise, hope for other staff or just move on.

Not recommended, they are completely overwhelmed when the weather is nice, the food ran out by 2 p.m. and the wait for Kaiserschmarn was an hour.

The worst part – you wait over 15 minutes to order. During that time, seven drinks were poured for two different guests! The spaetzle took another 30 minutes. They were watery and inedible. This is a total tourist rip-off! The hut was only one-third full.

Absolutely not recommended!!! No service, instead, they shout around in a commanding tone, asking which number of meals is ready. You also have to clear the food yourself, and then sort the dishes and cutlery. Dirty plates next to plates, glasses next to glasses...etc... The damn pager beeping that the food is ready to be picked up is also really annoying. The quality of the food doesn't match the high price either. I can only recommend you go to the next alpine hut or cabin; it definitely can't get any worse!

If you want a military-like command tone, this is the place for you. Unfriendly, stressed, annoyed, complaining that the colleague below is closed and we all arrive at the same time and also want service. I travel to many alpine pastures, and I've been there twice now, and both times I've been disappointed, and I'll never go back. I gave the dairyman another chance today, but the way he treats people and the outrageous prices for dry bread at the snack bar. I wanted to give my guests an experience twice, and twice we received an unfriendly and unprofessional welcome. Unfortunately, the Bachschmidkaser Alm was closed on both visits. Because you get a warm welcome there, the value for money is good, and you can also get a typical snack and good cakes. But what goes on up there is just crazy. Outrageous prices, you wait in line forever and then have to go back to your seat until your number is called, which they then call out persistently like in the army, and if you don't respond immediately, you just put the items on the table in front of the cash register. Then you're supposed to bring all the dishes back and sort them, and all at such high prices. Many people complained today about the service and the food. He just has the advantage of having the cable car pushing tourists to him. A normal alpine pasture like the ones I know wouldn't have had any customers long ago. Just signs with instructions telling guests what to do. Put the glasses here, the cutlery here, and no one is allowed to use the bathroom if they're just passing through, and the bread basket here, so you don't need that. No thanks, I'd rather spend my money at local alpine pastures that value their customers and where you feel comfortable. Then he offers Kaiserschmarrn, but he can't make that today because it's too busy. A typical alpine pasture snack is Leberkäse (meatloaf) cold cuts, and it should have bacon and cheese on it. What does a currywurst with fries have to do with an alpine pasture? It doesn't exist; nobody needs it there. So, my personal experience is, take a snack with you when you go up there; nobody needs what goes on there. There's so much potential for this alpine hut, but it's always getting its tourists. If there were negative ratings, it would have received them from me. They just rip you off and serve you extremely unfriendly. We've seen many people leave that in their reviews, but apparently, he hasn't learned from them.

So - if you like old bread, old sausage! (Brotzeit) and like to pay 15 euros, then go for it. Nice place and lovely hosts, the food is plain bad and extremely overpriced. We were there today, it's a really great location, but €40 for two shandys and two Brotzeit is a bit ambitious. When the Brotzeit consists of old, hard bread, sliced ​​(and not fresh-smelling!) Leberkäse, four pretzel sticks, and three slices of cheese from a packet, I don't think it's that great value for money.

Yes, we can highly recommend the alpine pasture any time of year. The entire team is very friendly, always open to questions and helpful. The rooms are just as they were 100 years ago and more; very comfortable and clean; we really liked that. The location of the alpine pasture invites you to relax and dream. We really enjoyed the food; we particularly like the fact that all dishes are always freshly prepared. Dogs are also very welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the alpine pasture. Thank you for the wonderful time with you, dear Stephan and Christoph, as well as our Tina and the rest of the team.

Don't believe everything!! After so many bad reviews, we spontaneously decided to visit the Bründling Alm anyway. When we arrived there, we were greeted very *friendly and warm* by two men (the bosses) and a woman. Even though we were there before the official opening time, we were allowed to order our first drinks. After we'd finished our drinks, we set off again. An hour later (at lunchtime), we arrived back at the Alm. This time, too, we received a friendly welcome. Yes, the Alm is self-service, but what's the problem? The drinks are chilled, the food was very tasty and plentiful. We got it quickly, even though it was quite busy. The price is debatable; anyone who has been to alpine pastures several times this year, such as in Austria, can tell you where it's cheap or expensive. 😜😂 We didn't find clearing up ourselves a problem or annoying. (You have to do that at McDonald's or amusement parks too. 😂😉) In any case, we (5 adults, 1 child, and 1 dog) have decided to come back soon. Best regards, Stoffal

Unfortunately, one has become old alm

We stayed at the alpine pasture for two nights to hike. Generally, everything was clean, the people were friendly, and, above all, the food and drinks were delicious. The cook was particularly friendly and motivated, which was evident in the food! Water bottles were refilled daily before the hike began. The homemade elderberry syrup and the homemade cheesecake are highly recommended. We had beds in different rooms and in the dormitory. I highly recommend it! Please note, however, that despite running water in the restrooms, there are currently no showers.

A lovely stopover for hikes in the area. The view is wonderful, and there are plenty of shady spots to rest. The prices aren't cheap (as is probably the case at any alpine pasture), so I'd recommend buying supplements rather than full board here. If relevant: the Kaiserschmarrn was apparently made with semolina. I thought it was OK, but opinions vary. You might want to ask beforehand.

Terrible and unfriendly service.

Beautiful location, easy to reach. Nice interior/ambience. Very clean. Very friendly staff. The beds were very saggy and the pillows terrible, so we slept badly. We were told breakfast would start at 8:30 a.m., but the small buffet had already been eaten by the other overnight group. Everything was replenished and kindly brought outside so we could sit in front of the hut in the morning sun, but that took some time, which is why we ended up leaving quite late for our mountain hike. Also, there were only slices of black bread for breakfast. Given the breakfast repeatedly advertised as "substantial" on the website, I really would have expected more. No rolls, white bread, or croissants, no yogurt or quark, no cakes or small pastries. Since I can't tolerate black bread, we ordered Kaiserschmarrn for breakfast, for which we had to pay a hefty extra fee. All these negative circumstances surrounding breakfast left a bad impression on me.

This beautifully situated alpine pasture is surrounded by meadows and free-roaming cows. You can enjoy a magnificent view and relax after a hike. We felt very comfortable and have been here several times. The drinks are always well chilled.

We're Bavarian and we'll stay Bavarian. It was beautiful last night, Anne and grandma Sepp down here! And today they're complaining... for the right reason... we'll stay at home.

We were there today around 2 p.m. The owner was unfriendly to all the customers when they were ordering, and the food service wasn't any better. On top of that, we waited over 20 minutes to order, and in that time, only four people were served drinks. We left. I wouldn't recommend it.

Great view. Small playground for the kids. Unfortunately, the male staff isn't very child-friendly and the waitresses are grumpy. The fries are amazing. Homemade chips, very tasty. Not enough umbrellas...so not suitable for a shady rest. Lots of messy corners that somewhat spoil the otherwise great ambiance.

Positive: Comfortable seating, beautiful views, and the option to pay by card at the hut are very convenient. Contrary: The price-performance ratio isn't right for me. The hut is easily accessible (by car, cable car), and the catering concept is based on self-service (pick up and clear away). In my opinion, the prices are too high and the portions too small (even the children's portions are too small). The quality doesn't compensate for this. I'm aware that everything is generally a bit more expensive at huts, but in my opinion, this is overkill.

I haven't been to the Bründlingalm for a long time and was shocked at how a mountain pasture could be so run down. We had a Swiss sausage salad twice, which was just meatloaf and a homeopathic amount of cheese. And that for over 10 euros. I'm not coming back anymore

I can only agree with the many reviews. The service was really very rude and unfriendly. I was yelled at because I said my order too quickly (2 drinks and 2 food). I only answered his question about what I would like. He also slammed his hand on the table very aggressively. A mass processing of tourists takes place here. The food is also accordingly. There are two stars for the location and the fact that there is even an alpine pasture there.

I have rarely experienced something like this - unacceptable, overpriced and just plain disappointing. Never again.

Were here with the school class and exchange partners, the service was very unfriendly and alcohol was served to minors. In addition, the food wasn't really recommended for the price. Dishes have to be brought away yourself and the pager doesn't work but the number is called.

The host at the counter isn't very friendly, and in our opinion the price/performance ratio isn't right either. Kaiserschmarrn is just average, cheese dumpling soup is super tasty but at 9.80 euros it's way too expensive.

We were visiting with a school class. The service was catastrophic and just plain unfriendly. Despite self-service, the prices for the food/drinks were far too overpriced (small Kaiserschmarren around €13). The Kaiserschmarren wasn't particularly good. Even after eating you had to take away and sort your dishes yourself. No recommendation!

We passed there while hiking with the family without knowing what to expect. Super rustic hut with a lot of charm, very tasty food and lots of views. The landlord is a nice guy who is easy to talk to. Rustic and authentic - in my opinion. He said a lot about the Alm, which seems to have been there for a very long time. The price for food and drink was completely ok for the location on the mountain.

The location and view are truly beautiful, especially when sitting outside. The self-pickup and return concept is straightforward. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding regarding my order—caused by the dialect—I was treated unfriendly by the staff. Nevertheless, the short stay was overall pleasant.

Very very VERY rude staff! Wow!!! We wanted a piece of butter and a slice of bread for our children... we actually didn't get it and the tone in which the Lord told us this... Then we were shouted at Ordered that we should close the door, after all they are heating up... and the 'nice' waiter left the door open... So that was really underground.

Given the location and frequency, the alpine gastronomy is a big disappointment now in October 2024. Rarely have we seen such a rustic hut as this one. We immediately sat together with the two operators Christoph & Stefan as if we had known each other for a long time 😉. We were guests at the Bründling mountain restaurant and ordered a twice-sized spaetzle with sauce. The salesman seemed to be intellectually overwhelmed by the idea of ​​a taller person and said: "We're not even starting with that." To the customers after us who expressed the same request, he said: "very exceptionally." An extremely unfriendly, incompetent person at the checkout. Now we ordered a normal portion and got exactly the same amount! Only half as expensive! The normal portion took so extraordinarily long that we could have walked up the mountain again. The spaetzle was not worthy of the name, it was a white, sticky lump that tasted like nothing. The self-service system is very tedious and complicated, with machines beeping and then gradually giving you portions of your food. There was only one toilet and there was a huge queue. The seller was probably satisfied that everyone who had to go to the toilet was probably out of luck, as the store was unfortunately very busy. After complaining, the chef claimed that he had added too much to the simple portion. We then graciously got €5 back even though a portion costs €6.90. When the next complaint came in, the seller grumbled a bit: “Homemade spaetzle, you always have to be so greedy.” In addition, it has to be said that the house charges a €5 deposit for a glass. Additionally, there was almost no food available.

Fascinating how different we humans are...I met three sociable and committed hosts. The view is a dream. The food was surprisingly great: the homemade dumplings and the fresh Kaiserschmarrn - which for me immediately became the best ever!! Yes, I also think the prices are high - but: we are on a mountain and so for me they are understandable and deserved. Thank you for the hearty and fun evening yesterday and see you next year

1 star is way too much. Absolutely cheeky and unfriendly innkeeper at the bar. The waiter at the food counter was also unfriendly, annoyed and completely overwhelmed. We were there on October 16th, 2024 and it was definitely the first and last time there. The prices are completely overpriced for self-service and the food is definitely not worth the price. It's best to walk to the Bachschmied Kaser Alm. Very, very friendly and helpful team. Very tasty food and an excellent ambience.

Shocking! The bar waiter is so rude and insulting that your mouth falls open. It's not possible to react so rudely and aggressively to simple and polite questions. It was enough for me, even the most beautiful view is of no use! Shocked and upset by so much meanness, I went to a smaller pasture further down. As you can see in the reviews, this is not an isolated case. Never again!!!
