Bricco -The Club Restaurant- in Köln

We wanted to celebrate a nice birthday here and would have happily spent a fair amount of money – cocktails, champagne, and food. Apparently, no one else wanted that. There were only a few guests, yet we barely got the staff's attention. They were all glued to their phones behind the bar. We were charged even before the birthday celebrations had officially begun. At midnight, the music was off, the lights were on, and the staff seemed unmotivated. Sorry, that's just unacceptable. The cocktails were tasty (as they should be at those prices). The food was... well, okay, but unfortunately, it wasn't seasoned well. The music was great; we wish it had been better. The restrooms in the basement are not only physically abysmal. They have no doors, offer a clear view of the toilets, are cluttered, and have washing facilities that, sadly, no one seems to care about. In short: all show and no substance. A real shame. With such a cool atmosphere and a great concept, they could have done so much more.

When I walked in, it immediately smelled of rotten eggs and was very stuffy. There's no menu, only a QR code. Then came the shock: €5.50 for a Kölsch. I don't know who was sniffing the sticker, but anything over €3 is outrageous. Especially since you can see that it only cost €2.80 a year ago. The atmosphere is quite cool, the furniture, but the toilet is more show than substance and completely disproportionate to the prices. If you charge premium, you should deliver premium, otherwise you feel ripped off.

I had booked a table a long time ago, but we were put at a table with other people. We didn't like that. The lighting was also uncomfortably bright; we expected a completely different atmosphere. The music was low, and the service was chaotic and not very welcoming. It wasn't a pleasant experience, and we felt uneasy. After a drink and a small snack, we went somewhere else. A real disappointment.

The food isn't bad, but the price-performance ratio isn't right (especially the chili mill, which surprised us given the price). The service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere with the tree and lanterns is nice in itself, if only the dining room weren't so brightly lit.

It looks good, especially on TikTok and Instagram, but there's nothing behind it. The food and drinks are definitely overpriced: €20 for a plate of pasta and €5.50 for a 0.2-liter Kölsch. The food was also cold when it arrived at the table. The portion size isn't enough to satisfy a normal person; we unfortunately had to get a kebab on the way home. How this place got its rating was a mystery to us during our visit.

The music was way too loud. The drinks were also very expensive for what you got. With the music so loud, it was impossible to even have a conversation. It's a bar/restaurant, but it feels more like a club, complete with a fog machine. Stay away if you're over 20.

Outrageous prices!! Kölsch and soft drinks are charged at €5.50 each. The menu doesn't specify drink sizes, so we assumed they were large. However, we only received 0.2 liters for this exorbitant price. We also didn't receive a bill. The waiter was very annoyed and unenthusiastic; I have rarely experienced such unfriendly service. On top of that, all the smoke detectors were constantly beeping loudly, which is not only annoying but also poses a significant safety risk, yet the waiter didn't seem to care.

Service was awful with staff on there phone the entire time. Extremely slow taking drink order. The food was okay but we ordered the pasta that they usually serve out of cheese wheel but it wasn’t on that night. Overall wouldn’t recommend

A very nice restaurant with pleasant decor. However, the food was a disaster. We ordered truffle pasta, and it was swimming in sauce, completely tasteless. And let's not even mention the waitresses' outfits—they were dressed vulgarly. Once bitten, twice shy.

Service was terrible the manager was so rude! There was a hair in my food so we sent it back and it took 30 minutes to come when we were already waiting 30 minutes for the first lot of food. The vibes were very off and after we complained the manager threatened my boyfriend because he said that it was a pisstake (which it was). Don’t go here!!!

Bad! I ordered truffle pasta, but it was like soup; I was told that's how it was supposed to be. I didn't agree, but I left it as is, though I still paid a hefty price. My friend's pasta was good, but I wouldn't go back.

The three of us went there to eat and drink and celebrate two friends' birthdays. The food was truly awful and absolutely not worth the price. The pasta was of very poor quality, and the presentation left much to be desired. Furthermore, all the appetizer plates were damaged. You have to check the bill carefully, because in the end, we were charged for two drinks we hadn't ordered. I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. This place is only suitable for having drinks and enjoying the music and DJ for a while.

A COMPLETE RIP-OFF!!! I recently visited this bar and was really looking forward to the truffle pasta – especially at €30. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing: the taste was very average, and the value for money was completely off. I told the waiter, and he tasted some of it from my plate. I was deeply shocked. He agreed with me and offered to bring something else, but in the end, I still had to pay full price for the truffle pasta. For that price, I expected much more – both in terms of the food and how they handled my complaint.

We went to Bricco with our company, and overall it was a really cool evening. The atmosphere and clientele were really pleasant and modern. The organization and wait time, despite having made a reservation, were a bit chaotic, but you could tell the owner was making an effort and trying to make the best of the situation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him sincerely. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that impressive; we had to wait about 50 minutes for it, and I didn't really like my truffle pasta. However, my companions were all happy with their other dishes. Nevertheless, for the atmosphere and the owner's commitment, I'll give it four stars, lovingly intended, to keep things exciting and keep things in perspective 😄.

Absolute rip-off! €5.50 for a 0.2 pint of Kölsch is extortionate and most likely only semi-legal, if at all. It's half the price in the old town... Pay attention to the receipt: "TSE not reachable. Last successful signature 08/24/25 - 1:50 AM." This means the money wasn't even correctly credited. It's best to avoid the rings and walk a few meters further to real bars or breweries.

Hmm, the Bricco is next to our hotel, so we had a nightcap, or rather, we drank two Caipirinhas and two Misow Mules. The Caipirinhas were very good, at least according to my friends. I found the Mule rather average and not served in a copper vessel. The service was friendly. All the tables outside were occupied. 11:52 p.m.

Simply awful! Service and friendliness are a low priority there. The waitress couldn't provide any information about the contents of the cocktails on the menu. The taste of the cocktails was absolutely not worth the €15 price tag, some of them. The food is also far too overpriced for the quality and taste offered; the main course was served just two minutes after the appetizer. The bottle of still water we ordered was brought to us in an open carafe with dirty glasses, so you pay €7 for tap water. There was also no soap dispenser in the restrooms. We arrived here. Someone puked in the sink on the toilet (it wasn't us). Then we didn't get any Salitos (grrrrrr). Afterward, the staff tried to beat us up and rip us off. Unfortunately, we didn't have the necessary change to take the waitress back to our room, as was highly recommended. All in all, a bad experience.

The BRICCO was the surprise of the day for me/us yesterday! We had a delicious meal somewhere else and were strolling around a bit when we were overcome by a thirst for beer. It was near the BRICCO. We quickly sat down and ordered two beers, but since there were no menus, the women wanted to wait. Contrary to our expectations, we wanted to go somewhere else because we didn't really like it here. I quickly went to the restroom and on the way there, I noticed that the employees in the store were smoking (vaping). When I came back, we decided to pay for the beer and leave. And then the beer arrived. Two 0.2l Kölsch beers that didn't look particularly appetizing because they had no foam. They weren't swirled with the logo (just a small thing), but they were in a glass with a rice-drinking lid. "Pay, please" "Okay... 11.00 euros" "There must have been a misunderstanding, we only had 2 Kölsch beers." She shows me the tablet - 2 x 0.2l Peters Kölsch 5.50 euros = 11.00 euros. I thought I was going to lose my temper. I normally drink 10-15 Kölsch beers outside. That would be at least 55 euros!!! I don't think there's a place in Cologne where a 0.2l Kölsch costs 5.50 euros... And Peters Kölsch comes in a glass with no foam... Terrible! Never again! The waitress (about 18 years old) kept her composure despite my protest. But the best is yet to come. When I get up and ask for the bill, I briefly touch the table leg on my way back, which only has three points of contact with the floor, and I throw away one of the overpriced Kölsch beers. F***! Conclusion... BRICCO is nothing special except that the prices for Kölsch are extremely inflated! When the Peters Brewery finds out that their Kölsch is bottled in Reisdorff glasses, they'll probably throw up their hands in despair! Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the glasses. I was just flabbergasted!

We were there to celebrate a birthday. We ordered drinks and had lipstick on the glass, complained about it and got a new drink after 20 minutes, which was dirty again. After another 2 minutes we got a third drink and that was dirty again. We already asked/informed at the beginning that we had a birthday child at 12:00 a.m. and asked for a cake with a candle. This was confirmed to us and after two more reminders we got the cake. The service was generally rather inattentive. As if we didn't give a tip at the end, we were complained about because they had made a special effort for the piece of cake, which according to our own statement was cake from the previous day, which would otherwise be thrown away. Overall a very bad impression and I definitely wouldn't go there again.

Despite prior agreement as to how long the kitchen would be open, the kitchen was closed upon arrival. The waitress who served us did the best and was also very friendly. The food we ended up with was leftovers that gave us stomach ache afterwards. very unfortunate, but not recommended.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. The menu has become much smaller and the quality has decreased massively, it was a real shame for a great shop. Still okay for drinks, but I won't eat here again.

Tonight there (ate) with very high expectations. From everyone at our table, the food was cold. All toilets were blocked and flooded (not possible to use). But what shocked us most was that the employees smoked in the kitchen. Not recommended. We drove an extra 200 km to visit the hyped restaurant, which we really regretted.

Disastrous service - never again! We made reservations for 11 people and relied on the restaurant to handle this simple task. But when we arrived there was no table prepared for us. Instead of a solution, all we got was an incredulous “Oh, we don’t have enough places.” No apologies, no effort to accommodate us - just chaos. How can a restaurant accept reservations and then fail so miserably? Our entire evening was ruined because we had to look for an alternative at short notice. If you value reliability and good service, you should definitely avoid this store!

Unfortunately our expectations were not met. We had reserved a table for New Year's Eve long in advance and the day before we were informed via Instagram that there was a minimum consumption and entry fee. Well planned, we couldn't find anything else for 8 people. After asking, we were told that we would get sparkling wine, soft drinks and finger food and fruit. On site there was a glass of sparkling wine, a bit of snacks like from the snack box and cigarettes. We never got any fruit! And the snacks only after harsh demand! Unfortunately, for €50 and poor communication it was very disappointing. In addition, we asked three times in advance whether it would be possible for us to get table decorations. This was answered in the affirmative and when we arrived there was no one there. When asked, they didn't know what it was about at first and no one felt responsible. In the end we got a garland and streamers. Our waiter was friendly! I would never go there again and don't recommend it.

We had two different non-alcoholic cocktails and both tasted the same. If I had bought a can from the supermarket it would taste even better. We also changed our position because our table wobbled extremely and the new table wobbled even worse. For a 250 ml glass of non-alcoholic cocktail you pay €12. Which I really don't think is justified given the taste and size. No specialist staff available. We feel scammed.

Well, I come from Stuttgart and went on a short trip to Cologne in September. In the evening when I wanted to celebrate at Vanity, I spontaneously decided to go to Bricco while walking because you could hardly miss the ambience and music. It was simply 10/10 drinks, music, noodles and the price-performance ratio was TOP! I was in Cologne again for Halloween this weekend and had to go to Bricco again because it was so great.

A few weeks ago I made a reservation for 15 people in your restaurant, for which I also had to pay a deposit of €100. However, when we arrived on my birthday, no one knew about the reservation. The staff was also extremely unfriendly and no attempt was made to clarify the situation or wish me a happy birthday. Unfortunately, such disappointing service is unacceptable and I will not consider your restaurant in the future.

Super deep house, Afro house music on the weekend. The DJ is super personable and also plays great music. The food is also great and very tasty. I can only recommend it.

Unfortunately, the store is not recommended for me. The food was tasty but the burner wasn't, so it wasn't justified for the price. The Virgin Sunrise was ok, my husband had a scumbag and received two, he didn't like either of them at all. We were there with a group of 10 people, we could barely understand the people right next to us, everyone else could only hear "what" shouting over the table because the box was hanging directly above our table. I wouldn't come here again because you're allowed to vape in the shop. I asked the waiter again if it was allowed because we had two pregnant women at the table, but yes it is allowed. Some of these things also have nicotine in them, I don't know how the staff is supposed to distinguish between them. They already had enough to do managing the completely full store. We waited 20 minutes for our first drink at the beginning. My husband got a kebab afterwards because he wasn't full from the food.

Bricco is exactly what it calls itself: a club restaurant. If you're looking for a quiet restaurant for long conversations, you've come to the wrong place. However, if you want the best truffle pasta, courteous service, delicious cocktails and great music, this is the right place for you.

Light too bright, service slow, waited 45 minutes for a bottle of still water, Cola Zero and beer, after complaining four times, sparkling water, normal Pepsi, and beer came. After trying to order a bottle of Moët, the waiter disappeared without asking with my cell phone. And when ordering wine, a picture of the menu was taken. So incredibly unprofessional and disorganized.

The three of us spontaneously went for a few cocktails at Bricco before going to the cinema. There were plenty of free places, no pressure or stress. Nevertheless, the staff seemed completely overwhelmed right from the start (beyond friendly communication at all times). At first we waited about 15 minutes before we were even served. Then we ordered a “Mai Tai”, a “P0rnstar Martini” and an “Espresso Martini”. The cocktails all cost on average between 12 and 14 euros; That's pretty good when you consider that happy hour is offered all around in the bars. Well: the quantity, the taste and of course the ratio of drink to watered down ice must be appropriate for the price. We had to wait a gallant 25 minutes for our order. a) The P0rnstar Martini was just brutally sweet and otherwise devoid of any identifiable flavors. Just about “edible” as a completely sugary sip of juice. b) Instead of the espresso martini, an espresso macchiato was delivered. Disappointing, especially because we had to wait another 15 minutes for the right drink. c) Unfortunately, the Mai Tai had nothing remotely close to almond notes, pineapple, orange or rum. The flavor was so off the mark that no one at the table could do anything with it. The drink went back. We were held up with long waiting times, then incomplete, incorrect and inadequate service. The waitress herself was very attentive and warm; However, the staff at the shakers in the cocktail bar are apparently still on internship. To be fair: we didn't have to pay for the incorrect and unsuccessful order; But we wouldn't have accepted it either. For a stable price of 12 euros, the small filling quantity and the enormous amount of ice cream are not at all right. The furnishings are chic, but the aim of an upscale atmosphere is just like a flashy layer of varnish on a stale basic structure: there is little that is right here in terms of content. The music is considerably too loud (for my taste), at a disco level: the concept is that people eat, drink and talk here - rather difficult given the volume. We certainly wouldn't drink cocktails here again and would recommend the wide range of competition instead. If you have a lot of time, don't care too much about getting what you ordered in an appropriate quality despite the steep prices and, on top of that, would like to have your order shoved in your face by the bass thunder of the music, then this is the right place for you!

We wanted to watch football and had made reservations days in advance. Our reserved seat was passed on and we were told maybe we have a seat inside. We then stood for more than 10 minutes so we found a solution. They were very awkward and overwhelmed by the situation. The owner didn't care, the staff went from right to left the whole time. The food was nothing special. The menu used to be better. Overall we were dissatisfied with the situation.
