Good food off the grill and great service by our waiter Amani. There was an issue with my salad and he compensated for it. The fish soup and the crème brûlée were 10/10.

In this location you can find everything...lounge, restaurant, grill, café, bar and in summer a beautiful terrace. This store is timelessly beautiful The staff is professional. The prices are absolutely ok. The audience is mixed. From Schicki Micki to normal. This location is always worth a visit.

Unfortunately the restaurant was not as expected. The food was cold, there was no break between starter and main course and the dishes were clearly pre-prepared and only under heat lamps. The starters tasted good. However, the Bernaise sauce was ice cold and when we complained the only response was that it should be cold. The prices for the wines are too high.

Well, I am not convinced it is really worth the 3 stars even. We were put on a very uncomfortable table, very cold and on the way to the kitchen, there should not be a table at all! We asked to be reseated, did not happen, although there were free tables at some point. The food was also not convincing, especially for the high prices. Generally, they must try much harder to deserve their customers, I felt like a money bag, not a person enjoying food in a cosy place.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday and got a wonderful surprise. Thank you very much!

Rude service last time with another waiter and this time with another. I thought it is only spesific to us but then waiter spoke worse to the table near us. Anyway, very unprofessional. Company should focus on customer experience and staff training.

Top restaurant! Service extremely good and food quality excellent! Ambiance, excellent, I've been coming to Brenner to eat for years when I'm in Munich and can always recommend it. The quality has not diminished over the years! The employees are really well trained, courteous and very attentive and the service is simply first class. My parents were there for the first time and were also very satisfied. Even the dog was not left out. Water was brought directly.

Overall, the food in the Brenner Restaurant was very good, the main courses were tastefully and attractively prepared. However, the price-performance ratio for the side dishes was disappointing. The portion sizes were relatively small and far too expensive in comparison. Anyone who eats here will definitely get quality, but when it comes to the side dishes it feels like the price isn't quite justified.

Never again. We chose this restaurant because we thought the food was very good at the time, but we will never go there again now. The waitress took our order, which we showed them clearly and even with our fingers because it was way too loud. When the food came, it turned out that two plates were missing. After a while the waitress came and asked about it again. Fifteen minutes later the waitress came back and said that the dish was no longer available. Ironically, one of our plates that arrived was one of the dishes. Two of our friends went home hungry as everyone had already finished their food. With a bad face, we paid in cash and even gave a tip. We later found out that we were billed for the two missing dishes and that we didn't notice this. 60€. This is an absolute disgrace. They definitely won't see us again, and I recommend that everyone who still has good hearing, doesn't want to be ripped off and doesn't want to leave the place hungry should look for another restaurant. Not recommended!

Unfortunately, the service is absolutely poor and the restaurant cannot be recommended under any circumstances. We came on Saturday as a group of 9 people to celebrate a birthday and are unfortunately very disappointed. Some of us were there for the first time, some already a few times, but for all of us it was the last time. Unfortunately, several things happened in an absolutely unprofessional manner. Some of us didn't want to drink alcohol and ordered a bottle of water before eating. The alcoholic drinks came but the water didn't. We mentioned this to the same waiter three times, but to no avail. We complained to the waiters passing by, after raising it a total of 5 times in 3 different cellars, we managed to get a bottle of water after over an hour. By then the food had already been eaten. Unfortunately for some of us we didn't have a drink, which was of course very unpleasant and dry for them. In addition, a food order was forgotten. Everyone present has received their order except me. We thought we would definitely come at any moment and waited a few minutes. Until we spoke to the waiter again and he told us that the kitchen had forgotten to prepare it. I had doubts about his statement about the kitchen because he first asked me what I had ordered. As our waiter, you would have to know the orders and when serving, you would have to notice that one of the guests didn't get a plate and pick it up yourself. The communication was the most unprofessional thing about the whole situation. A tired shrug of the shoulders and a phrase, that's just the way it is now, you can't change it. Everyone ate and I had to watch. Of course very unpleasant for the whole group. When everyone had already eaten, I only got my plate. One of the waiters to whom we had complained, who had then managed to bring us the water, came back to ask if everything was okay. When he found out about the food, he took over the service at our table and put a lot of effort into it. Unfortunately the evening was almost over for us and our mood was already ruined. None of us have ever experienced that another waiter has to intervene and take over the service. The service really isn't fair for any restaurant. Especially for anything “upscale”. Some of us were so frustrated that we refused to tip. For me as the “host” of the evening, really unpleasant and shameful. The scariest thing about the evening was the toilet hygiene. For the sake of the reader, I don't want to go into detail.

Unfortunately, our visit to your restaurant was a real disappointment. We were there yesterday with a group of 9 people to celebrate a colleague's birthday. Just an hour after ordering, my water finally arrived, and only after asking four different waiters. The service was generally poor and chaotic - none of the waiters seemed to have an overview. Another big drawback were the toilets: so dirty and unkempt that it almost looked like a bad folk festival. Overall we didn't feel comfortable and will certainly not be coming back.

I am shocked by the lack of professionalism and miserable service at this restaurant. Even though I celebrated my birthday there, I was consistently ignored and given the worst possible service. Everyone in our group got their food before me - despite the fact that I was the birthday girl! The food, when it finally came, was mediocre, but the service ruined the entire evening. No apology, no attention, not a shred of decency from the staff. I have rarely experienced such ignorance! I strongly advise against celebrating here or even going here if you value good service.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a while, but after this last visit, I’m never coming back. The service has gotten worse day by day, and yesterday was the final straw. The waiter was clearly overwhelmed by the workload and didn’t even bother to write down our order. Unsurprisingly, he only brought out half of the food we ordered for a table of five. When we asked about the missing items, he said he had "misheard" us. We waited a long time for the rest of our order, only to be told later that they couldn’t make it because they had run out of octopus. As if that wasn’t frustrating enough, when the bill arrived, I was so irritated that I didn’t immediately notice we’d been overcharged by more than 60 euros! They actually included the missing items on the bill! Sad that I only noticed it today. This place used to be great, but the service has seriously gone downhill. After this terrible experience, I won’t be coming back.

I can't understand the good reviews. The food isn't particularly good, I've been there three times now. Unfortunately it never convinced me. The service is friendly. Last time we ordered an ingredient that came twice. Then it took 20 minutes for the correct dish to arrive and we couldn't eat together anymore (which is the point of eating out?!). I found that very unfortunate.

Update after reply! The only one who misbehaved completely at the beginning was you. They quickly became unfriendly even though I was calm and nice. I've been a regular at your restaurant for 8 years...but don't let anyone talk to me stupidly. The fact that the lady at the table then said you have to act now was the limit. Don't worry, I won't come back. Appreciation of a customer...a foreign word for you. Completely out of touch owner! 0 customer focused. He argues with customers with a threatening finger. De-escalating communication is an absolute foreign concept for this gentleman. I've been eating here every week for 8 years. I'm stunned. It's best to go to training for managers... Zero appreciation...here you're just a number.

An interesting restaurant. Very large, very loud, especially in view of the hustle and bustle of service staff and guests, it is reminiscent of the mass processing in Munich's beer cellars, which are popular with tourists. What is even more surprising is that the audience is by no means tourists. The impression is that it's primarily Munich people, a very nice mix of all age groups. Overall, very “eccentric” and “Schicki Micki”, apparently wealthy, but anything but stylish or tasteful. I would describe the food similarly. Maybe appealing at first glance, the prices are high, but ultimately the taste is only very average. The service is friendly and good. In short: definitely an experience, but if you want to go out for a nice meal and hope for a relaxing, enjoyable evening, I would strongly advise against Brenner.

It's a shame that the waitresses seem to be listless about their job. I find a fixed 8% tip on the bill to be very unusual anyway, but then asking for more tips is just cheeky, especially after rather poor service.

Been there yesterday. Cappuccino is often lukewarm. Extremely tight seating. Even if I know the situation on the service market, it would be better to downsize and improve the service. Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was miserable. We had a reservation for breakfast for 9 people including two children. Our order was taken and after that we waited for some time. By now the table next to us had already received their food. After another few minutes of waiting, the waitress came to us and said that unfortunately we could no longer have breakfast because he had given the order to the kitchen too late. Mistakes happen, no problem. What I would expect from a top restaurant would be to resolve this situation to the customer's satisfaction. Unfortunately, this desire is not present at all in this restaurant. We were offered to order lunch instead. But we wanted breakfast and had placed the order 45 minutes ago. Unfortunately, the management of the restaurant was completely inflexible and we ultimately had to leave without breakfast. Very weak. Especially in this location of the city and at this price level.

Absolutely ridiculous service and behavior from both the staff and the kitchen chef. We had a reservation at 10.45, to which we arrived in time, this is an important note. We were sat in an extremely small table. The waiter took 20 minutes to come and get our order and we were then told he was only taking drinks order. Once that was placed, after 10 minutes, the waiter came back and said it was no longer possible to serve breakfast due to the kitchen being now in preparation for lunch. This was at 11.30. We were then told that we could no longer eat and no solutions were offered. Please mind you that we were a group of 9 people, with 2 children. It’s ridiculous and inhumane to have this treatment at one of the supposedly best places in city.

Service took 10min to collect drinks and serve them. 15min after they return to take our order. 10min after that they return back saying that they cannot serve us as the kitchen has closed. No solution was provided, just information that we could not be served. We were a group of 9 people with two children and left the place 2h after entering still hungry. Un-human.

In Munich for the Oktoberfest in a 48-hour "tour de force" and after a lunch washed down with almost 4 liters of beer each, for dinner we looked for something quieter and ended up at Brenner. The place is very suggestive, with refined furnishings and a very discreet table arrangement and a correct and pleasant mise en place. Menu with Italian dishes (which I usually don't desperately look for abroad) but the general appearance of the place was promising. An octopus-based entrée with crunchy vegetables, a well-presented dish and very pleasant on the palate, the soft octopus. The main courses were all meat, fillet and a beef entrecote with potatoes and vegetables, meat cooked perfectly as requested (my fillet was blue and the entrecote was medium-rear). A bottle of water and a bottle of sweets for just under 50 euros. A special note on the service, provided by a waiter of Greek origin, who also spoke Italian very well and above all very professional! Dear sir, your work has made us appreciate your profession and our dinner, a more than deserved tip (when it's needed... it's needed because there are still serious professionals around). Bill clearly in line with the above, one hundred Eur each. Money well spent!! Thanks to the service/kitchen staff because we enjoyed everything.

The glass the wine was served in was slightly damaged, with a piece missing from the top. Unfortunately the fish was fried far too long, which made it dry. In addition, the food took a very long time and the service was not particularly friendly - the candle at our table was only lit upon request, even though all the other tables were already lit. To be honest, I expected more for 140 euros. Nevertheless, I have to say that the atmosphere was very nice and there were definitely pleasant moments. But overall the price-performance ratio wasn't right for me.

The location itself is beautiful. However, the staff is very overwhelmed and disorganized. We ordered a bottle of water in addition to our drinks. After more than half an hour nothing came. After we finished our food, we asked the waitress to cancel the bottle of water (which never came to our table) because we would then like to pay immediately. Instead of apologizing the response was "don't worry, if you didn't get the bottle you don't have to pay for it" how rude and unprofessional is this statement? The food was very bland and we had to add a lot of seasoning. I've been there once before and everything tasted great. This time it was the complete opposite and a complete disappointment. Food is usually outstanding, service is almost always top, facilities and location are perfect. Disadvantage: the seating is far too close and dogs are tolerated. At my feet was the neighbor's Doberman, who not only farted constantly but looked at me as if I were his dessert.

I really like the Brenner, there is a very nice bar and lounge area at the front, and the restaurant is at the back. I also like to come here for a drink or a coffee in between.

We enjoyed ourselves after the museum in this Brenner restaurant. Sober and elegant decoration. Restaurant, very spacious, slightly noisy… but the dishes were delicious (Dorade and entrecôte) and the cakes worthy of what we have already enjoyed in France or elsewhere. Pleasant setting, courteous and efficient service. Relaxed atmosphere. A little expensive but the quality was there. We recommend this restaurant.

Three waiters who were asked couldn't organize matches or a lighter. Basically a good brunch location in a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the service seems very overwhelmed. After receiving the menu quickly, it took over 10 minutes before we could place the order. However, the food came very quickly and was very tasty. Unfortunately, after eating we had to wait 20 minutes with an empty plate before someone came to clear away the food. We then immediately asked for the bill, but it took over 10 minutes until the waitress came back to collect the money. Ultimately we lost a lot of time as a result. So we were there for lunch yesterday and the food was OK for me, I was forgotten but my food came later.. Romaine potatoes, cold... The spinach path had no taste whatsoever, it was OK but I don't have to go there again...

We went there a couple of days ago for breakfast. As soon as we arrived they invited us to sit in the other courtyard without explaining why. Once seated with some anticipation we ordered a croissant, a cappuccino, a juice and a porridge After 15 minutes only the cappuccino and the freshly squeezed juice arrived and the Brioche after another 10 minutes but by then the cappuccino had gone cold! Porridge arrived soon after so we ate at different times. The quality of the products is still good but not exceptional, especially the brioche. We got up annoyed and at that point we had to ask two different people to pay and wait another 15 minutes! Madness taking into account that the place was at 30% capacity and the staff was overstretched I also noticed a streak of arrogance and little kindness as soon as they realized that we were foreigners

Unacceptable service. Very rude staff. Branded as a high end restaurant, but unfortunately the staff has not been trained to match the standards that they wish to offer. Tossing of cutlery on the table, bossy attitude of waiters and long serving times. Zero hospitality.

Unfortunately our experience was not as expected. The staff was very rude and disrespectful. We found a hair in the food and we asked for a replacement which took more than 25 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy. The food was okay but unfortunately the service and attitude ruins the entire experience. I would not recommend this place.

Great restaurant and many options

I've been coming here since the first day it opened. Previously once a week, now I was here again for the first time in a year. We reserved a table at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. There was a queue of 20 people outside at the entrance which was completely ignored by the staff. After waiting for 10 minutes, I just went into the restaurant and was greeted warmly by the reservationist and we were also given a table by the window. Unfortunately, our waiter was very hectic and not very present, the food was mediocre and the atmosphere was very loud and just as hectic. It's a shame, I was disappointed today.

Very nice terrace in summer for having lunch or dinner al fresco. The food is ok, pricey but good. Indoors is a large beautiful restaurant but much too loud for dinner and I usually go out with headache from the noise - lunch time is usually better - I guess the guests are less loud. Therefore I can recommend it during the summer but less so in winter for dinner.

When it comes to the overall package, there is no other store in the world that is so well positioned. Every visit is an experience. The food, service and ambience are unique.

We can't understand all the good reviews at all. The ambience and atmosphere is like a canteen. Loud, hectic and stressful. The tables are very small and placed close together. The “service” was overwhelmed. It took about 20 minutes until we received a German and English menu. The food was totally bland and tasteless, just slapped onto the plate. After several layers of salt, pepper and parmesan, the food had taken on flavor. The prices should reflect a category that the taste or quality of the food does not reflect. Price/performance is absolutely not right. We wouldn't recommend it.

Poor value for money. The food is neither qualitatively nor quantitatively high quality. I would be willing to pay such prices for small portions if it at least tasted exceptional. Larger orders for pickup always take much longer than stated. Often something is missing, so you have to wait longer. I can't recommend it.

Just ordered a Brenner salad I got recommended by a friend 🥗 Get told 1/2 hour after I ordered that the salad is not available anymore. Very unpleasant surprise. Luckily I was in a little earlier so could wait a little …

The food was extraordinary and the service was exceptional. I visited the restaurant twice during my 4 day stay in Munich. The steak was amazing, the pasta was as good as or even better than what I would get in Italy. The dessert and coffee were good. The whole experience was exceptional.

I was here for the first time years ago and now I love Brenner. It has retained its old charm and yet moved with the times. I love the bar area at the front to have a drink, but I also like being at the back of the restaurant. You simply have to be here!

!!!!!!!! VERY POOR SERVICE !!!!!!!! We had to wait for waiters for 20 minutes and nobody came … once I came to the waiter and ask to serve us , he told : “you have to wait for my colleague” and nobody came during next 10 minutes…The waiters have no idea how to serve and how to be polite and fix the client’s requests properly … I am very disappointed.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We ordered a tomahawk steak for two people. Cost just under €150. We had a seat at the grill and saw the steak come onto the grill. After a while it was removed from the grill and placed in a tray. 1.5 hours! Later the steak was briefly thrown on the grill again and then served to us. Result: Instead of medium, it was completely done. Plus cold and chewy. When the first complaint was made, the meat was briefly thrown back on the grill and was then served lukewarm but completely cooked through and tough. On the second complaint we were offered a new dish. We asked for an entrecote and a regular steak both medium rare. One of the two was suitable. The second one was still completely raw. The waiter replied that there was probably “a worm in the kitchen” today. On the third complaint, this was correct. As compensation we were given dessert and two espressos on the house. But what we experienced bears no relation to the price and it was an absolutely disappointing visit. Despite what we experienced, a starter, two pieces of meat and the side drinks amounted to €150. For us as guests it was incredibly unpleasant to be served such food and have to complain about it. We were able to observe the goings-on on the grill for a long time and it was often the case that pieces that had been lying around for a long time were placed on the plates and served. Unfortunately a very very very disappointing experience.

Great restaurant at the opera in Munich. Here you can enjoy delicious grilled food all day long and very good service. The prices are high but it's worth it for this great restaurant. In the summer you sit outside and feel like you're on vacation.

I think it's very good here and I really like the food and the service. Especially the opportunity to sit relaxed at the front in the bar area and then at the back in the restaurant for lunch or dinner. But it's definitely worth making a reservation.

Title: Disappointing experience I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The food was anything but satisfactory. The meat was dry and seemed like it had just been thrown on the plate without any attention to detail. The bread that was served came without any side dish or spread - just unappetizing. The service staff was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in the guests. It took a long time to get served and when we asked for recommendations we only received short, rude answers. Overall it was a very unsatisfactory experience and unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. I hope they work on the quality of their food and service in the future.

I had dinner at this place and it is absolutly amazing.. I ordered a griller salmon and it tasted so good and the service was also great.. I definitly recommend it for a fancy dinner in Munich :)
