The only thing that's still great about the Bräuwirt is the ambiance. The service leaves a lot to be desired, and the prices are absolutely outrageous. I know the Wiener Schnitzel at the Bräuwirt to be really delicious, with delicious potato salad and a side salad. Now it's more expensive, the portions are smaller, and there's no salad included. Unfortunately, the potato salad wasn't seasoned at all, and the schnitzel was an absolute disaster. The schnitzel was covered in bloody tendons. I definitely won't be going there again.

We wanted to order the summer vegetables with potatoes, etc., but unfortunately, they were sold out shortly after 12:00, as we were told, even though it was on the weekly menu. We opted for a salad, which we waited 25 minutes for! Which is a no-go. It said it came with various dressings, and turkey schnitzel or something similar, and I could only taste one dressing. There wasn't even a slice of bread or baguette with it. The meat was only slightly lukewarm and bone dry. With the salad with yogurt dressing, you could only just make out the dressing. €14.90 per salad is absolutely overpriced. We certainly won't be back. It's a fact and not an exaggeration in the slightest.

Unfortunately, I can't find any positive words for my review, except for the two nice people who did a fantastic job. The food was a scandal! It was an absolute disgrace to sell something like that to the guests as "food." I am deeply disappointed and shocked. The many positive comments are incomprehensible to me. I think a microwaved meal would have tasted more appealing.

A very cozy inn right on the market square with a lovely rustic decor and its own brewery in the basement. The waitresses were all very friendly, and even a special request for food (2 spaetzle with gravy), which wasn't on the extensive menu, was happily served. The food tasted just as delicious as I remembered. The house-brewed dark Zoigl beer is also very tasty and also available in smaller glasses than the standard Maß. If we're ever in Weiden/Opf. again, we'll be happy to come back.

The portions were manageable, the food wasn't very warm. There was hardly any meat on the shoulder, the dumplings were overcooked and unseasoned, and the fries were far too greasy. The service was friendly!

It's worth it, I love it there. The service is top-notch. The food is great too; the schnitzel is delicious 😊 and the sausage salad is very, very tasty. I'll come by any time that suits me.

Simply authentic Bavarian cuisine with our own Zoigl brewery and regional dishes!

I had a good, inexpensive meal for a long time, including my first Goaßmaß beer there. They had a lunch special. When the validity period was only 30 minutes, I asked and was told to sit down. I then waited 10 minutes for a waiter, who only took my drink, brought it 10 minutes, and immediately left without eating. Another 10 minutes, and my lunch menu was taken away and I was given the more expensive regular menu; I couldn't leave because I'd already had a drink. My written complaint went unanswered. A friend ordered a lunch special to pick up. Later that evening, we met: the goose meat was tough, no goose sauce, and the dumplings were good.

A quaint restaurant with an attached brewery. Rustic decor, spread over several floors. An appealing menu with a wide selection. The roast pork with dark beer sauce and two small dumplings was good, but the side salad would have been nice. Very attentive service. Of the three Zoigl beers, I only liked the dark one. Highly recommended.

Went to the Bräuwirt today as part of a day trip. The anticipation for the Schäufele was great, but the result was unfortunately disappointing. The Schäufele was tough and literally had to be sawn off the bone. It's more familiar that you can share it with a fork. The service was also completely overwhelmed. We had to let us know three times that we wanted to pay and waited 20 minutes just for that.

Despite reservation 3 weeks ago! (since we were a larger group) we had to wait 2 hours for our food. Very disappointed.

We would have liked at least some indication from the staff that it might take longer. We definitely won't be coming here anymore - it's a shame

Hatte den Salat mit Wolfsbarsch und Lachs bestellt. Selbst der Bedienung war bei meiner Anmerkung aufgefallen wie klein und "übersichtlich"die Fischfilets waren. Und die Menge des Salats- na ja... Für fast 20 Euro kein gutes Preis-Leistungsergebnis!! Meine Freundin hatte gebratene Knödel bestellt und hat Bratkartoffeln bekommen... ! Fazit: Wenn man mal ein gutes Bier trinken möchte, kann man es sich dort schmecken lassen. Zum Essen waren wir dort zum letzten Mal... Viel zu teuer, für das was man bekommt!!

This long-established inn with an outdoor area is located in the middle of the attractive pedestrian zone. The food is mainly based on local home cooking. A highlight is the home-brewed beer. Really a pleasure. We sat outside at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. The Schäufele with 2 mini dumplings from the microwave is certainly better. Service was friendly and nice.

I’m not a huge fan of traditional German food, so this isn’t a place I’d visit often—but overall, the experience was alright. The food was actually pretty good, just not really my style. Nothing stood out enough to make me want to return, but if you’re into hearty Bavarian dishes, it might be more up your alley.

German restaurant with spacious area where you can hang out outdoors, indoors or basement where there are local breweries of German beers. We reserved lunch table for birthday party and we got really good private area, so impressive.

I was your guest for the first time. The rooms are very clean, large and sensibly furnished. The sauna can be used from 5 p.m. Unfortunately the cabin is not in such good condition. It smells slightly of charred wood. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Parking is only possible in the underground car park. Can only be reached via an elevator, which is very narrow. The parking spaces aren't any wider either. If you have a large car, it's better to look around.

Very, very disappointing!!! We (three people) had lunch there on January 6th. We had three different dishes, and everything was subpar—starting with the fact that the food was served lukewarm. Value for money: inadequate Plus, sitting in the so-called "Tenne" (tenna) feels like an "aging" winter garden.

We spontaneously stopped by today and received a warm welcome. The service staff were all very prompt and friendly. We had a Schäuferle (a kind of pork shoulder), a Wiener Schnitzel (a Viennese-style schnitzel), and the brewery goulash. Everything tasted great. The sauces were fantastic! The house beer is highly recommended. The prices were very fair. It was nice and warm in the vaulted cellar. We'll be back!

Unfortunately not a good experience. We had ordered a table for 5 people. Were directed to a seat that was already occupied. A table was finally found for us. The glasses in which we were served our beer were warm. Our food is completely different. The liver dumpling soup was lukewarm and completely tasteless, the noodle and vegetable casserole was absolutely cold. Only the Viennese-style schnitzel was warm. The taste was okay but not a highlight. It's a shame, it's a shame, such a nice restaurant but now without quality. Hopefully things will get better again.

Very disappointing. Goose breast had nothing to do with goose. The meat was very dry, with hardly any crust. Beef goulash was also very dry and the bread dumplings tasted like watery porridge. For both dishes, the sauce didn't go well with it and tasted completely over-seasoned.

Always delicious. Price-performance is still very good here. The portions aren't huge, but you'll feel full and the prices are cheaper than many competitors. The Zoigl beer tastes excellent. The consistently warm kitchen is also nice. That means you can get something good to eat at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Snack selection is good. The warm dishes were all very tasty as far as I tried them.

I would like to recommend that the “Bräu Wirt” go to the restaurant of the Schloss Hotel in Hirschau to eat. Maybe he'll notice something like: a) Quality of service b) Quality of the food To a) He won't find any "train station staff" there who will slam a menu for Americans onto the guest's table and then lecture the guest: "Miassns hold English lerna"! To b) When you eat a roast pork there, you get a nice portion with a real pork gravy and not a thick gravy from a plastic container. And by the way: The beer from the Hirschau Castle Brewery is also better.

We are a larger group that meets (at least) once a month somewhere in the Upper Palatinate to eat and drink. We always change the guesthouses and try out a lot of new things. And this time we wanted to stop at the Gasthaus BräuWirt. I called to make a reservation. I stated that we would officially meet at 7:30 p.m., some would come earlier, there would be around 20 to 30 people, everyone would eat and drink, and whether we could sit longer afterwards. As a rule, one or two bottles are emptied after eating. When making the reservation by telephone, I was supposed to provide my telephone number and email address, which of course I did. An email then came with a booking confirmation. There were already two errors in the booking confirmation. We are neither a “Wetrau” company (completely unknown) nor do we hold a meeting. But that's only on the sidelines. There was no agreement on a “group ticket” and it is not known exactly what that was supposed to be. We then pointed out the two errors by email and further replied that we could not accept the cancellation conditions listed in the booking confirmation. The background is simply that it is a regular meeting. We can promise that we will appear - but not exactly how many will come and exactly at what time. We have no influence on this and can only provide empirical values. As a rule, there are never fewer than 20 of us and rarely more than 40 people. We wouldn't be willing to pay any fantasy fees - apart from the fact that we don't have such a thing as a cash register. We have asked you to let us know to what extent you want to stick to the contents of the booking confirmation so that you can then react accordingly. We were then informed that after consultation with the management, the reservation would be canceled on their part. These cancellation fees would now be common in the catering industry and the fees would by no means be fantasy. You can't just block a room without knowing how many people will appear. The service manager already knows about this - whatever that means - and the reservation would therefore be invalid. Apart from the fact that it is of course a fantasy fee, since there is no legal basis for the amount and this fee was thought up by yourself - i.e. it is based on imagination - we have stated approximately how many people will appear. This was also noted in the booking confirmation. Don't misunderstand: It is of course the management's right to set up all conceivable rules for a reservation. But it is also the guests' right to look for another guesthouse in such a case and not to recommend it. We definitely understand the background. You just want to create absolute planning security and pass on the entrepreneurial risk to the guests. If we had been told during the phone call under what conditions you were allowed to make a reservation in this house, we would have saved ourselves the whole thing. We are now organizing the 63rd get-together in January. We have never encountered anything like this in 62 cases. But basically it's not a problem, there are plenty of alternatives that are happy to accept our money. Without such ridiculous conditions and statements. Especially in these times when money is tight and many people are thinking about whether they will go out to eat and if so, where. Pride always comes before a fall. Just think about it.

Hello, we had lunch today with my 95-year-old mother. First of all, the waiter was very friendly and helpful. Much to be praised. But!!!. We ordered 3x goose breast. She was a mess. Cold and had nothing to do with goose. Sorry, but if you can call it sauce, it was just a mush. Zero goose flavor, dry and tough. You can't present something like that to people. It's not exactly cheap.

It's actually quite quaint to sit in a large restaurant, you just have to be careful not to sit somewhere in the middle of one of the rooms. Things can get quick. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick. The home-brewed Zoigl beer is very good. The only thing that was very disappointing was the food. The goose breast we ordered was dry, the sauce was clearly a thickened sauce, the potato dumplings were tasteless ready-made products and the red cabbage was definitely canned. Hunger pushed it in, but enjoyment looks different with such bland and bland food, especially since it wasn't cheap.

Eating a disaster. Goose breast with dumplings €29.90 the price would be justified if the quality was right. To the chest: Completely dry (presumably warmed up again) The sauce was a gravy that was thickened with far too much sauce thickener (it was like jelly) Dumplings were okay (but you can't go wrong with ready-made dough) Apart from the schnitzel, my companions' dishes were also terrible. A cream roast with pork gravy - what a dream. The home-brewed beer isn't really good either (but it's a matter of taste) The service was very nice and accommodating Conclusion never again! Dear Bräuwirt team, you still have a lot of catching up to do with how you always present yourself.

Went to the Bräuwirt in July for a civil wedding. Difficulties with the preparation... as not everyone knew where to go with the festivities... we had to wait over an hour before we could decorate. The food on the wedding day was good... nothing extraordinary. ..however, the burger I ate was highly recommended 😃 and everyone enjoyed the food.

Super tasty food at good prices with top service.

We had dinner at the Bräuwirt in the evening as a couple. We were able to choose a table on the first floor, service was good. My husband had some food that tasted good. Normal portion, salad or garnish would be appropriate for the price. I had spaetzle with mountain cheese, which was very salty and served in a cast iron pan that no longer had a black coating on the bottom due to many washings, but had rusted on it. Then serve it appetizingly on a plate. Portion was plentiful.
