The two of us enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! The reception was very friendly, we were given a table and friendly waiters looked after us. A really crispy outside and very tender inside knuckle of pork as well as the classic Himmel und Äd followed by a classic spaghetti ice cream delighted our taste buds. We'd love to come back, if the weather permits there is a lovely outdoor area!

An all-round perfect experience! We were able to reserve a table at short notice and were delighted from the very first moment. The service was friendly, attentive and professional, and the food was simply outstanding - both in terms of taste and presentation. Every detail was perfect, and the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. A big thank you to the whole team for this wonderful evening. We will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10

The price/performance ratio is absolutely not right here, small portions, plates much too small and the taste is very strange for a €22 Cordon Bleu. 1-2 anchovies on the schnitzel was also a joke 😂 Plus a dry, boring salad. However, the ambience and location is very nice, and you could do a lot more with it when it comes to the food. In the end the waiter rolled his eyes and shook his head when we only tipped us €3. If the service and food had been better, I would have been willing to tip more. Not worth returning.

Before visiting the restaurant I looked at the not so good reviews and tried to be unbiased. I didn't expect such a good atmosphere in Erkrath. An improvement would be desirable in terms of drinks service. Also that The fact that the right knife for the knuckle was only brought after repeated inquiries and the mashed potatoes were only warmed up in places casts a shadow over the friendly service and yet tasty food. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant.

Really great feel-good atmosphere, very friendly service and the food came quickly too. The Angus Burger was super tasty, as was the Cordon Bleu. We'll definitely be back! Update: 01.2025: Food and service still top. However, there is no changing facility for the little guests. Therefore 1 star deducted because we have already mentioned this several times and nothing has changed.

We have been coming here regularly for almost 5 years. The currywurst with fries and salad have always been a highlight. But to be honest, today for the first time absolutely nothing! The fries were as greasy as I've ever experienced them, the currywurst wasn't as nice either, the sauce today tasted like tomato paste and the now mini salad wasn't great either. Pretty disappointing.

What a sad kitchen that gives out fries with the schnitzel that are dripping with oil and offers soggy, oily fried potatoes as a replacement! And that after tough negotiations with the waiter, who thinks everything is (almost) normal! Sorry - none! There are no prices on the menu online; there are prices in the display case, but they are about 10% lower than at the table. There was also no mention of a lunch menu. The ambience is okay, but you shouldn't rest on your laurels!

We had dinner here with the family and not for the first time. However, this time the result was a bit mixed. Not everyone was happy with the food. The fries were not crispy at all and therefore very greasy. The schnitzels weren't much above the level of a chip shop, although the sauces were tasty. But other dishes were also popular. I know from experience that things can be better here too. The price level is clearly too expensive for what is on offer. At least the service was friendly and the location also has something. However, that won't be enough in the long run. After this performance it is questionable whether I will come again.

Absolute highlight, mega ambience, top service, friendly and fast.

The location is very attractive and cozy. The service is very friendly, but sometimes they ask a little too much whether everything is okay. Some of the prices are absolutely outrageous! Two very small soups with two glasses of water cost €25! A tarte flambée for 17.50! If high prices for mediocre quality don't scare you off, this is the place for you. That's nothing for me! I expect high quality at such prices!

Our company Christmas party with 280 people in the brewery was simply great! The service was extremely friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and the selection of drinks was perfect. Despite the large group, everything went smoothly and in great spirits. Many thanks to the team on site – we felt completely at home and would love to come back!

So the food was okay. It was tasty, but really nothing that would make you say “wow”. I don't think the establishment is intended for that, as breweries tend to have a cozy kitchen. Such home-style food. I found the atmosphere really nice! I really liked the industrial touch. Well... let's get to the unpleasant thing of the evening: the service. The waiter really rarely came to see us. We were there on a weekday evening and the store wasn't even very busy. Ordering took forever and after we were finished, no one came to clear up or perhaps ask for something to drink. I'm really a fan of giving a little tip anyway, because it's part of it. But he didn't accept my 1.90 on a 26.00 euro bill (that was generous considering the service was so bad) and stubbornly rejected it. He couldn't wish you a nice evening and stay nice after that. Keep this first and last visit personal. ☺️

Leider schon lange nicht mehr für soviel Geld so schlecht gegessen. Gänsekeule sehr trocken, das Gulasch sah aus wie Hundefutter und an den anderen Speisen fehlte alles an Gewürz.

Super super cool atmosphere. You just have the feeling of coming home. The food was delicious and there was also something for vegetarians. The service was super friendly. We were there with our dog and baby. That's right, everyone, regardless of who they are with, is welcome here. Even with a dog and baby 😀 The boss even came and asked if everything was OK with the volume. Really super cool 😌 We would come here again and again because it just feels like home. Nach unkomplizierter Absprache mit dem freundlichen Besitzer haben wir nach der Taufe unserer Tochter dort einen schönen Mittag/Nachmittag verbracht. Es wurde ein Bereich für uns abgetrennt und ein Kellner abgestellt, so dass wir stets gut bedient wurden. Das Essen war solide und lecker. Das Tegernseer Bier vom Fass schmeckt ohnehin bestens. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Jederzeit gerne wieder in kleinem oder auch großen Kreis.

Nice decor and good food at a decent price. The ambience is in modern industrial design, old factory or something similar. What is absolutely not possible is the parking situation. The nearby parking lot is packed during the day. Otherwise good.

Very nice restaurant with very tasty food

We didn't like it at all. Fries and burger buns were soft. The black pudding had lumps of fat as thick as white beans. The apple wasn't stewed, just warmed. The worst thing was the taste of the gravy. Due to the height of the room, it is cool and very loud, therefore uncomfortable. More room dividers would create more atmosphere.

The ambience is really great, everything else is far below average: We had knuckle and schnitzel, both out of the question, the knuckle was anything but crispy and not much to it, the schnitzel was dry. Really out of the question given the prices. The waiter was just listless.

Everything you need: Food prices are quite high, the four of us wanted to get information on our first visit. The service was a disaster. Drink orders were constantly forgotten, when they arrived the foam was gone and the beer was already warmed up. You are also resistant to criticism and advice. We then went somewhere else to eat. A lot of appearance, little being. Not again.

I've been there a few times now and I've always enjoyed the food. Once I ordered currywurst and when I asked, I even found out that the boss made the sauce himself, which as a currywurst fan made me very happy :) Clear recommendation!

There wasn't much going on that day. Tables were not wiped clean and service took its time. Food also came quickly after ordering. There was also a daily menu where 25% of the dish was no longer available. Price performance is a bit too expensive in my opinion. But I would eat there again.

Excellent Christmas dinner, there were 10 of us and everyone was thrilled. This time there are five of us - we'll be back, everything's great.

I would highly recommend it. We were here with a hiking group of 10 and we were all well served with food. My recommendation: pork knuckle pan, tasted great, lots of meat and good value for money!

With a few exceptions, the price/performance ratio is no longer right when it comes to food. The automatic door to the disabled toilet has not been repaired for at least a year. Furthermore, despite requests, access is almost always difficult because chairs or clothes racks get in the way. The bit of staff is very friendly and committed!

The atmosphere is great, we sat outside in the beautiful weather. Unfortunately the waiter was overwhelmed, even though the beer garden was only moderately busy. His T-shirt looked very grubby, maybe it should be changed every now and then. The food was average. The beer was tasty, but there was only one for us because the waiter avoided our table.

The Brauhaus zum goldenen Handwerk is great in terms of its interior and location. Unfortunately there is a lack of qualified staff (waitress) here and you are treated as if you were lucky to be dining there. Unfortunately, this spoils the experience so much that you think twice about going there again. Too bad

Völlig ÜBERTEUERT!! Wir haben auf das Essen verzichtet, da es nicht nur viel zu teuer ist, auch am Nebentisch nicht besonders aussah. Chicken Nuggets by the way mit Pommes 22 Euro 🤦‍♀️ was ist da schief gelaufen?? Nur mal so, damit man eine Preisvorstellung bekommt, unfassbar! Dazu schlechter Service, gelangweilte nicht unfreundliche Kellner! Nie wieder!

Food tastes great. Unfortunately, the prices have simply increased so much in recent years that a visit is no longer worth it in terms of price/performance.

Was in the brewery for the first time. Very nice atmosphere and very nice staff. I can't write anything about the food yet because I only had something to drink.

We met friends here and loved the food, service and ambience. You can sit very well inside or outside when the weather is good. We will be back.

Stale warmed sauerkraut is not delicate.Only one of the many tables had an earthenware jug with cutlery and napkins which my husband fetched.The waiter didn't notice when we were serving that we didn't have any cutlery.Prices are exorbitant.

Das Weinglas war voll Lippenstift. Als ich reinging wollte er tatsächlich den Wein aus den schmutzigen Glas in ein sauberes Glas umschütten. Die Nudel meiner Freundin waren matschig gekocht. Der Beilagensalat war ebenfalls nicht frisch. Die Kellner total unaufmerksam. Haben nicht einmal in 1Std gefragt ob wir noch etwas zu trinken haben wollen.

It's best to avoid this "restaurant", it's really really bad and overpriced (no wonder there are no prices on the menu online! A bowl with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, peppers and seeds for €17.90 You have to bring it first. Now add avocado as a topping for €5.90 extra and a bit of chicken for €7.50 and then you have a delicious bowl for over 30 EURO. That's really cheeky given all the increased costs and should be bought straight away. About our experience: If you just want to drink a beer and are nearby, ok... but then please pay attention to the filling level and where the calibration mark is! People tend to pour too little here ;-) and at €5.60 or so for 0.5l it should at least be full and not have 0.45 liters in it! The food was really bad and incredibly expensive! Had two burgers, the first was super dry and inedible, the second was a little better but really not good at 22 euros, you just expected more. The problem here again, 200 grams is on the card and what feels like 130 grams arrive. Of course there was a loss of roasting etc. but either it was really bad meat with a lot of water or it was just a lie ;-) Waiters were nice, but it seems like the boss is the problem here! Therefore simply not recommended ;-)

There were two of us there today and we waited almost an hour until our order finally came. Great atmosphere to have a drink but I can't recommend eating there. The menu is not large, but quite expensive for mediocre quality.

Schade für den hungrigen Abend. Preis-Leistung leider sehr schlecht. Getränke und Service flott - das war das einzig GUTE. Die Speisen viel zu kleine Portionen für den Preis. Der Gulasch hatte nur zwei “Stückchen“ Fleisch in eigenartiger angedickter Sauce, mit einem geschmacklosen Kloß, für 22,50 € - 😳 unfassbar. HAMBURGER recht klein, eher als Kinderteller geeignet, wenig Pommes. Nichts für den guten Hunger, oder starke Männer. Auch hier vieeel zu teuer. Da ist McD sogar besser. Die anderen Speisen waren auch nicht gut. Salatsauce musste man suchen. Bratkartoffeln waren kalt. Also bei schönem Wetter, draußen für 1-2 Drinks ja, aber nicht wieder hierher zum Essen.

Service very friendly. Drinks and food came quickly. Salad punch is absolutely not recommended. Just add a little vinegar sauce. The price at €17.50 is unreasonable and overpriced. No bread was served with it and no "small compensation" on the house after you had expressed your dissatisfaction. It's a shame... I know it differently

The ambience is very nice. The service is quick. The price is okay. A little too high, but fair for the ambience. There is an open kitchen. My cheese spaetzle was plentiful and tasted great. But the cheese choice wasn't right. The mountain cheese wasn't enough and it was very creamy. This made it a little too runny. But overall a 4 out of 5 points

Die Location ist sehr ansprechend,allerdings hat der Salat zu wenig Dressing und stellenweise verwelkte Blätter,der Hauptgang"Schnitzel mit Champion Rahmsoße und Bratkartoffeln muss leider reichlich nach gewürzt werden,die Preise sind schon sehr hoch für die nicht so gute Qualität des Essens. Ich würde 4,5 von 10 Sternen geben.

The food is very tasty, but quite expensive. We each had a knuckle. My wife didn't quite manage hers. We also had our dogs with us. When we were finished we asked the waiter to pack up half of my wife's knuckle and my knuckle bone for the dog. The waiter took our plates and came back with two sealed aluminum boxes. When we opened the package at home. My wife had the rest of the knuckle wrapped up, but it was boneless. In my package, where my bone was supposed to be, there was only the fat I had set aside and no bone. I've never experienced anything so incompetent.

The ambience is really very nice and unique in Erkrath. Unfortunately we had to wait forever before we could order food and then had to wait another hour for the food. At least the drinks came very quickly. Unfortunately the food was below average for the price. At least the portions were very good. The salad tasted like rubber and the veggie burger also had a strange taste. A recommended location to go for a drink.

We were celebrating an 80th birthday with 13 people in the brewery. My mother paid a lot of money for a nice atmosphere, mediocre food and worse than bad service. The very stressed and unfriendly waitress made us wait for a long time and didn't ask whether everything was ok or whether it tasted good, she was very annoyed and rolled her eyes because the children needed something to choose an ice cream. When asked if she was stressed, she replied rudely, "that's just the way it is." No matter how much stress there is, the guest shouldn't notice anything. However, we are not inhumane and understand if things don't go smoothly right away. The food was placed on the table over our heads and the drink was handed to us. When asked if she had a glass of water to put the bouquet in, she said if she had time she would bring one! Of course this didn't happen. We then flushed an empty beer glass down the toilet and used it. We had reserved as a birthday party. A waiter who brought us 3 meals to the table was the only one who had a smile and was friendly. (a little older)

We were a large group of 14 people for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere is really nice. The food was okay for a brewery. In the outdoor area, a maximum of half of the tables were occupied; in the indoor area, we were the only occupied table. The toilets are not clean. In the men's toilets, the water and urine flow out of the urinals, so you inevitably have to walk through them. Even after staying for almost 3 hours, nothing changed. The service, however, is a complete disaster. Unfriendly and really snotty. We had to wait 30 minutes for the drinks order. After another 45 minutes you were allowed to order food. The food was brought very quickly, but there were 2 wrong orders and one meal was completely forgotten. The starters were then brought during the main course. We then rejected it and had to cancel it. Basically, we understand stressed service staff. However, the lady who served us was so unfriendly, snotty and unprofessional that I have never experienced that in my 50s. For this arrogant reason of unfriendliness, we will no longer visit this restaurant.
