Excellent Christmas dinner, there were 10 of us and everyone was thrilled. This time there are five of us - we'll be back, everything's great.

I would highly recommend it. We were here with a hiking group of 10 and we were all well served with food. My recommendation: pork knuckle pan, tasted great, lots of meat and good value for money!

With a few exceptions, the price/performance ratio is no longer right when it comes to food. The automatic door to the disabled toilet has not been repaired for at least a year. Furthermore, despite requests, access is almost always difficult because chairs or clothes racks get in the way. The bit of staff is very friendly and committed!

The atmosphere is great, we sat outside in the beautiful weather. Unfortunately the waiter was overwhelmed, even though the beer garden was only moderately busy. His T-shirt looked very grubby, maybe it should be changed every now and then. The food was average. The beer was tasty, but there was only one for us because the waiter avoided our table.

Great location, the beer garden also makes a nice impression. We were inside today and this industrial design atmosphere is really charming. It certainly wasn't there for the last time

The Brauhaus zum goldenen Handwerk is great in terms of its interior and location. Unfortunately there is a lack of qualified staff (waitress) here and you are treated as if you were lucky to be dining there. Unfortunately, this spoils the experience so much that you think twice about going there again. Too bad

Völlig ÜBERTEUERT!! Wir haben auf das Essen verzichtet, da es nicht nur viel zu teuer ist, auch am Nebentisch nicht besonders aussah. Chicken Nuggets by the way mit Pommes 22 Euro 🤦‍♀️ was ist da schief gelaufen?? Nur mal so, damit man eine Preisvorstellung bekommt, unfassbar! Dazu schlechter Service, gelangweilte nicht unfreundliche Kellner! Nie wieder!

Food tastes great. Unfortunately, the prices have simply increased so much in recent years that a visit is no longer worth it in terms of price/performance.

Was in the brewery for the first time. Very nice atmosphere and very nice staff. I can't write anything about the food yet because I only had something to drink.

We met friends here and loved the food, service and ambience. You can sit very well inside or outside when the weather is good. We will be back.

Das Weinglas war voll Lippenstift. Als ich reinging wollte er tatsächlich den Wein aus den schmutzigen Glas in ein sauberes Glas umschütten. Die Nudel meiner Freundin waren matschig gekocht. Der Beilagensalat war ebenfalls nicht frisch. Die Kellner total unaufmerksam. Haben nicht einmal in 1Std gefragt ob wir noch etwas zu trinken haben wollen.

Stale warmed sauerkraut is not delicate.Only one of the many tables had an earthenware jug with cutlery and napkins which my husband fetched.The waiter didn't notice when we were serving that we didn't have any cutlery.Prices are exorbitant.

We had a lovely evening here with great, friendly service, good, tasty brewery food, a large selection of desserts and plenty of drinks. We'll definitely come back for dinner.

It's best to avoid this "restaurant", it's really really bad and overpriced (no wonder there are no prices on the menu online! A bowl with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, peppers and seeds for €17.90 You have to bring it first. Now add avocado as a topping for €5.90 extra and a bit of chicken for €7.50 and then you have a delicious bowl for over 30 EURO. That's really cheeky given all the increased costs and should be bought straight away. About our experience: If you just want to drink a beer and are nearby, ok... but then please pay attention to the filling level and where the calibration mark is! People tend to pour too little here ;-) and at €5.60 or so for 0.5l it should at least be full and not have 0.45 liters in it! The food was really bad and incredibly expensive! Had two burgers, the first was super dry and inedible, the second was a little better but really not good at 22 euros, you just expected more. The problem here again, 200 grams is on the card and what feels like 130 grams arrive. Of course there was a loss of roasting etc. but either it was really bad meat with a lot of water or it was just a lie ;-) Waiters were nice, but it seems like the boss is the problem here! Therefore simply not recommended ;-)

There were two of us there today and we waited almost an hour until our order finally came. Great atmosphere to have a drink but I can't recommend eating there. The menu is not large, but quite expensive for mediocre quality.

Schade für den hungrigen Abend. Preis-Leistung leider sehr schlecht. Getränke und Service flott - das war das einzig GUTE. Die Speisen viel zu kleine Portionen für den Preis. Der Gulasch hatte nur zwei “Stückchen“ Fleisch in eigenartiger angedickter Sauce, mit einem geschmacklosen Kloß, für 22,50 € - 😳 unfassbar. HAMBURGER recht klein, eher als Kinderteller geeignet, wenig Pommes. Nichts für den guten Hunger, oder starke Männer. Auch hier vieeel zu teuer. Da ist McD sogar besser. Die anderen Speisen waren auch nicht gut. Salatsauce musste man suchen. Bratkartoffeln waren kalt. Also bei schönem Wetter, draußen für 1-2 Drinks ja, aber nicht wieder hierher zum Essen.

Service very friendly. Drinks and food came quickly. Salad punch is absolutely not recommended. Just add a little vinegar sauce. The price at €17.50 is unreasonable and overpriced. No bread was served with it and no "small compensation" on the house after you had expressed your dissatisfaction. It's a shame... I know it differently

The ambience is very nice. The service is quick. The price is okay. A little too high, but fair for the ambience. There is an open kitchen. My cheese spaetzle was plentiful and tasted great. But the cheese choice wasn't right. The mountain cheese wasn't enough and it was very creamy. This made it a little too runny. But overall a 4 out of 5 points

Die Location ist sehr ansprechend,allerdings hat der Salat zu wenig Dressing und stellenweise verwelkte Blätter,der Hauptgang"Schnitzel mit Champion Rahmsoße und Bratkartoffeln muss leider reichlich nach gewürzt werden,die Preise sind schon sehr hoch für die nicht so gute Qualität des Essens. Ich würde 4,5 von 10 Sternen geben.

The food is very tasty, but quite expensive. We each had a knuckle. My wife didn't quite manage hers. We also had our dogs with us. When we were finished we asked the waiter to pack up half of my wife's knuckle and my knuckle bone for the dog. The waiter took our plates and came back with two sealed aluminum boxes. When we opened the package at home. My wife had the rest of the knuckle wrapped up, but it was boneless. In my package, where my bone was supposed to be, there was only the fat I had set aside and no bone. I've never experienced anything so incompetent.

The ambience is really very nice and unique in Erkrath. Unfortunately we had to wait forever before we could order food and then had to wait another hour for the food. At least the drinks came very quickly. Unfortunately the food was below average for the price. At least the portions were very good. The salad tasted like rubber and the veggie burger also had a strange taste. A recommended location to go for a drink.

We were celebrating an 80th birthday with 13 people in the brewery. My mother paid a lot of money for a nice atmosphere, mediocre food and worse than bad service. The very stressed and unfriendly waitress made us wait for a long time and didn't ask whether everything was ok or whether it tasted good, she was very annoyed and rolled her eyes because the children needed something to choose an ice cream. When asked if she was stressed, she replied rudely, "that's just the way it is." No matter how much stress there is, the guest shouldn't notice anything. However, we are not inhumane and understand if things don't go smoothly right away. The food was placed on the table over our heads and the drink was handed to us. When asked if she had a glass of water to put the bouquet in, she said if she had time she would bring one! Of course this didn't happen. We then flushed an empty beer glass down the toilet and used it. We had reserved as a birthday party. A waiter who brought us 3 meals to the table was the only one who had a smile and was friendly. (a little older)

Food was good, but service left something to be desired. Long waiting times and the wrong dishes were brought out. Empty plates and glasses were cleared away very late or not at all. We were eating with a large group and had said beforehand that it was someone's birthday. Unfortunately, it was completely forgotten and no one even asked who the birthday child was. When asked if the lady was stressed, the answer was that it is just the way it is. Absolute no go.

We were a large group of 14 people for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere is really nice. The food was okay for a brewery. In the outdoor area, a maximum of half of the tables were occupied; in the indoor area, we were the only occupied table. The toilets are not clean. In the men's toilets, the water and urine flow out of the urinals, so you inevitably have to walk through them. Even after staying for almost 3 hours, nothing changed. The service, however, is a complete disaster. Unfriendly and really snotty. We had to wait 30 minutes for the drinks order. After another 45 minutes you were allowed to order food. The food was brought very quickly, but there were 2 wrong orders and one meal was completely forgotten. The starters were then brought during the main course. We then rejected it and had to cancel it. Basically, we understand stressed service staff. However, the lady who served us was so unfriendly, snotty and unprofessional that I have never experienced that in my 50s. For this arrogant reason of unfriendliness, we will no longer visit this restaurant.

Great location, very good food. Unfortunately service was very bad. Why? Apparently overwhelmed due to high number of guests or whatever. A few small key points: - Reserved table not ready. - Waiting time because of that. - no service staff present - after the delicious meal, not having the foresight to clear things up from the staff, let alone ask about their satisfaction... - only available to order drinks upon request (another 20 minutes later). - When the billing took place at some point, it was not open to expression of opinion... - Thank you, goodbye, hopefully you were satisfied.... none. Sorry for this statement, but unfortunately that's how it was!

First of all: the food was really good, plentiful and there was nothing to complain about. 6 people all different dishes ö, all at the same time, why and every plate delicious. Ambience: nice, big, modern... Great... However, it was really loud on Saturday evening, so you could hardly follow your own conversations. Now to the absolute crux of the matter: the service At first our table was still occupied. The waitress said "you can sit down when it becomes available". So far so good. 5 minutes later we could sit down. It took an estimated 25 minutes to clear up, the table wasn't wiped. It took another 20 minutes to order the drinks. After delivery, another good 40 minutes to order the food. Then it took forever to clear away and another eternity to place another drink order. Criticism was not even accepted. Short version: Great food, poor service.

It's nice to sit outside, which we did for the second time today. Inside the interior is in an industrial style, which I really like... beautiful! We'll be happy to sit there in bad weather. The service is very courteous and friendly. Today I ate the 3 bratwursts with sauerkraut and puree. They were served in an iron pan and I really enjoyed them. My companion also liked the Brauhaus salad with fried potatoes and fried egg. I think it's nice that you can order roulade. I had it last time and I really liked it too. We'll be back 🙂.

The atmosphere is very nice and the service is good, but not particularly friendly. Unfortunately the food was a disaster. The shank consisted more of fat than meat and the meat was of poor quality. Given the higher prices, we would have expected more. 2 of us (both had the knuckle or the knuckle pan) had massive gastrointestinal problems after eating. The burger was OK. We probably won't come back.

Service and ambience top, food just mediocre. The Serrano and olives look like they came from the supermarket. The bread dry. Main courses aren't great, but they fill you up. However, I think that the price-performance ratio is not right at all.

Were here for Father's Day. Quite nice but too expensive due to the holiday. However, the restaurant looks very interesting. We will visit it again on another day.

Nice location, you can also sit outside. Service is nice, there's nothing to complain about. While eating. Why does a salad with chicken pieces cost €26? It's a huge portion, but it's so big that it's impossible to finish it. And you can hardly pack a salad. Otherwise the food is obviously a lot of convenience with strong fluctuations in quality. Unfortunately, I didn't have such a good experience in this restaurant yesterday. In general it can be said that the ambience of the brewery is very nice. I moved to Erkrath six months ago, my partner has always lived here. The landlord of the brewery showed me the location at the time and praised the Bauhaus highly. Of course I always wanted to go, but my partner wasn't that enthusiastic because she hadn't liked the food that much in the past. Two or three months ago I was able to get my way, but I have to say she was right. Nice ambience but the food was just okay. Yesterday I wanted to give the brewery a second chance. We were in the beer garden and I wanted something light to eat. I ordered the brewery salad, which consists of fried potatoes and a fried egg. I was wondering why the food was completely ready after just a few minutes. Preparing the fried potatoes usually takes a few minutes. After I saw the potatoes, I realized why. These were soaked with oil and partly lukewarm. Both in terms of taste and appearance, you could tell that the potatoes had been fried in oil for the second time. The potatoes were soaked with old and new oil. Of course I left a large part of the food alone, my partner only tried a potato wedge. The food upset my stomach in the evening and ended in diarrhea. Even my partner felt unpleasantly full after eating a piece of potato. You can also read in numerous other reviews that the food is only mediocre. It is impossible to determine whether the kitchen made a big mistake or whether it was a requirement of the company. I have nothing against slightly higher prices for food, but the quality of the food and the quality of its preparation should match the price level. We won't eat here anymore, just drink something. I would have liked to express my criticism personally, but there was only one service for inside/outside and counter. For me it's just understaffed. Because of this, he probably forgot to ask if everything was okay because of the stress.

Today I went there with my wife for dinner and then we planned to watch a Fortuna game where we also reserved seats to watch by phone. We each ordered a main course and something to drink with it. During the meal I repeat. During the meal a waiter came from the bar and asked us to move because another group was registered to watch football. How rude can you be to guests? Immediately afterwards we paid and left. We also told the employee about it, but she was more worried that she hadn't received a tip. The behavior was kebab shop style and we won't eat there anymore because that's not how you treat guests. We've been there several times and so far we've always been satisfied. We even celebrated my wife's birthday there with a lot of guests, but what happened there today was amazing the bottom of the barrel.

We had schnitzel and spare ribs. Meat was good. Side dishes were ok. Fried potatoes tasteless and not crispy. Unfortunately, salad didn't suit our taste at all. Not recommended for people with small children. There is no other option than changing the child in the toilet on the not very hygienic floor. No changing table and even in the quiet corners of the restaurant where it shouldn't bother anyone, the service directs you to the toilet.

The ambience is chosen very tastefully for my taste. Due to the high ceilings and the size of the room, the noise level is sometimes high when the room is at full capacity. But that wasn't a big deal for me. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. It would also be worth 6 stars 🌟. The food was very nicely prepared and we were thrilled with the taste. We once had the gypsy schnitzel and the au gratin asparagus on wild herb salad from the seasonal menu - very, very tasty!!! In the summer we like to come back to the outdoor terrace.

Ein Brauhaus, das toll eingerichtet ist und ein richtiger Hingucker, aber das Essen ist viel zu teuer und nicht von so hoher Qualität, wie man es erwarten würde. Die Preise sind absolut überzogen, ein Schnitzel kostet über 22 Euro, ein Burger etwa 18 Euro, und Spargel mit Kartoffeln und Sauce schlägt mit über 22 Euro für nur 250 Gramm zu Buche. Hinzu kommt, dass den Gerichten der Pfiff fehlt und manches einfach nicht schmackhaft ist. Positiv ist das leckere trübe Bier zu erwähnen, ebenso wie die nette Bedienung. Insgesamt schade für eine so schöne Location.

The restaurant is also easily accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. There are also enough parking spaces available. All in all, a successful evening.

Wonderful, stylish ambience in industrial design in the old paper factory with mega high ceilings and very pleasant lighting. Seating is comfortable. I love it. Is worth a visit. Price/performance 😬. See photos menu (prices website Stone Age. Potato wedges: the day before yesterday everyone's side dishes were floury, not tasty and it took quite a lot of beer to get them down. Side salad: still crunchy and, if desired, with oil and vinegar dressing, which was delicious. All dishes were served hot and quickly. You should know this: The Pinsa with salami and cheese was just a smaller, gratinated pizza for €14(!!!). The pulled burger was okay in terms of taste, but unfortunately not a highlight at all for the price. Goulash soup 18€ in the brewery? 😵 I think it's more than okay that dishes with meat cost a lot. But the veggie burger was similarly priced. Not OK. Still 4* because it's just nice to sit here. And the beers were ice cold and tasty. We'll (maybe) come back for that.

There were four of us here. Man received a friendly welcome. The drinks and food we chose were served quickly. In between, the service staff always asked if we would like anything else. The food was tasty and normal price-performance ratio. Despite the large space, it was easy to have a conversation. You should make a reservation.

I like these old factory buildings, they exude the charm of the 1950s and earlier; there used to be a lot of hard work here. The beer tastes damn good, the atmosphere is wonderful and the service is nice and quick. We didn't try the food, we all (4 people) found the prices way too overpriced, all the prices were on average higher than the prices in Düsseldorf's old town and that's saying something!!!!

Easter Monday at noon, everything was great. It wasn't fully occupied and therefore not too loud.

Nice location for a company dinner, but also larger celebrations or meetings (indoors). Despite the size, the ambient noise from other guests is surprisingly "muffled". The food was delicious and the service was on point. If the weather is nice you can also sit outside, which I would like to do next time I visit.

Unfortunately the menu on the internet is no longer up to date, prices are up to €5 higher...Unfortunately I can't recommend the food, my schnitzel only tasted like fat, the champions were from a can and the fries were too salty...we won't be coming back. ..

Nachdem ich Weihnachten da war und man keine Info hatte, das es nur eine Weihnachtskarte gab, wenig auf dem Teller, Preis teuer. Heute waren wir wieder da, im Internet die Speisekarte und vor Ort, gab es es eine neue Speisekarte mit natürlich höheren Preisen. Da werde ich so schnell nicht wieder hingehen. Einfach peinlich meine Freunden gegenüber.

When I was looking for a restaurant that was also open on Mondays in this area, I luckily ended up in this brewery... and that was certainly not a mistake... because the style of the location is simply stunning and super cool... it The menu is typical of a brewery...very suitable selection...absolutely tasty...portion size is great...prices are still reasonable...plus a good selection of draft beers...so you can be full, no longer thirsty and satisfied Leaving the inn again... a new visit is not out of the question if the path leads in this direction again...🍻😋

We've been there twice now, the first time I had ribs, which were rather tasteless. On the second visit there was pork knuckle, which was super tasty, but the chicken wings from my companion were totally dry... The cellars take a lot of time to serve, so that the people from the neighboring table who still hadn't been served after 15 minutes of arrival left. We would like attentive staff and better cuisine.

Have eaten at the brewery several times now. Very good service and good food. It is better to reserve in advance on weekends with several people. So far we (2 people) have always been able to get a place. Update February 2024: We have now left for the umpteenth time after 15 minutes because the waitress really doesn't feel the need to serve guests. So that's not possible, but the main thing is to give a stupid saying at the entrance🧐

Bauhaus with a very pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. The drinks are good, but I think the food could be improved. My kale was so seasoned with mustard that the taste of the kale was completely lost and there was no mustard for the sausage. The fact that Himmel und Äd was served with gravy was also new to me and unfortunately not mentioned anywhere on the menu. The knuckle was delicious.
