I don't want to talk about the food! Some things go beyond common sense! They charged us €1.50 for an extra dish! Never happened to me in my life!!! AVOID IT!

We moved to Herrsching in August. Since then, we've been visiting the Herrsching Brewery two or three times a month. No matter the day or time, whether it's 6 pm or 8:45 pm, the staff are always friendly and the food is simply delicious! We love coming here. You're always welcome, and everything is just so tasty! I highly recommend it.

Extremely unfriendly and unmotivated service. When I asked if there were any vegan options, I was snapped at with "we're a Bavarian inn" and then treated rudely and curtly. They didn't even attempt to offer anything or check with the kitchen. I hadn't realized until then that "Bavarian inn" meant being treated rudely and inflexibly as a guest. Luckily, I've experienced it differently. At the Andechser Klosterstüberl, for example, guests are always taken seriously, and they have a Bavarian menu that actually updates over time. Unfortunately, there's really no need for Brauhaus Herrsching.

We had the semolina dumpling soup and pork knuckle, and both were absolutely delicious. The side dishes (coleslaw and two dumplings) that came with the knuckle were perfect and the portion size was ideal, as the knuckle was really big! We unfortunately had to leave a little bit for ourselves, otherwise we would have been stuffed. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces, which was very pleasant. The atmosphere was a mix of rustic, Bavarian, and a bit modern. We'd love to come back on our next vacation. A fantastic end to our trip.

A fantastic place! If you're looking for a great spot for Bavarian cuisine near Lake Ammersee, this is the place to go. Great beer garden and very friendly and attentive service. We had Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). They were really good, as was the mixed green salad. Just like home-style cooking! 👌 The beer is also excellent, and we highly recommend the ice cream. Our dogs were welcome and weren't a problem at all, even though they needed a bit more space. We even got a little something extra at the end. Very thoughtful! We'll definitely be back! Update: We were there again today with our dogs. The schnitzel with fries and the cordon bleu were excellent. Just like last time, we were treated to very warm and attentive service, and our dogs were given great care. Highly recommended!

Beautifully rustic with a great beer garden, plenty of parking spaces and also serving beer from the Irsee monastery brewery.

A spontaneous stop following a Google Maps recommendation. The exterior is truly quaint and cozy. The interior may be traditional (as my predecessor noted), but it could definitely be nicer and more inviting. One wonders why such a gem isn't spruced up more. The staff was attentive and very friendly, and the food was excellent. A very nice menu.

After a lovely day trip, we stopped at the Bräustüberl and ordered Wiener Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, and Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). The atmosphere is truly rustic and wonderful. The service is good and fast. Unfortunately, the food was really bad. The Schnitzel had a poor breading, was very pale, and dripped with grease. It tasted like something from a large, well-known butcher chain. The breading on the Cordon Bleu would taste better if it weren't soaked in grease. The same was true for the fries! The Käsespätzle were the worst of it; they tasted like lumps of cheese and flour. The fried onions were also a culinary disaster. After the server asked if everything was alright, we gave him our honest opinion. On the plus side, they didn't charge us for the Käsespätzle. A once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. Thanks, but never again!

Quaint brewery. Prompt service. Good value for money. Very large portions, but smaller portions are also available. Everything was delicious. Reservations are recommended, even during the week. The only downside: the lack of a children's menu.

Bavarian pub culture is alive and well here! It starts with the delicious beer, the Otto's Spezial, from the in-house brewery! I like it🤗 The ox cheeks with apple and red cabbage and spaetzle were an outstanding taste experience👌 I also like the rustic, quaint style of the restaurant. The service is very friendly, attentive, and pleasant. I'll definitely be back here again! Highly recommended!

So good, in fact, that we went there two days in a row. The food is absolutely fantastic. I recommend the crispy knuckle of pork or the ox cheeks. The house-brewed beers are truly delicious. The dark, spicy beer has potential for improvement. The service is prompt and super friendly. A visit is definitely worth it!

But hello, the reviews. I can't confirm that. At the entrance they were already looking for a chef and kitchen helpers, which should normally be a red flag. Unfortunately, that was also confirmed. The duck we ordered was so pale, as if it had only seen the oven with sun protection factor 50. The sauce was a taste dead end that cannot be described. The dumplings were below average and the red cabbage could also be better. The schnitzel with fries we ordered was also hastily dipped in the deep fryer and the shape of the schnitzel suggests pressed meat; unfortunately, the fries arrived lukewarm to cold. The Brauchhaus schnitzel with baked potato and sour cream that we ordered was the low point of Bavarian cuisine in terms of taste. So if there is a sign at the entrance saying chef wanted, then stick to the best. In this case, a beer.

The food tastes excellent, no matter what you order. I've tried a few dishes. The roast pork always has that thick layer of fat in front of the crispy rind, which you have to like; it used to be leaner. But the taste is fantastic, with the delicious dark beer sauce, dumplings, and coleslaw. I always enjoy visiting the Brauhaus Herrsching.

I recently visited Bräuhaus Herrsching and, unfortunately, I have to say that overall, it didn't leave a particularly good impression. The food was mediocre (2 stars) – neither really bad nor convincingly good, more geared toward mass consumption. The location, right in the center of Herrsching, is generally attractive, and the ambiance could actually be rustic, but much of it seems a bit rundown. The clientele reflected this. Mass processing is clearly the main focus; I didn't sense much comfort or special flair. Overall, therefore, average at best (3 stars for location and ambiance). Not a place I'd necessarily visit again.

The seating is nice, but the service is unfortunately really not good – something was often forgotten, main courses were brought, but we had to wait more than 10 minutes for cutlery, and only after asking. The food was okay, but not good. For example, the turkey breast wasn't particularly fresh. The fries and salad were good, as was the atmosphere – but overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant is traditionally decorated and has beautiful outdoor lighting. The home-brewed beer is delicious, and the menu offers everything you'd want to try in Bavaria. Another plus is the pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The brewery is worth a visit!

We were a group of seven people and ate there three evenings in four days. Delicious food, delicious beer, and consistently friendly, attentive service. Excellent value for money, too. This is the all-round, worry-free package. I've rarely been so impressed by a brewery. We'll be back!

A truly fantastic brewery in the style of an old farmhouse, with a fantastic beer garden, attentive and friendly service, home-brewed beer, and excellent cuisine. For me, it's an absolute must-visit, alongside Andechs Monastery.

A very nice, rustic brewery with delicious food and good beer. The service was very friendly and responsive to all situations. The food is fresh and tasty. There was a slight mishap with the doneness of my steak, but a replacement was delivered in a reasonable time, and the second steak was cooked to perfection. All in all, the restaurant is always worth a visit and can only be recommended.

We ate here with two children. The staff were very kind, and even though they warned us that since there were only two of us and the place was full, they would take a bit longer, we were served quickly. The cheese platter was excellent, as were the potato gnocchi. The cutlets were superb. One waitress spoke very good English. I really liked their beer, so I actually bought one 😃 reasonable prices.

Authentic selection of Bavarian cuisine, tried the pork Schweinshaxe - what an experience! It was large enough for two people, perfectly crisp served over a beer gravy. Followed with an apple strudel and ice cream, light sweet delicate flavor served warm! There was a live band entertaining too, had a great time!

Very, very good food! We had roast pork and cordon bleu and were both very impressed. Really good food! Service and location were also top-notch. Unfortunately, there's no lake view and a short walk from the lake, but the food is all the more impressive. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. The gentleman who welcomed me asked me straight away if I had a reservation (it's the tone that counts), but I had to say no, as it was spontaneous. So I wasn't allowed to leave, even though there were plenty of free tables (supposedly reserved). I was there for a good 1.5 hours, and until I left, the same table was always free 🙈, and there were plenty of free seats on the other side as well. I must have been alone, and that's why I wasn't allowed to leave. Furthermore, new people kept coming in without reservations and were escorted outside. After I confronted the gentleman about it shortly before I left, he behaved completely unprofessionally and simply said, "Why would I argue with him?" It was my first time at this place and certainly the last time, thanks to this gentleman (arrogant, stuck-up). But there are also positives. The lady who served me was super friendly 👍.

A super-beautiful brewery with excellent beer. Unfortunately, we didn't eat, so no food review. But the owner is very friendly, the beer garden is lovely, and the menu is excellent. Simply a wonderful place.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. Service was mixed. One waiter vehemently wanted to send us away (we were soaked—waiting wouldn't have been possible), but his colleague checked, we were able to wait, and 15 minutes later, we were seated. A big plus: Wheelchair access, with a disabled-accessible restroom on the ground floor.

We had reserved a table here, and the barracks-like tone was immediately noticeable upon greeting. Not a single friendly word of greeting, just "Have you reserved?"... "then follow"... The food was delicious, but not a single friendly word here either. "Please/Thank you/Did you enjoy it..." comes across very sparingly, if at all.

The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice, and the service was good too. 5 stars for that. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. We had four portions of schnitzel, and none of us enjoyed it. The taste and texture of the schnitzels were very reminiscent of ready-made schnitzels from a large Munich butcher chain at the lunch counter – two small, thin pieces, each about 8x10 cm in size. For €17.90 per portion, I expect significantly higher quality! It tasted like a ready-made schnitzel for restaurants that just needs to be deep-fried. I can make it much better at home – and I don't pay too much for food. I told the waitress that I didn't like the schnitzel. She was friendly but insisted it wasn't a ready-made product. I would have been surprised to admit that. Some of the reviews here share my opinion. It's a shame – we expected more based on the good reviews, but we won't be coming back.

I had the Wiener Schnitzel, which was carelessly prepared and presented. I also find the extra €1.50 for cranberries a bit outrageous; at that price, they should have been included. Unfortunately, it was also a bit too spicy/salty. We wanted to have the rest wrapped and would have had to pay an extra €1 for the wrapping. As an alternative, she simply offered us aluminum foil. We decided to go for it. She placed a large piece of aluminum foil on the table, and we were then left to do it ourselves, which was very laborious. We were served by an older woman, which was a disaster. No one even asked if everything was okay or whether we enjoyed the food, etc.

After the first evening, I became a repeat customer...why: delicious food, good value for money, super friendly service, dogs allowed (who were immediately given water and treats), and thus an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you very much!

We've eaten here several times and have always been more than satisfied. The seating inside and outside is lovely, the food was consistently excellent, and the staff was always friendly and extremely quick, even when it was really busy. By the way, you can also order draft beer to take home for a party.

You can go, but you don't have to. The food is good, but nothing more. The service, unfortunately, isn't that great. Tables to my right and left were served immediately. It also looked as if everyone knew each other. But it doesn't matter. Four servers and everyone just walked past me. Maybe I should have been jumping and clapping. After 10 minutes, I was asked if I had decided yet. Should I laugh or cry? Place my order. Unfortunately, no fried potatoes, but fries 👎. The starter soup came pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the fun continued. After the waitress noticed that I was patiently waiting for my main course, she called out "kimmt klei" as she flew past 🤨 and didn't even know she meant me. Well, the food came later. Unfortunately without fries 👎, another wait. Well, the food was good, but it could have been better! At the end, one of the waitresses stroked the dog at the neighbor's table and then served the next guests. All in all, I have to say that things are only going downhill from here. Please don't put up with these situations. We can all do better!!!

Beautiful inn with a beer garden (although it's only open Friday to Sunday). The food is good (roast pork is well-cooked and tender, the cordon bleu is spicy and hearty with a good coating). The prices are "normal" for the area (roast pork €17.90, cordon bleu €19.90, etc.). The salad with fried goat cheese was also very good! The home-brewed beer is very good, and the non-alcoholic wheat beer (not from the brewery) was also very tasty. The service was friendly. All in all, a good Bavarian restaurant with a fair price-performance ratio!

Inspired by the menu posted by the operator, we discovered that the prices of the dishes had been increased by 40 to 50%. Posting or leaving such outdated or incorrect information on Google is, in my opinion, gross customer deception. I didn't eat anything and won't be back.

Very, very good food. We went there four times in a row during our stay in Herrsching. Anything else would have disappointed us.

The food is below average. My beefchecks were tough, the duck was more than dry, the potato dumpling rubbery and the sauces to salty. The waiters don't do a good job either, first nobody could find a reservation then we got seated in middle of the sun at 30 degress, than a other waiter told us we can sit somewhere else, just to get told by another waiter that the allocated table is blocked. The atmosphere is nice though if you want a classic bavarian restaurant with outdoor seating.

Unser Hund wurde sehr herzlich empfangen und bekam direkt einen Wassernapf und eine Packung „Königshappen“ (Leckerlis). Das Essen kam sehr zügig und war sehr lecker. Dazu ein leckeres Bier. Zu empfehlen!

Eine Katastrophe ! Die Reservierung eines Tisches war zwar Tage vorher telefonisch erfolgt, die Chefin hatte sie dann aber einfach an dem Tage vergessen. Noch dazu war der Kellner war die Schusseligkeit in Person - mit seinem Job völlig überfordert. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe dort. Ständig brachte der Kellner / die Bedienung Dinge, die überhaupt nicht bestellt waren, so z.B. kleine Salate statt bestellter großer Salate, mehrmals ein Bier das gar nicht bestellt war, usw. Am Ende, als jeder aus der Gruppe getrennt bezahlt hat, setzte er dann sogar noch Essensgerichte ungefragt einfach bei anderen mit auf die Rechnung (so dass jemand zwei Hauptgerichte bezahlen sollte), obwohl derjenige ihm gegenüber klar aufgezählt hatte, was er alles konsumierte hatte (ein Hauptgericht und Getränke). Als dann gegen Ende gegenüber den Chefs (älteres Ehepaar, insbesondere die Chefin machte einen vom Leben frustrierten Eindruck in der Art ihres Auftretens und ihrer Ausdrucksweise ) deswegen um mehr Sorgfalt gebeten wurde (denn das Maß an Pleiten und Pannen war dann irgendwann ja mal voll), wurden diese sogar gegenüber den Gästen pampig. Die Schuld für das eigene Unvermögen bzw. für das fortgesetzte Organisationsversagen im eigenen Laden wollten sie dann am besten noch dem Gast in die Schuhe schieben. Keine Fähigkeit zur Selbstreflexion bei den Betreibern, keine Einsicht. Unmöglich ! Nie wieder !

A catastrophe! A table reservation had been made by phone days in advance, but the manager simply forgot about it that day. On top of that, the waiter was the epitome of clumsiness—completely overwhelmed by his job. We were there with a group. The waiter/waitress constantly brought things that hadn't been ordered at all, such as small salads instead of the large ones ordered, several times a beer that hadn't been ordered, etc. At the end, when everyone in the group paid separately, he even added other people's meals to their bills without asking (so that someone had to pay for two main courses), even though the person had clearly listed everything they had consumed (a main course and drinks). Towards the end, when we asked the managers (an elderly couple, the manager in particular, seemed frustrated with life in her demeanor and manner of speaking) to be more diligent (because the amount of failures and mishaps had reached its limit), they even became rude to the guests. They then tried to blame the guests for their own incompetence and the continued organizational failures in their own store. The operators lack the ability to self-reflect, and they lack insight. Impossible! Never again!

As dachshund owners, we naturally had to stop by. Our dog lay peacefully on his blanket, the service was prompt, and the food arrived very quickly. Just like our first visit, it was delicious. We'd love to come back.

This beautifully situated little brewery is definitely worth a visit. Featuring an idyllic beer garden amidst meadows on the outskirts of town and a clearly visible brewery, it exudes a homely and cozy charm. In addition to the excellent food (we had brown trout and Schenehaxe), the attentive and professional service is also noteworthy. Karin served us with her engaging manner, who also told us a lot about the brewery and the surrounding area. All this at a truly fair price. We had a truly lovely afternoon there.

The servers were very attentive despite the busy schedule. The brewery has plenty of space, and there's also a private parking lot in front of the venue. Your home-brewed beer is a culinary delight.
