Were there yesterday and celebrated my best friend's birthday, had a Schäuferle, the meat was buttery soft, the rind was crispy and crispy as it should be, the service staff were on point and friendly, all in all a great evening again

Best sauerbraten with gingerbread sauce

The gluten-free schnitzel was breaded with egg. Unfortunately neither the meat nor the egg was seasoned. The prepared dumplings are left without a cover right next to the sink in which the dishes are pre-washed with a sharp jet of water.

We made a reservation online a few days in advance for 7 people for a Saturday at 6 p.m., which was honored despite the restaurant being full, which is a positive thing. The staff was very friendly and brought our drinks quickly. The food was very tasty and had decent, filling portions, which is why we wanted to take the leftovers with us. They offered us aluminum foil to wrap the leftover meat, which I honestly found a bit ridiculous and I would have had to pay an extra €1 for my pasta with wild mushrooms if I had wanted to have it wrapped in proper packaging. I chose the free aluminum foil. I also found it disgusting and unhygienic that the beer container in which the napkins and cutlery were placed was wet at the bottom and smelled of alcohol residue. The napkins could therefore no longer be used. Otherwise I found the ambience interesting and there were no other problems.

Very tasty dishes. Price performance ratio is right. The beer tastes very tasty and we would love to come back. Keep it up

We have been a guest with 6 people on New Year's Eve for many years. Everyone completely satisfied. I had the veal liver with potato salad. The liver is perfect, but the potato salad doesn't go well with the liver; I would prefer mashed potatoes, hence the star less. The beer garden also invites you to linger.

Warm food throughout. The service was super friendly and from the soups to the main courses to the gingerbread pana cotta, everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. The selection was so large and appealing that we would be happy to come back. By the way, there are also various vegetarian dishes.

Beer could be poured a little better...this has been observed several times now. Constantly under the "line", especially at a brewery restaurant. Otherwise everything was great!!!!!!!!

The menu offers a wide range of typical Franconian dishes such as Schäuferla, Schnitzel... The beer from the in-house brewery is very good. The food is very tasty and the prices are fair. A rustic inn with delicious food and tasty beer. What we particularly liked was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone is bustling around here with a smile on their face. You can feel that everyone in the team enjoys working there. An absolute rarity these days. We'll be back!

The duck was very good, but the meat of the Schäuferle was unfortunately a bit firm. Should have stayed in the oven longer. What I didn't like was that I had to order the red cabbage separately with the duck and the side salad also costs €5 extra. It really wasn't worth it. Carelessly prepared and too expensive at €5. The salad also had to be ordered separately with the carp. Who eats carp without a side dish? This is a bit of a rip off for me. Next, the dumpling and the sauce for the frying have to be ordered separately. I don't think this development with the hidden costs is good. If that doesn't bother you, you're in good hands there. The service was very nice.

Excellent food in a nice village inn with an attached brewery.

We spontaneously felt like having Schäufele and called on Wednesday evening to order and pick up. Shortly before the kitchen closed we got really large and very tasty Schäufele. The dining room was well filled and the landlord was very nice. I would almost say that this was the best Schäufele I have ever eaten. From now on we will be eating/getting Schäufele more often in the future.

Cozy, Franconian inn with a modern touch. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty, everything was fresh, the portions were generous. We had Schäufele with dumpling, Schäufele with fries, roast pork with dumpling and salad (salad costs extra, but ok because it's fresh and tasty) and colorful salads with rösti and sheep's cheese. The prices are completely reasonable - or rather, the dishes are more than worth their price. We'd love to come back!

Stopped there on a Sunday lunchtime for refreshment during a hike. Reservations can be made very easily online, but also by telephone. We had two cordon bleues with salad and fries, which we can highly recommend. The selection of drinks was also very tasty. As is typical for breweries, there were many types of beer to choose from. The service was absolutely fine and the beer garden was very inviting to linger. Prices are middle-class. I'd love to come back.

Cozy beer garden, we were there during the hop weeks and it was very crowded that Sunday. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait long. And the Franconian bratwursts with sauerkraut were very tasty. And then we were even able to unexpectedly pay by card 😁 There was also a brewery tour during the hop weeks.

Schäufele and Franconian bratwurst were excellent. Radler is very tasty because it is not sweet like most of the time. In-house light very good. Also very attentive service. And before I forget, the cappuccino and espresso were also very good.

Bei meinem Besuch war die Hütte voll und trotzdem war alles perfekt. Ganz großes Lob an die Mannschaft von Wiethaler. Alle waren super freundlich und der Stress war ihnen nicht anzumerken. Das Essen (Zwiebelrostbraten) und das Bier (Hell) kann ich nur empfehlen.

It was easy to get a place on the terrace in changeable weather, and rain-soaked tables and chairs were wiped down several times. Had a delicious meal, satisfied and happy guests, thank you.

Great atmosphere, good food, everything authentic and uncomplicated. What is surprising is the good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The service is extremely attentive but not intrusive. Lovely beergarden, service is very friendly (especially for the notoriously grumpy Franconians) and the food is top class. Quite a large vegetarian selection as well. You can combine a visit with a nice walk/hike in the surrounding countryside. We have been here quite a few times now.

My wife and I won't forget Friday evening either: We made reservations at 6:30 p.m. In addition to the drinks, we ordered: 1 pancake soup and 2 Schäufele. After 3/4 hour, 2 Schäufele were served. After talking to the waiter about where the soup was, the Schäufele were brought back. My wife turned the corner of her mouth down. Unfortunately, the soup, which was brought after another 20 minutes of waiting, wasn't tasty. Too watery and not enough deposit. The Schäufele were finally served. But we had lost our appetite. The unfriendliness and indifference of the staff is particularly worth mentioning. There was no apology - nor was there a price reduction.

An unforgettable evening at Wietaler: Friday 6:30 p.m. Table reserved for 2 people. My wife ordered Schäufele and I ordered pancake soup and Schäufele. After 3/4 hour the two Schäufele were served. After arguing with the waiter and pointing out that there was no soup for me, the two Schäufele were brought back. My wife's mouth turned down. After another 20 minutes the soup finally arrived. It was pretty tasteless and had far too few pancake strips. The Schäufele that were brought in after 20 minutes didn't really taste good anymore after this performance. There was no apology or discount. But what bothered us most was the unfriendly and uncomprehending communication from the waiter.

A Franconian experience with friendly staff

!Dog unfriendly! Never again! Today at lunchtime we were a family with a small dog (3kg) and our 92 year old!!! Grandma wanted to go out to dinner, so we were looking forward to a happy Mother's Day. We had made a reservation and were assigned a spot in the garden. Since everything under the table was unfortunately full of leaves and greenery, especially broken glass, we put our little dog (3kg, mind you) on an old beer garden chair in the corner with his own blanket. One of us had already placed our drink order when a young, very unfriendly waitress came and said the dog had to get down on the floor. When our waitress came back to take the food, we explained this and she kindly said let him sit quietly. When the boss came, she very rudely put us back in our place and told us to put the dog on the floor. Into the broken glass and the dirt? After a short back and forth she told us: "The dog has to go now", seriously? We were already at the Hotel Sacher ***** with our small dog and this wasn't a problem there. We were even offered an extra chair at an upscale Italian restaurant in Nuremberg-Fischbach! But to cause such a ruckus in a peasant economy? In general, it is never a problem to let a dog as small as ours sit upstairs. We were regulars for decades until we moved away. With a lot of kids making a lot of noise in the economy. And then something like that? Thank you for making Mother's Day so exciting for us, our dog and our 92 year old grandma! Luckily we found a restaurant that still had space and welcomed us and our dog in a humane and dog-friendly manner!!! Never again Wiethaler!!!!

Very good and fast service, despite all the tables in the beautiful beer garden being full. The taste of the home-brewed wheat beer flowed very pleasantly down the throat. Definitely we will come back.

Good country inn. Has a nice beer garden, but were inside due to the weather.

We've been eating and drinking there regularly for several years. The beer garden is beautiful, the beer still tastes best locally and the food is really, really good. But last Saturday was the highlight: we ate ribs and sauerbraten, the ribs were really awesome, as was the sauce from the sauerbraten. I've rarely eaten something so good. I just feel right at home here!

On the way back from vacation we were hungry and tried our luck in this picturesque village. Despite it being Easter Sunday and without a reservation, we immediately got a nice seat in the beer garden after a warm welcome from the service staff. The food was very tasty and the beer was great 🍺

We had reservations for 6 people at 5 p.m When we arrived we were seated at "our" table, after 5 minutes we were told that we had to move because it had probably been reserved for a larger group. We then waited another 5 minutes until our table was free and we could finally move into it. When we got there, we first got the cards. Since we had already said when we made the reservation that we would all like a Schäuferle, the menu was now more for looking at drinks. We placed the drink order and told the waiter that we all wanted Schäuferle, who said that was it! At our request, he went into the kitchen, where he was told that "our" Schäuferle were still available, lucky him! Drinks came quite quickly, although a beer was forgotten. The food was good, it was warm and absolutely sufficient! The salad is not available as standard with ANY dish; you can order a side salad for an additional charge of €3.20. Apart from the initial difficulties, I would recommend the location

After the tenant changed, we checked out the restaurant today. You have to say clearly that there is still room for improvement, but you can improve and reviews can be adjusted. After making reservations for 7 p.m., we had dinner at 8:15 p.m. At first there was no menu, then we wanted to order and they told us what was up. So choose again. The map itself is small but nice. But when two dishes are out, things get tight. The wheat was not full and the side salad was also a bit tight (see pictures). The food was ok. Unfortunately, toilets with sauce were served with bread dumplings. The mushrooms were very salty. When we ordered dessert, the kitchen was already 8:40 p.m. Dear team, please organize yourself better and even if the question arises whether everything fits, what should the guest say? I hope it will be better next time! Now we were there again. The food is good again! We got what we ordered and it tasted very good. However, the beer was still not full.

Beautifully located in the small suburb of Lauf, the restaurant can be found directly on the thoroughfare. Cozy and rustic furnishings make you feel welcome right from the start. The young waitresses are very friendly and accommodating. The portions were large and the taste was excellent. We had a lovely evening and would love to come back The Thursday regulars' table in Röthenbach 🍻

Ehefrau Sauerbraten mit Klos: Klöße wie Tennisbälle .Braten total zu sauer. Werde hier nicht mehr so schnell einkehren

Sehr nette und schnelle Bedienungen Essen ist fränkische Küche und meiner Meinung nach sehr gut hatte heute wieder einen Karpfen und zum schwimmen lassen einen Weizenbock alles sehr lecker und zum Abschluss ein Kürbis Pannacotta meine Kinder und Frau hatten Käsespätzle sehr schön in einer Pfanne angerichtet sowie ein Megaschnitzel für den jüngsten ich kann es immer wieder empfehlen und war schon sehr häufig hier . Wir kommen gerne wieder

Schönes fränkische Lokal, gute Küche, leckere Biere aus eigener Brauerei. Ich empfehle Red Resi.
