A great restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. The ambiance is very rustic, which fits the concept.

I highly recommend the Brauberger. I went there with a friend to round off our photo tour. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff super friendly, and the food absolutely delicious. Booking a table in advance is definitely a good idea! So, if you're in Lübeck, be sure to stop by.

I wouldn't have thought a restaurant owner in such a venerable location would dare to serve such bad food. The schnitzel was a cheap frozen treat with no soul. The fish was so-so. It's best to just enjoy the beer and the atmosphere. You can still get one of the best schnitzels at Triple Mixxx.

A traditional pub with good kitchen in the center of the city. The staff is untrained and uninterested. We were served beer twice as the waiters are not coordinating their work. The basement is touristy with replicas of historical objects. The kitchen closes at 10. No food after that. Small garden but lot of places inside on 3 levels.

This is type of resturant I wanted to visit during our trip to Germany and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the service despite being busy were friendly and efficient.

The interior has a rustic ambiance. On the outdoor terrace, you feel a bit cramped by the surrounding walls. Delicious beer, with a variety of varieties. Food not recommended: the schnitzel was pre-ordered and straight from the deep fryer, the fried potatoes were hard and greasy, and the cucumber salad was tasty. The brewery-style pan wasn't any better. Portions too small for the price. The service just lobs general questions and isn't interested in the answers: Did you like it? Well, okay. No response... Okay for drinks and for passing through. And don't bother changing the color of the battery candles!

Once again, everything was perfect here. The food was excellent, and the waiter was the fastest and most reliable on our trip between Rügen and Lübeck.

Nothing special. The beer was good, but the food was disappointing. Nothing special, not warm enough, and the fried potatoes tasted burnt. No salad with the meal. The sandwich was two small pistolets. But worst of all, they charge a premium. I've had better for half the price. I wouldn't go there again.

It had a lovely courtyard, and the service was quick and friendly. We only had a drink.

If I go there as a guest, I want to be treated as such. If you can't serve, you should leave.

First of all, I'm giving it one star because I have to do it through Google's rating system. Service was very unfriendly and unpleasant. Restrooms were very unkempt and unhygienic. It stinks! The food arrived very late and absolutely didn't taste good; it's not worth the price at all. Speaking of prices, everything is simply overpriced. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

A wonderful medieval beer cellar/brewery. You can enjoy the usual dishes that breweries offer in the old cellar vaults, even in groups. We were only there for drinks, so I can't comment on that. However, what was served at the neighboring tables looked good. But here, the brewing tradition, which goes back over seven hundred years, is celebrated. The homemade Zwickel beer is very drinkable. We were here with international guests, and they were very impressed by the ambiance.

The food is good, the beer is what it is. They're not cheap, and begging for a tip is simply unacceptable to me.

The initial welcome from one staff member was not so warm as we didn't have a reservation, it felt like we were an inconvenience. We sat happily in the beer garden, lucky to be under an umbrella and out of the rain unlike some other tables. Once seated the food, drink and service were good.

Quite expensive for a brewery. We sat in the basement, and it was incredibly loud. Service was very friendly and quick.

Such a cool place. Nice staff, good variety on the menu. I didn't eat anything, just came here for a drink but the menu looked great!

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a very pleasant evening at Brauberger. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, and the beer, in particular, was delicious.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and great beers....we tried three, and they were all identical! All with the same flat taste, lacking body and no aftertaste.

Truly delicious beers in an 800-year-old cellar. The Indian Pale Ale and Brauberger Zwickelbier come highly recommended.

We have been coming here for the last 15 years. Over the years the quality of the food has been declining. This time was the worst. The schnitzel Wiener Art was really dry and almost looked like is was not home made and some of the fried potatoes were not even cooked through properly. All of us were really disappointed. This was the last time we will visit unfortunately.

A popular bar, recommend to book in advance. Food is ok but not exactly impressive. The goulash soup was quite salty. I have a feeling that this place is understaffed as it takes ages to get the waiter.

The food was mediocre but not bad. What I find pretty awful is that they charge 70 cents for a small bowl of ketchup on top of a €26 schnitzel with fries, meaning €1.40 for mayo and ketchup. That's really cheeky. Besides, you'd expect to get a large beer if you order one in a place that claims to be a small brewery. A 0.4 liter isn't a large beer 🍺. And it costs upwards of €5.20. For me, this is just a typical tourist trap. The service was good. The atmosphere was nice too.

It is a place I liked from the very beginning but ended to love it. The own brewed beer is just perfect on my personal taste and kind of unique. Usually I like to eat the traditional haxe (pork knuckle) but today got recommended to try Scolle (a flat fish) which was perfectly cooked and fresh, really something I used to have in a good quality fish restaurant. WELL DONE TEAM!!!

Everything was good: the food, the beer, the vibe, and most of the staff. However, my experience was affected by a single young waitress. After I was seated, I noticed my seat was near the smoking area, so I asked if I could move to one further away because I don't like the smell. The young waitress struggled to understand me, and I had to wait for another staff member—a more senior and gentle lady—who quickly helped me relocate to a better seat. To be clear, I’m not demanding everyone speak English in Germany, which would be unreasonable. But since all the other staff spoke excellent English, it bothered me that she didn’t try to ask her colleagues for help. I also want to compliment the kind waiter who brought my food. When I was nearly finished, I asked him for the bill. He told me I could just head to the counter and pay by card. A couple of minutes later, however, the young waitress returned with a POS machine and placed it on my table, ready for me to tap. I had been planning to leave a tip, since everything else had been great, but she had already entered an amount before bringing the device over. I thought maybe she realized she hadn’t helped me much and decided not to take a tip from me. So I tapped my card. Then I noticed I was charged €2.25 more than the bill. Maybe it was a fee, maybe it was a tip—either way, it wasn’t explained or confirmed with me. To me, adding any amount without the customer’s consent is a serious breach of etiquette—if not outright disrespect—and I always rate service accordingly when this happens. Again, if you don’t carry an Asian face like I do, your experience may be different. But for me, it was a subpar encounter. That said, I want to highlight again that the rest of the team provided excellent service. If not for the young waitress, I would have gladly given a 5-star rating.

Beautiful restaurant with an ancient, cozy cellar. We only stopped here for a drink. The drinks (beer) were excellent. Parking is available across the street at the MuK.

We asked for knuckle and grilled fish. The Knuckle was reheated, dry and bad. The fish was excellent but was a different one than the one we ordered. We told the waitress and just said that they will take it into consideration for the next time…

I've never had such delicious herring with fried potatoes 👌 meg. The house beer tastes very good, even though I'm not a beer drinker. It was a very nice evening there.

Essen durchschnittlich. Bier gut! Wir haben hier einen sehr schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Wir reisen mit internationalen Gästen seit 4 Wochen durch Europa und wir können nur sagen, das war das schlechteste was wir bisher erlebt haben. Können wir nicht empfehlen.

A very disappointing Experience! The only thing i can recommend is the beer, the rest is bellw average!

It's a good place. I was recommended to go there by my local friends. They have a good selection of craft beers. And traditional meat dishes. I had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. I'd be happy to come back, especially for the beer.

The ambiance was very harmonious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The anniversary beer was extremely tasty. The Indian Pale – just as it should be – very strong and flavorful. Some people like it, some don't. I liked both, but it's better to only drink one of the Indian Pale :-) The food – we had schnitzel with fried potatoes – was okay!

A cozy old brewery with great service. We had soup for starters with some delicious bread served with it and schnitzel for main course. We only got through half a portion, so it's not for the faint of heart. Highly recommend the place for an authentic German experience.

We had previously been to another location that served Köstritzer Kellerbier. It was delicious 😋 Then we went to Brauberger, and I have to say, I've never had such a bad beer. Neither the Zwickl nor the India Pale tasted good.

There were 10 of us, and we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. One meal was forgotten and only arrived after two hours! They delivered it after several requests! What a pity.

Delicious beer, delicious food, great atmosphere... unfortunately, larger groups are disproportionately loud and drive away other guests!

Nice ambience and friendly service.

The ambiance is really nice, albeit very loud. We sat in the basement; the air was unfortunately very humid, but that was bearable. The wait was reasonable, and it was also very crowded. However, the quality of the food was abysmal. The schnitzel was completely dry and had probably never seen any fat (cooked in a convection oven?). The fried potatoes were flavorless and mushy, and the schnitzel was also completely dry... really unacceptable for the price. Unfortunately, this was already our second visit, and the food wasn't well prepared for us. The first time, we had dry knuckle of pork. Unfortunately, we won't give this place another chance. Definitely suitable for drinking, but you should eat somewhere else.

A great brewery, the service is top-notch. I ordered a knuckle of pork, one of the best I've ever eaten. We sat in the cellar vault, with a fantastic atmosphere.

A top place and Top Brewery Delicious food and drink In the middle of Lübeck

Restauranten ligger i en Historisk bygning tæt på floden og har borde i kælderen og “over jorden”. Klart mest hyggeligt over. Kælderen er opdelt i celler og det føles lidt indelukket og fugtigt. Fik Wienerschnitzel - ikke nogen stor oplevelse. Den var meget tør serveret alene med kartofler. Betjening var fin.

Quaint shop with cheerful staff and the best food, both solid and liquid. Cohesive furnishings around the theme of beer, the Zwickel is highly recommended, so we stuck with it straight away. Schnitzel and panfish were also great. PS: The location is not barrier-free, but that is to be expected in a historic building.

Great rustic atmosphere, friendly service staff, home-brewed beer and delicious home-made food. Not for vegans. The sanitary rooms are located under the roof, so the location is not well suited for people with limited mobility.

The schnitzel was probably in the pan for too long, the breading was about to burn and was very hard, but the fried potatoes hardly saw a pan. I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. My meat was tough, warmed up?, dry, you can see that in the photo. The ambience and service were great, but they couldn't make up for it. The brewery beer aperol was an interesting experience.

Op aanbeveling zijn we naar deze brauhause gegaan. Ze brouwen hun eigen bier wat zeer aan te bevelen is. Tip neem de bier proeverij! Daarnaast hebben we ook gegeten, waarbij we de specialiteit hebben genomen, bratwurst, beenham, aardappel en zuurkool. Dit hebben we vaker gegeten in Duitsland, maar dit is de weinige keren dat het eten niet zo vet was. Er lag ook geen vet op het bord. Helemaal top. Voor personen met kinderen raden we niet aan om in de avond te gaan. Gewoon te druk en er wordt goed gedronken op een leuke en goeie manier.

The beer tastes very good. The atmosphere is great. A visit is recommended for these two things alone. Food fills you up. Bread smells like detergent. Unfortunately, the price falls a little short of the kitchen's performance.

The service was very friendly and attentive. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still able to eat and drink in peace. The food was okay...but unfortunately, nothing more...I'm probably just not used to the new price/performance ratio yet, but the beer is great. Experienced beer drinkers will be well served with a pitcher from Zwickel ✌️ All in all, you can't go wrong here.

We wanted to come for a 30th birthday with 5 people. The dear gentleman didn't even hear the question of whether he wanted dishes for people with food intolerances. The answer, without us being able to ask a question, was no. Thank you very much, if you don't value customers, then leave it be. We go to another place and find a restaurant where you are welcome!

We had a wonderful evening at the Brauberger in Lübeck with our company. The atmosphere was very cozy and rustic, especially in the vaulted cellar. The home-brewed beer was excellent and we all really enjoyed it. The food was also good and the portions were generous. The service was top – our waiters were very attentive and accompanied us with a smile throughout the evening. All in all, it was a perfect evening that we would like to repeat. The combination of delicious beer, hearty food and friendly service makes the Brauberger a real insider tip in Lübeck.

Lots going on despite the high prices. I had knuckles. Great taste. But a bit cheap for the price. The beer was super tasty.

Du får faktisk en autentisk oplevelse med en duft af malt. Jeg smagte kun deres ipa, og den var ganske udemærket. Selve indretningen er super hyggelig for du får fornemmelsen af at være en del af et bryggeri besøg, men jeg syntes faktisk at det er lidt dyrt.

Oops, no more happy hour. Instead of 2.90 for a 0.4 beer now 5.20 euros. Ouch, which business economist had a great idea? 24 euros for kale. Sorry, only tourists pay at most. It's a shame but always nice staff.

The Brauberger in Lübeck is an absolutely recommended destination! I was just there for a few drinks and loved it. The home-brewed beer tastes great, and the cozy atmosphere in the historic vaulted cellar is unique. The service was attentive and friendly. Perfect for a relaxed evening. I'd love to come back!

Were there for a crime dinner. The event turned out differently than expected, but we were very satisfied. Ambiance, food and beer were excellent. Service top.

Were on January 12th. 25 for the crime dinner there. But sitting on these hard benches for 4 hours is a punishment. We were happy to be able to get up again. There were pillows upstairs, but we were the basement kids. And it was cold too. Once and never again.
