Das Brauhaus ist groß und hat eine rustikale Atmosphäre. Leider teilt es dabei das Schicksal der meisten Restaurants auf der Altstadtinsel: Es ruht sich auf seinem Ambiente aus. Das Essen ist meistens mittelmäßig. Angefangen mit der trockenen, kalten Brezel über das 25 Euro teure Schweineschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln, das dann qualitativ recht nah an einer Kantine ist, hin zu Angeboten wie "original Lübecker rote Grütze" – was auch immer das sein soll. Einen klaren Verhaltenskodex gibt es auch: Die LED-Kerzen auf den Tischen darf man auf seinem Tisch darf man auf keinen Fall auf eine andere Farbe umstellen, sonst gibt es Schelte vom Kellner.

Mooie inrichting en goede indruk. Zin aan. Maar mijn Jägersaus smaakte heel ranzig. Ik heb het een tafelgenoot laten proeven en die spuugde het meteen uit! Aangegeven bij een serveerster die in eerste instantie brutaal reageerde, maar het met de keuken zou opnemen. We hebben niet meer aan onze tafel gezien. Vervolgens een ober gevraagd en die kwam met de verklaring ("u wou toch een verklaring, die heb ik u gegeven") dat de saus uit hetzelfde pannetje kwam als die bij mijn disgenoot. Hoogstwaarschijnlijk een arrogante, klantonvriendelijke kok die niet toe wilde geven dat het niet goed was. En wel gewoon de volledige rekening moeten betalen.

This is a lovely restaurant with a traditional German feel. The beer was great, and the food was filling. The menu was varied, and the waiting staff were attentive. We enjoyed our visit here and would recommend!

We have always had a soft spot for the Altstadt in Lubeck on our travels, it seems to have kept its olde worlde charms from a different era when alles really was in ordnung. So I was sad therefore to find a couple of old friends closed and we had to venture two streets over and stumbled upon this place. Our first visit here and it certainly will not be our last. Ventured in to a warm welcome with our dog to find that it was a micro brewery as well with a very good selection of ales. We were then shown downstairs to the cellar bar, the staff were all very welcoming and attentive and as it was the asparagus season, we chose schnitzel with the white spargel. And in goodly portions too. This was on a Tuesday evening and not everywhere was open in the evening, so be aware if you are visiting the city and plan accordingly. It was quite difficult to find somewhere open to drink and eat after 8pm, which was confirmed to me when I left the downstairs cellar bar to use the gents toilet situated on the top floor. Every table was occupied, the place was full and everyone was having a good time. Mainly full of locals which is always a good sign for me. As it was a micro brewery, and being British, I had to sample the ales and they were very passable. Even an IPA called Brewship, which sounded a bit like an Adnams Ghost Ship, but it was close enough for a weary traveller to appreciate the effort that they have made. Well done boys and girls, keep it up and stay open later than 8pm, especially in a city the size of Lubeck. You deserve to do very well on this showing alone. P.S. Very nice. But nothing more. Beautiful, rustic vault, lots of history. But the food isn't particularly good. Only suitable for tasting beer.

We were at the Brauberger for a family celebration. Unfortunately the visit was greatly diminished by substandard service (I don't mean the young man who served us). It started with the fact that it didn't open until exactly 5 p.m. and a question about using the toilet was laughed away. You should also please leave the door open. It started at 5 p.m.: we had booked the vaulted cellar by phone, the owner called again and confirmed this. Now nobody knew anything about it. The lady then pointed out that even when she asked her husband, he didn't know this -> aha, so it's the boss. We were then offered a nice table upstairs, but because of the good weather we decided to go outside. We asked if we could put two tables together and my brother-in-law helped. “Can I do it myself, thank you!” was the lady’s response. Well, nice is different. In the end we wanted to divide the bill by 10, but that wasn't possible either. It's a shame, I specifically chose the restaurant because I've been coming there with students and business friends for many years. This time I was really embarrassed. At least the beer was great as usual.

Rustic inn with its own brewery. The mostly hearty, traditional dishes are cooked honestly and there is hardly any convenience involved. The beer is excellent and the four types of beer on offer suit every taste. It is always worth a visit and last but not least I would like to mention the excellent service, which is always friendly, quick and extremely competent. It's no longer a given today and that's one of the reasons why we'll come back again and again when we're in Lübeck.

Unfortunately I can't give any reviews about food or drink at Brauberger. We had reserved for today, Whitsun Sunday. We knew that it wasn't actually open on Sundays. However, we had previously asked by email about opening and reservations for today. The owner confirmed a reservation for 6 p.m. on Whit Sunday. Unfortunately it was NOT open!!! No information on the homepage, no email with information about a cancellation. When we asked by email, we were told that they had decided to allow Sunday! It's a shame, we were looking forward to the Brauberger... We then went to the “Kartoffelkeller” in Lübeck. Was very good. (See corresponding review)

I celebrated my big birthday there and it was just perfect! Very good coordination in advance and great service during the process. Everything perfect! I can only recommend! And the Zwickel (house beer) is also very tasty!

The food is too expensive for the average performance. The beer doesn't surprise you. The beer garden is harmless. The people working were friendly and the inside is quaint.

Very tasty home cooking, large portions and delicious home-brewed beer. We were there 3 days in a row because we really liked it. However, on the third evening everything went wrong. The fried potatoes were almost cold, not as crispy as the previous days, my husband got his salad when he had almost eaten it, although they apologized for it, but that didn't help. Thursdays are discounted Pitscher evenings (1.5 liters of beer). I wanted to get one of these as a cyclist. The young, dark-haired waitress gave me an unfriendly, curt answer: "That doesn't exist." On the one hand, you can say that politely and on the other hand, I don't understand why it's so difficult to take a sip of soda. I had ordered a shandy at the beginning of our stay and wanted to have one but was deliberately ignored because people kept asking at the next table. We sat there for a solid 50 minutes without me being asked again if I would like something more to drink, unfortunately not by anyone. Finally we left.

Our waitress was very nice and the veggies lasagna was really tasty.

Local with an interior terrace located in the heart of Lübeck. Traditional German cuisine (something unfortunately difficult to find in Lübeck). They have their own brewed beer. The knuckle we ate was very delicious. The staff is very attentive and assists you quickly. It is advisable to reserve a table. Without a doubt a very good option to eat or have a few beers.

Went there spontaneously for dinner, we were told right from the start that it would take a little longer, that didn't bother us personally! The staff can't fly, hats off to what they did, everything in one meal was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were very nice and friendly. We'd love to come back.

We were a little early for our reservation, so we passed the time at the counter. Here we got our first impression of the staff - super nice and friendly! Our service at the table was exactly the same! Nice, friendly and attentive! After a reasonable wait we received our food. The dishes were beautifully presented and you could taste the fresh preparation. All the food was perfect! We can only recommend a visit!

Very nice place. We came there in a group of 6 people and had a very nice dinner with good beer and good food. Recommend a visit here with very nice atmosphere and staff with good service. Some tips are to book a table as it is a very popular place. Few tables in the basement as that was the best atmosphere. Between 5-7pm is happy hour. Then we bought good beer 0.4L for 2.80 Euro.

Unfortunately the beer has an unpleasant smell. The ambience is of course special and positive to mention. The food in my group (4 people) was mediocre. The farmer's breakfast was fine for me, but the vegetarian lasagne wasn't so well received.

You can get very tasty home cooking and good Zwickel here. Service and ambience are also good. I like to stop here when I visit the Hanseatic city.

Super nice atmosphere (we got a table in the vaulted cellar). Staff very nice, relaxed and fast; Even though we hadn't made a reservation, they immediately made sure that we got a seat in the restaurant that was already fully booked. Food great, came relatively quickly and large portion; The home-brewed beer is delicious, and you can just tell that "the place is running smoothly" - especially because the staff is very on the ball and we and the many other guests never had to wait long for drinks and food. We're only here for a weekend, but we'll definitely be back next time we're in Lübeck! :-)

Unfortunately the fried potatoes were lukewarm and reheated. The schnitzel was ten and fatty. The food also came 5 minutes after ordering. That really surprised us. The next time you drink the delicious beer and don't eat anything. €22 for a simple pork schnitzel

A must whenever I'm in Lübeck! Delicious, home-brewed Zwickl!

The local brewed beer is fresh and tasty and the atmosphere is great. Brauberger has a happy hour with very competetive pricing for their standard style beer. However, I do not recommend the food. We ordered Schnitzel. The plate came like you would expect iit in a fast food restaurant, it was greasy from the outside and the meet chewy. Pork of cource instead of veal. But that is usual in Germany. No ketchup or any sauce with the fries. This very simple dish was priced 22 Euro. Don't order it.

Tornati a distanza di un anno abbiamo trovato la medesima atmosfera e lo stesso menù, mia moglie ha scelto una "Braumeister Schnitzel“ buona e croccante, mentre io ho scelto delle aringhe marinate, il tutto accompagnato da delle ottime patate saltate con la pancetta. Buone le birre.

Wir waren bereits wiederholt im Braunberger, und sind natürlich vom Ambiente ganz angetan. Aus Erfahrung wissen wir, dass es dort ein bürgerliches Angebot an Speisen gibt, jedoch keine kulinarischen Highlights zu erwarten sind. Wir waren jedoch von der Qualität der Speisen diesmal mehr als enttäuscht, da die Sauce zum Jägerschnitzel sehr klumpig und eine eher feste Konsistenz aufwies. Ich habe sogar drei Champions darin finden können. Die Bratkartoffeln waren lauwarm und pappig. Trotz des krossen Aussehens hatte ich den Eindruck, das diese nur aufgewärmt waren. Wir werden sobald dort nicht mehr essen gehen und unsere Gäste nicht mehr dorthin einladen.

Nice old brewery. The beer is delicious and the food is tasty. The service was very friendly. I just think the prices for the dishes are a bit too high for a brewery. In addition, the portions were very large and almost impossible to manage. At neighboring tables we noticed that some guests had ordered a dish and a second plate. So maybe the price is a little lower and the quantity on the plate too.

Nach einem schönen Golftag wollten wir im Brauberger lecker essen. Wir würden freundlich begrüßt und platziert. Das Gebäude ist einfach großartig. Über 3 Etagen sieht diese Bierstube hübsch dekoriert mit viel alten Accessoirs umd Messing super aus. Auch das Bier war lecker. Bei der Bestellung stellten wir schon fest, dass es nicht möglich ist statt Sauerkraut Gurkensalat zu bekommen. Wir bestellten ein Paprikaschnitzel für 25,50 € und eine Schweinshaxe für 24 €. Nach einer halben Stunde kam der Kellner noch einmal zurück um die Bestellung noch einmal bestätigen zu lassen ??? Das Paprikaschnitzel war lediglich in Ordnung, lecker aber nicht. Die Schweinshaxe war nicht essbar. Das Fleisch war nicht vom Knochen zu lösen und zäh. Wir reklamierten diese, aber der Kellner sagte, dass die Haxe bei Ihnen immer so sei und bot mir an, das Fleisch für mich vom Knochen zu lösen. Ich bin eine passionierte Hobbyköchin und glaube kaum, dass dieser Herr das Fleisch hätte lösen und essbar machen können. Wir haben dann alles Essbare gegessen und den vollen Preis bezahlen müssen. Schade, dass ein Restaurant mit so einem tollen Ambiente und so hohen Preisen so eine eine Qualität bezüglich Küche und Service hat. Nie wieder!

The Brauberger has dismantled. Sure, the ambience is great and the beer is unique. But it depends on the staff. Time for another review: First: Food is great, both in terms of quality and quantity. You wait a little longer but it's definitely worth it. Roulade was great, the breading on the schnitzel was bubbling, special requests in the form of fried potatoes, no problem and delicious. Service is friendly and super fast. But unfortunately deductions from the overall impression: We found space in the really great vaulted cellar. Very nice!!! But unfortunately not if you want to eat in peace and have a nice conversation. A very, very loud group of around 20 to 25 people around us. The acoustics are really bad. Maybe just ask for a table up in the gallery. Then absolutely nothing should stand in the way of a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We'd love to come back again. Restaurant with classic German cuisine. Very good and hearty. Their own beer is very good - I can only recommend the 4 tester. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed at times and we had to wait a little longer for the food and drinks (but it was also full and there were two larger groups there).

A nice and cozy brewery. The atmosphere is good. We were greeted warmly and then escorted to our table. The menu appears clear. Our drinks came quickly at any time, so we didn't have to die of thirst. The food was tasty, although the knuckle could have been a little juicier. Unfortunately, the brewship beers (craft beer) were only mediocre. You can tell that aromatic hops were saved there. The Zwickl was again delicious and tasty. We were even lucky to catch happy hour. The Zwickl was available for almost half the price. Overall, I think the price/performance is good, as the food and the Zwickl suited me.

Heard a lot about it. I thought it was quite ok. The beer is really tasty. The food was quite ok. The service was quick when bringing drinks, but rather slow when clearing away the plates. These sat at our table for what felt like a long time. The bottom line is that you can visit the Brauberger, but you don't have to.

Das Essen find ich leider sehr teuer für durchschnittlichiche Qualität und normal große Portionen. Dafür ist das Bier und das Ambiente super. Insgesamt für ein Glas Bier aber perfekt geeignet.

Nettes brauhaus leider gab es abends nichts mehr zu essen an dem Abend. Bierpreise recht teuer 0.4 Liter schon über 5 Euro aber geschmeckt hat es

Nettes Restaurant in 3 Etagen mit historischem Kellergewölbe und eigenem Bier. Ich möchte jetzt nur einen Punkte abziehen, aber es ist schon äußerst ärgerlich. wenn man, da man nicht viel Hunger hat, nur ein Gericht bestellt und dann ein wenig vom Teller der Frau nascht, dann je einen Euro zusätzlich pro Person berechnet bekommt "für den "Räuberteller". Als Extraleistung hatten wir eine zusätzliche Gabel und ein Extramesser, KEINEN Extrateller, da war der kleine Stehtisvh viel zu klein also sonst "Null Extra Leistung". Wir haben es mehr zufällig auf der Rechnung gesehen, es moniert und trotzdem gezahlt, uns aber dann so sehr geärgert, dass wir es nochmals an der Kasse angesprochen haben und darum baten man solle uns auf der Karte zeigen, wo das steht. Recht schnell wurde dann, nicht von unserem Kellner, sondern wahrscheinlich von der Hauptverantwortlichen des abends, eingelenkt und uns die zwei Euro zurückgegeben. Hat das das Lokal wirklich so nötig. Was bei uns bleibt, ist nicht die Erinnerung an den schönen Abend, sondern das Gefühl der Wegelagerei, der Abzocke. Schade

Grundsätzlich ganz gemütlich. Es gibt aber ein paar Minuspunkte - preislich wirklich sehr überteuert für das, was an Essen auf den Tisch kommt. Beim Grünkohl war ich sehr enttäuscht. Leider auch nicht richtig heiß - Im Keller war es kalt und sehr laut. - Wir saßen zu erst an der Theke und durften uns neben dem cholerischen Chef vergnügen. Im großen und ganzen eher nicht zu empfehlen. Ich komme selber aus der Gastronomie und ich finde es schade, dass die Chancen manchmal nicht genutzt werden.

Had a great meal here, we hadn’t booked but managed to get a table on a really busy Tuesday! Quirky interior, split across levels and a nice atmosphere. Both had schnitzels with different sauces and really enjoyed it. The beer is great too! Service was efficient and price reasonable. I’d definitely go back.
