Brasserie Chez Léon in Konstanz

The decor is cozy and inviting and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food was 50/50 as the daily/lunch menu was excellent with pork medallions but the tagliatelle with veal ragout and porcini mushrooms was bland. The pizza was ok, could have been hotter, but the base was nice and thin and crispy and soft. The tiramisu could use more amaretti, but it was nice and light. All in all, we would come back but wouldn't order pasta again.

Romantic, elegant ambience. Very tasty food and friendly service. All of this at reasonable prices. An absolute recommendation in Konstanz. I'd love to come back. Location in the old town just a few minutes walk from the train station.

We had lunch here with fish and pumpkin risotto. Although it was very nicely prepared, it was unfortunately very tasteless and nothing special at all. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right here!

Une très belle terrasse donnant sur l’étang de Berre, un service efficace et d’excellentes galettes de Sarrazin font de cette crêperie revisitée une valeur sûre, d’autant que le glacier « Le Quillié », situé au sommet du village, appartient au même propriétaire et propose d’excellentes glaces … + de 50 parfums, sur une terrasse exceptionnelle !

Beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. Very good quality in everything we tried. Reasonable prices for drinks but a bit expensive for his sweets. The tiramisu very good but for my tastes more sweet. The creme brulee is just good.

Wenn man für 2 Stück Kuchen und 2 Cappuccino 20 Euro auf den Tisch legen muss dann finde ich das schon absolut grenzwertig. Preise wie in der Schweiz. Garantiert gehe ich da nie mehr hin. Eine Unverschämtheit !!

Vorab: Sicherlich schon 20 oder 30 mal hier gewesen. Es gibt hier und da mal einen Ausrutscher. Die Parmigiana, ich weiß nicht ob es die noch gibt, ist nicht so der Brenner. Das war die Kritik Pizza und Pasta sind wirklich sehr gut. In der Carbonara zum Beispiel, findet man tatsächlich Guanciale. Die Fleisch und Fischgerichte sind leider recht teuer geworden, aber das ist in Konstanz halt Standard geworden. Besonders zu erwähnen ist der Service. Immer! freundlich und immer das Auge am Gast. Das ist schon klasse. Darum 4 Sterne.

Chez Léon is quite okay. I don't think the food tastes particularly good, but it's not bad either. The fries I ordered were not good and the pizza, which I have ordered twice, was always very oily. But I think you should make your own experience as my friends tend to have very good opinions. A little expensive for my taste but the location is pretty cool.

Large pleasant terrace for a meal on a summer evening... Simple, original, but really tasty brasserie cuisine with large portions and refined tastes... a very pleasant surprise with the quality of the dishes. TOP... Decent service. Very reasonable price for the quality of the plates. PS: For dessert the ice creams are Top... I recommend a little lunch break at Chez Léon if you are a little hungry 😉 with a good German mousse, of course 🤣

Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten. Varkensfilet die zo droog en taai was, kon nauwelijks een mes doorheen. Rumpsteak die vol met zenen en vet zat. Een ober die geen enkel excuus aanbod. Kortom nooit meer!!

Bon service, bonne nourriture et un bon restaurant pour qui veux manger local ou pas. Tout était excelente! J'adore visiter les restaurants que garde tous les respects pour l'ancienne gastronomie! Bravo à toute l'équipe!

The tastiest pizza I've eaten in a long time. Prices are okay too.

Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Das Essen dagegen eher nicht! Der Avocado Salat war eher ein gemischter Salat mit Avocado. Wenig Avocado dafür viel Grünzeug und einige Tranchen Lachs. Die Lasagne mit Kalbsragout war ziemlich ungewöhnlich mit grossen Fleischstücken und sehr trocken gebacken. Die Sauce war verdunstet und die trockene Resten klebten am Rand. Schade! Das war mal ein gutes Restaurant.

Ambiance is pleasant and terrace is very large. Croissants are great, the rest is ok. 7 slices of baguette for 2 people is kind of weird. Coffee is rather strongly roasted. There are many wasps nearby and the restaurant is unfortunately not allowed to use traps here, so allergy sufferers need to be careful.

Once again we were at Chez Léon on a wonderful summer evening. Great tapas first, great grilled sea bream (whole fish!) and delicious risotto with shrimp as the main course. Very nice evening with great service and very good price/performance ratio.

This is a rude start and i felt bad, but we had a tour bus to catch and it has already left one person behind for being late! The food and drinks were quick, and excellent. In summer it's actually nice to sit outside and safe from the rain. But also under very dirty umbrellas and right next to the car queue to the nearby parking garage, which makes things uncomfortable. The shop and the food have a French touch. The food and selection wasn't bad, but a bit, how shall I say, over the top for my taste. Service good, card payments without rolling your eyes, toilets okay. Overall good, but not great.

The chef in France would be beheaded for something like that. To be fair, this brew was not charged. The tarte flambée with pear and gorgonzola was very rustic. Simply place uncooked pear slices on the tarte flambée and serve lukewarm. The service employee tried very hard, thank you. We sat on the terrace under a large umbrella, which was totally dirty and unhygienic.

Habe extra eine Tisch für dem Abend reserviert, da ich meinen Geburtstag mit meiner Frau bei einem guten Essen feiern wollte. Habe es bei der Reservierung den Grund angegeben. Eigentlich war dies umsonst. Wir haben irgendeinen Tisch bekommen . Die Bestellung war eher langfristig, weil sich niemand um uns gekümmert hat. Man musste immer wieder nachfragen, wann den unsere Getränke endlich kommen. auf den bestellten Fisch haben wir mehr als 40 Minuten gewartet. Das einzig Positive war, dass der Fisch gut war. Wir haben auf weitere Bestellung ( Dessert) verzichtet und haben das Lokal verlassen

The minute I entered I felt it is a very nice place to have lunch or dinner. The waiters wear white shirts, which assures me this is the right choice, a very clean restaurant, the ambience is so Cosy, quiet and respectful. I would definitely come back here.

Very fine food: chanterelle beef salad. Absolutely inexpensive for the amount of chanterelles. My girlfriend had gnocchi with a sauce of gorgonzola and walnuts and was also very satisfied. The service was quick and attentive.

Please avoid. We spent a couple of hours in this restaurant on a rainy day, we ordered food and drinks and generally the staff were accommodating. However, the manager was extremely rude and almost went out of his way to make us feel uncomfortable. Looking at previous reviews this seems to me a common occurrence. This is a tourist trap and they will try and push you towards higher priced drinks and food and if you don’t agree the service gets terrible. Our group of four spent 280 euros in around two hours.

Me and my family ate here and shared a few beers and drinks. We enjoyed the place, the staff were quite accommodating. However, after spending over €300 the bar manager decided that free tapwater to accompany our €60 bottle of wine was not reasonable. Instead, he tried to charge us €4 for tapwater. Clearly, the other staff felt very uncomfortable with this and apologised. We promptly left and took our business elsewhere.

The food was excellent. There was rump steak Café de Paris. Ordered medium rare, which was served to the point. Garnished with a grilled garlic clove. We also ordered tagliatelle with strips of beef. Al dente and the beef fried to perfection. Truly a poem in terms of taste. The service was also very friendly, proactive and attentive. 2-3 individual requests were implemented without any ifs and buts. We sat outside, only the seat cushions could be replaced, but that's not so tragic. Top!

Mediocre convenience food that doesn't do justice to the location and name. The tomato sauce is the same whether you eat fish or meat. The pasta is cooked so thoroughly that any Greek would be happy but the Italian cries at how you can mess up food like that. Unfortunately, the other dishes are no better.

We had breakfast as a large family (20 people). I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the service and cuisine was, even though we all ordered different items from the menu with many different drinks. The food was also delicious, especially the good croissants!

We had reserved a table for 10 people. The choice of seating was very good. The service staff was a little overwhelmed later on and lost track of things. But that was better than being constantly harassed. The portions are huge - you should be very hungry. All in all it was excellent.

That was three years ago. Revision from the recession on April 7, 2024. ATTENTION: Tourist trap. No longer recommended. What we ate today was under every drawer. We come from Kreuzlingen and will avoid this restaurant in the future. The picture was taken three years ago. Everything was actually very okay there. Today German is spoken there but no one is actually from Germany. It's actually a shame when you watch the German gastronomy in Konstanz collapse. This is actually the case throughout the old town. We will focus on Switzerland again where the prices are the same and the quality is better. Goodbye, never again, Constance.

Nice atmosphere with comfortable chairs. Service was friendly. We enjoyed the food. Had pizza, rump steak and octopus for starters.

The food itself was okay, but there were a lot of black spots on the potatoes and the chicken was a bit bloody and didn't taste like anything. The service was a bit inattentive.

The food is really very good and the service is also great. However, there is a cooling system (or something similar) running in the restaurant, which causes a very penetrating noise (loud and high-pitched). Hopefully this will be fixed soon. You probably don't hear it as loud in other parts of the restaurant, we sat near the ice cream bar.

Simply need to improve the quality of food... its not french onion soupe no caramelizing or similar stuff.. and truffel spagetti smells/tastes like simple cream pasta with some pieces of truffle mushroom. But the staff and services are okayy

There is a great lunch menu, always online during the current week. Great location, nice terrace and very friendly staff.

We were there on Friday evening. The noise level was like that of a cattle market. There was puff pastry based tarte flambée!! 😞, very expensive tappas and the most terrible parmigiana I've ever eaten. Only the fish soup was very good.

In the city center of Konstanz, we had dinner there for the first time, although it was quite full, we were served quickly, friendly service who took the time to patiently take the orders despite the hustle and bustle. Starter was great (see photo), main course we had pasta, tasted like it was homemade, great quality. Come again. I thank myself.

Frühstück für knapp 16€ bestellt. Was kam war schlicht eine Frechheit für das Geld. 3 Scheiben gummiartiger billigkäse aus der Verpackung, 2 Scheiben trockener Schinken aus der Packung und schlechteste Salamischeiben auch aus der Plastikverpackung. Das hätte ich nicht erwartet. Hab das nicht essen können. Zuhause esse ich Wurst und Käse in dieser schlechten Qualität nicht. Mich ärgert das Geld und die Zeit die ich da verbracht habe. Nie wieder.

Naja es geht vom essen, ja das ist Geschmackssache. Sonst echt nett hier. Mitten in der Stadt. Aussen Bereich im Sommer.

Chef Kellner sehr arrogant anfangs sehr nett mit einem Lächeln.... Vorspeise wurde nicht so ausgeliefert wie auf der Speise Karte gestanden. Ein Entgegenkommen nach dem Vorwand war auch nicht möglich... sehr schade daher kein Wiedersehen mehr

Wir hatten mit unseren zwei Kindern hier gegessen. Die Flammkuchen und eine Pizza Margherita waren gut. Was uns nicht passte waren die viel zu verkochten Spaghetti Carbonara, die nicht wirklich geniessbar waren.

Pizza Salami (13,60€) von der Brasserie Chez Léon in Konstanz. Frische leckere Pizza, schön groß im stilvollen Café in Konstanz. Der Service war freundlich und schnell, obwohl sehr voll war.

Wir waren kurz nach Weihnachten dort frühstücken. Der Service war nicht gut. Nach 20 Minuten haben wir unsere Getränke bekommen und die aufgewärmten Croissants. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten kam dann das Frühstück, was nicht der Hit war. Die Croissants waren dann natürlich kalt. Das Bircher Müsli besteht aus Haferflocken, Rosinen und Kirschjoghurt - also kein wirkliches Bircher Müsli. Auf die Frage hin, welche Früchte im Müsli drin sind, konnte der Kellner uns keine Antwort geben. Ob die Früchte frisch zubereitet werden, wusste er auch nicht (wir mussten das aufgrund einer Allergie wissen). Auf die Bitte den Schinken durch eine andere Wurst zu ersetzen, war die Antwort des Kellners, er wisse nicht ob das geht. Wir haben ihn dann gebeten, das in Erfahrung zu bringen. Er kam wieder und meinte das würde gehen. Am Ende haben wir doch den Schinken auf dem Teller gehabt. Dort frühstücken zu gehen würde ich daher nicht weiterempfehlen.

Gutes Essen, gut gekühlte Getränke, flotte und freundliche Kellner, großer Innenraum und ebenso großer Aussenbereich, preislich liegt es im oberen Bereich.
