Rundum zufrieden. Leckeres Essen und kalte Getränke in mediterranem Flair. Der Standort ist natürlich super. Wartezeit war zum Zeitpunkt des Besuches knapp 20 Minuten.

Last night's visit was definitely a nice change of pace after a friend recommended the boathouse. The location is a really great place to spend a few pleasant hours near the Neckar River. Parking is a bit hidden/rather scarce. The ambiance is a rather average outdoor area with standard beer tables. Food and drinks could be ordered at a self-service counter. Drinks were served immediately, and the rest was quickly ready for pickup. The concept of the electronic beepers, which also vibrate, does have its advantages for service, but in the long run, it's a bit annoying when it feels like a small fire alarm is going off all around you. The staff and the owner were very friendly. The men's restroom, with its large window by the entrance door, which offered a clear view of the urinals, took some getting used to. All in all, 4 stars.

Beautiful beer garden right on the Neckar River. The ambiance is great, the food is good, and the portions are reasonable. Personally, I don't like the beer that much, but that's a matter of taste, as we all know. Food pickup is done via pager and then self-pickup, like at most beer gardens. Highly recommended!

Great place to unwind with a sundowner and have a drink. However, I won't eat anything here anymore. Apart from the fact that the prices now far exceed good Greeks with indoor catering and service (gyros with a handful of meat and a pile of fries and tzatziki €16), the quality was already modest for the third time, gyros cold, not at all crispy and limp, calamari as well. Sorry, but the level without service is not possible at this price. It's a shame, I used to enjoy eating here.

Anyone who loves the water will love this place. A beautiful place to unwind. Past the boathouse, turn right down a street that brings you to a gravel parking lot that is hidden. Many cyclists stop here. There is no service, self-service but this is what we know from most beer gardens. The food was ready quickly and the portion was decent for the price. In terms of taste, I found the Greek meat dishes in particular to be lacking in authenticity. I would definitely recommend the place and come here again.

Mittags das Tagesessen gewählt und nan glaubt es kaum, teurer als alles andere auf der Karte 18 Euro! Für ein Mittags-Tagesessen ìm Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung! Es ist noch nicht mal Ketchup und Mayonnaise für die Pommes dabei. Getränke auch sportlich im Preis. Man könnte es Abzocke nennen. Es gibt aber wenigstens ordentliche Teller zum Blechbesteck. Geschmack war okay, aber schon bei Abholung war das Essen nicht wirklich warm und das Bifreki nicht mal ganz durch...

Was the goal of my May 1st trip because a salsa/Latin band was playing. (Dance floor was a bit sparsely improvised - actually just the entrance area of ​​the pavilion). Great location right on the water (Neckar, building probably also belongs to the rowing/canoe club) - I couldn't try the food (mainly Greek or typical beer garden dishes) - the queue in front of the ordering counter was just too long for me. That's why I wasn't inside. The seating (simple beer tables, etc.) were of course all occupied, unfortunately some of them also had used dishes and empty glasses (hence no points for service - but it was also "self-service") ..It would definitely be better on another day - and nice as a stop for a walk or bike ride - as it wouldn't be representative - no photos ..but I'll try again..

Totally fell into the trap. We are new to Marbach and relied on the reviews of the boathouse. Unfortunately I have to say, this was the worst Greek food I have ever eaten. I can't understand at all how the reviews came about. The only thing good about the boathouse is the location on the river. It started with entering the restaurant. We actually thought we would find a restaurant here, but it is just a beer garden with an attached tent area. No service, little selection, you have to get food and drinks yourself and bring them back again. Although 5 people are standing in the kitchen area and smoking. We ordered gyros with fries and bifteki with fries. Plus two 0.5l beers. Price for this is €43.60. Until then, I only knew gyros as thinly sliced ​​meat. My pieces of meat were pieces of layered meat about 1 - 2 cm thick. Could have passed for roast pork. The meat was lukewarm and tasted quite strange. There was no trace of spice. If you closed your eyes when you tried it, you wouldn't have been able to tell from the taste that you were/eating Greek. My wife's minced meat bifteki was black on the outside, lukewarm and undercooked on the inside. When the half-full plates were put back, no one was interested, even though, as already mentioned, there were 5 people standing about 2 meters away. We didn't get a goodbye when we left the supposed restaurant. It's not so bad because there won't be any anymore. After leaving, we each had to drink 3 Underbergs against the strange feeling in our stomachs and go to the toilet within a very short time.

Voll in die Falle getappt. Wir sind Neu in Marbach und haben uns auf die Bewertungen des Bootshauses verlassen. Ich muss nun leider sagen, das war das schlechteste Griechische Essen dass ich bisher gegessen habe. Ich kann überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen wie die Bewertungen zustande kamen. Das einzige was am Bootshaus gut ist, ist die Lage am Fluss. Angefangen hat es schon mit dem eintreten in das Lokal. Wir dachten eigentlich hier ein Restaurant vorzufinden, es ist aber nur ein Biergarten mit einem angeschlossenen Zeltbereich. Keine Bedienung, wenig Auswahl, Essen und Getränke muss man selber holen und wieder zurück bringen. Obwohl 5 Personen im Küchenbereich stehen und rauchen. Wir hatten, einmal Gyros mit Pommes und einmal Bifteki mit Pommes bestellt. Dazu zwei 0.5l Biere. Preis dafür 43,60 €. Ich kannte bis Dato Gyros nur als dünn abgeschnittenes Fleisch. Meine Fleischstücke waren ca. 1 - 2 cm dicke Schichtfleisch Stücke. Hätte auch als Schweinebraten durchgehen können. Das Fleisch war lauwarm und schmeckte auch ganz komisch. Von Gewürz fehlte jede Spur. Wenn man die Augen beim probieren geschlossen hätte, hätte man am Geschmack nicht feststellen können, dass man beim Griechen ist/isst. Das Hackfleisch Bifteki von meiner Frau war außen schwarz, lauwarm und innen noch nicht durchgegart. Beim zurückstellen der halbvollen Teller hat sich dafür niemand interessiert, obwohl, wie schon gesagt 5 Personen ca. 2 m entfernt standen. Ein Auf Wiedersehen haben wir beim verlassen des angeblichen Restaurants auch nicht erwidert bekommen. Ist auch nicht so schlimm, weil es keines mehr geben wird. Nach dem Verlassen mussten wir innerhalb kürzester Zeit, jeder noch 3 Underberg gegen das komische Gefühl im Magen trinken und die Toilette aufsuchen.

Finally a beer garden without Dinkelacker! Delicious beer! And nice atmosphere! Very suitable as a destination for a bike tour along the Neckar.

Vegetables were freshly prepared and delicious. A great location right on the Neckar, with enough space for cars or bicycles. When it's busy, the waiting time to get a drink is quite long, despite the additional sales cart.

Just got the worst Greek farmer's salad I've ever had. Absolutely lousy rip-off. Mainly iceberg lettuce filled plate with half a tomato, this is the same as my wife's experience for the umpteenth time. I think that in Greece there are not that big regional differences in what goes into a salad like this. But the Porsche has to be financed somehow...

It is a place right on the water at the boat dock. Service is top everything is nice and clean around it. There are enough tables and benches available. There are also benches and seating options directly at the boat dock. I enjoyed it extremely much and I will definitely visit this place again. The only thing I didn't quite understand about the parking spaces was exactly where they were. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit there.

Ester bike trip in March 2025. Great weather and crowds of people wanting to enjoy the great weather. A huge queue at the checkout. We wanted to leave again, but then we waited. We were at the checkout in no time and were able to place our order. As soon as we paid by card, the drinks were there. We ordered different food, salad and steak. All the food was ready at the same time and could be picked up (beer garden). We enjoyed all of the meals very much and were beautifully presented and adequate in quantity. We would come back at any time...

We always enjoyed coming here... We wanted to come back with our visit today, but unfortunately it wasn't possible because dogs aren't allowed... I can't understand it, since it's still a beer garden and now only has a tarpaulin all around. We took our money to the Greek...The 1 star is just because I can post it.

The surroundings are pretty and there is also parking. Queuing is ok, once you order it goes very quickly. The food... edible. But nothing more. Unfortunately, it wasn't our case at all. We chose to be safe and have schnitzel with fries and sauce. We tried fries without sauce and then just dipped them in the sauce. That meant we didn't eat it all. They were the worst of the entire dish. I didn't like the schnitzel, but my partner thought it was completely fine. This gravy or whatever it was supposed to be was ok. The Hugo was very driver friendly xD In the future we prefer to enjoy the place with things we brought with us.

The entire workforce disappears to cheer on the rowing race. The guests stand in line for 20 minutes and don't see any rowing races for that long. In my opinion, really not the attitude to run a restaurant for guests.

So worse service is no longer possible if you can't even order or find anyone from the restaurant. There was a DIN A4 sheet hanging in front of the order counter that the staff currently has to cheer on the rowing team. They will come back in 3 - 5 minutes. Generally not acceptable for a reputable restaurant, but it would be fine for me if they had come back after 3-5 minutes. But unfortunately there was a 15 meter long queue in which everyone shared the same opinion. The stars make up the rest of my review.

Beer garden is located directly on the Neckar and the Neckar cycle path. Therefore well suited for a break. In the beer garden there is only self-service, drinks can be taken away directly and you get a "beeper" for food. Prices okay and fries and red sausage were good too.

Very nice to sit on. When there is a lot of activity, gyros meat is not completely cooked through.

Food is a disaster! Calamaris have a bad smell, gyros are very gristly, the bifteki filling didn't just consist of feta cheese. The rather brown mass was really disgusting. Last but not least, the fries were sticky. A complaint about almost full plates was rejected. Sorry, that doesn't work at all. It's a shame because the atmosphere is very nice. But only one point for that.

Nice beer garden with a good opportunity to go running in Marbach afterwards. There are negative points for the wasp nest, which spoiled our food due to the many wasps. Nothing against the food - it was indescribably delicious, but couldn't be enjoyed with 5 wasps approaching. Maybe check its wooden facade... they disappeared there...
