It's a Greek restaurant, and you have to get your own food and drinks. There's also a German restaurant. It's beautiful on the Neckar River, and you can watch the MRV rowers rowing.

Rustic food, local wines. Very reasonable prices.

Located on the beautiful Neckar River, also accessible by excursion boat, with plenty of parking and occasional live music. The only annoying thing is the lineup; no one lets you ahead for food, drinks, or even ice cream. Clean restrooms.

A very nice beer garden right on the river with a fantastic view. The bell system is super convenient: When the LED light flashes and a tone sounds, you simply pick up your order. Casual, uncomplicated, and perfect for relaxing!

The taste is good. Prices are more like restaurant prices than beer garden prices. Wait times are usually acceptable, and you can sit and relax in the beer garden.

Great location, beautifully situated on the Neckar River and beautifully decorated. The chef is fantastic. However, the staff aren't service-oriented; you can tell they're untrained; you feel rushed. The few dishes I had were unfortunately not tasty at all and far too overpriced for what you get. Bland food, salad dressings, however, were completely acidic... Not value for money in my opinion. Some of the long drinks were also a complete disaster. I think the location is what attracts guests, nothing more. Since the disappointing food, we only come for a beer.

The giros meat today was unusually fatty and marbled and had a strange smoked-meat flavor. The quality of the meat has declined significantly and now lags behind the increased price.

We always enjoyed the Bootshaus, but unfortunately, the quality of the food declines year after year. The prices keep rising, and the dishes are presented with less and less care, and the meat, gyros, souvlaki, etc., are becoming increasingly inferior. It's a shame, really. It's a great location, the service is excellent, but the food is borderline mediocre. NO LONGER RECOMMENDED.

The food here is generally good; the gyro is good... However, the "sea bream fillet" doesn't live up to its name or the €24 price tag. The fish: two sides of sea bream, extremely bony, grilled with the skin on, partially burned and therefore dry. The salad tasted cheap and felt like it came from a package (iceberg lettuce with carrot strips, corn, and onions drenched in balsamic vinegar). Unfortunately, complaints were not addressed. No replacement or refund offered. They simply had no interest in finding a solution. My conclusion: Nice location, but unsatisfactory service. I won't be coming again.

We were walking in November and came by the closed Restaurant. We looked in the window of the door and the owner came out to offer us to come in. He made a fire, brought us beer and some snacks 2 hours before they opened. When we left he didn’t want our money but we took care of him anyway. I will always return to such a gracious host.

Looks fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to make the delicious memory card. But it looked delicious. Everyone seemed very satisfied.

Pros: Ambience Cons: The food I had a Mykonos plate and was really looking forward to it. I was extremely disappointed afterward. Not because of the portion, but because of the taste. The souvlaki wasn't cooked properly, as was the gyro, lacking in flavor and seasoning, as was the tzatziki. I used to enjoy coming here, and when I returned after a long time, I was very disappointed.

Endless lines at the counter, friendly service. €8.50 for three slices of tomato, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and half a slice of bread. It's called a large mixed salad. Sorry, but it's completely overpriced. It was also drenched in dressing. A beer garden atmosphere with a view of the Neckar River. The beer was very good.

Unexpectedly bad, really bad. Mini gyro portions at an absolutely exorbitant price, lacking in flavor, the meat bone-dry. The fries were soggy and soft. I'm shocked at what I paid for, and what I waited 25 minutes for despite the beer garden being empty. I don't understand the positive reviews; I strongly recommend the owner at least try the Obi Imbiss Greek in Bietigheim. It's on a completely different level in terms of taste and value, even though it's just a snack bar. All in all, disappointing; once and never again.

Drinks are good value for money. The food is actually pretty good too, if it hadn't been cold already. We waited over an hour for our food, and the staff were completely overwhelmed when we asked questions...

It could be so beautiful on the Neckar. But you need more love for the job and enjoyment of your work. Just be friendlier, and the overall impression will be better.

A nice place to stop after/during a bike ride or similar activity. The food, drinks, and service (self-service) are good. Overall, it's often quite crowded, and the atmosphere is otherwise rather average.

Beautiful location right on the Nekar. There are plenty of adequately sized seats, almost all shaded by large umbrellas. The rectangular umbrellas also have ridges between the individual umbrellas, so you can easily sit out a rain shower. On weekends or holidays, there's occasionally live music and an open grill. Otherwise, you can find all kinds of drinks and food here. There's no waiter service here; you go up to the counter and order. When you order food, you get a pager that beeps when the food is ready for pickup. Everything works pretty quickly, even when it's busy. You can ride almost directly to the restaurant by bike or other small two-wheeler. There's a parking lot nearby for cars. All in all, the location is highly recommended.

We were there today and celebrated my husband's birthday. - The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and the portions were generous; - All the staff were very friendly and helpful; - We were allowed to bring two cakes, and they provided us with plates, knives, etc., free of charge. We were even allowed to put the two huge cakes in the fridge!! Conclusion: We definitely recommend the Boathouse and will definitely be back☺️ Thank you so much!!! It was a fantastic party!!!

This is one of the best places around Ludwigsburg.

We sat outside in the beer garden in beautiful weather; it was well attended. You get a pager at your table that alerts you when your order is ready for pickup. The food was very tasty. I think the prices were quite high.

A wonderful beer garden on the Neckar River with a good selection of delicious dishes, some of them Greek. Our favorite is the classic souvlaki with fries and Greek salad. Unfortunately, it's self-service only and the prices are relatively high, but you're sitting right by the water and are rewarded with plenty of evening sun.

We've been to the Bootshaus Marbach beer garden twice now, both times in glorious hot summer weather with temperatures well over 30 degrees Celsius. Luckily, all but a few tables are covered. There's definitely plenty of space. Plus, it's a come-and-go affair, so there's always a free spot. As with any beer garden, you have to pick up your food and drinks yourself. It usually takes a maximum of 10-15 minutes from ordering and paying for your food and drinks until you get your food. You can take your drinks with you immediately. The beer garden is located directly on the banks of the Neckar River. Aside from the noise of the guests and the occasional street noise, it's very quiet here. Except for the occasional Neckar Captain, who stops here. This is the pier for excursion boats. So remember: beer garden first, then river cruise. Or vice versa.

A fantastic place to hang out on the Neckar River, whether for lunch or dinner with friends. Greek and German food...all very good...good value for money. Friendly service...great atmosphere...plenty of parking... Parking is available in another building...also easily accessible by bike.

This restaurant doesn't even deserve one star. We were eating with the family today until we saw several worms in our plate. 🤮🤮🤮. I then spoke to the staff. They took my plate away, neither an apology nor compensation. It was a complete disgrace. When I went back, they just said what should we do and laughed humorously, as if it were normal.

The food on offer is typical of a beer garden, but they also offer dishes that you won't find everywhere. Friendly staff, and it's self-service. The location directly on the Neckar River is excellent, right next to the bike path and easily accessible from both banks via the adjacent pedestrian/cyclist bridge.

A very nice place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat. The service rating refers to self-pickup. There's a beeper that vibrates and rings when the food is ready, but it's very quick, with hardly any waiting time. The announcement over the loudspeaker if there's no response is unfortunately very loud; that could be adjusted. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Quite a good place for a break during a bike ride. The food is standard. The drinks selection is extensive. They also offer ice cream. Clean restrooms are available.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens for miles around, with a direct view of the river and the pier. Even if you don't want to consume anything, there are seats and benches right by the river. In summer, there's often an ice cream van on site. The food is good, mainly Greek, but there's also a good selection of vegetarian options.

The seating is very nice there, right on the Neckar River. On this visit, we only had a cappuccino, which was very good. Last time, I had the cevapceci, which were also very good. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. I'll definitely be back. The large wine spritzer (0.5 l) deserves a special mention.

Rundum zufrieden. Leckeres Essen und kalte Getränke in mediterranem Flair. Der Standort ist natürlich super. Wartezeit war zum Zeitpunkt des Besuches knapp 20 Minuten.

Delicious food, mostly Greek. It was quite crowded at times, but we always found a free spot. It's great that there are plenty of shady spots and plenty of parking. The view of the Neckar River is beautiful, and there's even a playground for the kids.

Gyros and civapcici are simply delicious! Great atmosphere and playground. Partyed with 17 people and didn't leave €700 behind. Okay, there were no drunks either. But we had our own waiter!!!

The Greek food is very tasty, but when you order you may have to queue and the last time you queue it can take 1.5 hours to pick up.

Last night's visit was definitely a nice change of pace after a friend recommended the boathouse. The location is a really great place to spend a few pleasant hours near the Neckar River. Parking is a bit hidden/rather scarce. The ambiance is a rather average outdoor area with standard beer tables. Food and drinks could be ordered at a self-service counter. Drinks were served immediately, and the rest was quickly ready for pickup. The concept of the electronic beepers, which also vibrate, does have its advantages for service, but in the long run, it's a bit annoying when it feels like a small fire alarm is going off all around you. The staff and the owner were very friendly. The men's restroom, with its large window by the entrance door, which offered a clear view of the urinals, took some getting used to. All in all, 4 stars.

Personally, I don't like the beer that much, but that's a matter of taste, as we all know. Food pickup is done via pager and then self-pickup, like at most beer gardens. Highly recommended!

A beautiful garden on the Neckar, unfortunately the operation is set to forced mode. Doesn't listen properly and didn't feel like working. But otherwise the food was okay, would go again.

Great place to unwind with a sundowner and have a drink. However, I won't eat anything here anymore. Apart from the fact that the prices now far exceed good Greeks with indoor catering and service (gyros with a handful of meat and a pile of fries and tzatziki €16), the quality was already modest for the third time, gyros cold, not at all crispy and limp, calamari as well. Sorry, but the level without service is not possible at this price. It's a shame, I used to enjoy eating here.
