Despite its location on a busy main street, the ambiance and decor are truly appealing, and the noise is kept to a minimum. The beautifully landscaped courtyard invites you to linger on warm days. The food is standard Italian fare, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The service is super friendly and cheerful.

The food was okay, but not particularly good. I had grilled salmon, and it was quite dry. The prices are relatively high, and the service is mediocre. A bottle of water for €8.50 is outrageous. The ambiance is really nice. We sat upstairs, a bit more privately as a group.

The food and wine were good. However, the attention, care, and customer satisfaction were very poor. Their hospitality was unbecoming of Italian culture. They had placed roses and chocolates on the table, but when we arrived, they took them back, and so on. We finished our meal and left, but we could have sat for a while; the atmosphere wasn't bad, if only the staff were more friendly.

Even though we had a reservation, no one looked at us. They didn't even ask for our name. We waited 55 minutes for our order, and when we wanted to confirm our order, we were told YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY TABLE. We were told to wait. We were treated incredibly badly. The waiters only spoke Italian. They were indifferent.

We made reservations online on Saturday. However, the restaurant was closed. There's no notice on the website either. Then the restaurant opened! Incredible, considering we were traveling from out of town and wanted to meet family.

The ambiance was perfect, as it was very hot that day, and we were seated in a pleasantly quiet, leafy courtyard in the heart of Berlin. The food was authentic Italian, the service was excellent, and the owner offered a lovely bouquet of flowers for my birthday. It was a thoroughly successful birthday celebration.

One medium, one well-done (specially requested due to pregnancy). The first waiter barely listened to our order and moved on. Not a big deal if he took everything in. Unfortunately, we ended up with a burnt steak that still wasn't cooked all the way through (I repeat, we just wanted to be careful because of the pregnancy), and the other steak was more rare than medium. The menu listed carrot puree and herb butter... but we didn't get either. When we asked, we were told that the carrot puree was out of stock. - No problem, but why don't you come in beforehand and let us know instead of putting watery frozen vegetables on top, which the guests might not like at all? Unfortunately, neither the steak nor the vegetables were really enjoyable. In the end, another waiter tried to accommodate us and bring it back. to do well, but I don't need a free dessert to compensate for €80 steaks." I expect a different level of customer service from a restaurant in this price range.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, it felt like home. We weren't able to return, but we hope to soon.

The ambiance is truly beautiful. The service is also good; the waiters were very friendly. The salmon wasn't so good. I don't want to go back just because of the food. My plate was arranged so carelessly. For €26, I would have expected a bit more.

The food was very good. However, there are deductions because sometimes you can't pay by card because the system doesn't work. And because you can't get a table even if you have a reservation. Very, very annoying. So please don't accept reservations and remove them from the website. Otherwise, it's a rip-off, and that's not how you treat customers.

The "cash only" policy often mentioned in reviews – whatever the reason – should be pointed out at the beginning of a restaurant visit!

Great restaurant with super delicious food. Beautiful, quiet garden where you can eat in peace. The waiter, who is from Romania and previously worked in Italy, deserves a special mention. I went there for lunch with several colleagues. The decor looked cozy. We found the service poor and slow. Two colleagues and I chose the sea bream with potato and vegetable mash from the lunch menu (15.90 euros). This was preceded by a small, tasteless salad consisting of just a few lettuce leaves and dressing. We also received two bowls of olives and white bread. The waitress had her finger in one bowl and touched the other olives with her apron as she leaned across the table to push the bread basket to the other side. I found the main course (sea bream) disappointing. Instead of the mash we ordered, there were two halves of a mini potato and a mini portion of broccoli and cauliflower on the plate. When we pointed out that we had ordered mash, we received the rude reply that it hadn't been available for a while. So why was it on the menu and why wasn't it mentioned? The vegetables had a strange aftertaste, so we didn't eat any more. The fish (two small pieces each) tasted okay. Service was practically nonexistent. Unfortunately, payment only worked after repeated reminders. Guests at another table were also very annoyed. We won't be back. Update from June 19, 2025: The restaurant blocked my post. After I proved to Google that I actually ate there, the post was reinstated. It's a shame that the restaurant handles its guests' criticism this way.

When you wait two hours for your food at lunch and are told, upon asking, that it's only been 75 minutes, you appreciate the place! Sure, the pizza was okay, but the buffalo mozzarella salad definitely wasn't. I left hungry and in a bad mood.

Decent Italian food and pleasant outdoor patio seating. Our waiter was pushy, and at the end, added a tip to bill all by himself without asking (!). We were unfortunately seated at a improvised table with wood planks next to a vent with cold air, a unpleasant experience, specially since there were plenty of other open tables. Would not go back.

So, the four of us were at the Italian restaurant – two friends were already sitting, we joined them, and thought, "Well, let's have an Aperol!" – but the waiter? He never came. So I went in, thinking I'd take fate into my own hands. I stood there like a spaghetti without sauce, and the waiter said, "No, order outside, not here." Yeah, it wasn't a state affair, but it was a bit like, "If you want something, you won't get it." But hey, we finally got an Aperol at the table outside – and once it arrived, the world was orange and sparkling again. By the way, there's no bruschetta – too bad! It would have been a hit. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this: Make some, it's a no-brainer! What I have to say, though, is that the guys at the bar are really cool. Relaxed, friendly, and they enjoy their job.

Hie kann man richtig gut essen gehen und das ganze Personal ist super freundlich und sehr bemüht! Mit noch echten Kerzen am Tisch . Als Gruß aus der Küche ein paar Oliven mit Brot sehr lecker! Waren spontan ohne Reservierung und hatten Glück ! Wartezeit war angemessen.

One small but... there's a sign on the door saying Visa and debit cards are accepted, but when paying, they apparently only accept cash... we had to go to the ATM and get some money... You should be informed of this before ordering.

The ambience on site is very nice and lovingly furnished. We come from out of town and need 12 places for a fee at short notice because our hotel restaurant has simply increased the booking. We were given a small private room in the Oberreich, the staff were extremely welcoming and made it a successful evening. The food was typical Italian cuisine, tasty and everything freshly prepared. It came quickly and the portions were big enough that everyone was full 😀. We can recommend it and thank you for the great evening.

I can't understand the good reviews. The waiter always seemed bored and was conspicuous by his absence. The food took a really long time to prepare and was an absolute disaster for the price. The truffle pasta with beef strips was completely unsalted (I cook with very, very little salt) and there was almost no truffle in it at all. They didn't even bother to disguise the lack of flavor with extra truffle oil or something similar. The Vitello Tonnato, on the other hand, was just unimaginative (veal, paste, 4 capers), not enough tuna paste for me, but the taste was ok. Finally, my drinks were not booked correctly and I was charged fancy prices, which unfortunately I only noticed on the way home. Two stars because it is very comfortable there.

Very nice authentic Italian restaurant in a rustic atmosphere. Well-stocked wine racks all around for all requirements and very tasty food. The service was also very attentive and nice. There is a summer garden and on the first floor a small bar and an extra room for celebrations. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the Bonfini.

I ordered a steak for just under €38. Not a gram count for the steak and portions far too small. Even vegetables were saved. If you don't order an appetizer, you definitely won't be full. Food took almost 1 hour to arrive. When it arrived, was the food still almost raw? One has the impression that the order was simply forgotten. So let the food fry a little longer and still have to wait another 20 minutes. The taste is so-so… Definitely not worth the money. Seriously ? So if you really want to eat well, he shouldn't go to that tourist shop. Absolutely cannot be recommended. Don't be blinded by appearance.

The waiter was there the first day. This was explained to us after a few things had gone wrong. The young man had obviously never heard of the "never empty-handed" principle. Drinks and even salt only came upon request. Some of the main courses came with the wrong side dishes. The pizzas were extremely poorly topped. And all of this at rather hefty prices.

De risotto was heel goed (en risotto maken is een hele kunst), maar er zouden volgens de kaart 'funghi porcini' in gezeten hebben, en die waren er niet. Toch de volgende dag teruggegaan, pizzaatje gegeten, allebei, en het waren twee goede pizza's. Vlotte bediening, aardige sfeer, niet duur.

I hope it was just a bad day for the chef, since they forgot to add the most expensive ingredients to the dish. I ordered "Tagliolini Filetto di Manzo e Crema Tartufata" - pasta for €17.90 with beef fillet tips and Parmesan. They served it without the beef tips and Parmesan. When I asked why, the explanation was that the chef forgot to add them. They eventually fixed the issue. The taste and appearance were okey-ish. The pasta was under-salted, and the Parmesan was not grated, but cut haphazardly. For €17.90, I expected more.

We were more or less chased away shortly before the end of our meal. With the justification that a large group was coming now. The amount was of course collected in full and quickly. And then got cheeky afterwards. Definitely never going there again. It's best to keep your hands off. One star too many.

The furnishings look upscale and definitely invite you to dine. Depending on the service, the tone was sometimes friendlier and sometimes a bit harsh. The pizzas were good so far, but the tools used by everyone at the table, as well as at the neighboring table, were blunt. As a nightcap there was a grappa or a limoncello. Overall the evening was fine. There are better Italians in the area. An evening at Ristorante Bonfini can be done - but it is not a "must".

The quality of the food is below average - some dishes were almost unedible. The wine was good but also way too pricey. Please don't order the calamaretti - it was dry, tasteless. It seemed like the seafood was from days ago.

Upscale Italian restaurant on Chaussee Str. It was very busy and luckily we had reserved a table. There are classic Italian dishes. The food is very tasty, but offers no culinary surprises. The service was good.
