We are here a few times after bad experiences at other Italian restaurants. Looks a small place but is quite large and fairly busy each time. Food good, service good even when busy. Staff exceptional and friendly. We're vegetarian and have a picky teen and this catered for us. Had a mixture of pasta and pizza, all to a good quality.

came here and was greeted very politely at the door came in to enjoy a beautiful little garden with perfect atmosphere not too crowded and not too empty. we were given wonderful service from the very beginning even when we were served our amaretto the drink had accidentally spilt and it was replaced by our wonderful waiter Doni free of charge. really enjoyed my experience here and will be happy to return next time i’m ever in berlin. come here if you are looking for authentic italian food, warm and welcoming service and a comfortable atmosphere.

Hier voetbal Nederland-Turkije gekeken. Was heel gezellig. Goede kaart. We zaten buiten op klein chaotisch maar gezellig terras. Vriendelijke ober. Inderdaad drukke straat en we zaten gewoon op de stoep. Maar was toch gezellig. Zeer goede risotto, pasta carbonara en tiramisu.

In response to the store's unfair response: I actually bought some ice cream, but before I sat down my friend had already ordered a beer. Before I could order wine, you had already started joking in front of other guests about throwing us out. I felt very disrespected and you claim we didn't order anything? You are not a street vendor and we are not beggars. The way she talked made it seem like we were just there for the table. I have never seen an owner force customers to pay and then kick them out. It was raining, so we decided to sit outside. My boyfriend ordered a glass of beer while I ate ice cream. The owner made several rude comments about us not ordering enough. Eventually, they asked us to leave so other customers could sit. This treatment was extremely disrespectful, especially since we were paying customers. I do not recommend this place due to their unprofessional behavior. Recently I visited this restaurant with my friend to watch a football match. It was raining so we sat inside. Just very tasty and friendly service. You can also sit beautifully and quietly in the backyard.

We sat in the beautiful green backyard in the best weather, public viewing of the em was also possible in another location. Extremely charming gentlemen and ladies served and greeted us, we were there repeatedly and the food tops the overall concept!!!!A great one , good-humoured and extremely successful visit! We will definitely come back again! Thank you!

Penne pasta with buffalo mozzarella is really creamy and can melt in your mouth! But keep some space inside of your stomach because the Panna Cotta with red fruits coulis on top is the real thing! Also I recommend the Tiramisu, classic but still the best one! 🫶🏻

Friendly, just on the street. Pizza was very good, as was the house wine. However, a desert of service after we were identified as tourists. No bread with the olives, like all the other tables, no further questions. Cash only. Was sent with a wag in the direction of a vending machine... Food was great, prices were okay but it still had a bit of an aftertaste...

Tagliatelle with fresh salmon and green asparagus. Highly recommended. Delicious sauce and generously filled with salmon.

Simple restaurant. To pay you have to go to the counter. Food got cold quickly.

Nice place with excellent cuisine

We found Ristorante Bonfini online and were accompanied to a table in the courtyard by the friendly staff. You couldn't have guessed this beautiful place from the outside. The atmosphere there was incredible, the service was excellent, and the hosts were very friendly. Chef Arnold, who personally brought our food, was particularly impressive. We ordered an antipasti mixed platter for two, a pizza diavolo and gnocchi stuffed with goat cheese and truffle sauce. I haven't enjoyed such wonderful food in a long time, not in Germany at all - only in Italy. But tonight at Ristorante Bonfini it was just perfect. This restaurant is only recommended! Thank you again and we will definitely be back.

Great food and service, it was nice and quiet in the back yard and cool at 24+ degrees in the summer. Only a metal door slammed loudly twice, it was unclear whether it came from the neighbors or the restaurant. We will be back :-)

Exceptionally friendly staff. Good food, portions a bit small. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible (a sign saying “no card payment possible today” has been put up for the second time; but perhaps not in general).

The ambience is nice, especially in the back yard. The food was rather mediocre and too expensive. Penne Arabiata too oily, not a bit spicy and penne no longer al dente. The Caesar salad was mainly dressed with mayo; you didn't really taste the parmesan, anchovies and capers. Either there wasn't enough of it or there was nothing at all. The crowning glory was the note on the bill: “Today only cash payment”. By the way, you can delete that today, but if you read other reviews (in hindsight), it's a permanent situation.

Food ordered and picked up. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Upon request that the pizza should be cut because a guest was in the hotel, this was done. All in all great and recommended. Of course the food is also delicious.

What can I say. The second time I visited here. The restaurant doesn't look particularly exciting from the outside - but 1. It's a nice place inside 2. The service is good 3. The food is really delicious. Sure, it's a little more expensive - but it's not a snack bar, it's good food that will fill you up. The only drawback is that you cannot pay by card. I would be happy to come back.

Food was very tasty. It's actually a disgrace for guests that this restaurant doesn't accept card payments. In this day and age you would have to deduct more than one star for that.

When the man at the bar (above) wasn't playing with his cell phone, the service was really good and nice. The ambience is also nice. The food was mediocre. The noodles are good, but not enough and significantly too expensive. Unfortunately the pizza couldn't do much. For a beer €6.50 is also a house number.

Wir haben ordentlich gespeist und getrunken und eigentlich einen schönen Abend zu zweit gehabt. Leider wurden wir beim Bezahlen mit der überraschenden Ansage überrumpelt, dass keine Karten akzeptiert werden, sondern nur Barzahlung. Sorry amici, das geht in der Hauptstadt so garnicht….ODER man macht seine Gäste rechtzeitig auf das Problem aufmerksam. Das gilt für alle Restaurants, auch für Italiener.

Was there twice. The waiter is quick and polite. As a welcome you always get a few olives 🫒 and bread. Once I had linguini with baby calamari, very tasty and probably not always on the menu. Then penne a’ arrabbiata, pleasantly spicy. Both a glass of wine 🍷. The second time I stayed seated longer after eating and they actually brought me a few olives 🫒 with bread to go with the wine.

Food was absolutely delicious and it was certainly a nice ambient, though I find it a little pricey. I rate this overall with -1 star for the tardy service, and -1 star for accepting cash only. During my visit the service was extremely slow. It took about 10-15 minutes to get the attention of the waiter. Portions were not that huge so we’d have loved to order dessert and coffee, but as we’ve been there for 2h and fearing having to stay for another hour we decided to just get the check, only be told that we have to walk up to the cashier on our own, and pay in cash. No cards accepted.

The only place to go for a real tomato soup. There was an incredible angus and the consistency of the sauce was perfect. See you again on my next visit to Berlin. I forgot his name but the waiter from Besiktas was very polite and friendly. The place is very characteristic. The music playing in the restaurant was great. A very good restaurant to have a very good meal and spend a nice evening.

You immediately notice the positive atmosphere here thanks to the good-humored and extremely friendly employees. The restaurant is nice and cozy, with an impressive selection of Italian specialties. The dishes are delicious and the quality is impressive, particularly suitable for vegetarians. Unfortunately, it is less suitable for large groups as card payments are not permitted and the staff do not accept them. This requires the availability of cash, especially if you are paying for 14 people - not always practical. This is the only reason why I no longer want to visit this restaurant with my customers in the future.

The restaurant was opened especially for us for a funeral feast in the afternoon. We would like to thank you very much for the very good food, the wonderful service and the warm welcome.

Tolle kleine Pizzeria mitten in Berlin mit italienischem Ambiente. Netter Service und wirklich leckeres Essen. Auch der Nachtisch (Tiramisu) wirkt selbstgemacht. Große Auswahl an Weinen. Preise sind sehr angemessen.

This place was very good. The food was great but the service was even better! Our daughter was a bit tired and sad and the cook dicided to jump in. Our daughter was allowed to make the desserts together with the cook! Great idea and we had a happy laughing daughter right away. Thank you!

War lecker, die Portionen leider zu klein

Wir haben in zwei aufeinander folgenden Tagen dort gegessen und uns hat es umgehauen. Die Qualität des Essens war überragend, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Ambiente einfach wunderschön. Ich bin ein wenig traurig, dass wir so weit von Berlin entfernt wohnen😅

Sehr nettes Lokal mit zuvorkommendem Service und leckeren Speisen. Man kann hier gemütlich sitzen und gute Pizza essen. Einen Stern Abzug, da man leider an diesem Tag nur bar zahlen konnte. Sonst, aber wirklich zu empfehlen.

leider enttäuschend, die bestellte Pizza ( Pizza gourmet ) war so schlecht, dass ich sie trotz grossen Hunger gerade so herunter gebracht habe..und das soll bei Pizza was heissen . Pfeffer und Salz gefordert und zwei mal Pfeffer bekommen, dann darauf hingewiesen und beides wurde weggenommen..... der Wein ist gut!

Authentic Italian, late night option.

Ein italienisches Restaurant wie man es sich wünscht von der Atmosphäre, dem Service und ganz besonders dem Essen. Eine tolle Auswahl aus dem was bella italia an leckeren Gerichten zu bieten hat werden unglaublich lecker zubereitet. Die Grösse der Karte und der Umfang an leckeren Möglichkeiten lässt es ohne Probleme zu das Restaurant auch bei einem Besuch von wenigen Tagen mehrmals zu besuchen.

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Essen war auch sehr sehr lecker.

Die Panna Cotta war Klasse. Die Nudeln ok. Schönes und gemütliches Ambiente. Der Service war leider überlastet und das Essen hat recht lange gedauert.

Bad service (not attentive, food took forever to come out), boring food (it‘s giving frozen food warmed up) paired with wine that‘s not tasting good, was really overcharged for what it was. Got a different wine than ordered and they tried to charge us more than the one we ordered. No credit card supported, makes one wonder if this is a shady business. Can not recommend at all. Aside the service experience my one sentence summary is, that it is one of these German „Italian restaurants“ that are not authentic at all.

An amazing hidden place for a classic wine and pizza escape. Servers are very friendly. Food is good and prices are on range.

Lovely food, however they have too many tables for the size of kitchen. We waited 2 hours for our food. If it is busy I would avoid it, order 1 pasta starter to share and 2 pizzas.

Super hübsches Restaurant, netter Service. Ich hatte dort einen Salat, der hat leider etwas zu wünschen übrig gelassen. Obwohl ein Salat dort soviel kostet wie eine ganze Mahlzeit, bekommt man fast nur Blattgemüse und kaum die anderen Bestandteile wie z.B. Nüsse o.ä., die auch Teil der Menü-Beschreibung sind. Es gibt kaum bis garkeine vegane optionen auf der Karte. Also für strenge Veganer:innen nicht geeignet.

Mittelmäßiges Essen, nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht gut. Freundliches Personal, jedoch eher überengagiert in Bezug auf die Wegnahme des Tellers, direkt nachdem der letzte Bissen verspeist wurde. Tiramisu hat einen vorwiegend sahnigen Geschmack, erinnert nur entfernt an das eigentliche Dessert. Im Innenhof roch es stark nach WC, zumindest an unserem Platz. Leider keine Empfehlung, würde nicht wieder kommen.

Positiv: Top Lage,schöne Inneneinrichtung Negativ: Salat,hat nicht geschmeckt und war überteuert. Die Walnüsse und Orangenscheiben musste ich schon intensiv im Salat suchen.Ich hatte eigentlich fast nur Salatblätter im Mund, kaum Dressing. Kellnerin, war in Ordnung, hätte aber freundlicher sein können.Dass sie keine Kartenzahlung nehmen,hätte man vor der Essensbestellung sagen können.

Ein wirklich süßes, italienisches Restaurant. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe hier. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. 👍

Wir waren mit 35 Leuten da und wurden klasse bedient. Trotz voller Auslastung war die Bedienung super freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker. Klare Weiterempfehlung - auch für große Gruppen.

Still one of the best Italian restaurant in "Mitte". Today, the service, the wine and the food were perfect. If they could deliver this quality each time, it would be a 5 star for sure.

Ein sehr guter Italiener, mit toller Küche und tolles Service. Wir kommen gern wieder. Die Pasta war geschmacklich super und der Kellner sehr sehr freundlich. Trotzdem die Küche erst 17:00 Uhr öffnet wurden wir vorher bereits bedient und hatten 17:00 Uhr bereits die Vorspeise auf dem Tisch stehen. Der Einzige Kritikpunkt wäre, dass die Kartenzahlung nicht möglich war aber das hätten wir auch vorher erfragen können. Ansonsten absolute Empfehlung.

Nach einem schönen Beachtag auf Beachmitte, ging's ins Bonfini. Wir sind gerade mit der Vorspeise durch, leckereres Octopus Carpacho. Mega mildes Olivenöl zum Dippen und ein super nette Service. Sind gespannt auf den Hauptgang...

5 jaar geleden was ik hier ook, en weer was het authentiek Italiaans, heerlijke gerechten, snelle service, gezellige ambiance. Dat is best knap zoveel jaar later......

Nous y avons très bien mangé, les patrons sont très sympas, les plats sont délicieux et les prix très raisonnables. N'hésitez pas à y manger !!!!
