Unfortunately it looked tastier than it was, the vegetables were bathed in oil, the salad was too sour and the starter, where the bread is the most important point, was cold and dry. But a nice atmosphere.

Our visit was mediocre. The food generally tasted quite good, but it was quite unsettling for me because it was quite greasy. I'm also not a fan of the self-service and ordering terminals, as the comfortable sitting together is constantly interrupted by the buzzers and you then have to go to one of the many stations to pick up the drinks and food yourself - with a time delay, of course. It's more like an upscale canteen, but the prices aren't really cheaper than in restaurants with service. However, once you had contact with the service, it was positive.

I was here with colleagues and really had a nice time. The food tastes delicious, the service was great and the ambience is also great.

We have been guests at Rheinauhafen several times now and would love to come back! The dishes we have eaten so far have all been delicious and simply something different! There is a lot to choose from and you can order directly at the terminal using your card and take a beeper with you. The concept is good and easy to understand. The store is often very crowded, but I've seen worse noise levels. In summer I can only recommend sitting outside 🫶🏻 Definitely try it out and see for yourself!

The restaurant impresses with a very nice ambience and a pleasant atmosphere. I have eaten here several times and always enjoy coming back. The restaurant is particularly ideal for larger groups as it offers generous seating and enough space. The food selection is varied and often unique - a highlight for me is manti, a Turkish version of tortellini (with either meat or cheese filling) that is served in a delicious yogurt sauce with oil. I can highly recommend this dish! However, there are also some weaknesses: the portions are unfortunately quite small, which is particularly disappointing given the prices. For the price I would expect a larger quantity or more filling. The special drinks didn't convince me either because they tasted too artificial for my taste. Overall, a recommendable restaurant, but still has potential for improvement in some areas.

We were here for brunch today and were more than satisfied 👌🏽Right from the start you are greeted in a very friendly manner and shown straight to a suitable table, all the staff are extremely friendly and even with a baby in your luggage you feel very welcome and good here lifted. The food was also really tasty, this was definitely not the last visit.

You get full, but it's too expensive for what you get. The food tastes bland and the iced tea is far too sweet.

We have enjoyed coming here for years, but we have noticed that after the prices have been increased, the portions are now also getting smaller. As an example, Cream Taratura. That's now only about half... See attached photos.

Unfortunately it wasn't my thing. In my opinion, the food was not seasoned. I understand service for a restaurant differently. Since everything only runs via chip card and mobile device, the service is completely missing here. You have to order drinks and food yourself at the counter and pick them up yourself. Unfortunately, the tables were so close together that there was hardly any room to stand up. (At least in mid-December)

Concept that takes some getting used to. Order food and drinks using the touchscreen and collect them yourself at the drinks or food counter. Communication takes place via a transmitter that you have to scan. Payment via top-up card at the end of the visit.

We spent a wonderful morning here. In my opinion, the breakfast offers something for everyone. One should note: You will not be served here (; The principle was new to me, but it is actually quite simple. (You get a card, go to a terminal, choose what you want to order and book the food/drink you want on the card. You get a “pager” that vibrates as soon as the food or drinks are ready for pickup.) Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately, Bona’me remembered it better. Unfortunately, the food no longer impressed us. Food arrived totally delayed, the quality wasn't really good and unfortunately it was also very greasy. The staff is visibly overwhelmed. Too bad.

The food is really great. I'll definitely go there again. The concept is that you order at the terminal yourself and pick it up yourself. Therefore no real service at the table. We were lucky with our table. Was in the back. Otherwise a bit like being in the train station hall. All in all, I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next time.

Food was ok. Slightly spicy. The ambience and location directly at the Rheinauhafen is of course great. If the weather is good you can also sit outside. I find the ordering system a bit complicated and annoying. Especially when you order different things with several people. Table service would be nicer, but costs have to be saved somewhere.

The restaurant is good, but you should know the following beforehand: A mixture of McDonald's and Turkish specialty restaurant. You order your food at the terminal, which is good these days because of infection. You get vibrators so you know when you can pick up your food at the counter. Mega! Great restaurant with good dishes. Taste wise at the top. A little more expensive, but worth it.

Very unfriendly. A lady who works there looks very unkempt, has a bun on her head as if she was about to clean and is very curious and constantly interfered in our conversations I believe that taking better care of her appearance and adopting a more reserved communication style could help her be perceived as more professional.

The lentil soup was ok. The staff in the open kitchen seemed to be in a very average mood. A request for food was answered rather reluctantly. When paying at the exit, be kind at first, and after paying without a tip, no “goodbye” or anything like that.

It was a coincidence that I ended up in this restaurant, but I was super satisfied! The service was very friendly, attentive and helpful. I felt comfortable and welcome from the first step in the store. You first have to understand the ordering system, then it's easy and everyone is explained in a friendly manner how it works. The food came quickly and tasted very good. All in all it was a very nice visit and a great break for me. Absolutely recommended!

The food is unbeatable. Expensive prices for canteen food. Nothing has taste. We were there today and actually for the last time.

This evening's dinner was at a very special location. "Our Home", that's the translation from the Kurdish bona'me, a traditional but top modern dining concept by the Rhine river in Cologne. I got curious when I bumped into this location on Google Maps and wanted to explore it with my bare eyes and my taste buds. The concept is outstanding, you get your order card at the entrance and then you order your food and your drinks at one of the many touchscreen terminals. The buzzer informs you when your order is ready. At the exit you pay your bill that accumulated during your stay. Now the food and the taste: The dishes are mainly pearls from the traditional Anatolian cuisine but made with a sprinkle of innovation. Who would have thought that Manti goes with sucuk? Or Beyti kebab formed like a tower with a delicious yoghurt dip and tomato sauce. Even the drinks are special, like the Mem Ù Zin, a drink that unleashes a tornado of flavours when taking a sip. I think words are just not enough to explain the happiness this place gives with its specialities. If you come across one of its 10 outlets in Germany do yourself a favour and visit this place. The staff is friendly, professional and quite speedy in whatever role they have. Ez gelek spas dikim.

Ordering system takes some getting used to but ok.

Went here for lunch in a larger group. The price is quite high for the self-service concept, but this is probably due to the location. Food was okay but nothing earth-shattering. I had pide which tasted okay but especially the variants with more toppings were very expensive. Almost everyone in the group finished their food at different times, so I was one of the last to get my food. Atmosphere in the restaurant like in a canteen, which has no relation to the prices. The tables were cleared quite quickly but weren't really wiped down afterwards and were still pretty dirty before we used them. Payment was relatively easy by card or in cash. On the card reader you had to select or deselect the tip rate on the tiny display, whereby the smallest button was of course "no tip".

Unfortunately there wasn't anything more than a light atmosphere for us... Food came relatively late and the service was unreasonable. Not recommended...

Tasty Turkish food with an amazing view

Although we arrived at the restaurant very late, we still got something to eat. The colleagues were very nice and the food was great.

Were at bona'me yesterday. I can highly recommend mint tea & pide with spinach. It's admirable how well the service works, even though the restaurant was full to capacity - respect.

Chic oriental stylish ambience with a great location on the Rhine. The food is nicely prepared and tastes quite good. However, the self-service concept doesn't convince me at all, as it causes an incredible amount of unrest in the restaurant/on the terrace. And for the low level of service, the prices are quite high. Okay for a business lunch, less so for a cozy get-together.

Disappointing experience at Bonami The food was okay, but the service was a disaster. There was no cutlery and the containers were constantly empty. Orders came staggered, 20 minutes apart – for both food and drinks. The toilet was dirty and lacked paper. I spent most of the time getting cutlery and drinks myself and asking about my food. At the end, tips were automatically deducted without being asked - for what? For the non-existent service? The quality has decreased massively. Whether this chain can still hold remains questionable.

Today we were at Bona me. It was the first time for me, but the second for my wife. The first impression and what you heard was actually very positive, but it quickly became clear that appearances are deceptive. You had to order the food yourself at the front of the display, which is why 2 stars for the service. However, it was finished quickly. We had ordered breakfast and were wondering what the cheese sauce was doing there. Overall it tasted okay, but nothing special and didn't justify the price. However, the restaurant is great with its ambience right on the banks of the Rhine. Our conclusion: You can do it once, but if you want to eat a good breakfast, you won't be satisfied here.

I wouldn't recommend it, meat meatballs weren't homemade and were cold. Chicken meat was counted 4 pieces for the price was not correct. Total disaster!!!

Great connection to public transport, great food, friendly service

Delicious Mediterranean Turkish cuisine. High prices, but still affordable. The area surrounding the Rheinauhafen may perhaps justify this. Feels more like you're in a canteen at lunchtime. The many guests certainly speak for the store. I find system catering at a higher level with ordering terminals very practical if you want to eat something with your colleagues during your lunch break.

Piede was nice, Esma was different

If the food wasn't so delicious, I would never come back. It's overcrowded, has terminals like fast food chains and the staff seemed stressed. (It was busy and there were a lot of guests standing at the counters, there were mix-ups with the drinks) No parking spaces and no barrier-free toilets. Otherwise the food was really tasty. You get it yourself, as well as the drinks, so I can't rate the service well. They were trying hard behind the counters. There are no reservations for the outside area, but it's worth booking a table as we waited almost 30 minutes for a free seat.

I was visiting Cologne at the weekend and had dinner here with friends for the first time. The heat and the beautiful, large, modern outdoor area made me feel at home. A spot was available within 3 minutes. Depending on where you sit, you have a small view of the Rhine and there was still a pleasant breeze despite the heat in the evening. I was initially surprised that it was a self-service restaurant, but when you ordered drinks inside, which you immediately noticed, you were immediately handed a "beeper". Orders were placed via smartphone (QR code placed on the table) and as soon as e.g. B. The beeper announced that the food was ready to be picked up. The food was really outstanding and as a convinced meat eater, I enjoyed the vegetarian food there (bulgur with vegetables, tomato sauce, herb quark and fried chickpea flatbreads -> that was really outstanding and aromatic). I didn't miss any meat here. I can fully recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE, especially vegetarians, but also vegans, as vegan dishes are also offered. Definitely an excellent location, I will be back in Cologne soon and will go to this restaurant again.

Rarely have I been received so warmly in Cologne. Everyone in the restaurant was incredibly nice, the food was incredibly good. Yes, many people don't "get" the system with the ordering process, but it's explained so nicely that I can't understand the negative reviews about it.

Yummy. Nice staff. I find self-service very annoying, which is why I only give it 1 out of 5 stars for “Service”. Recently there were no more forks. We only had spoons and knives to eat. And too few toilets (two) for women. Too long queue. Very loud!

Good concept, food could be more varied

There were 5 of us there yesterday. The new system is an absolute disaster. It's complicated and not customer friendly. The prices are overpriced and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Even after ordering several times, a meal we ordered was not prepared and the staff was unable to help us. If you add the PARKING HOUSE costs then you can eat out in renowned restaurants including service.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The quality of the food was below average - the dishes were not freshly prepared and tasted bland. In addition, the presentation of the food was anything but appealing. The staff wasn't helpful either. The service was inattentive and seemed uninterested. It took a long time to place our orders and when the food finally came, some of the side dishes we ordered were missing. There was only an inadequate response to our complaints. Overall it was a disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this restaurant. I hope they work on the quality of their food and service in the future.

Me and 5 of my friends went to this restaurant yesterday. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone due to the poor quality of food, poor service and lack of good management. The whole time I was in this restaurant, I kept going to the reception and my table because of the irregularities of the staff and the new system in this restaurant, and the staff themselves did not master this system. Also, the drink I ordered was not at all comparable to the original drink and one of my friends didn't receive his order after waiting for three hours and we ended up paying a huge amount despite all the shortcomings.

When we are in Cologne our first choice is the bona'me at the Rheinhafen. Authentic Turkish cuisine at reasonable prices.

The atmosphere at Bona'me is simply great and the dishes are extremely tasty! I can particularly recommend the mixed starter plate and the Kitir Manti – they are an absolute highlight. We always enjoy coming here!

Bona me Rheinauhafen The food was delicious. The prices are a bit high. The atmosphere is ok, the employees do their best (see below). criticism 1. Although the on-site menu is purely digital, the website displays a different version that lacks prices. Use https://bona-me.de/speisekarte-boname1/ - there are also the ones with 2, but here in the Rheinauhafen the 1 is stuck on the tables. 2. Neither the digital menu nor the on-site ordering terminal reliably shows what is out of stock. 3. If an employee doesn't correct you when you enter it, then 2. you also have to go to the checkout and cancel the order there. It's reassuring how trustworthy the operator apparently finds his counter employees that he doesn't allow them to cancel. 4. The menu advertises "Extra Falafel", but the control terminal doesn't offer this at all (even the employee could only shrug his shoulders in confusion)

The food was OK. Service is actually non-existent as it is a self-service store from start to finish. Nevertheless, there are a number of points for the service. We accidentally ordered a dish wrong. The food was super delicious. The 3 of us had a huge starter platter... and then a main course each... big portions... didn't manage to finish everything...unfortunately! It's all self-service. At the end the table was cleared; this man was very friendly. We were able to sit outside, but it's noisy because it's right on the main street. But everything was good overall.

Visually perfect, everything looks super delicious. BUT the bread was dry and the side dishes had no taste. None of what we ordered was fresh. This has happened to me for the third time now. A pity.

The ordering system is extremely confusing if you've never been there before. We went in and looked for a table. Then we went to the order terminal and picked up our order. After a few minutes we wanted to complete the order and then the system asked for an order card. We stood in front of the screen wondering and a customer behind us explained that we should have been given a card at the entrance. However, this is not advertised anywhere and none was given to us. So I canceled the order and went to the entrance to get the card. Then stand in line again at one of the terminals and wait. This happened to many other customers. We raised the issue at the checkout and all we were told was that many customers here know the concept and how it works. As tourists, we don't know the shop and it's not very comfortable. However, the food was very tasty and we really enjoyed it :)

We were there as a group. During the week, in the afternoon. There was really little going on. The first impression was quite nice. The self-service counter system was briefly explained to us and off we went. The selection was appropriate and we quickly ordered as a group from one menu. After a short while the beeper rang and we picked up the drinks. The first disappointment began with a homemade carbonated IceTea. Information about this was completely missing. Homemade lemonade would have been the appropriate term. But since it had the character of a spritzer, it worked. After another maximum of 3-4 minutes the beeper rang again. So we sat for about 5-7 minutes - the noodles were ready. The whole thing seemed Spanish to us because the pide would have to be in the oven for a lot longer and how can you cook pasta and manti so quickly. We went and picked up our food. There were almost completely cold manti and lukewarm noodles in what appeared to be a ready-made tomato sauce. The opinion was confirmed by the entire group. The shrimp were good though. In our opinion, the portion size for the price was inappropriate for the high price. 4 out of 4 guests went home hungry for almost a mere €80. After the noodles and manti were already 95% eaten, the pide arrived. It wasn't really eating together. But they tasted good and were fresh. When we paid we realized that it was a shame that we couldn't eat together. We were then blamed for saying we should have given prior notice. Sorry, but if there are 4 dishes and 4 drinks on a menu, you should automatically assume that it will be a shared meal. Instead it said Next time you have to let us know, we don't have that. After the cheekiness, we dropped the other points of criticism because it wasn't our fault either. There should have been at least an apology for the inconvenience. It's definitely the last time we'll be seen there! In fact, it was the worst restaurant visit we've had in a long time. It's a shame that the whole thing was so hyped.

We were there with 5 people. Ordering system absolutely impractical. Scan QR code, view map. Unfortunately there is no shopping cart function. Then screenshots were taken for 5 people so that they could then order on a touchscreen, like at McDonald's. My dumplings were almost inedible. Not really done yet, too hard and dry. 2 out of 5 food was okay. The restaurant is also very loud and has a train station atmosphere. Luckily there is enough choice in Cologne...
