BOMBAY PALACE - Indisches Restaurant + Biergarten in Friedberg

We ordered through Lieferando. When the food arrived, we were surprised that the meager salad had shriveled up and looked very unappetizing (€8.90!). After five minutes, the delivery person rang again and said he had to take the salad back because it wasn't good. We received no compensation, neither a new salad nor a refund. Only the offer of a new salad with our next order. That's unacceptable! We weren't told why the salad wasn't good. After the delivery person had already left, we discovered that half of the salad we ordered was lying in the driveway. We've never experienced anything like that before! The rest of the food was also not good. The naan bread tasted stale, and the other dishes were completely tasteless. Never again! We'll probably be stuck with the €8.90.

We've been there several times now, the food is always delicious, and the waitress is super friendly. I can only recommend it! Simply amazing.

We used to regularly order food from here for pickup because it was very good (we don't like the atmosphere there, so we always prefer to pick it up). Unfortunately, the quality has steadily declined over the past two years, so we've recently stopped ordering altogether. Today I wanted to give it another try, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Chicken jalfrezi – a simple, tasteless, watery tomato sauce, the chicken inedible, and some large pieces of pepper. So, this is our last attempt. A shame, because it used to be good.

We were looking forward to a cozy evening with Indian food, but were unfortunately disappointed. The dishes didn't suit our taste. Both dishes were very mildly spiced and too sweet for us. The salad with the Chicken Tikka, which was served on a hot plate, was particularly irritating – an unusual concept that unfortunately didn't convince us at all. The presentation was certainly intended to be creative, but warm salad leaves aren't part of a successful dining experience for us. The service was friendly, the ambiance was fine – but that alone isn't enough to overlook the culinary weaknesses. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

It was beautiful again. Unfortunately, we moved away from Friedberg, but we come here for dinner as often as possible. It's so delicious 😋🥰

Good food for good price, abundant portions

We've ordered different dishes twice with several people. The consensus is that the rice is the best. Everything was quite lightly seasoned and not good compared to other Indian restaurants. Perhaps they changed chefs. Delivery wasn't so good either.

Always friendly, the food is super tasty and not too expensive.

We've often eaten Indian food and this restaurant was by far the worst AND most expensive. Main course: Very few 4 pieces of meat (duck very fatty and overcooked), no mango pieces in the sauce (as advertised on menu). Dessert: The ice cream as tiny as a marble (hidden in mango sauce) with a huge topping of whipped cream. Price-performance ratio is incredibly expensive. But the worst thing: I've been having extreme gastrointestinal problems since this menu, these stomach pains cost me a sleepless night, I've had problems for 2 days now, which are now slowly subsiding. The suspicion is very obvious that it was because of the visit to the restaurant.....NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The worst butter chicken I have ever eaten!! No hint of Indian spices or flavor whatsoever. The butter chicken's sauce was like thin tomato sauce mixed with water. At least the meat was OK, there were no vegetables. The best part of the whole meal - to take away - were the papads, although the sauces for these are much tastier in other Indian restaurants in the area.

It was our first time eating Indian food! You get a free greeting from the kitchen in the form of lentil chips with dips... very tasty! The homemade nan bread is highly recommended! Main courses taste delicious! You get warming plates for the meat! Unfortunately the rice was almost cold! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The furnishings are a bit old but it still has an Indian flair!

Ordered here, despite the problem with the order, the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our two different priced dishes only came with one “large” sauce, which only had enough sauce for one of our portions.

There were four of us at the Bombay Palace. From the start the service was very, very nice and always attentive. I've never been crazy about Indian food, but I thought I'd be surprised. And so did I. The food was very tasty and plentiful at the same time. The meat, whether lamb or chicken, was very tender and tasty. We can only recommend it. It was easy to switch off and simply enjoy the evening.

We used to absolutely love the food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the dishes on the main course were hardly seasoned the last time we were there and the meat was dry. Unfortunately, the starters were only mediocre.

We just ordered food, at first the driver forgot the drink and wanted to throw it over the balcony. Then half-empty sauces arrived (for the pappad) that looked used and tasted old. A sauce simply "exploded" when opened due to the pressure. The table was full of sauce (also smelled very bad). Butter chicken sucks. Mango chicken, not a minimal taste of mango. Packaging completely smeared with sauces. Everything ends up in the trash now. And paid 34 euros for it (+ tip) a disaster. Very unhygienic and inedible.

I was here alone at lunchtime to eat as I had work to do around the corner. The service was very friendly and took my order quickly, which didn't take long to arrive. Schnelle Lieferung, freundlicher Fahrer, Essen Durchschnitt mit viel Luft nach oben. Samosas sehr zu empfehlen. Vegetarisches Thali war in Ordnung. Shahi Paneer war leider zu süß.

Wir sind wegen des Gutscheinbuchs auf das Bombay gestoßen. Wir sind sehr freundlich begrüßt worden und haben einen schönen Platz bekommen. Die Auswahl an Essen ist riesig, wir entschieden uns für scharfes Lamm und Linsen. Dazu natürlich Reis und vorweg gab's diese dünnen Brote mit 3 Soßen. Getränke und Essen wurden flott serviert und alles schmeckte wirklich sehr lecker. Bei der Nachspeise entschieden wir uns beide für etwas, das wir nicht kannten. KULFI, ein indisches, im Haus selbst gemachtes Eis. Überragend 😁 Wir waren total begeistert, worüber sich unser Kellner (glauben, der Chef) und unsere ebenso freundliche Kellnerin sehr freuten. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch dort.

Leckeres Essen und super freundlich

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und bei der Auswahl der Speisen gut beraten. Es hat uns alles gut geschmeckt, wir hatten Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch. Die Mangocreme war köstlich aber wir hatten dann noch ich glaube Kokosquarkbällchen: Gulab Jamun, unbedingt probieren! Sehr lecker war auch der indische Weißwein und der Ingwertee in dem auch noch andere Gewürze waren, er war mild und würzig im Geschmack. Das Lokal ist nett dekoriert. Die Sitzgelegenheiten sind wohl vorgegeben, aber mit viel Stoff und Bildern, wird indisches Flair in die Räumlichkeiten gebracht. Wenn man das Lokal betritt, weht einem ein starker, ich sag mal blumiger Geruch um die Nase, das ist erstmal ungewohnt. Wir kommen wieder!

Angenehme Atmosphäre, Essen war gut

Die Servicekraft war nett, aber wirkte etwas gestresst trotz wenig Besuch. Das Essen war standardmäßig für indisch. Es gibt besseres Naanbrot, die Saucen waren sehr süß. Kein Highlight, aber standardmäßig gut!

+Essen ist gut + Service ist nett -Atmosphäre des Restaurants so lala, ist schon etwas älter vom Interior und die Lichterkette an der Fassade lässt es etwas kitschig und billig wirken.

Wir waren hier mit dem Gutscheinbuch essen. Wurden sehr nett begrüßt und rasch bedient. Die Vorspeise mit den 3 Dips aufs Haus war sehr lecker. Die Essen waren ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Nicht zu scharf doch sehr gut gewürzt. Auch der Service war top. Wurden auch häufiger gefragt ob alles passt.

Gute indische Küche. Habe auch mein Lieblingsgericht bekommen, so wie in New Delhi😄

Jedes Essen dass ich hier probiert habe war extrem lecker. Die Besitzer sind total nett und der Service ist sehr gut. Extra Wünsche und Änderungen sind gar kein Problem. Absolute Empfehlung!

Essen ist gut und reichlich. Service ist freundlich und schnell. Einziges Manko: wer mit Gutscheinbuch kommt, muss zwei Vorspeisen zusätzlich bestellen. Damit ist also die Ersparnis dahin. Preise wurden scheinbar erst angehoben, und billigst in Speisekarte einfach mit Tipp-Ex ausgebessert und überschrieben.

Dafür dass ich kein scharfes Essen mag und ich meistens schlechte Erfahrungen mit "mildem" Essen beim Inder gemacht haben, haben die es beim Bombay Palace drauf. Das klappt Recht gut mit dem Zusatz "Bitte mild" und es schmeckt lecker :-)

Vorab muss ich erstmal schreiben, eine sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Inhaberin ... Essen war gut, wie sagt man so schön, Preis / Leistung stimmte Saßen im Außenbereich, da muss ich leider schreiben, das es ungepflegt und nicht wirklich einladen ist, vom Zaun bis hin zu der Bepflanzung .. Ich meine da könnte man schon einiges machen ;) Update :) bin die Tage vorbei gefahren...sieht jetzt richtig gut aus...viele Blumen gepflanzt...macht gleich einen besseren Eindruck.. ;)

Wirklich das beste Indische Restaurant im Raum Augsburg und Umgebung. Wir wurden von der netten Wirtin herzlich begrüßt und super bedient. Das Essen kam schnell und hat wirklich super geschmeckt. Ein Lob an die Küche! Preis Leistung passt auch super Alles in Allem klare Empfehlungen!

Richtig gutes Essen, so muss es sein. Der Schärfegrad “Mittel” ist so genau an der Grenze, aber nie zu viel oder zu wenig. Portionen richtig schön groß. Lieferant zuverlässig und richtig herzlich. Mjamm!

Ganz ehrlich, wer sich ein bisschen mit indischer Küche auskennt macht hier lieber einen Bogen drum herum, auch wenn die Betreiber sehr nett sind… vor allem: keinesfalls ein Dal bestellen!

Vor dem zweiten Lockdown wollten wir nochmal Essen gehen und haben uns wegen der guten Bewertungen für das Bombay Palace in Friedberg entschieden. Also, einen Tag vorher dort angerufen und Tisch für Zwei reserviert – soweit ok. Dann am Samstag, 31.10., dort angekommen, wurden wir an einen der wenigen letzten freien Tische geführt. Das Restaurant war rappelvoll(!). Nach etwas längerem Warten, weil ja so viel los war – Augsburg Stadt war ja schon im Lockdown –, kam dann die Wirtin und wir bestellten die Getränke und das Essen und ich sagte bei der Bestellung, dass wir einen 2 für 1 Gutschein aus dem Gutscheinbuch hätten. Die Wirtin schaute uns groß an und sagte wörtlich „…ich nehme heute keine Gutscheine an … ich habe heute überhaupt keinen Gutschein angenommen … wir müssen auch schauen, wo wir bleiben… „ … und außerdem hätte ich das bei der telefonischen Reservierung sagen müssen! Wir waren total baff, denn das wurde uns so unfreundlich entgegengeschleudert, dass wir wieder aufgestanden und gegangen sind, nachdem wir der Wirtin sagten, diese Art wäre keine gute Werbung für sie. Soweit mir die Spielregeln des Gutscheinbuchs bekannt sind, soll man das vor/bei der Bestellung sagen und zeigen und nicht bei einer vorherigen telefonischen Tischreservierung. Auch war an diesem Tag kein gesetzlicher Feiertag oder ähnliches – es war reine Willkür und für uns eine Unverschämtheit der Wirtin, sich nicht an ihr im Gutscheinbuch gegebenes Angebot zu halten. Natürlich haben wir Verständnis für die derzeit prekäre Lage der Restaurants, aber da wir wieder gegangen sind, sind ihnen Einnahmen, die sie - auch mit Gutschein - durch uns bekommen hätten, entgangen. Keine Ahnung, wie das Essen dort schmeckt, das Restaurant ist für uns sozusagen „gegessen“!

wir sind durch Zufall nach unserem Einkauf im Möbelhaus hier gelandet, weil wir keine Lust hatten in die Stadt zu fahren. Auch diesmal hat tripadvisor wieder hervorragende Hilfe geleistet :-) Wir hatten ein fantastisches Abendessen mit tollem Service und sind pappsatt auf dem Weg nach Hause. Wir können das Restaurant zu 100% weiterempfehlen und wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, freuen wir uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Freundliches Personal. Kleiner Gruß aus der Küche. War sehr lecker. Hauptspeisen mit leckeren orientalischen Gewürzen. Beim betreten des Restaurants strömt einem die gesamte Bandbreite der orientalischen Gerüche entgegen.

Ein typisch indisch eingerichtetes Lokal, angenehm groß, leckeres Essen, netter und freundlicher Service. Es kam alles sehr schnell, hat sehr gut geschmeckt, Preis angemessen. Reichliche Auswahl und eban auch an vegetarischen Gerichten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

und habe die Entscheidung nicht bereut. Gute indische Küche und sehr freundlicher Service. War ein sehr netter Abend. Komme gerne wieder.
