There really can't be any talk of a relaxed atmosphere here. We were here on a weekday evening and it was just crowded and loud. The tables are so close together that we had problems finding a seat because there was only a very small gap between them. The neighboring tables had to move to the side, at least the few centimeters they could. It really wasn't nice. The food was very tasty, so we'll be back again on a weekday afternoon sometime in the fall in the hope of being able to revise it to five stars.

First of all: The food was good as always. However, the service was unexpectedly disappointing. The two of us each ordered a main course and a spritz version. It was one of the warmest days of the year, and because we were so thirsty, we also asked for tap water - which was only brought after we asked. What did we get? Two shot glasses full of water – we thought that would be fun and asked if we could get a larger glass. We were then told clearly and in a not very customer-oriented tone that we had to buy water. Which is what we did. We were given a glass of chilled (tap) water - at least there wasn't a bottle in sight. Next door at the table a dog got a whole bowl of water. He didn't leave €90 that evening and still it wasn't a problem. I really can't understand why you're treated like that when you ask for tap water on a hot day. We also had a fancy drink and one of the expensive main courses on the table. For us, the visit, which was delicious in terms of cuisine, unfortunately remains with a bad aftertaste.

Nice fully vegan restaurant with typical regional food. Service is friendly and the restaurant has big tables inside as well as a nice outdoor terrace in summer.

Located in a calmer side street if Munich, this place offers delicious traditional Bavarian food - but vegan! Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating, food and drinks were served quickly. Everything was absolutely delicious. I loved the mushroom cream sauce made with local mushrooms called “pfifferlinge” and the German bread dumplings! This yummy traditional Bavarian dish is hard to find in general, so great that it’s being offered here in vegan. Highly recommend!

A really interesting menu - vegan Bavarian classics. And we weren't disappointed. The crispy schnitzel burger is really recommended and also the Schlutzkrapfen! Unfortunately we were too full for the Kaiserschmarrn or the mousse au chocolat. We'll try that next time :-)

The food was delicious and came very quickly. The atmosphere corresponded to a good middle-class restaurant. For the expensive price, however, we liked the side dishes, such as: B. the potato salad and the dumplings, not enough.

I always enjoy going to Bodhi, you can reliably get very good, vegan pub cuisine here. I don't know of any other place like it! A rustic pub atmosphere with a large selection of drinks and cocktails tops it all off. The service has always been attentive and friendly.

Great experience. Was there on a Sunday evening without a reservation and luckily got there early because it filled up quickly. The two ladies at the service were super friendly and seemed extremely competent. I sat near the entrance and they both tried to find a seat for all the guests who came in without a reservation. I ordered the duck and it was there within 10 minutes of ordering, chapeau! The taste really impressed me, it was very well seasoned and really reminded me of duck. The Seitan was really fattening and afterwards I was really stuffed. Prices are on the high end, but worth every penny for the service, atmosphere and food. For me, as a vegetarian with a love of Bavarian cuisine, the evening was really great and I really enjoyed it! Hopefully again soon 🔥

I come here again and again and this time I was unfortunately very disappointed. The craziest thing, 3 chicken nuggets for €10 as a starter and a chicken burger that is simply the chicken nugget starter with bread around it for €23. Absolute impudence! Schnitzel was made with way too much thyme. Tastes like someone poured a bottle of thyme perfume over it. Duck had too much cinnamon. The taste is still good, no question about it, but unfortunately it's no longer recommended for the price/performance ratio. The only thing that is always really cool and was also this time is the deposit and the fries

Very good food, quite meaty consistency e.g. in the "schnitzel", well seasoned and beautifully presented. The homemade lemonades were also delicious

Best vegan food in years!!! I can wholeheartedly recommend it if you have a few extra euros left (the two of you paid €50) and want to invest well. There really is something for everyone, again immediately💙💙💙

Traditional Bavarian dishes in a great, alternative flavour

I've been there several times and it's always delicious. I particularly recommend the “Bodhi Pfanderl” and the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. The mojito is also good.

This place went to sleep a while ago. Boring run of the mill vegan food. Served luke warm like the service itself. They were one of the first vegan junk food spots in Munich, back then it was close to good, now it's just treading old grease and a vision from yesterday

It was nice except paying 12 euros for two bottles of tap water.

The food is brilliant, especially the Kaiserschmarrn absolutely blew our socks off...unfortunately there is a star deduction for the subterranean service...we felt very forgotten twice and the second round of drinks was completely forgotten.. .there's still room for improvement, but I would still come back again because it was really delicious :)

My youngest and I were in town visiting my oldest and his GF. GF recommended this place and I was happy she did. I had the schnitzel which came with a salad, potato salad and loganberry spread. The spread was perfect with the schnitzel, really paired nicely. Potato salad was similar to what my mom made (she's from Frankfurt) Nice place, friendly staff.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Germany. No run-of-the-mill menu. Unfortunately on a busy side street, otherwise a typical Bavarian tavern atmosphere. We were here 2 months ago, yesterday and today.

The food here was fantastic. As a vegan in Munich it was wonderful to be able to taste the local specialties. The dark interior also created a nice atmosphere. Top experience.

Everything was really great! We really wanted to try Bodhi as it is otherwise impossible to get classic Bavarian food as a vegan/vegetarian and we were not disappointed. We called at 9:30 p.m. because we were unfortunately still in the car. Laura was super nice and very helpful! The kitchen actually closes at 10 p.m., but we were still able to "pre-order" by phone and when we arrived at 9:50 p.m. everything was ready to eat and it was simply delicious! If we come to Munich again, we will definitely stop here. Absolutely recommended :)

Who thought vegan German food could taste so good?! Wonderful homey cooking, carefully flavoured. Super friendly staff. With nice and original cocktails to top it off.

the whole store is a 10/10! everything is vegan, the food is amazing, we had the buffalo wings and the obazda as a starter, schnitzel and the pfanderl steak in gravy as the main course and for dessert the germ dumplings and the warm apple cake, service was extremely nice, all in all just great. We will be back definitely:)!

Super delicious vegan food. We had the “duck” and the lupine and wild mushroom ragout and were thrilled. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse, which we also really enjoyed. We were served very nicely, so we can only recommend the restaurant.

We were here during a trip to Munich. The Bodhi impressively shows that vegan food is not just “the alternative” but can really be a feast for the palate and the eye. In the past, alternatives were certainly often special, but not anymore. Absolute recommendation, not only for vegans but also for anyone who wants to try something different. Delicious, entirely vegan food. The schnitzel was juicy and the beer was fresh. The atmosphere is very rustic, a bit dark and very well attended. I came spontaneously, i.e. without a reservation, but that actually only worked out well because I was there right at the start, at 5 p.m. After that it got very full very quickly, so the utilization display on Maps is correct.

Just really good. Especially the Kaiserschmarrn at the end is always a dream ;) Delicious food, delicious cocktails, friendly service and a good location. What more do you want?

Good-not-great food. A solid choice, but nothing to write home about. I had the duck-style seitan which had great texture, but the flavor was dominated by a single flavor (allspice?) that brought little else to the table. Knödel was unremarkable. The side was red cabbage which was so sweet it was like candy. No hint of tartness or texture left. Certainly a bold choice, and not one I agree with. Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was good, but also very very sweet due to the hazelnuts caramelized to the bottom. The texture was very bouncy and the schmarrn came diced rather than the traditional shredded. The flavor of the nuts and rum raisins both did not shine through the thick layer of caramelized sugar.

Four of us were there on a Sunday afternoon. Since the sun was still shining for a bit, we sat outside. The dishes on the menu all sound delicious, and both I and my companion enjoyed everything. Since I can't eat wheat, the options for me were very limited. There was a dish and a dessert without wheat, both of which I tried. I would be happy if you prepared the dish with a different flour so that I can try more. Service is sometimes a bit confusing but nice☺️

Great food, cool drinks! Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. That's exactly what you often miss as a vegan, real Bavarian food... Desserts were good and sitting outside is lovely when the weather is right. It is also easy to reach from the subway. 10/10 will definitely come more often.

Although I love vegan food, unfortunately it wasn't that tasty. Quite tasteless, sometimes heavily seasoned to create any flavor...ambience not that nice either.

Brilliant! We had the duck and the mushrooms and were absolutely amazed. It's delicious. I rarely eat any meat and therefore have been missing a lot of the Bavarian couisine so I have been really lucky to stumble upon this place. Definitely recommend it!

The food really tastes fantastic and the variety of spices and flavors blew us away. The fork had to move around from plate to plate. The waiters were extremely attentive and listened to our every wish. Even our special wishes were exceeded. 😊

I love Bavarian food, in general. But how refreshing and fun to find vegan versions of the indulgence? While some vegans/vegeterians have no interest in re-creating meat ---- the recreations at Bodhi were great. I had the "duck breast" which was made from Seitan and it was certainly a passable substitute. Served with delcious red sauerkraut and a vegan version of Kloss that was remarkable given the lack of eggs. Solid gravy topped off the whole dish. It was a beautiful evening so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather but loved the snarky sayings, t-shirts and stickers inside. Also appreciated the fact that they served good beer and drinks which is oddly sometimes missing from vegan places.

Unfortunately, the name is always a bit misleading. Great Kaiserschmarrn! Great dish selection. The ambience matches the rustic dishes, you have to like it. Unfortunately, the volume level is quite high.

Simply brilliantly delicious vegan Bavarian cuisine. The tempeh roulades were better than the usual meat roulades. Service is very friendly and the side dishes and sauce were also fantastic. In summer you can sit outside nicely.

Pros: friendly bartender (supported his colleague), good vegan selection Cons: we sat outside on the street in the blazing sun because the only free shaded areas were cordoned off. The waitress was barely visible and inattentive. We waited far too long for the second side salad as well as for the cutlery, the menu, the dessert and also for payment. (We ended up eating the food because the ToGo packaging simply wasn't brought.) But the highlight was the food itself: Barely seasoned cheese spaetzle, a tiny portion of Schlutzkrapfen, very sour salad and the patty of the tempeh burger was definitely expired! (We later found out through research that the ammonia taste indicates that it has expired.)

We waited twice for 30 minutes for food because we forgot, it came to the table practically cold. Dear team as restaurateurs, we actually take care of the drinks!

If you are looking for Bavarian but want to eat vegan then this is the right restaurant. We recently went there for the first time and were very satisfied. The roast duck and the schnitzel were both very tasty. Can only say something positive.

Good vibe of Bavarian kitchen. They have a unique concept of vegan bavarian cuisine. The main courses „Their Classic fried tofu with Blaukraut and Knödel“ and „Pilzpfanne mit Knödel“ were good but there is still room for improvement especially when compared with classic bavarian restaurants. The starter „buffalo wings“ were amazing. The dessert „Germknödel“ was below average because of the hard consisteny. The amtosphere and service was cool and friendly though crowded. The portions are really satisfied with the price.

The staff was very nice and quick. The food is industrially pre-prepared stuff with few fresh side dishes. These are also from the cheapest, C-ware. The ambience seems a bit run down, a bit worn out… All in all, not a recommendation!

The food was really very good! Unfortunately the service wasn't quite as good. The service was friendly, but: We came with a stroller and dog. No one held the door open or helped us with the stairs when we came or went. That was very disappointing. And although we stated both when making the reservation, we had a very unfavorable place.

Far too little space. Operators not trained. Convenience in the form of partially finished products that are sometimes over-seasoned. Very greasy due to the breading, but fat and carbohydrates provide flavor and that's what's appreciated. Little fresh and home-prepared food, thawed and nicely arranged with, for example, a few fresh lettuce leaves or sprouts. It's a good concept to provide guests with a supposedly healthy diet However, the prices are too high.

Food was great, chilli cheese nuggets were very tasty. Staff have no idea and struggle to tend to tables properly. * Have come back multiple times and it seems service had lacked over times, even in the quieter periods..

Rustic, cozy restaurant. You feel like you're in a pub. The food is completely vegan and very tasty! We had the crispy steak, a roast duck and a breadless burger, which all tasted very good. It's a little more expensive, but the quality is great! Highly recommended!

Great, rustic atmosphere and I was finally able to show my vegan sister the Bavarian cuisine that I've been raving about for a long time 😂 she was completely thrilled and we all (even the non-vegans 😉) really enjoyed it. The portions were almost excessively large and we all took something different so we could swap and try. 10/10🌱💚

The concept is great! The selection was also good. The portion (Pfanderl) was too small for me, the red cabbage was only lukewarm / still cold in some places. For around €28 including a drink I expect more.

We sat down here with half-hungry bellies, not knowing that we were about to devour the meals of our lives. The vegan roulades practically melted in my mouth and the tenderness and crispiness of the Wiener Schnitzel gave me a nightmare last night that I had to cook it again and couldn't.

Its great that this place serves so many vegan options.. I tried Schnitze art and it was very oily and I was disappointed with the taste. My fried ordered the Beyond meat cheese bueger and it was quite dry .. you can see in pic its literally patty bun and cheese slice for a price of 16 euros .. not worth it.. For a vegan place, its quite overpriced i feel. However , ai must say I was pleasantly surprised to see the Dessert options and they have some amazing desserts..

Super good, 100% plant-based food. Anyone who reads the menu won't believe that these dishes can also be vegan. In bodhi you are taught otherwise. Very very tasty!

Despite the lack of skilled workers, it would be very appropriate not to receive the following answer when asked about bread: "I only have two hands!" very disappointing, hair in the limo, eating to-go without a bag. There really is still a need for optimization.

It was simply a pleasure to eat there, we had the buffalo wings, loaded fries, the Tiroler Schlutzkrapfen and the duck, everything was delicious and couldn't have been done better. When I'm back in Munich, I'll definitely pay another visit.

If you could give 10 stars, I would. Even as a non-vegan, I can say: These were by far the best chili cheese fries of my life. Burger was also great and especially the vegan duck looked great.

The food, the ambience and the service would be perfect. The roast duck was exceptional and the red cabbage and the dumpling tasted like Grandma's! The portion size was great and the price was more than fair! A must for anyone who wants to taste good German dishes in Munich!

We were there for the second time, it was very tasty, the atmosphere was familiar and somehow unknown at the same time (vegan in a tavern atmosphere). An absolute recommendation if you come to Munich as a vegan or as a person who is open to vegans. You can't expect it to taste like meat to an omnivore, but I think it will taste like meat to a vegan.

Had a great evening there! The food is extremely good, the service is very friendly and quick and the atmosphere is very cozy, almost like a pub. If you like vegan, hearty food, this is the place for you. It's a shame that Bodhi doesn't exist in my hometown!

The ambience is a nice mix of a traditional Bavarian restaurant and a student bar. Service was great, very polite, nice and fast. As it's a pure vegan restaurant, they have "veganized" German classic food like "Rouladen" what I had. Never thought it would be that delicious but it even exceeded my expectation. So I could fully recommand this place.

A very busy vegan pub, serving Bavarian dishes made plant based. Many dishes contain fake meat, there are some non-meaty ones as well. I had the Pfanderl, which had a lovely crunchy crust. It was very busy when I visited Friday 8:30pm, might be worth reserving a table.

It was a successful culinary excursion. What seems quite inconspicuous from the outside unfolds into a rustic pub charm full of character inside. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and tasty Bavarian cuisine. The portions are large. We were happy to have shared the starter and dessert (2 people). Definitely worth a visit! Bavarian meets vegan. Tradition meets modern. Great concept and even better food. We can especially recommend the Bodhi Pfanderl, unfortunately of course at Munich prices. Otherwise, a little more changing dishes on the menu would be nice. But that's the only thing we can complain about.

Great local with really good meatless alternatives to the otherwise meaty brewery dishes. Price is appropriate for a place like this and the service was very nice. It was very busy on a Tuesday evening, make sure to reserve and maybe bring 10 extra minutes with you :)
