Very pleasant “brewery atmosphere”. BlockBräu tastes good, the food is good, the typical brewery is rather rustic. Attentive and friendly service. Very good for visiting with a larger group.

It was the first time we ate there and we remember it a long time ago. We were thrilled.

Ambience was good but unfortunately very loud. It always pulled a little, so it was a bit fresh. The service was friendly and available at any time, but unfortunately you could feel the stress. The food (fried fish, fries and pretzel) pretzel was very dry, fries were oversalted, baked fish was very small and dry. We were disappointed with the prices. Drinks are clearly overpriced! A 0.33 liter cola for €5.00 is more than a gas station takes at night!

Good location, right on the jetties, service very nice, decor very rustic, but the food is not really good and very overpriced. The grams of the dishes are sometimes incorrect; the fried fish had a lot more dough than fish. It feels like there are a lot of tourists who won't come back.

Fish fillet with mashed potatoes - was okay, but in my opinion a bit too expensive for two small pieces of fillet. friendly and unobtrusive service. Brewery flair.

Unfortunately, the following night and day involved severe nausea and vomiting. In all likelihood it was the sauerkraut that was served with it. The food was served within 2 minutes and we can't assume that it had been kept warm for a long time and was therefore spoiled. The service also leaves a lot to be desired compared to previous years. We won't be coming back and can't recommend it either.

The beer was tasty and the service was good. I didn't think the portion size of my fried fish was appropriate for 20.50 euros, I wasn't really full. But it was tasty.

The location is of course great, easy to reach and central. It's very cozy and beautifully lit inside. The beer was delicious, the staff was friendly and the toilets were clean. Now the criticisms: The beer is comparatively very expensive at €6.80 for 0.5L. The food was not as generous in portion as you would imagine in a brewery, but rather very small and unimaginative. Snack with fresh butter wasn't convincing at all, tiny slices of brown bread and packaged small cubes of butter... So the food was very disappointing and the prices, as already mentioned, were very high.

Ambiance: the atmosphere is rustic, cozy - typical brewery. The location and the view are great! Service: The service was attentive and friendly, unfortunately an order was mixed up - which can happen. But no replacement was offered, which is a shame. Eat: The portions are not particularly large, so depending on how hungry you are, you may not feel full. Unfortunately, the food is also not good. It's bland, carelessly prepared and everything was a bit too overdone. Unfortunately, the quality is more reminiscent of a snack bar, but nothing more. Prices: The prices are ok, but a bit too expensive for the quality and portion. The beer price is not exactly cheap at €4.30 for 0.3L - even for a brewery. Beer: The beer was really good compared to the food. Conclusion: Comfortable for drinking beer. I wouldn't recommend eating here - apart from a portion of fries.

We were in Block Bräu with a group (4 people) and had a fantastic experience. The pork knuckle we ordered was absolutely outstanding – tender, juicy and flavorful. The best thing: It was served super quickly. We liked it so much that we immediately ordered a second pork knuckle! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. A special tip: Even if it looks like everything is full, it's worth asking. At first we thought there wouldn't be any free space, but then we got a table - well organized! Conclusion: Very good food, great service and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Schönes Ambiente, direkt am Wasser gelegen. Die Landungsbrücken laden zum spazieren ein. Ein großes Brauhaus über mehrere Etagen. Das Essen war sehr lecker: Wir hatten eine Gulaschsuppe, Haxe und Matjes. Cappuccino und Wein sehr lecker, ebenfalls ist das selbst gebraute Bier sehr empfehlenswert. Nette Bedienung, die regelmäßig sich nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt hat.

Had a Christmas party there with the company last night. Service was nice and friendly. Food was a complete disaster. Small portions of fish. Don't eat the knuckle, super greasy and extremely poor quality. Let the raw knuckle go back. Then I didn't get a new one because it supposedly didn't exist. Price-performance doesn't fit at all. Not recommended unless you just want to drink beer.

Not again! I was there for dinner with my (transnational) team and it quickly became apparent that the irritable and extremely unfriendly waiter Mr. V. had relatively little understanding of people who did not immediately understand the contents of the menu. This was reflected primarily in his tone. I've never experienced that before when paying for dishes (e.g. rump steak) between 25 and 30 euros and being asked whether you had ketchup or mayo with the fries, as ketchup or mayo are charged separately! Here, too, when I asked, Mr. V made a rather cheeky comment. The food is of average quality at best, my rump steak was quite tough, and the dessert prices are completely exorbitant considering the size of the desserts! The ambience is generally ok, there were 11 of us sitting around a large square table that was lit so differently that some were sitting in the dark. No recommendation from me!

Na een lange dag was het tijd voor een biertje. Hier wordt het bier gebrouwen. Keuze uit verschillende biertjes. Ik heb er niet gegeten, maar het bier was in elk geval goed. Op de plek waar wij zaten was het erg luidruchtig, door de vele bezoekers en mogelijk slechte akoestiek.

Unfortunately we didn't like the food and it was totally overpriced for the price. Unfortunately, our service person wasn't that friendly either. We were here once two years ago and the food was exactly the same. For me personally it is a typical tourist restaurant and we will not come here again.

Wir sind von Yelizaveta sehr freundlich und professionell zu einem schönen Tisch gebracht worden. Ab da hat Sam den Service übernommen: so erfrischend freundlich und umsichtig-also hier gabs nix zu meckern! Vom überforderten Personal keine Spur. Im Gegenteil, sie meisterten das nun beginnende Weihnachtsgeschäft mit Bravour. Nun zum Essen: Da gabs überhaupt nichts zu beanstanden. Sehr gutes Bier, wie es sich für ein Brauhaus gehört. Wir waren zu viert mit Schwiegereltern hier vor einer Abendveranstaltung. Natürlich war das Blockbräu Haus brechend voll, wie es in einem Wirtshaus üblich ist, besonders zur Weihnachtszeit. Wir sagen Danke und kommen gern wieder.

Very good location right on the jetties, the atmosphere is appealing, the food is of a good standard. The team is fast, as is the kitchen. An incorrect delivery was processed quickly. There are no highlights, but nothing to complain about either.

BLOCKBRÄU - is visited every time you visit the Landungsbrücken. The food is very good, although the menu is very clear. The home-brewed beers taste great, and there was a live band playing on our last visit. The music wasn't perceived as too loud; due to the design and size, the general volume is a bit higher. The staff is very friendly and really tries to offer every guest a place, even if many have already been reserved.

Went there for dinner with 4 people on November 24th, 2024. Nice, friendly staff, nice ambience and an open kitchen to look into. I had the golden perch (redfish) fried fish with mashed potatoes and remoulade. The fish was well baked, juicy and tasty, as was the mashed potatoes. But I was missing a lemon wedge for the fish and it would be great if there was some cucumber salad with the fish, for example. Just fish and a filling side dish is a bit low at almost €21. My counterpart's schnitzel was fried a little too dry, but there were plenty of fries with it. The veal bratwurst with mashed potatoes and cabbage was very tasty, but a coarse bratwurst looks better than a finely chopped one. The Hamburg steak with fried potatoes was well fried, although I have to say that €16.80 for a "meatball" with fried potatoes is already the upper limit for me. Overall we were satisfied and yes, you can come back again.

The view of the harbor while eating is really beautiful. The prices have increased quite a bit. For a matjes 16.50 euros without any side dish. They always had potato mashers for this price. Now it costs 4.50 euros on top. 21.00 euros. Juicy price. Then I can eat a matjes roll at the landing bridges for 4.90 euros. Because it wasn't more fish. Too bad

Great place to visit for great good and great beers! Busy place with a good vibe, very good beers and great food.. Schweinhaxe and Schnitzels are highly recommended 👍 In the summer time they have a really nice rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the harbour view while having a cold beer and some food.

The food was good. I couldn't understand why you had to order Brot separately for the Brotzeit... does not make sense, but otherwise lovely wait staff and the food was good. Nice view on the harbour as well.

Unfortunately less suitable for vegetarians. Both vegetarian dishes on the menu are pretty unimaginative and taste more like "OK". In my opinion, the prices are more like tourist prices. On the positive side: - The service is friendly and courteous. - The location

We ate there twice during our stay in Hamburg, once in the evening after a harbor tour and the other evening after the musical. On both evenings we were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The food was excellent. The service was still very friendly and accommodating even at a late hour. Always recommended if you are planning a trip to Hamburg.

Amazing food, in a very cozy place. Beer delicious. Goulash and potato soup outstanding. Perfect snack for a cold day. We came here amtwice during our meaty in Hamburg. Once we got and acceptable service. Second time was the most rude waiter, speaking really bad to us. And when we dare to ask her something about the menu we really regret. The place is worth it for the food and the beer. Don’t expect to feel welcome by the staff.

I love craft beer restaurants and even more if they are situated in an ancient building, here ať the main pier in Hamburg. Must see!

A Haksen restaurant with a huge brewery! I was a little wary because it was near a tourist attraction, but it was delicious haha. There was a review that said it was a large portion, but we ordered only one portion per person haha. Berlin had a potato garnish that didn't have a great texture, but this one was creamier and more delicious. I drank Althra non-alcoholic beer. Why is non-alcoholic beer delicious in Germany?! The atmosphere was a little hectic, but everyone was so kind and I had a good time and enjoyed the meal!

We were really excited! The rooms were clean, well-kept and made an inviting impression. The service was very good and friendly! There were two types of beer on tap that day: Light and Alt. Both very tasty! Our chosen meal also tasted excellent! We will definitely come back next time we visit Hamburg!

Great, home-brewed beer very tasty. Hearty specialties to eat. It's a good place to stop if you're at the harbor. Always very popular even with visitors from out of town.

Büsumer crabs should also be these and not some other colorless, tasteless animal. The rump steak was also mediocre, something we are used to in the log cabin. However, the service is extremely nice and attentive. and that makes up for everything.

Rating with only 5 stars is always a bit difficult. We were here as part of an event with a buffet. The food was delicious, in the buffet form of course a little more cooked than a la.csrte but still delicious. It was always refilled. The staff was really quick and friendly. Drinks were always plentiful. Since I don't know anything about the price, it is not included in the rating.

A very nice, Hanseatic place to eat deliciously, drink well and enjoy the view of the Elbe. It wasn't our first time there and definitely not our last!

In the evening the three of us with children went for dinner after a harbor tour. Despite a lot of visitors at 7:30 p.m., we were assigned a table after a short wait. The restaurant is spread over 2 floors and is very spacious; the theme of "brewing beer" is integrated into the premises. The furnishings combine traditional and modern. The service was very quick with the drinks and attentive and friendly despite the full house. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared, and the price-performance ratio was appropriate for the location. Highly recommended, we would love to come back.

Vorab, wir sind auf Empfehlung eines guten Freundes nach hier gekommen und vielleicht hatte die Brauhausküche keinen idealen Tag. Wie immer in kurzen Worten: Lokation: 9/10 Ambiente: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Speisen: 4/10 Getränke: 8/10 Preis/Leistung: 6/10 Kurzum: Die super Lage in direkter Nähe des alten Elbtunnels schwemmt die Touristen automatisch ins Lokal, was man der Qualität der Speisen leider deutlich anmerkt. Masse statt Klasse!

Great food and pleasant atmosphere

Went on a Monday night and it was surprisingly busy. Had a beef steak cooked medium with chips which was fine. Ice cream dessert was a bit boring. They had a seasonal Festbier which was excellent. Overall I would recommend.

A very large location over two levels, ideal for larger groups. Very friendly, courteous staff in every respect. Good down-to-earth food. It's fun to stop here and have a nice meal and chat. A visit is recommended.

We were here during Oktoberfest and had delicious meat dishes at a reasonable price. The conditions were also very nice and always present. The interior design is very fitting for a brewery, but due to this huge open space and so many seats, unfortunately there are loud acoustics.

Am liebsten keinen Stern, das schlimmste Essen was wir eh gegessen habe in Hamburg. Die Bratkartoffeln ist reinste Katastrophe ebenso wie der Backfisch. Das matje mit Brot war das schlimmste alles volle Fischgräte. Also wir werden nie wieder da Essen. Sie sollten sich schämen sowas anzubieten. Wenn ich an die Preise denke könnte ich kotzen. Wie hatte. Die Teller fast voll zurück geben lassen. Es gab keine Entschuldigungen .

Ein riesiges und uriges Bier-Restaurant auf zwei Etagen verteilt mit sehr raschem Service. Einmal hatten wir den Spanferkel Krustenbraten und das 2. Mal natürlich die Haxen, dazu das hausgemachte Blockbräu aus der Brauerei, die man im hinteren Teil im Erdgeschoss hinter einer Glasfront sehen kann. Die urchige Hausmannskost hat uns sehr geschmeckt und in jedem Fall war man immer satt nach einen solchen Teller. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt durchaus, was man auch daran sieht, dass das grosse Lokal wirklich an beiden Abenden vollausgebucht war. Wir werden beim nächsten Hamburg-Besuch sicher wieder kommen.

Beautiful brewery right on the banks of the Elbe. Delicious beer and delicious food. But the salad portion could definitely be larger.
