First of all, the smiling faces and attentiveness of the employees are indisputable, it is truly a wonderful service. We went to eat Iskender, it is beyond wonderful, the taste is amazing, it is as good as the döner in Turkey, we wanted plain döner for the kids, but it was a different taste. I wish you continued success, I recommend it to everyone, it is the best taste you can come across.

I went because it was a Çoebacı restaurant. It was my first time there, but it was a disappointment. It's the first time I've seen such a small portion.

"Bizim Çorbacı" in Gelsenkirchen completely impressed us. The kebab was extremely delicious, a real treat even by Berlin standards. The service is professional, friendly, and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The only minor complaint: For us Berliners, they should have added garlic sauce. Otherwise, the prices are very fair, and the ambiance in the restaurant is truly pleasant and inviting. All in all, a great place to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. I've never eaten such a bad kebab in my life. The meat smelled of fat, was full of fatty tissue, and was dripping – simply unappetizing. On top of that, the tables weren't particularly clean. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a simple kebab durum. I ordered it with tzatziki, but all I got was some kind of thin yogurt and water sauce. The salad was labeled "with salad," but in fact, it only consisted of a few tomatoes and cucumbers – nothing else. I came all the way from Essen because everyone on TikTok was raving about this place. Honestly, I don't understand the hype at all. For that price, you can get much better quality elsewhere – like at Haus des Döner or other chains. A complete disappointment for me and I wouldn't recommend it.

Drinks usually come first, but not here. They simply forget our drinks. The food is already there, but nothing to drink. We remind them and the waiter tells another waiter. Everything is passed on. Bring us our drinks already. Totally unprofessional! When we get annoyed and say when the drinks finally arrive, the waiter simply says: yes, our colleague forgot! Yes, we told you and not the other person. It's not that hard to remember drinks. What a shame, and that makes you feel bad. No matter how good the food was, we won't be coming back. The food is delicious elsewhere, and at least the drinks come. Also, please don't just turn regular kofte into Sivas kofte. Sivas kofte is something completely different. We've eaten real Sivas kofte in Sivas, including at Ahmet Usta, and we know our stuff. You can't just call regular kofte Sivas kofte. Stop it. Sivas kofte is made from good meat, kneaded by hand for a very long time, with no spices, nothing but salt, and is stored for days before being fried. What you're bringing is just ordinary kofte that any mother makes at home. The owner is probably from Sivas or something, but please stop it.

This was my first visit. Bizim Corbaci has a very large selection, from doner kebabs, soups, pide to desserts, they have it all. I ordered a yogurt soup (yayla çorbası), a doner kebab plate with rice, and peach iced tea (Elephant Bay iced tea, in my opinion the most delicious iced tea ever). The soup was delicious. The doner kebab is one of the tastiest doner kebabs I've tried (it's in my top 3). I was here a second time. This time I ordered lentil soup and iskender. I rarely eat iskender outside of Turkey, but this one is very close to the one from Turkey. The meat is tender and tastes very delicious. The lentil soup was excellent. If you live in Gelsenkirchen or the surrounding area and haven't tried this doner kebab yet, you're missing out. When I'm in Gelsenkirchen, I will definitely stop by again.

The doner is actually good, but not as unique as everyone claims. Doner meat is pure meat, not minced meat, but not really steak meat as they say. It has a slight fat content with lumps that you can pick out on the plate, which in turn keeps the meat juicier than at Sefa Döner in Bonn (real steak meat, but due to less fat, a bit drier but with a truly authentic steak flavor).

I can only rate the doner kebab and İskender. The doner meat is a million out of a million, simply divine. But the İskender sauce was like a pasta sauce—such a lousy sauce for such quality meat? The food is very good, but when you get the message in the afternoon that you're out of doner meat, or only getting doner wraps and not a doner plate, and that's not an isolated incident, it's very disappointing. There's still a lot of meat on the skewer, and they're just making reservations for other customers during the day.

The soup tasted very good. However, the main course of the day, Kurufasulye, was unfortunately very disappointing in terms of taste. The katmer wasn't as good as it used to be either.

I visited Bizim Çorbacı Deluxe in Gelsenkirchen today and left with mixed feelings. The food itself, especially the Turkish specialties, was very tasty and truly delicious. Unfortunately, there was one serious incident that significantly marred my experience. I found a piece of glass in one of the dips, which I had in my mouth while eating and chewed on. This is, of course, not only extremely unpleasant but also potentially dangerous. What disappointed me most, however, was the staff's reaction. When I reported the incident, they simply asked if everything was okay. A sincere apology or a gesture of goodwill, such as a price reduction or replacement, unfortunately did not materialize. I would have expected a more professional and understanding response. Due to the good taste, I'm still giving it 3 stars, but the incident with the glass and the staff's lack of response are absolutely unacceptable and left a very negative aftertaste. I hope the restaurant takes this opportunity to improve its quality control and handling of customer complaints.

In terms of taste, it is a well-prepared döner that rivals the best döner restaurants in Istanbul, the oil is on point, the meat is not dry and the meat is cooked by keeping the juices. It is surprising that they have achieved such a good fat ratio in the meat with 100% beef, without using lamb. My advice to those who come is to order a portion döner to taste the meat. At first we went as just two men, a covered lady was working as a waitress and welcomed us very nicely. But then another woman who we thought was in charge came and her attitude was completely different. She gave a harsh order to the waiter saying “take these away from here” and we heard it clearly. They had seated us in the family section but then she started talking rudely and disrespectfully. This was the first time I had seen such an understanding of tradesmen. We had just said let’s have some soup on the way, but we had to leave without tasting our soup. Finally, she said “no problem, you can go” and practically dismissed us. It is really sad that such a business treats its customers this way.

I have visited many Turkish restaurants. From my own experience I know that there are good Turkish restaurants in Germany. But this will definitely be my favorite 👌. Wow! What a warm welcome I received and fast service too. The food was fantastic! So much choice with soups and honestly I have not seen that in the Netherlands yet, 'Correct me if I am wrong'. The meat was nice and tender and it is really Yaprak Doner 👌. Nice and tasty, as it should be. Really a top restaurant! If I lived nearby, I would definitely be here every week 🫡.

I've been a regular customer at Bizim Corbacı for a long time and particularly appreciate the very high quality of the doner meat – juicy, tasty, and always fresh. The team is friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, and I enjoy coming here with my family. What I've noticed more often recently, however, is that the ingredients in the doner kebab are unfortunately inconsistent. I regularly order doner kebabs with just onions, but today – as has often been the case – the ratio was unbalanced. A lot of onions, but hardly any meat. It felt more like I was chewing onion doner with a meaty flavor. I've also noticed significant variations in the amount of meat among other guests – sometimes the meat oozes out, sometimes there's hardly any in it. I strongly recommend consistent portioning, e.g., by weighing the meat, so that every guest receives fair and consistent quality. And please don't add extra onions to save on meat – that's noticeable! I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and improvements will be made in the future. As soon as I see a clear improvement, I will be happy to update my rating to 5 stars.

On my last visit I tried the Beyti – an absolute taste explosion! I ate it for two days and even cold it was still a highlight. Actually, I rarely recommend anything in Gelsenkirchen because the culinary side tends to go downhill. But I would definitely make the journey again at any time. The service? Top! Super friendly, attentive and quick. And to be honest: it's almost unbelievable that a shop like this is actually in Gelsenkirchen. If you are going to eat döner, you should go before 19:00. We ordered mixed grill out of necessity. It was enough for 5 people and we were all full.
