For years I have enjoyed returning to Lisa's cozy corner restaurant and feel good as a woman.

Just stop for a beer. Worst food I've eaten in Frankfurt. Rude staff like most Germans when they realize you are Italian. Frustrated!

What a great little bar. Don't read the few weird bad reviews. The staff were great and the food and drink very authentic. So good, we went twice!

I was hungry and thirsty after sightseeing and went into this rustic corner shop, from the outside it looks much bigger than it is. Very friendly ladies behind the counter, I ordered a hand cheese sausage and wasn't expecting anything big, but the sausage and the potato salad and the generous side salad were very fresh and tasty. I was there alone as a woman and felt very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the service is so unfriendly and pushy that I had to flee after a drink. I don't know her name, but I do know her entire medical history and the "fun fact" that she didn't actually want to work today because she was plagued by several physical ailments. This was all shouted to a gentleman several seats away from me, but thanks to her impressive roar, the whole shop heard it. You should definitely miss this in Frankfurt :)

Avoid if you are a tourist! Not a welcoming atmosphere and I was screamed at by the waiter because someone else bought my drink! My total was only 3.50 but I didn’t have cash (and was not told it was cash only like many others). I left my bank card in my room so someone I was talking to at the bar offered to pay for me (and I had planned to run back to my room to grab cash to pay them back). When the waiter heard that someone else was paying my 3.50 she freaked out and started screaming at me.

If you are a foreigner do not come here, bartender is aggressive and rude to anyone not German. Did not speak the language and was asked to leave because of it. She was prejudice towards anyone of different ethnicity and culture.

As a foreigner you will be treated poorly, asked to leave after one drink because we couldn’t speak German, cash only and did not inform us before hand and forced us to us there ATM with high fees. We were not loud or causing any issues, simple fact of not speaking German. Left a terrible impression of German as a whole. Avoid at all costs.

-5 If I could. 30+ reviews on the bartender that is somehow still employed. If you are a foreigner do not come. Was extremely aggressive, reminded me of the dean in Matilda. We sat down ordered two beers and half way through, told us to leave and put our beers in togo cups. Worst experience in a bar I have ever had. IF YOU WALK IN AND SEE A 40-50year old brown hair bartender, LEAVE.

I was at the Binding Schirn a few days ago. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm, especially on cold days. The selection of drinks was large, I tried the beer and it was very good. the service was quick and the staff was friendly. The location is also very central and ideal for sightseeing

Older service is very nice. The younger one is very unfriendly and makes the guests stupid with her strange manner. Don't go there with your colleagues anymore. Regular guests and international guests are scared away. It's a shame, we used to be there more often and it was nicer.

ANGRY WAITRESS the one with black haired who work in 31st December in the evening I was entering the venue in a big smile and was holding the door for people who wanted to go out for like a minute and nobody say thank you, well I totally dont mind. And then the angry waitress just stormed me out screaming “YOU CLOSE THE DOOR bla bla bla” I was so confused calm down 😂😂

We popped into this small pub and were amazed! The staff could not be more helpful and friendly, it has been the highlight of our trip to Germany. The food was delicious, beer and wine was fabulous. I highly recommend popping into this amazing friendly place. (Even when someone (my sister in law!) broke a glass, they were so lovely and helpful)

Schöne Kneipe ohne Schnörkel un Chichi. Das Personal durchweg freundlich. Insbesondere die Chefin macht einen tollen Job - und das seit Ewigkeiten! Man fühlt sich wohl wie in einer "Badewanne".

Nice little pub, very centrally located at the Römer/Paulskirche tram stop with very friendly, fast service, several types of beer, various drinks of all kinds and some small dishes. The ideal start to a tour of the old town.

¡Muchachos tengan mucho cuidado! ¡Así que tres muchachos, uno alemán, otro coreano y otro brasileño, todos juntos afirmando haberse graduado de un programa de EY para ser asesores financieros! ¡Haz como si fueras muy amigable y te invitara a tomar unas copas y luego acabas pagando 76 euros por tres cervezas! Sanguijuelas absolutas pero no quieres ver Lisa y el encantador personal del bar de su bolsillo así que pagas ! ! 💰

Gran lugar justo al lado de los mercados de Romerberg. El personal amable y encantador nos sentimos muy bienvenidos. El servicio fue genial también. Muy recomendable.

Nice and beautifully located restaurant on the Römerberg. You can sit outside, chat and/or people watch. The ladies in service are quick and friendly. There is draft beer and Äppler. Medlar very tasty. The ribs with cabbage are also recommended. Note: only cash is real - no card payment. EC card payments are probably coming soon. Update: cards have also been available since the end of November 2024. Hurrah.

Ci fermiamo per un pranzo veloce, attirati dalla centralità del posto, purtroppo però appena entrati, nonostante 2 sgabelli liberi al bancone, ci dicono essere tutto occupato..Quando chiediamo delle 2 sedie palesemente libere, il signore seduto di fianco ci dice bruscamente di andarcene e le 2 signore al bancone urlano un NO secco. Siamo rimasti di sasso, noi e altre persone nel locale che avevano visto la scena..(tra tutti un signore tedesco che parlava italiano si è anche scusato) ovviamente siamo andati via... Personale scortese è dir poco...Un locale che tratta i clienti così non merita di stare aperto!non so se hanno adottato questo atteggiamento perché siamo italiani,ma ovunque siamo stati nel mondo non ci è mai capitata una cosa del genere! Sicuramente non metteremo mai più piedi in questo locale!

Spectacular Weiss beer! And excellent service, there are some tables outside with a beautiful view of the square.

As an individual, I was warmly welcomed and served courteously. I was able to change the menu according to my wishes and received a delicious, inexpensive meal.

Das Lokal ist im Innenbereich eher als Bierkneipe zu bezeichnen. Sehr grosser Außenbereich mit grandioser Aussicht auf den Römerberg. Gepflegtes Bier und sehr nette, zügige Bedienungen.

The place offers nothing special. Unfortunately the waitress' behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful. Such behavior is unacceptable in the restaurant industry and had a negative impact on the entire visit.

They don't accept cards, and the service is terrible. I think I have received such bad service in all of Europe

In this pub, we experienced a bit of racism thing. This pub insists on demanding tips from asians. We are Koreans and visited due to its reputation. The beer was tasty, but we were suspicious about the receipt which included a 10% tip, a format we haven't seen in Germany. We asked Germans nearby and their receipts didn't mention such included tips. And they said this pub has never charged them the included tips to them. We felt this attitude was because we are Asian and were angered by the discriminatory behavior. If you are Asian, please avoid visiting this establishment.

Beware and be warned. They DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS. Yes, I know this is the 2024, but, incredibly this is correct. And guess what? They have an ATM inside the bar where you'll incur a rip-off commission withdrawing cash which you don't carry because you've never had to, traveling through Spain, France, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, to name just a few. Check out the other comments here about the lack of transparency and subsequent rudeness of the staff.

Cute cosy bar right in the heart of Frankfurt. Good range of beers and other beverages. Very good service. We sat in a cosy corner on a cold day and felt the warm heating coming through the vents. Was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy. I have the goulash soup which was so delicious. Hubby had a sausage on a roll Yum yum Recommend for casual drinks or dining

A very local and very nice place! Typical food and beer. Very reasonable prices! Many comments complain about the service, but I had a good time! Recommended! PS: The goulash is very good!

Cute and pretty Roemer Square, However, there are some very cold and rude employees!! Was there a need to hold on to the small chocolate cookie shell just because you left it behind? I paid a fee that could have been used to dispose of small tissue paper the size of a finger... but they have no intention of providing the service at all!! Are you thinking of traveling somewhere? How would you feel if you met a service employee like you?

If I could leave zero stars I would, the extremely unfriendly polish waitress was nothing but aggressive and rude I never in my life came across such a person. Eventually she tried to make us pay another tables bill. The entire experience at this bar was just pure chaos. Awful angry bitter waitress would suggest skipping this bar if you want an enjoyable evening.

If you don't want to be bullied, don't come here. We ordered the correct size of beer, but they didn't even double check it. Instead, they forced us to give us the largest glass and claimed without knowing that we didn't order properly. If you don't want to be bullied, don't come here.

No pro-active mention by the waiter that only cash is accepted. This is not acceptable in 2024! Would not go there for that simple reaso. Food was ok-ish, but not convincing either.

Very manageable selection of dishes that generally look good - if you are a fan of different variations of sausages. I had goulash soup myself, which was unfortunately terrible. Firstly, the very strange consistency and then the taste - absolutely not recommended. It was also seen that the meat consisted of chunks of fat. My companion had a tomato soup that was nice in appearance but weak in taste. Both seemed more like canned nonsense. Service is good, you can't say anything. But the soups should perhaps be reworked.

Here the entire staff, led by a very characterful landlady, is passionate about it. The location in the middle of the Römer is so unique! We always enjoy coming here for fresh drafts, schnapps and small dishes (always good and tasty) at any time of the year. Quality and price-performance as well as ambience fit here! We recommend this place to anyone visiting Frankfurt without any restrictions. This is where the neighborhood and the world meet.

Nach einem Spaziergang am Main, während des Weihnachtsmarkts, nach dem Einkaufen, ... Hier bekommt man sehr gute kleine Gerichte und frisch Gezapftes und kann bei schönem Wetter Leute auf dem Römer beobachten. Die Bedienung ist herzlich auf die Frankfurter Art. Wir sind sehr gerne hier!

Beautiful setting and the advantage of being open until late but poor service. First they tried to rip us off by making us pay for drinks we hadn't ordered, then it was impossible to pay by credit card (but there was a cash machine in the bar, so not too much serious), and then the waitress was very unpleasant from start to finish (even though she was at fault). Finally, we felt that foreign customers who do not speak German were not really welcome. German-speaking customers next to us were received much better! In short, to avoid…

I give 1 star just because I can’t give zero stars! Horrible service, waiter didn’t even bother to try to understand me even though I was trying to speak german. She was very rude, threw me the menu and then when I was still looking at it she was pissed that I didn’t make a choice fast enough (this was 2 min after she gave me the card). Could not even try the food there because I stood up and left before she would give me another bad treatment. Unacceptable!!

Roaming around the old city on a short overnight stay and enjoyed sitting outside watching all the action in the square. This a cash $ only kniper. The food is basic, tasty and filling. The beer is top notch. The waitresses are not the friendliest but … hey, this is Germany. One waitress came through for us BIG time. Out of nowhere a massive thunderstorm with Big rains happened and I asked if she had an umbrella we could borrow. She rummaged around in the basement for about 5 minutes and gave us a life saving umbrella. Very kind of her and very much appreciated ! (She will be surprised to see us in 2 months bringing back her umbrella !!

discovery of the city of Frankfurt. Very disappointed! We were a group of 6 and ordered nearly €40 worth of drinks. Three of our friends joined us, didn't order anything and were asked to leave; so far nothing incomprehensible. The problem is the manner, the bartender threatened to call the police and shouted at us... We barely understand German and were good throughout, we were respectful but it didn't work. was the case of the establishment. Note that this one was empty, we were not bothering anyone and that the group having ordered nothing left when she asked... Ashamed to threaten and speak to customers in this way.

Tralasciando la questione only cash (ci sono comunque cartelli presenti nel locale), le cameriere sono state veramente maleducate (due signore). Quando ci hanno servito ci hanno chiesto subito i soldi, insistendo continuamente. Dopo che con gli amici avevamo finito di bere, ci hanno esplicitamente detto "consumate o andate fuori" dopo appena 30 minuti che eravamo nel locale, anche prendendoci in giro. Servizio veramente vergognoso. Consigliato solo per una consumazione veloce o da portar via.

Locale piccolino molto accogliente con clientela gentile e alla mano, a volte si condivide lo spazio del tavolo perché l'atmosfera è davvero cordiale e amichevole, personale molto gentile e predisposto all'inglese. La birra è ottima e vodka un tocco di classe da provare prima di andare via! Unica pecca non si può pagare bancomat solo cash ma come molti locali a quanto ho capito un Francoforte. Consiglio e tornerei volentieri per un bicchiere

Bei jedem Aufenthalt in Frankfurt gehört ein Besuch im Binding Schirm dazu. Optimale Lage am Römer, coole Eckkneipe, angemessene Preise und ein toller Aussenbereich mit sehr leckerem Apfelwein! (Possmann) Hier trifft man auch sehr viele Frankfurter, mit denen man schnell ins Gespräch kommt.

Klar, Touri-Ecke...Aber 7 Euro für n Weizen is schon brutal. Dann war die Bedienung noch frech als sie bei ner 14 Euro Rechnung nur 2 Euro Trinkgeld bekommen hat... Brauch ich net nochma

Typische Eckkneipe. Hat, nach 20 Uhr, etwas von Paralleluniversum. Es ist dunkel, laut und extrem eng.

As a spanish tourist, I spent some time looking for a place to eat traditional frankfurten. Here I found it, at a good price, enjoyed the meal, and the service was great!

Typische Bier Kneipe am Römer , die mit Sicherheit seinen Charme hat. Das Essen und trinken war absolut okay. Was ich überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen kann, das man nicht per EC bezahlen kann! Hier ist noch verbesserungspotenzial vorhanden.

One of the best traditional German bars in Frankfurt old city. Near to the Main river and Pauls cathedral. Beer and Schnaps. Smoking is allowed. Small, but nice menu.

Bedienung war super. Leider kann man nicht per Karte zahlen, auch wenn es so im Browser angezeigt wird.

Ein Klassiker, es gibt leider eine unsympathisch Bedienung,die heißt Viola und hält sich für ganz besonders toll, fällt aber fast jedem Gast durch Ihre unfreundliche,dumme Art auf

Locale molto bello e caratteristico,proprio in centro città, nella piazza più bella di Francoforte. Birra discreta, ma esperienza con il personale pessima! Appena arrivati ci hanno accolti con fastidio, le cameriere non parlavano nemmeno l’inglese e farsi capire da loro è stato molto difficile. Poi abbiamo chiesto la birra scura e quasi era scocciate di servirci. Dopo circa un’ora che sedevamo, le cameriere si sono avvicinate per mandarci via. Quindi esperienza pessima. Ci sono tanti altri locali tipici in zona il cui il personale è sicuro più gentile !!
