Wir waren spontan dort zum Essen,es hat uns sehr gut gefallen,der service war gut und nicht aufdringlich, das Essen war gut.

Wir haben dort schon öfter gegessen und schöne Abende verbracht. Das Essen ist immer super lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich und schnell. Wir werden auf jeden Fall bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Bad Sassendorf wieder hingehen.

Wir waren nur zum Essen dort. Eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert. Super leckeres Essen, reichlich Auswahl. Normale Preise , sehr gemütlich die Raumgestaltung. Die Holztreppe hoch führt zu weiteren Sitzgelegenheiten. Wer größer als 1,97 m ist , muss den Kopf einziehen 😂😂 ( Holzbalken). Echt empfehlenswert 👍

Wir waren sehr begeistert nicht nur von der schönen Atmosphäre sondern auch von den Netten Mitarbeitern und den Guten Service und natürlich und auch am wichtigsten von dem Super leckeren Essen. Zur Empfehlung zum Dessert hatte ich ein Soufflét Weiß. Es war himmlisch und gab es auch noch in Dunkel.

Ich war letzte Woche Sonntag mit meinen Eltern abends hier essen. Das Essen war super lecker und auch sehr schön angerichtet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Restaurant ist auch sehr gemütlich ( allerdings war an unserem Platz eine Lampe kaputt und es war dadurch ein wenig dunkel, soll aber schnell ausgetauscht werden......😊). Wir waren das erste Mal hier essen ( da wir für ein paar Tage in Bad Sassendorf Urlaub gemacht haben), würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen. 👍😊

Wir waren am Abend spontan Schnitzel essen, und wurden leider enttäuscht. Die Atmosphäre vom Fachwerkhaus fanden wir schön, der Service war freundlich, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte aus unserer Sicht überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten das Schnitzel Wiener Art und das vegetarische Schnitzel bestellt, und sowohl Geschmack als auch Konsistenz deuten hier nicht auf hausgemacht, sondern convience hin. Auf den Wunsch nach Bratkartoffeln ohne Speck+Zwiebeln bekamen wir teils verbrannte Bratkartoffeln. Die nicht-verbrannten Bratkartoffeln waren jedoch ganz okay. Die Soße kostete 4€ extra, aber war auf der Qualität einer Fertigsoße. Unser Gesamteindruck: Für selbstgemachtes Essen -haben wir so nicht rausgeschmeckt- wäre der Preis gerechtfertigt, aber andernfalls nicht. Letztendlich abseits der Atmosphäre keine Empfehlung wert.

Wir hatten das Glück, am Samstag Abend ohne Reservierung einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Service wird von 2 Leuten gestemmt und trotzdem geht alles zügig von der Hand. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bier lecker, Essen lecker, tolle Location und netter Service. Was braucht es mehr? Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall eine Reservierung. Dies geht auch über die Homepage.

Sehr gemütlich rustikal eingerichtet. Wir haben auf der Empore gesessen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bierauswahl sehr gut. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Hier waren wir gestern kurzentschlossen und ohne Reservierung mit zwei Personen zum Essen. Obwohl das Restaurant wirklich voll war, haben wir noch einen schönen Platz bekommen. Das Service Personal war sehr aufmerksam und richtig freundlich. Das Essen selbst hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Es war frisch zubereitet und super lecker. Das Uhrgemütliche Ambiente hat sein übriges getan. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder

Sehr gutes Essen und der beste Service den ich je bekommen habe.

Wir haben zu zweit hier gegessen, schönes Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal. Die Weihnachtsdeko auf den Tischen darf Mitte Januar aber weg :) Das Essen war durchweg okay, aber zum Beispiel war das Brot in der Vorspeise eiskalt, die Schnitzel waren lecker, aber sehr dick (und eins sehr grenzwertig durch), die Pilze in der Sauce waren keine frischen Champignons, die Saucen eher nicht hausgemacht und der Beilagensalat für 6€ ein bisschen mager. Dazu kamen noch sehr unangenehme Gäste an einem anderen Tisch, dafür kann aber das Lokal nichts :) Fazit: Mal eben nach dem Schwimmen für ein Schnitzel ist es okay, das Drumherum weglassen und dem Service einen Hinweis geben dass das Schnitzel etwas dünner soll :)

Wir haben dort den Geburtstag von meiner Frau mit unserer Familie gefeiert. Es waren alle sehr zufrieden, das Essen sehr Lecker ( ich hatte Himmel und Ädd, ein Gedicht) und der Service war echt Klasse, 👍👍. Wir können den Sälzer Hof nur weiter empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage 🥰

Richtig schön uriges Ambiente in einem großen, offenen Raum. Wir haben zu zweit sehr lecker gegessen, die Portionen waren sehr großzügig bemessen. Service genau so wie man es sich wünscht. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

We went to Sälzer Hof for Schnitzel Day and were absolutely delighted. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the value for money is truly excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The schnitzel was cooked to perfection, the mushrooms were very well prepared, and the fries were delicious. A particular highlight: the draft beer – really tasty and perfectly poured. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

We haven't had such a good meal in ages; the schnitzel was absolutely delicious. We sat in a lovely beer garden, and the staff were very friendly. Now (November), we've been there for the second time, and it was once again incredibly delicious, with top-notch service. The interior is really charming, and we sat on the gallery – fantastic! We'll definitely be back.

Quaint restaurant, centrally located, delicious beer and wine, a well-stocked menu, and the food was good too!! So why only three stars? Unfortunately, the cheap dish (veal schnitzel, see photo) wasn't available two days in a row. That's why we chose this restaurant! You arrive shortly after opening at 5:00 PM to take advantage of this offer, but it was already sold out, nothing left. The same thing happened the next day. Of course, you only find out about this after you've already had your first drink in front of you. Then you don't want to change restaurants and just order a dish that's a bit more expensive. Addendum to the owner's response: If the daily special is no longer available, you can simply write "unfortunately sold out" on the board. Then customers won't be disappointed, and it's also advertising, as you can see that the restaurant is in high demand! (Fourth star added!)

Was very enthusiastic to get a schnitzel (Thursday = schnitzel day), but they were closed for holidays. Nevertheless 5 stars 😂

Although the service was good, the quality of the food was lacking. I had roast pork with spaetzle and gala vegetables. There was a hair on the pork and the spaetzle were completely cold. The wait was 40 minutes, which made the quality all the more disappointing.

This was without exaggeration the best schnitzel I have ever eaten <3 the schnitzel was filled with dried tomatoes, arugula and mozzarella, a dream ❤

We arrived without a reservation and were able to snag an empty table. The place is quaint and very charming. The food and drink menu is extensive, so everyone should find something here. We had the Sälzer Pfännchen (spiced pan) and the Mushroom Schnitzel, along with a dark beer and a Fassbrause (sparkling soda). The food arrived quickly and was very well prepared. The portions were large enough to satisfy an adult, but not monstrous. For dessert, we tried the two soufflés. They were also excellent. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

The service was good. The beef carpaccio is definitely not recommended! Price-performance rather poor. Too bad!

We didn't stay here but only ate, so I can't comment on the quality of the rooms. However, we dined like a prince. It was very good (it was so good that we immediately ate the food instead of taking photos), lots of incredibly good service in a great atmosphere. The next time we are in the area we will stop there again.

Well located, nicely decorated, attentive staff, and fast service. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the standard, as the chicken in the salt pan was burnt on one side and was served anyway. The rest of the ingredients, however, were very tasty.

We ate at the restaurant today and weren't that impressed. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews here. I only want to rate the food, as the service tried hard but was still overwhelmed. In my opinion, this is due to a lack of staff. As for the food, I have to say, it's a real shame that it was so bad for the price. We had the salt pan. The rump steak was cold. It's okay to be raw, of course, but rare. Here, it looked as if it had been pre-fried and then reheated. Even so, everything was drenched in far too much hollandaise sauce, as if trying to drown out any other flavors. For the schnitzel dish we ordered, a pork schnitzel arrived instead of the chicken schnitzel we ordered. The side dishes (croquettes) were also cold. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. The main course arrived an hour after our starter. The entire wait took one and a half hours until we received our main course.

Unsatisfactory service - never again! Unfortunately I cannot recommend this store. I never got my food and when I asked politely, I was fobbed off with an inappropriate comment from the waitress. That's not how you treat customers! If you value good service and politeness, you should go somewhere else. Very disappointing.

Went there for dinner yesterday with 4 people without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed. Very nice service who doesn't want to talk you into anything. The schnitzels were excellent and deliciously seasoned. We can only recommend the restaurant 👍

Unfortunately we didn't have good experiences. But first the positive. The location itself is incredibly beautiful. It is very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. The drink selection is also very good. But now to the negative: I also have to criticize the staff despite their friendliness. We ordered, among other things, a schnitzel. When I was asked: "with fries and side salad?" I said yes. Maybe you should train the staff and let them mention that the salad costs extra. And that's not exactly a small amount for the amount of salad. Just under 7 euros. The schnitzel itself was okay but could have been less fatty. The sauce tasted like ready-made sauce. The other dishes, especially the salt pan, were incredibly tasty. Based on the experiences we had here, we will eat somewhere else next time.

On a Saturday, as a single person with two children (5 and 6), we were warmly welcomed and the children received attention. Delicious food and a great location. I can definitely judge this because I stay in the best hotels and restaurants internationally.

I only rate the gastronomy - dinner for about 12 people. The pub specializes in schnitzel in dozens of versions, all of them interesting. People also praised other dishes. The beer is tasty and fresh, great local beer. I recommend visiting whenever it's open (because it's not always open).

We went there to eat a schnitzel, unfortunately the meat was riddled with cartilage and tendons. We paid and kindly pointed this out to the staff and were subsequently banned from the premises. This would not have happened with the previous tenant. It's a shame what has become of the Sälzer Hof.

We came here especially on "Thursday Schnitzel Day" (June 6, 2024) to find out that they are CLOSED. due to renovation...!.? I also went by in the morning and didn't see anything about this anywhere, not even announced on the internet... what a worthless entrepreneur. No address to ever return to.

Food, beverage service was great, with exceptional bad payments options. For about 20 years I've paid with visa or Mastercard, why is Germany so far behind? If you travel you don't want to have different cash left, therefore card is exceptional best option to pay with.

I went there to eat there on Thursday by chance for Schnitzel Day. The restaurant was very busy and yet there were no long waiting times. Very nice service, good price-performance ratio.

We had dinner there. Nice rustic atmosphere, extensive schnitzel menu. Friendly service, good beer selection. You shouldn't drink wine there. Good value for money.

A great restaurant for young and old. Very nice atmosphere. The entrance area seems overwhelming. In summer I can easily imagine sitting outside. Was there yesterday (Saturday) with a friend. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted in a friendly manner by the service staff. Feel-good factor 10 out of 10 The food was super tasty. Had the Ticino Schnitzel and my girlfriend had the Schnitzel Champions. (selection of chicken) The conditions (service staff) come across as very authentic after asking how the things taste. So you don't feel taken by surprise and just want to sell the product. You know what it tastes like and can recommend it accordingly. Great thing! Price-performance ratio is also great. I can recommend the restaurant with the additional approval of my friend. Reservations are definitely a must! Thursday is schnitzel day, I will definitely go there.

To be honest, I personally can't agree with all the positive reviews here. This is my own opinion and experience: The four of us recently had a spontaneous meal there. The restaurant itself was completely booked downstairs, which is why we had to go upstairs. A nice location in itself, but it was quite loud from downstairs, so you couldn't really have a conversation upstairs from time to time. The food I wanted to order wasn't there - according to the waitress, it was only available one day a year "like most of the beautiful pictures taken on Google". This statement made me suspicious. But okay. Schnitzels were very expensive because we weren't there on schnitzel day. You should pay up to 4.50 euros extra for extra sauce (this is also explicitly stated on the menu!). If you wanted instead of fries, for example: You pay 2.50 euros for reordering fried potatoes. If you want a small salad with it, you pay another 4.50 euros extra. This is outrageously cheeky, considering that they are “just” pork schnitzel. This easily costs over 20 euros for a schnitzel! The brawn was too caraway-heavy, and the fried potatoes were not fried potatoes because they were soggy. And the tartar sauce was clearly out of the bucket. Only the nice waiter, who actually works at the post office, deserves a star because he was very friendly and quick.
