In summer there is a beer garden in front of the historic backdrop of the former colliery - with delicious food and drinks from Gasthaus Stromberg.

A truly rustic location. The name says it all. Great ambiance, the beer garden with the word "Zeche" (literally "Zeche") is like a typical Schalke beer garden. It was like 30 years ago, but that's not a negative, but rather something to be praised: you immediately feel at home. The food is rustic and good. The waitresses are very friendly. A real recommendation, no frills. Simply "Zeche" (literally "Zeche"). Top recommendation

I think the shop is great, the staff are very nice and friendly, and the food is top-notch. I've been a customer for years and I'm satisfied. ☺️🤤🫶

I called earlier and was told that orders could be taken until 7:30 p.m. Shortly after 7:00 p.m., I found the door locked. Very, very poor service.

We reserved a table for breakfast at the beginning of September...and this morning we and our guests found the door locked????... Can't we at least call and cancel? I find that impossible! We'll never go back!!!

Here you can eat very delicious homemade crispy and Arabic ice cream; it's a shame that the business will soon be closing.

I'm not interested in all this star nonsense; whether it's 1 or 5 is completely irrelevant. However, expressing my opinion in words is important to me. The restaurant is great. We went there once and wanted to do it again yesterday. But it didn't work out! Word of the company's insolvency spread among people on the street, and it was also reinforced by a newspaper article. Given the quality and the very positive feedback (long wait for a free table), and the high quality, I find it completely incomprehensible, but never mind. The reasons for this and the fact itself are certainly painful enough for the business owners. However, why they are so incredibly consistent with their customers and guests, even refusing to cancel appointments booked by the company due to insolvency, irritates me greatly. Yesterday, we were booked with 5 people and actually received a reminder 3 hours before, only to find the doors closed at the agreed time. Dear young entrepreneurs - please correct your behavior! Bankruptcy is no disgrace, and even with appropriate transparency, it generates empathy among guests. But simply disappearing without providing the necessary concrete and personal information is not good form. If you ever want to venture into a new venture somewhere, please consider this: necessary transparency and commitment to guests! Thank you very much.
