A truly rustic location. The name says it all. Great ambiance, the beer garden with the word "Zeche" (literally "Zeche") is like a typical Schalke beer garden. It was like 30 years ago, but that's not a negative, but rather something to be praised: you immediately feel at home. The food is rustic and good. The waitresses are very friendly. A real recommendation, no frills. Simply "Zeche" (literally "Zeche"). Top recommendation

Elbinger Str. 2We took advantage of the breakfast offer today and were truly impressed. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of dishes. Everything was fresh and lovingly prepared. The coffee and hot chocolate for the children were brought to the table regularly and were of the highest quality. Scrambled eggs were freshly made upon request and also delivered to the table. The hosts were very friendly and always up for a pleasant chat. I highly recommend it!

Hagelstraße 15, Waltrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany We've eaten here before; the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was nice too. Today we had a reservation for 5:00, but at 5:30 p.m. the place was still closed, even though it said online that it was open. That's unacceptable!

Dortmunder Str. 5We celebrated our civil wedding at Küchenloft Waltrop on May 16, 2025 – and we are absolutely thrilled! The venue was beautifully prepared, stylish, and with great attention to detail. Everything was as agreed and requested beforehand. The food was exceptionally delicious – many of our guests confirmed this. We were able to put together a set menu together beforehand, allowing us to incorporate our own requests – including delicious fish, meat, or vegetarian alternatives. The service was very attentive and warm: There were practically no empty glasses, they regularly checked to make sure everything was okay, and we felt well looked after throughout. Thank you so much for this special day – we would celebrate with you again anytime!
