Best Western Plus Kurhotel an der Obermaintherme in Bad Staffelstein

Top location on the railway line and thermal baths, no noise pollution, our room was new and immaculate, breakfast left nothing to be desired, very very friendly staff, gladly again!!! When booking you can use your own SPA and thermal baths, recommended!!

Beautifully furnished suites with wonderful views, rich breakfast, friendly service. The extensive beer menu is fun.

Everything was great - highly recommended!

We (in our 30s) were just here to relax in the adjacent thermal baths, only had breakfast in the hotel or used the bar. Positive: - Breakfast with egg dishes a la carte was sufficient for us - Bathrobe and towels in a bathing bag. in the room for use (loan) - our simple comfort room was large and clean - Staff was friendly - we will/would come back, but choose a modern, renovated room Negative: - Room didn't smell good, a little like dried up dirt... - Rooms very noisy - Bathroom is the biggest point of criticism: shower tiny, supply/exhaust air inadequate, always too warm due to central air heating (?) - WiFi not sufficient for streaming - Breakfast without visible variety - Not enough parking spaces on the parking floor, as the employees apparently also park here

The breakfast was very tasty and extremely rich. Friendly service staff, we were completely satisfied. The wellness area is also recommended. What I missed is chilled water from the water dispenser. Otherwise, you can prepare and use infusions with different scents yourself. The refrigerator in the room is also well stocked. For me personally, I was missing a cyclist which I then picked up from the bar area in the swimming pool area. The bathrobes are highly recommended, not as white as you would find in other hotels. But gray and pleasant on the skin. I'm totally thrilled. The bathrobe corridor to the thermal baths is well signposted. The thermal bath itself was a bit confusing and you had to queue up everywhere. We would have liked to eat something but we didn't feel like queuing to get a seat. Access to the restaurant is only possible from outside. Everything is clean and tidy. The infusion staff is trained differently. Some try harder than others. Although 120 people can fit in the sauna, there were space problems. The interest is great. In my opinion, 2 people would be necessary for the size.

We stayed in this great hotel for the second time this year. The staff is really super friendly. The spacious rooms are always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The lounge is a beer lover’s dream. From the hotel you can get directly to the thermal baths via the bathrobe corridor. The spa area is also very beautifully designed and leaves nothing to be desired. We'll be back soon!

Very well located, right next to the thermal baths. Just a few minutes by car to the city center. Also very good excursion destinations nearby. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Management can be happy about the staff The wheelchair accessible Penthouse Suite is very nice and ideal for wheelchair users. The various restaurants are very good. The breakfast buffet is very rich.

Top hotel would be happy to come back again at any time!!!

Was only there for a wellness treatment

Dear Mr Poth, We have been coming here for many years and have always been satisfied. It was noticeable that the standard was changing and the prices had exploded. We accepted everything, it's just the changing times... But what was offered to us today is simply a complete impudence! We had booked a room, what a shame Dogs are allowed. As far as everything is fine. We have done this many times. However, we were given a disabled room with a nursing bed!! We definitely don't need this and didn't want to move into a nursing home yet. And this for €650 for 2 nights. When we asked, we were told there was nothing else available you wouldn't need to use it. I'm sorry, what?? We traveled 300 km to stay here and not in a retirement home. The colleague at the reception didn't care. She would have informed us that it was a barrier-free room. For us that means walk-in shower. Where has your style and standards gone? That was the level of a 2* hotel. It's just a good thing that there are other more stylish hotels with friendly staff. At the time when Ms. Fleischer was still working at the reception, there was nothing like that. For that much money you would expect decent accommodation with an attractive atmosphere!

It's unbelievable that rooms in a spa hotel are rented like this. Construction site noise from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with short interruptions. Slight construction noise was reported. Internet also doesn't work in the rooms. Unbelievable.

We have been there several times and would love to do so again.

Very nice hotel, the suite was nicely decorated and the layout was very nice. Staff was very friendly. The only thing that was a shame was the ban on smoking on the balcony.

We had booked 4 days at the thermal baths, 3 nights. It is normal that the first day of thermal baths can only start when you check in. I should have read from the small print that on the last day after breakfast you are only allowed to use the thermal baths until 11 a.m. I didn't expect a hotel of this category to have 4 days of thermal baths on offer. At the end of the stay it had a very negative impact on the experience. I'm sorry to have to rate it like that, but I didn't feel good anymore. I still wish you all the best! (The response to my criticism resulted in me having to deduct a star)

We are and were thrilled. Top hotel, top service, very helpful and friendly staff, top food and wellness. All in all a wonderful hotel. We'd love to come back and see you on New Year's Eve.

Service was unfortunately a bit inattentive for the price. 30 minutes at the bar with no response from the service -> there is room for improvement. Reception friendly. Rooms very neat and clean. Otherwise a hotel like many others, Negative: the breakfast price is definitely too high for the offer. 58 euros for two people, I know swinger clubs that offer better breakfast buffets for an entrance fee of 60 euros, even in Franconia in a central city location.

A great hotel for easy relaxation in the thermal baths. Afterwards or even in between, you can easily scurry to your room via the bathrobe corridor. Afterwards you can feast and have a good time in the hotel's restaurant and bar area. The breakfast is mega - for everyone who appreciates a proper and varied breakfast with all the delicacies. It's worth the money to us. I have to mention the great staff who are always friendly and accommodating. (This is no longer the case everywhere these days.) I don't include any photos. The photos from the hotel website show everything - including the range of services.

Very clean place and very friendly personal

The Hotel was amazing and would recommend to anyone. Super friendly and helpful staff, always answering any questions with a smile. Breakfast buffet was very pleasant arranged and the food was very good. It had a big verity of local food.

We take our beautiful photos with our eyes and have fond memories of a very nice weekend in Franconia.

Would like to give this hotel 10 stars! You enter the lobby and you have simply arrived! Everything feels so cozy and relaxed. Everything is clean, all the employees are very friendly, it just feels good. Despite the business trip, I am very relaxed.

EVERYTHING was just right, from A for arrival to Z for room. A hotel where you feel comfortable and, above all, welcome. But even the best hotel is nothing without its employees. Everyone, regardless of the area, was extremely nice and helpful. A recommendation is clearly given.

Because we were so relaxed, we didn't even take any photos. But: It was perfect, from check-in to check-out. Super friendly staff in all areas. A large, clean room with a view of the Staffelberg. The bathrobe walk to the Obermain Therme. And a generous, extensive and delicious breakfast buffet. Thank you very much, we'll be back!

Schönes Hotel mit wunderbarem Frühstück mit allen was das Herz begehrt. Schöner Spa Bereich und tolle Anbindung zur Obermain Therme. Toller Aufenthalt

Wir waren für zwei Tage zum Wellnessen im Hotel, hierbei ist bei dem Arrangement zu beachten, dass lediglich, die Thermenwelt der benachbarten Obermaintherme nicht aber die Saunalandschaft inklusive ist. Das größte Manko ist aber, dass das Hotel für früheres Einchecken Geld verlangt. Das macht sich dann so bemerkbar, dass man wenn man 50 Minuten vor 15.00 Uhr einchecken will nicht freundlich gefragt wird, wie die Anreise war, sondern nur gefragt wird, ob man "Früheinchecken" gebucht hat. Auch bei zwei weiteren Anreisenden gehört. Und der "Welcomedrink" ist ein Wasser mit Mineralsteinen, was in der Lobby steht und bei dem man sich selbst bedienen darf. Ansonsten alles andere top!
