Best friends should first hire German employees or send the current employees to a German course. The food tastes great, but it's impossible to place an order over the phone because you can't be understood terribly

The dishes come to the table at exactly the right time. If you expect to spend a little more money, you can spend a wonderful culinary evening at the Best Friends restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Are here at least twice a year and the food is always very good! We only eat vegetarian sushi and the awareness of this, as well as restrictions e.g. due to pregnancy, is very good! Special requests are accommodated without any problems! It can sometimes be a bit noisy at peak times. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

We have been to Best Friends many times and we always enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very inviting and nice, the food is always delicious. The employees are all super friendly and nice. Unfortunately, after we placed the first order, we were "forgotten". We were not asked any further questions about drinks or other food. We always had to wait and search for a long time before we could get an employee to notice us. That was a shame and actually a shame for best friends, because we would definitely have ordered more drinks... Otherwise, it's really always worth a visit.

Very tasty sushi, the prices are very good for the good quality and the large quantity (usually 2 nigiri or 6-8 maki). We made a reservation, but we didn't have to. Due to the good weather, the tables outside were also well occupied. If the tables outside are no longer available in bad weather, a reservation must be made. We didn't find the atmosphere that nice. That seemed rather cold and not very cordial.

The location of the restaurant is nice, right on the lake promenade. The surroundings are all very nice, the ambience of the restaurant is a bit cool. The service is very friendly. The portions are generous, so the price is justified. In terms of taste, the food is quite good, but the recipe from some other providers is a little more refined in taste. Unfortunately, homemade iced teas could not be ordered without cane sugar/syrup. Other providers prepare homemade iced teas after ordering and can offer a low-sugar preparation. That's why I deducted one star for the meal. Basically, I can recommend a visit with a clear conscience.

We ate here for the first time today with a friend and we were really impressed. The waitresses were consistently friendly and attentive and the outside seating was clean and well-kept. The food was then awesome. Top price-performance ratio. Ate No. 42: spicy wok vegetables with chicken and beef. Since neither of us eats extremely spicy food, we also received a milder version. So I will definitely come here again.

My 3 year old daughter had to go to the toilet for a moment. However, we were not let. I can understand that you don't let everyone who wanders into the customer toilet, but I lacked empathy when it comes to small children. I even said I would pay but was refused. Thanks for nothing and good business

Good Vietnamese cuisine, quick service, unfortunately a bit Germanized. The inventory is in need of renovation, especially the seating furniture is worn out. The atmosphere is quite loud and lively.

You don't order on fancy iPads here. In return you get really good food from nice people.

I've known the restaurant for a long time, but the last time I was there was about 8 years ago. Because we were in Dortmund on Sunday, I suggested Best Friends and we were not disappointed. Starting with the Thai soup, which I love, to various curry and papaya salad, everything was very good. I can also recommend the Best Friends Roll. The ambience is pleasant. We'd love to come back.

We've always been there for lunch so far. The dish is our favorite. Hot curry with roasted duck. As a starter I always take the Tai soup, simply delicious🤤. We've also taken sushi home with us. We can only recommend it.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Sehr lecker und ansehnlich zubereitet. Die Vorspeise war gut, aber der Hauptgang hat alles getoppt. Im Trockeneisnebel kamen die kleinen Köstlichkeiten zum Vorschein. Der Service war nett und authentisch. Das Ambiente modern aber etwas spartanisch. Das ist unser Eindruck. Andere Betrachter mögen es anders sehen. Es war eine gelungene Reise nach Dortmund.

Immer freundlich und das Essen stets makellos. Auch bei Abholung keine langen Wartezeiten. Leider durch den Aufbau der Räumlichkeit sehr laut und die Tische nahe dem Eingang sehr zugig.

Best Friends - bestes Sushi! Eine DER Topadressen in Dortmund. Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Viele vegetarische Gericht oder Möglichkeiten diese zu einem zu machen. Service ebenfalls klasse!

Toller Laden, leckere und ausgefallene Sushi. Etwas für besondere Anlässe aufgrund der gehobenen Preise (die sicher gerechtfertigt sind)

Wir kannten Sushi bisher nur als Teil mancher Buffets in Asia Restaurants. Also wollten wir Mal "richtig" Sushi essen gehen und sind bei unseren Recherchen auf die Best Friends Sushi Bar gestoßen. Wir hatten eine Sushi-Platte für zwei Personen und alles war sehr frisch und schmackhaft, kein Vergleich zum Sushi vom Buffet. Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam. Nicht ganz so gut gefallen hat uns das Ambiente. Das Restaurant besteht aus einem Raum und die Tische sind Recht dicht gestellt, daher ist es auch relativ laut.

Für mich eins der besten Lokale in Dortmund. Dort stimmt alles.

Essen top Service gut und Ambiente direkt am Phoenix-See schöne Aussicht was will man mehr. Heute ist das Wetter besonders angenehm.

Eigentlich sind wir gerne dort gewesen, aber wenn das "Tschüß" vom Personal am Ende des Abend des Abends das freundlichste ist, dann kann man sich vorstellen wie der Abend lief. Wir wurden gehetzt mit unserer Bestellung, Getränke wurden nicht erneut aufgenommen nur noch als man die letzte Runde verkündet hat. Es ist laut, dreckig und ausser dem guten Essen bleibt leider nichts anderes zu loben. Das Personal ist unfreundlich, gelangweilt, gehetzt und steht lieber mit dem Handy hinter dem Tresen. Wir werden leider nicht wiederkommen.

1A Fischqualität. Würde vorab immer reservieren.

Das war mal ein Service!! Unfassbar bemühter Mitarbeiter der sich um uns gekümmert hat und in Sachen veganem Sushi beraten hat. In Sachen Service kann man nichts besser machen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell, aber zu schnell wie ich finde. Grade bestellt und schon auf dem Tisch. Dadurch war der Aufenthalt dann leider schnell beendet. Trotzdem 5 Sterne

Sehr leckere Sushi. Die Qualität ist immer extrem gut und immer super frisch. Man kann dem Sushikoch immer über die Schulter schauen und sehen, wie die eigenen Sushi gemacht werden. Die Preise sind jedoch leider ziemlich gestiegen, vor allem beim Mittagstisch finde ich dies sehr schade. Es ist aber extrem schön im Sommer auch draußen zu essen.

Wir saßen direkt am der Promenade mit Blick aus den See, wurden mittags direkt freundlich bedient und das Essen hat sich geschmeckt.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch. Draußen sitzen bietet einen tollen Blick auf den See, die Bänke sind aber eher unbequem. Das Servicepersonal istsehr freundlich, aber eher unaufmerksam. Wir mussten teilweise nach langer Wartezeit rein gehen, um ein weiteres Getränk zu bestellen.

Das Sushi ist wirklich lecker, sehr gute Qualität. Der Sitzplatz kann furchtbar sein wenn man Nähe des Eingangs sitzt mit kaltem Durchzug. Wir waren jedoch nach Corona schockiert von den Getränke Preisen. Unsere Flasche Wein wurde einfach von 22€ auf 33€ angehoben. Seitdem waren wir nicht mehr da.

Das Sushi ist wirklich hervorragend. Mein Lieblings Gericht steht leider nicht mehr auf der Karte, aber auch dieses war eine 10/10. Ist immer einen Besuch wert.
