Never again! We ordered for around €130. The stated delivery time was 60–75 minutes. After 90 minutes without delivery, we called – they wanted to contact the driver. On the second call (after 1 hour 45 minutes), we were suddenly told the driver didn't have the address – even though we had spelled it out on the phone in front of witnesses. We were even told we could order elsewhere. When we did, after more than 2 hours, a driver suddenly arrived who apparently did have the address. Shortly afterward, the restaurant called, but too late. We would have even accepted the food – but only with a discount, as the fish and hot dishes were no longer in good condition after such a long wait (cold chain broken, hot food cold). The restaurant was unwilling to accommodate us and showed zero insight or apology. Conclusion: Poor service, rude communication, and zero customer focus. Never again Sushi Kaiser Dortmund.

€130 for stress, waiting, and cold food – no thanks! We ordered €130 and were served a minor drama instead. After waiting for over two hours and making three calls, we were first told: "The food is on its way." Then suddenly: "We don't have your address." The third call was the bombshell – the employee simply said: "Then order somewhere else." No sooner said than done. We had barely ordered somewhere else when the doorbell rang – and suddenly the driver was at the door. So they knew the address after all. The food was cold, of course, and some of it was raw fish that had been on the road for hours. When the restaurant called again and said we should take the food anyway, we asked if they could at least negotiate a price reduction. The answer: "No." So we declined the food. Nobody eats raw fish that's been driven around for two hours. No "sorry," no consideration, no understanding – just excuses and rudeness. For €130, I expected at least respect and some customer service. Instead: an evening of frustration. Conclusion: Once and never again. 👎

I've been a customer for many years and have always been very satisfied... Today, however, I was very disappointed. I was sitting at a table in the restaurant... There were only two other customers in the restaurant, who were already finished eating. I waited for quite a while. After 15 minutes, the waiter cleared the table... and after 20 minutes, I still hadn't been served! (The shop was empty.) Then I got up and left the shop! What a shame...

We ordered from here, and there were hairs in the gyozas. I called them to complain. Instead of apologizing, they claimed it was my hair. They then claimed they would contact Lieferando to refund the money. The refund hasn't been issued for a month and a half. So I was lied to, too. Hair in the food and lies aren't part of the service you'd expect. It's a real shame.

My experience was years ago now, so I assume this is a thing of the past: I ordered from Sushi Kaiser at Lieferheld (later merged with Lieferando, or rather, acquired it) and had to wait a whopping three hours for the sushi. After calling twice, hangry as hell, to inform them about my wait time, impatience, and hunger, and to check the status of my order, the food was finally delivered after the aforementioned three-hour wait (luckily, nothing could get cold). So, as a nice gesture and apology for the inconvenience, I was spared a brief moment of irritation, as I was served a bowl of teriyaki sauce—at no extra charge. I'd gladly return 😅

I always found the food delicious, and the price-performance ratio was definitely decent. But if you tell Lieferando that you're still open for another hour, you could still accept orders from people who already have their order in their shopping cart. Instead of suddenly not accepting anything 10 minutes later, when you've already picked out everything.

I regularly order from Sushi Kaiser, especially the salmon sushi – so far, everything has always been fresh and delicious. But the salmon on my last order was noticeably different: It didn't look fresh, and it didn't taste that way either. Shortly afterward, I started feeling very unwell. Freshness is key, especially with raw fish – and for those prices, it's really unacceptable to serve something like that. Very disappointing, especially since I've been a loyal customer.

I love the food there; the sushi, noodles, and many appetizers are simply delicious. However, I recommend either eating in or picking up. You can sometimes wait quite a while for your order, and it tastes best freshly made in-house anyway! The service staff are all super friendly; you feel well looked after but not disturbed when you want to eat in peace. Definitely comfort food!

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't a good one. We placed our order over two and a half hours ago and inquired after more than two hours about the order. We were told on the phone that they had tried to call us several times and had also left a message because there had been a follow-up question about our order. This was very surprising – we hadn't even provided a phone number. Apparently, there were internal problems, but preparation only began after we inquired. Overall, the process seemed very disorganized and not very customer-oriented. What a shame – it was not what we had expected.

The dishes are really delicious, freshly prepared! We often order the warm Tidzu Rolls, Tempura Chicken Rolls and various inside-outs here... Tidzu Rolls are particularly recommended! Every now and then we take advantage of the lunch specials. There is also a delicious miso soup. The staff is always very friendly, both when picking up in person and over the phone! The food is always delivered quickly and well packaged.

Yesterday our son ordered a sashimi nigir plate from Lieferando for just under 70 euros. When it arrived it was warm and it was mostly raw fish. He tasted it and the raw tuna tasted fishy and wasn't as it should be (edges completely dry). A few other things didn't taste good at all. Since he felt sick, he stopped eating and filed a complaint with Lieferando. However, we still wanted to clarify the matter on site and drove there with the plate today. The senior employee's reaction was extremely disappointing. Not only did he not accept any criticism of the freshness of the food, it was claimed that 80% had already been eaten. That was absolutely outrageous because our son couldn't eat anything else after trying it. Furthermore, he should have called directly and not complained the next day. To top it off, they now want to block us as customers, but this is not necessary because we will order there once and never again. I'm just glad that - because he's eaten good sashimi many times - he just tried it and didn't get food poisoning. We absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

We actually enjoyed ordering from Sushi Kaiser. The sushi was never great, but it was edible. In Dortmund it generally seems difficult to find really good sushi. This time we ordered a platter and had stomach cramps straight after and then a bad case of food poisoning a day later. Everything tasted a bit sour, which we blamed on the rice vinegar. It was probably just fine. Definitely never again for us...

It's a shame to pocket 78 euros and not deliver two warm starters and be called a liar. Instead of just apologizing for a ridiculous 11 euros. There's a discussion about the fact that it needs to be sorted out and then after 5 minutes you call again without a solution, let alone a decision. Although we offered that the supplier was very nice with the delivery and that he would be happy to come back and check everything wouldn't be a problem for us. Bottomless audacity. We called because two dishes (gyoza) were not delivered to us but were billed for. Instead of accommodating us, I was portrayed as a liar. The gentleman on the phone wanted to evaluate the cameras (the next day) instead of coming to meet me today. I received neither an apology nor the €11 I paid back. Of course I was allowed to call somewhere else to get food, spend even more money and wait another hour for the food. Great service I have to say. The delivery itself took almost 90 minutes. Unfortunately my experience was not satisfactory. Even when I picked it up myself, things didn't go smoothly. The order wasn't ready at the agreed pickup time and I had to wait another 30 minutes. The employee seemed unmotivated and showed little commitment, which worsened the overall impression. A simple apology would have helped, but that didn't happen either. Unfortunately, for the price of €62, the sushi was rather mediocre in terms of taste and quality. I hope these points will be accepted as feedback to improve the service and quality.

We ate at Sushi Kaiser three times during a city trip to Dortmund because our son found it so delicious. And not just him - me too. We were there once for dinner and twice for lunch. We didn't eat anything warm apart from miso soup, but the sushi was very tasty and we were always full. What's really nice is that you get a free starter each time. In our case it was Alaska glass noodle salad, which we really liked. It was always quick, even though the sushi was freshly prepared. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Therefore full marks from us. :-)

When the food arrived I was simply shocked and disappointed because I expected more than 3 pieces of each sushi roll and small gyoza for which I paid €6. In the end it just wasn't. I was full and then ordered 1 pizza SushiKeiser is simply the biggest scam. After I saw the food I just thought it didn't matter, I was happy with what I had, but it still wasn't worth it for the money.

Just ordered there via Lieferando, total disappointment, rolls far too small for the price and the most expensive two sushi rolls were charged for but not delivered! It felt like everything was stuffed with cream cheese! Smoked salmon in sushi wasn't that great either! In the end it didn't taste good and we weren't full either!!! The fried noodles for 10.90 were a mini portion so the person wasn't full! Pity!

Employee doesn't wash his hands. I was eating there with my family and asked an employee at the bar counter where the toilet was so I could wash my hands. As I went to the restroom, I saw another employee doing his business at the urinal while I was cleaning my hands. The employee simply ran past the sink into the kitchen. I immediately lost my appetite. I told my wife and child that we wouldn't eat here and left. Well, something like that is crazy... 🤢

Today we were in Dortmund for the first time and definitely for the last time. The food was ok, the service was absolutely inadequate. Two starters were ordered and two main courses, both were served together and one starter was completely wrong. The waiter took it with him, but the right one didn't come. Instead, a bowl of seaweed was placed on the table. When we asked again we were told that we had ordered it. That would be number 34. Great, we ordered the 43 and even repeated it 3 times. A main course included soup and salad. The soup was completely missing. When we asked the waiter again, another waiter overheard the conversation and asked if we still wanted the soup. We gave up. The missing starter was then served as a “dessert” at some point. Despite the lack of soup, the full price was charged. We absolutely had no desire to have any further discussions with the incompetent waiter. We paid the bill and agreed not to set foot in here again.

Wir hatten uns Sushi auf der Arbeit bestellt und es was sehr lecker! Wir hatten die Bento Box (Veggie) bestellt und die Crispy Box bestellt. Beides schmeckte sehr gut und die Bento Box hat ein super Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis Die Lieferung war gut Gerne wieder!

Service war top, das war’s auch alles. Essen war nicht so gut, man kann essen Aber Qualität war nicht so toll. Parken ist auch Glücksache. Aber nochmal hin, erstmal nicht.

Регулярно заказываем суши и другие блюда, по вкусу достойные суши и могу только рекомендовать, остальные блюда раз на раз не приходится. Касаемо сервировки заказа всегда - один вопрос, почему экономия настолько экономна, что на три порции суши лишь один соевый соус или одни палочки на четыре разных порций суши и соответственно четырех человек Даже если в комментариях к заказу просишь положить дополнительный соус, как правило это остается не замеченным

Dort essen ist okey, aber bestellen und liefern lassen geht gar nicht! Es kommt immer mindestens 30-45 später als bestellt. Dadurch ist das Essen kalt.

Bedienung unfreundlich, unpersönlich, desinteressiert. Misosuppe wurde in Plastikbecher bzw „Hundenapf“ serviert und hatte definitiv die besten Tage hinter sich, Toilettenaufenthalt garantiert… Ambiente gleicht einer Bahnhofshalle. Nie wieder. Auf Nachfrage, ob man denn zufrieden gewesen sei, wurde nur gekontert, dass die Bedienung ja für das Essen nichts könne. Trotzdem auf den Cent genau bezahlt. Null Empfehlung.

Das ist letzte mal bin ich da gewesen, und weiter empfehle meinen Freunden, Bekannten nie mals zu besuchen, weil ,habe ich was mit Garnelen bestellt,, 2 kleinen Stück geschnittene Garnelen Millimetern messig,nicht sogar sehbar und Geschmacklos waren!

Wahrscheinlich das beste Sushi-Restaurant in Dortmund! Nach dem, was ich heute gegessen habe, werde ich auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, ich habe noch nie so gutes Sushi gegessen. Ich empfehle jedem, das Essen ist sein Geld wert.

Гуляли з подругою по місту і зайшли повечеряти. В середу о 19:00 було зайнято лише пару столиків. Затишна атмосфера. Дуже гарна подача страв. Приготували їжу доволі швидко. З радістю буду рекомендувати це місце.

The sushi was completely tasteless, the rice overcooked and bland. The shrimp in the sushi had an unpleasant odor. The "Japanese chicken" for 7 euros was smaller than a pea and harder than a rock. Furthermore, the sushi portions for delivery were significantly smaller than in the restaurant – a complete rip-off! An absolute disaster, not recommended.

Anyone who loves Asian cuisine will love this place. The fish was of a quality I've never experienced before! The waiter gave us excellent advice and great recommendations. Top-notch.

This used to be my absolute favorite sushi place – unfortunately, things have changed dramatically. The quality has deteriorated significantly; almost every order contains errors, and if you point it out over the phone, you're treated rudely. Delivery times are now twice as long as they used to be, and the taste of the sushi has also deteriorated considerably. It's a shame, because I used to really enjoy ordering here.

Delicious sushi and fair prices, but I'm deducting one star because the selection (on the little boats) wasn't very varied the evening we were there (a weekday). We still left satisfied though :-) Thank you.

The food still wasn't delivered after two hours, and the restaurant's phone was disconnected. This was my last order. I had this problem before and had to get my money back from Lieferando.
