Bernard - Soulfood & Drinks in Wuppertal

We visited Bernard's for the first time today. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. That's really the most important thing when you're hungry 😀 But I also want to particularly mention the friendliness and warmth we were shown. Real "soul food." Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back!

The owner is very unique and warm and friendly. He needs to cook and serve everyone. It makes people feel at home. Credit cards are accepted. The location is very good, and the decoration inside the store is as warm as home, with many photos of the owner hanging on the wall.

It probably no longer counts as an insider tip, as Benny has been entertaining his guests here for too long. The selection is very small and the food is simple, but simply delicious. The service and hospitality are also just nice.

Delicious curries, always a pleasure

I am impressed by this restaurant and recommend checking it out. In terms of taste, the curry (in the version with tofu) really pleased me, there is nothing to complain about. There was also fresh bread with dips, also very tasty! Even away from the food, there is a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere here. I'd be happy to come back again when I'm in the area! However, card payment is not possible, so you should have cash with you.

I'm happy every time I come to Wuppertal and I can visit this restaurant. I particularly like the chicken curry there with the yellow rice and vegetables, which is available in spicy, very spicy or not spicy. In summer you can sit outside very nicely and the Luisenviertel is a great place to unwind.

Great place with a great food and fantastic service

The dishes are manageable but of excellent quality. The owner is always in a good mood. And the espresso from Kivamo, delicious.

Bernard is more than a chef, he's a maestro! As helpful as he is, he'll take care of you as much as he does his tasty curry. The food is hearty and the wines delicious (from the wine shop next door). A place not to be missed if you're passing through Wuppertal. Bernard's Soulfood and Drinks lives up to its name.

Super leckeres Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Der Chef kocht jedes Mal ein wenig anders, weil er sich Gedanken gemacht hat und das Kochen die Leidenschaft für ihn ist. Die Preisleistung stimmt total. 💯

Der Geschmack hat sich geändert, das Essen war viel besser, als es auf dem offenen Markt im Food Truck war, bei meinem wahrscheinlich ersten und letzten Besuch im Restaurant habe ich festgestellt, dass sich auch die Mentalität geändert hat. Ich wünsche ihm alles Gute!

Sehr gutes Essen, gemütliches Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung. Perfekt geeignet für die Mittagspause, da es keine Wartezeiten gibt. Leicht, lecker und sättigend.

Netter kleiner Laden in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist super lecker. Das Lammfleisch war sehr zart und auf den Punkt. Der Käsekuchen war auch sehr lecker. Personal absolut freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Weiter so 👍

Super leckeres Essen. Tolle und sehr willkommende Atmosphäre. Es fühlt sich an, als ob man bei jemandem im Wohnzimmer sitzt. Man bekommt eine Schlüssel mit scharfer Soße dazugestellt, so kann man ganz selbst entscheiden, wie scharf es werden soll. Definitiv ein Geheimtipp und man sollte reservieren.

Das indische Heilwasser ist das Beste ;)

Super tolles kleines Restaurant im Luisenviertel. Die Speisekarte besteht aus 4 Hauptgerichten, welche wir alle vor der Bestellung in kleinen Portionen probieren durften, um unseren Geschmack zu finden. Die Getränkeauswahl ist auch super. Das Highlight ist Rothaus Tannenzäpfle und Astra.

Sehr leckeres und aussergewöhnliches indisches Curry. Du bekommst dein Essen in 1 Minute freundlich serviert. Ich behaupte mal, dass ist deutschlandweit einzigartig. Kaffe zum Nachtisch hat aussergewöhnliche Schokonoten und wird frisch in einer Profi Maschine zubereitet. Ein Besuch ist wirklich zu empfehlen!

Excellente cantine de quartier. La carte est simple, mais les currys sont excellents (surtout l'agneau), les accompagnements sont savoureux et le service est absolument parfait !

Mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitete Gerichte und tolle Menschen. 100 % Weiterempfehlung.
