Excellent German restaurant with outstanding service. The food was of exceptional quality, but the experience was elevated even further by the waiter, who thoughtfully explained the dishes and provided pictures. The Spätzle were delicious, the red beer was fantastic, and the desserts were also impressive.

Официант (на фото) грубо разговаривал с нами, долго не подходил к столу, забыл про наш заказ, вспомнив, путал заказы и не реагировал на просьбы. В итоге когда попросили принести счет, официант нам швырнул его на стол. Хотели расплатится картой, но с нас потребовали наличные и категорически отказали в оплате по карте. Сервис в ресторане свел на нет приятный амбьянс ресторана. Надеемся, что менеджмент обратит внимание на качество обслуживания.”

For me, this is one of the best restaurants in Berlin for typical food. I suggest you make a reservation. The food is very well prepared and homemade, and the Weiss beer is very light. And the highlight for me is the crispy pork knuckle. If you're lucky, you might spot Fritz, a French bulldog who is the owners' mascot.

Here for all Italians! If you are looking for a place to eat typical Berlin food, in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, for the right amount of money, this is the restaurant for you. We had dinner here and ordered a simply delicious potato and mushroom soup, a sausage and potato dish and a meatball and potato dish, all accompanied by an excellent beer. The staff is very nice and kind and makes you feel at home. If you are in Berlin you absolutely must try it!

Map very clear. Relatively good German cuisine. Unfortunately the red cabbage was cold, the mashed potatoes were excellent, the schnitzel was ok, but the ribs were unfortunately much too fatty. All in all, nice location with slightly overpriced prices.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday evening without a reservation. I got a table. The waiter was very busy. I received my dish and later the dessert quickly and both tasted very good. Card payment is not possible.

Nuestro camarero era paciente, amable y servicial. Tuvimos una comida deliciosa y relajante, y nos sentimos aliviados de cobrar nuestra comida ya que no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de obtener euros, y él dividió la cuenta por las dos parejas para nuestra conveniencia. Basándonos en nuestra maravillosa experiencia, elegimos regresar allí para nuestra última noche en Berlín. ¡Una experiencia tan diferente! Un camarero diferente preguntó si teníamos una reserva. Cuando dijimos que no, apartó una mesa de tres y tiró algunos menús. Procedió a sentar a varias otras partes (al menos dos sin reservas parecía) y tomó sus órdenes y les sirvió bebidas antes de regresar a nosotros. Basándonos en las generosas porciones del martes, mi esposo y yo elegimos compartir una entrada y pedir el excelente postre que había sugerido la pareja holandesa que se sentó a nuestro lado la primera vez. Resulta que no lo tenían así que pedimos otro. Cuando finalmente llegaron nuestras bebidas y comida, todo llegó a la vez (incluido el postre). Como fue cierto en nuestra primera visita, todo estaba absolutamente delicioso. Cuando el camarero asqueroso regresó con nuestro cheque, dijo que no podíamos cobrarlo y no lo ha dividido. Por suerte, logramos raspar lo suficiente entre las dos parejas para pagar el efectivo. Pero las dos cenas no podrían haberse sentido más diferentes. ¡Si nuestra primera experiencia hubiera sido como la segunda, no habría habido una segunda experiencia!

I'm Italian and never thought I would eat so well in a German restaurant. Delicious dishes with homemade taste and very carefully prepared. The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and the manager is very friendly. We came back on two consecutive evenings.

The "Berlinchen" restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere that immediately gives you the feeling of being in a traditional Berlin restaurant. Small, fine menu and nice service in a rustic Berlin style. Five people had dinner there in the evening and everything went smoothly. However, parking spaces in front of the door are rarer.

When we were in Berlin last fall, I was on a mission to have currywurst, and this place did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, the waiter was friendly, chatty, and made some great recommendations for both food and beer, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience.

Tense, inconvenient service; we are bothered from the beginning to the bill by the lack of vitality, of empathy of the service. The food is not entirely homemade: we note that the “mushroom sauce” that accompanies the Schnitzel is cold, industrial, unnecessary. We are even disappointed by the two vom fass beers which lack energy, liveliness, gas and which are served too hot. We would have liked to taste the meatballs but there were none left. Frankly?

Very nice service, original feeling and the liver was super tasty! One of the best , if not the best meal I had in my vacations in Germany .

Endlich mal wieder eine echte gute Deutsche Küche, hier wird kein convenience food serviert, es ist wie wenn Muttern gekocht hat, der Wirt überzeugt mit seinem authentischem Charm und Gott sei Dank gibts Pommes nur als Ausnahme - Ich komme sehr sehr gerne wieder und kann es nur empfehlen!

Uriges Berliner Gasthaus. Die Bedienung ist mega entspannt und super gut drauf. Die Jungs bringen 1a Hausmannskost auf den Tisch. Wir kommen jederzeit gern wieder.

This is a controversial review. I liked the food, tasty, plentiful, beautiful. I was confused the next day when we came in from a walk, looked at the empty hall and decided to drink beer. To which we received a recommendation from the waitress (or the hostess??) to go there, across the street, and drink beer there. Pleasant Berlin hospitality.

The ambience was great, we got a seat outside, the weather wasn't too bad. We were served very friendly. The food was okay, nothing more. The dish of the day (chicken slices with spaetzle) seemed to me like it had been warmed up in the microwave. My wife's meatballs were also okay, nothing more. She also got warm potato salad. He was quite good. The biggest negative point is the drink prices, the bottle of still water €0.75 for €8.50 is cheeky and outrageous. The half liter of Alster was €6.40.

There was an English menu and photos, so it was very easy to understand. The food was also delicious. The price was reasonable even though I was pretty full, and the hospitality was good, so I made the right choice.

3 minutes after ordering i tried to change my order, this was not possible since the food was just arriving. 90 minutes the very poor food arrived. When pointing out the food was OK and my family waited for 90 minutes despite only 8 people was in the resturant, no discount was offered…

The food was good. The sauce for the Königsberger Klopse was a bit mustardy and instead of potatoes there was puree on the plate but it was OK. The beer was very tasty. Card payment is not possible. The service showed two faces. The young man was very polite and accommodating. The older lady was very peculiar. The welcome came straight away, if you have cash you can come in. When ordering, the note again although it also hung as decoration on almost every wall. We wanted to have the bill separated as there were 5 of us. Then it just happened, I've been drinking so much and I can't separate it anymore. We were then allowed to figure it out ourselves. The decoration and location is good. The size of the dishes, apart from the beef goulash, was more of a children's portion.

So far pretty good. As is well known, taste can be debated. Which is an absolute NO GO. That no card payment is possible. We were 5 people. The bill was not shared by the service staff when approached. Was left to our own devices.

The restaurant is a really quaint Berlin inn with a really funny, nice waiter who really makes you laugh. The food is excellent and clearly fresh and home cooked. The schnitzel was crispy. The fries were golden brown and homemade too. The mushroom sauce was under the schnitzel, which is why the schnitzel was not soggy. The mushrooms were cut myself and the sauce wasn't from a packet but really well seasoned and prepared. So everything was really tasty and can only be recommended.

He kept us engaged in conversation during our meal, even as he managed other tables. This charming local restaurant serves traditional German food, which was exactly what we were seeking. There is also a delightful, gentle 12-year-old dog that interacted with us warmly, providing wonderful companionship throughout our dinner. For those who fear dogs, rest assured, he was securely leashed and resting in a corner. The owner will check with you to ensure you're comfortable sitting near the dog.

A very authentic Berlin-style Restaurant with super friendly staff, delicious food and very friendly staff! I was there with two visitors from US who definitely enjoyed the Dinner. Recommend ! Be aware that there is also a bar with the same name on the same street, so don't end up in the wrong place ;)

Plus points are the absolutely great service staff and the rustic, stylish ambience. The food is tasty and of good quality, but you should have had a very good lunch if you come here in the evening. The portions are definitely not for those who are very hungry. Unfortunately, card-paying guests are not welcome, which can certainly be tolerated in the cheap pub segment, but since we are not here, one point is deducted for this.

Too bad, I wanted to give 10 stars but it's not possible!! I can only give 5!! I can say that it is the place where I ate best in all of Berlin! Truly homemade and quality cuisine, we took the braised meat and the meatballs with caper cream, both cooked impeccably. The service is very prepared and courteous, they show you real photos of the dishes cooked with a tablet and explain all the ingredients and how the dish is cooked. Really gentlemen, in Berlin it is difficult, as an Italian, to leave a restaurant and say "I ate really well here", but here it happens! Seeing is believing! Enjoy! P.s. The only thing is to bring cash, they don't take cards

If you want a more authentic German experience, this is a place to try. They serve traditional German dishes, as well as local beer. Be sure to check the opening hours and keep in mind that payment is cash only.

Nice and clean place, typical German dishes on the menu. In our case, the waiting time for simple dishes (veal schnitzel, potatoes, asparagus, sausages) was almost 50 minutes, with no other customers present (we arrived just after opening). The potatoes were undercooked and the meat was hard, so we didn't eat it all... Prices were similar to other places of this type in Berlin.

The food was good. The staff friendly, really Berlin. A menu change (e.g. fries instead of potato salad) is impossible, even though both are offered on the menu. So very inflexible. There would also have been an additional charge... In this day and age, only paying in cash is a bit strange and no longer appropriate!

Posto carinissimo, tipico senza essere kitsch; servizio impeccabile e gestori molto gentili ed efficaci. Il cibo delizioso e a prezzi contenuti. Il Goulash con gli späzle era fantastico. The hammer of the shop. Super tasty, simple food (bulettes, schnitzel, potato salad) staff with Berlin snout but friendly and the ambience a bit like my grandma's but very cozy. Absolute recommendation. Prices are acceptable for what is now a really expensive Berlin. Meatballs with potato salad 11.90 euros.

Terrible experience. Our bill was split and they charged us for two waters when we only got one. When bringing this up they refused to remove one. Then informed us that it was cash only, after website says accepts card, of course we had none and had to find a way to get some in order to pay.

We ate here for the third time and it was beautiful again. The atmosphere is so rustic, the service (Mrs. Richter) is so accommodating and friendly and the food is fantastic. I went to Berlin spontaneously as a short trip with my American partner. When we went out to eat in the evening he wanted to eat typical German dishes, so we looked for a German restaurant and came across the Berlinchen restaurant because it was close to our hotel. When we got there we were greeted very friendly and given a seat. The restaurant is very cozy and lovingly designed. You immediately feel a pleasant atmosphere. My friend chose the pork knuckle and I took the liver. We were both very enthusiastic. I haven't eaten such well-prepared liver in a long time, but my friend's knuckle of pork was also perfectly prepared. After we had eaten, we had a very nice conversation with the man who served us and that is the reason why I can only give 5 stars in all respects. The food was world class, the service was perfect and the ambience was beautiful. We are both very enthusiastic and if we are in Berlin again we will definitely come back.

During a short vacation in Berlin we had dinner at Berlinchen twice and were completely thrilled. Now I have to describe the visit in a little more detail! 1.) The ambience You come into the restaurant or rather into a cozy "living room" and immediately feel at home!!! 2. The service The boss helps out in Berlinchen and is very personable and accommodating. The food is very tasty and tastes like NUTS. P.S. to recommend Schnitzel Jägerart etc etc. On the second day, also for dinner, there was a waiter with a friendly, welcoming, nice character. Very funny and very accommodating with a typical Berlin dialect. The owner made a lucky move here when he hired this man. The place is OK, not long waiting for a table. The food is not especially great, especially when I want to change the side dish and the waiter tells me, No! in harsh way,(If you want fries they you have to order the pork schnitzel) it could not be done. Boiled potatoes for fries.I guess they need to learn to give the costumers a better service I would rather choose a different place than this place.

There are no fries with the schnitzel. According to the waiter, please get them from Burger King. It's a shame, the food is quite good. Only service and the tone is underground.

Great place to go if you want proper German food from an independent place. Food was so tasty. My advice if you are British, is to speak German, or at least attempt to. You will wait for your food, but it doesn't matter because it's worth the wait and as tourists we had no where else to be. Good beer and wine too. Highly recommended.

Two people had food poisoning for 2 days after eating pork knuckle with pea puree. We ate at Berlinchen with 6 people on January 20th, 2024. 2 people had said pork knuckle, the other 4 people had other dishes. On the night of January 21st, 2024, the two pork knuckle eaters developed nasty food poisoning (several vomiting, diarrhea, cramps). The food initially looked good, but it must also be ensured that keeping it warm etc. does not produce germs that could cause such food poisoning. We can definitely attribute it to the pork knuckle dish, as the other 4 people (who had other dishes) remained healthy. Unfortunately, we praised the restaurant too early that evening because the two pork knuckle eaters are currently still recovering from the effects of food poisoning. Ambiance and service otherwise good, but the above-mentioned shouldn't happen when visiting the restaurant. Then it's better to leave dishes that pose a risk of germs off the menu.

Das Berlinchen Restaurant überzeugt mit authentischer Küche, gemütlichem Ambiente und freundlichem Service, was ein rundum gelungenes gastronomisches Erlebnis verspricht.

É stata una scoperta. Posto tipico ma allo stesso tempo tranquillo e che rispecchiava completamente la personalità del proprietario presente in sala. Sapori semplici e buoni, ottima birra.... Unica pecca della serata, non abbiamo potuto pagare con la carta, per fortuna avevamo i contanti appresso. Quindi consiglio di chiedere il tipo di pagamento prima di sedersi..!

We were a group of 6 people. They were really fast with the drinks, but quite slow with the food. We waited more than half an hour. The wait was worth it though. The portions were but and tasty. I recommend the Specials. Have a look at the pictures. No reservation was needed.

I was desperate for some traditional German dishes and there were several on the menu of this cosy restaurant. I chose Wiener Schnitzel which was freshly made and exactly the right crispy consistency. My partner had curried sausage which was also delicious. We finished with a wonderful red fruits and crème patissiere which was a perfect finale to the meal. The price for two with generous glasses of wine was 57euros. Very reasonable for freshly cooked German specialties. High recommended this restaurant for its respect for tradition at reasonable prices!
