Berlin Pavillon am Reichstag in Berlin

Heute am Dienstag , 30.September vor dem geschlossenen Haus gestanden und erfahren, dass es abgerissen wird. Sehr schade, da es für einen Besuch im Reichstag immer erster Treffpunkt war.

Geht bloß nicht dorthin, der Service war unterirdisch. Ich fragte nach Schweineschnitzel, sie verneinten und bedienten einfach den Nächsten, ohne zu fragen, ob ich noch etwas möchte. Die Getränke sind unverschämt teuer, und die Toiletten kosten 1 €.

Gehen Sie bloß nicht dorthin! Der Kellner war unglaublich unhöflich. Er sagte uns, er hätte das, was wir bestellt hatten, nicht da, ignorierte uns dann aber sofort und ließ den Nächsten in der Schlange bedienen. Teuer, heruntergekommen und unverschämt. Die Toilettenbenutzung kostete 1 €. Ich würde nicht wieder hingehen.

Hektische Atmosphäre und mitunter hoher Geräuschpegel. Das Essen stillt den Hunger, einfach und unkompliziert! Wahrscheinlich eher eine Kantine als ein Restaurant.

Erster Eindruck war okay, allerdings waren Haare im essen und die Kommunikation zur Bestellung war nicht gut. Wir haben ein ein Hähnchenfilet bestellt was als wir es bekamen bereits mit anderen Soßen kontaminiert waren, die nicht zum Gericht gehörten. Geschirr war nicht ordentlich gereinigt Essensreste unten am Tablett unsw.

The food was good. The service could be improved. There's room for improvement here and there. In short: a great place.

The good thing is the location, as well as the opportunity to enjoy beer on the street! The schnitzel tasted like stale butter, and there are questions about the appearance, and the price!

You can get something to eat and sit down or have a drink here. Sitting on the street is quite convenient, despite the fact that it's a great place to think about how to spend the rest of your day.

I popped in 30 minutes before closing time. I was at an exhibition and couldn't eat much at lunchtime, so I finally got my Bolognese for 9.9€ just after 8:30pm. It reminded me of the nostalgic soft noodles that Japanese people from the Showa era (lol). It was a relatively reasonable price, so I guess it was unavoidable?

We didn't think it was that great. Expensive, dirty...at least outside. The food in the display unfortunately looked like it had been sitting inside for hours...dried. The fries were good. The staff seemed indifferent and annoyed. Even though you're a guest, you have to pay to use the restroom. That's completely unacceptable. Even though it was far from closing time and the weather was beautiful, and the opening hours according to the website were until 9 p.m., the seating and lounge cushions had already been collected by 6 p.m., practically pulled out from under you. Pretty expansive. In summary, not a place we would go back to. It's a shame, really, because it could be a really great location.

Toilet for 1 euro is unacceptable. They force you here because they closed the toilets in the reichstag building. The toilet makes more money than the restaurant

I just wanted to use the restroom which was at the property. I kindly asked the man at the cash register if I can buy a token to use it. He looked at me with a bitchy attitude and answered me with a cold “nein” (even though I didn’t speak German but English). I asked again and said that he can charge me twice if he wants to but again my offer was rejected and he told me to go away. How come can one behave like that to the customer? Unprofessional customer service

Nice place, we were looking for a place that was not MacDonalds nor any other burger place, and it delivered nicely. Bit pricey though, but whatever - even kids liked it.

The unfriendly man at the cashier charged me twice for products I didn't have on my tray. When I pointed this out, he became even more unfriendly. Never again. Never.

The seat cushions are worn out, and there's no free restroom despite serving alcohol. The coffee is good, and the prices are OK for the area!

The food was reasonably priced for the location. I'm taking 1* off for the lasagna, which was bland.

It features a souvenir shop, snacks, street pretzels, and a self-service restaurant with options like schnitzel, chicken, and wurst, as well as desserts and drinks. The place offers indoor and outdoor seating, ideal for its location, although the prices are higher than usual and the food—while tasty—doesn't maintain the temperature characteristic of other German restaurants. A functional option if you prioritize comfort over authenticity.

It was a long time ago, it was the first anniversary with my future wife. Was it tasty? No idea (coffee from a machine and a dry dessert). Was it beautiful? With such views - oh yes! And it was also a partial fulfillment of my father's friend's wish to "ride a motorcycle to Berlin and drink coffee on the central square." The only thing left was the motorcycle part.

We had a kavalti (water swill). There's a wide variety of drinks, including tea, coffee, and food. Prices are normal, as it's close to the parliament building. We paid 17 euros for a kavalti for two.

The food and drinks were okay. We were served quickly and friendly at the self-service counter. However, when paying, we were cheated out of €8 (charged for the wrong dish).

Ordered 3 children spaghettis - got 2 spaghettis (we thought it was for children, but it turned out, that they gave us full size). Asked for another “kinder” spaghetti and went to pay for our order. We were then asked to pay for 3 full size spaghettis - told them we asked for “kinder” spaghetti. We were then asked to pay for 2 adult and 1 kinder spaghetti- asked again to pay for what we ordered, since our kids couldn’t eat an adult spaghetti and why then pay for it. The employee at the teller then got angry and threw out ALL the spaghetti and made 3 new plates of spaghetti- this time the correct size. - the guy went to tell off the employee who served the dish - also a “nice” touch which show poor leadership. - So they blame the customer for their misunderstanding. Overall a pretty bad experience that was handled poorly. They went from 1 star to 2 stars, when the employee, who got angry didn’t want to handle us anymore and we where instead handled by a pretty nice guy who actually showed us some service. Would not recommend- walk a bit further and eat somewhere with better food and better service.

The food is so-so. It doesn't quite suit German tastes. A typical tourist spot. Accordingly, it's relatively expensive, partly due to the location. And if that's how Germany is represented... At least the restrooms are clean.

Beer is always a great option! Right next to the Tiergarten! Close to the Rachstag building. Everything is beautiful.

Very friendly staff, talked to one of them. But there were flies around the cakes, because of the summer perhaps, and the food isn't too great. Had the pasta and doesn't really stand out. It's a convenient place to eat after the Bundestag, but I won't say it's great unfortunately

When I came to Berlin and went to the area around this place, I decided to stop here and take a break from traveling around the city. I consider the restaurant very good because it offers first-class food, with great prices, as well as nice and fast service. Friendly atmosphere. Good location and nice area. I think that if you are nearby, it is worth coming here. In my opinion, the place deserves the highest rating - 5 stars. I recommend it!

I was in front of the panoramic dome, I needed a cappuccino, I enter this place and discover that it is self-service, I do everything myself, I consume and go to the cashier, bill of 3.90 euros and the cashier was not even giving me the receipt that I put in the photo as proof, I recommend always checking the prices and services before entering these tourist traps

Yesterday, on June 18, 2025, we waited in the Berlin Pavilion for the Reichstag to be illuminated in the evening. The location was fine, nothing special, but very close to the Reichstag, which was our destination. The prices, however, I find quite exorbitant. ‼️‼️ I bought a venison bratwurst with sauerkraut there for a whopping €17.90. ‼️‼️ Of course, everyone has to live, but if it had tasted good, that would have been great. I know a lot about venison bratwurst. I'm sure this was by far the most tasteless sausage I've ever eaten in my life. And then the price: ‼️‼️€17.90. ‼️‼️And actually, you can't go wrong with sauerkraut; it was definitely some of the worst sauerkraut I've ever eaten. Sorry, Berlin Pavilion, the food really wasn't tasty. ‼️‼️‼️ The staff was very friendly, but the young man who served us had a hard time speaking German. Unfortunately, he also had trouble speaking English. But his colleague came to our aid, and we were able to quickly come to an agreement. The service staff was helpful and courteous.

Great value for money for the location. Definitely not as overpriced as the other locations.

On Sunday, there was even music from Berlin DJs during the day. It was a cool day party, and we spontaneously stayed the whole day. Thanks for the wonderful day...

At the entrance it says beer 4.5. At the bar they say after 5. And finally the lady charges 6. For customers who buy food and beer the toilet is paid. Poor.

It's a tourist trap. Obviously. I came for the convenience of the location directly across from the tour I have. I found it to be pricier here. It's Self serve desserts, drinks and served hot food like chicken, schnitzel, wurst. They also sell snack foods. Has indoor and outdoor seating options and the food is tasty but not piping hot like I came to love about German Establishments.

A kind of low-end self-service restaurant. Ketchup and mayonnaise cost €0.70 per packet…. Unfortunately, as in many places, the welcome was very cold, with no smiles. I don't recommend it.

A good place to relax and eat something near the Brandenburg Gate. You can sit under the trees or indoors. Self service. We had the schnitzel, we liked it. Reasonable prices. Sometimes it gets crowded when groups come.

Berlin Pavillon felt more like a staff canteen than a proper restaurant. The food was very mediocre, and drinks were pre-poured—who knows how long they’d been sitting. Though the place was nearly empty when we arrived, a large group came in mid-meal, and staff started asking us to leave in German, which we didn’t understand. Overall, a poor and confusing experience.

Surprisingly delicious and cozy. We enjoyed it. The fries were well seasoned, and the schnitzel was delicious. My tip: definitely try the homemade crumble cake!

I came to the restaurant yesterday expecting a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it was disrupted by one of the staff — a Pakistani man in a white shirt — who began talking about war while I was dining. This kind of conversation is completely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. It’s hard to understand why someone like this would be hired to work in a customer-facing role.

Tourist rip-off bad it can hardly get any worse much too expensive

The food was a cross-section of the German canteen world, but at quite hefty prices. We were happy to do without. Service….what??? You have to pick everything up yourself, but it's really well organized inside when you pick it up. Every now and then someone comes and clears away the leftovers from the previous guests so that the table is free again. Of course, even the toilet costs money. But the prices should include disposal. By the way, it's nice to sit there in the green and the street noise is also well insulated.

Schintzel was raw, the cook was nice and admitted it and offered to make us another one, but we didn’t want to eat anything else in there. We don’t recommend this place to eat.

Three stars for the price and location. The food quality is not as good as some say, the cakes are quite mediocre, and some say the service was good? It's self-service, you only get a cashier taking your payment... Also, they complain to Google and legally make them remove the reviews saying it's defamation. Maybe they should spend that money in getting good service and better food quality, and let the customers write naturally good reviews.

The restaurant is fine for a stopover, but you shouldn't expect too much. Unfortunately, the service during our visit left something to be desired: although there were four people working behind the counter, it took a very long time, they were not organized among themselves and, despite repeated announcements, they didn't remember what I had ordered. The food selection and quality was mediocre, nothing vegetarian. Only the location is great, but you seem to rest on it. Unfortunately there is no other restaurant in the immediate vicinity.

Enjoy currywurst in the beer garden. But please not the fried potatoes, they weren't a hit. Spaghetti Bolo for the kids wasn't really our taste either. But that's all subjective. If you take the location into account, the prices are still moderate.

I hope your lawyers invest the money they spent on having reviews deleted into better food than yours

When the weather is sunny, it's a great place to enjoy a little something and have a nice time in the countryside but also very centrally. Price performance completely ok. Definitely recommend sitting outside when the weather is nice.

So you can't say anything about €9.50 for a normal portion of fries with mayo and ketchup, can you?

We were there with a small tour group and had noodles with hash. All the other groups there got this too. You can't go wrong with pasta, but calling the brown mush hash is cheeky, it tasted horrible. Several plates were returned. Repetition factor zero!

Cigar smokers are not welcome here. Although there was smoking throughout the outside area, as a cigar smoker I was sent on my way by the waitress.

I am a city guide and have always avoided the Berlin Pavilion because I assumed there would be mass crowding. I've been there a few times with customers. Yes, there is a lot going on there, but the staff are very friendly and the toilets are super clean (thanks to the gentleman who was in charge yesterday). I can't comment on the food because we only had something to drink. But I will try it soon. In short: big compliments to the Berlin Pavilion team!!!

It was a lovely restaurant with a good varied selection of food great as a tourist

We had dinner here on a school trip. Don't expect a fancy restaurant but just a good German bradwurst and schnitsel restaurant with nice people. Delicious food. I am vegetarian and had a delicious baked potato. Simple but delicious custard dessert. Just good. Next to the restaurant there is a good souvenir shop that has had a good turnover with our kids🙂. Friendly atmosphere. It was extremely busy; and that's a good sign.

Junto al Bundestag es casi la única opción para tomar algo. Está unido a una gran tienda de recuerdos. Autoservicio con bastantes opciones y precios normales en Berlin. Sólo tomamos cafés con una rica tarta de naranja.

Self-service restaurant, mostly frequented by tourists who come to visit the parliament, but there are also some locals. They have sausages, breaded meats and other things at fair prices. Important tip: At the cashier, ask for your toilet token

The canteen is averagely good. Prices not that expensive. Right next door there is a sovenir shop where you can buy something as a souvenir. The toilet was also very useful :))

It's a fast food place, to eat something quick it's fine, the food is not the best but it's not bad. The price is a bit high for the quality.

Here you simply live because of the proximity to the Bundestag, sorry. There's nothing, really nothing cozy about it, and when you enter the place the smell of old frying grease wafts around your nose. My clothes still stink... 🙊

I recently visited the Berlin Pavillon restaurant in Berlin-Mitte and was amazed by the authentic old Berlin cuisine. The atmosphere is charming and nostalgic, perfect for a culinary journey into the past. The dishes are hearty and prepared according to traditional recipes, although modern variations are also offered. The hearty dishes such as pork knuckle and beef roulade, which taste excellent, are particularly recommended. The friendly staff and central location make this restaurant an ideal place for anyone who appreciates German cuisine.
