Bergisch Burger in Leichlingen (Rhld.)

Four of us ate here (two adults and two children). The service was very friendly, the ambiance was rustic, and the food was truly delicious and homemade. The burgers were cooked to order and to perfection, perfectly seasoned, and overall very good. I highly recommend the truffle fries as a side dish (homemade fries with truffle mayo and Parmesan cheese – a feast!). The only thing I found a bit high was the price (two burgers, two fries, six onion rings, and six nuggets for €68, plus four soft drinks). Not completely over the top, but a bit pricey for the type of food. Therefore, a 0.5 star rating (or more like a 0.5 star rating). We'll definitely be back because it was truly delicious ☺️👍🏼

We stopped here on our hike along the Wupper River. They have a highchair and children's books, which we really appreciated. We had the Italian burger and the BBQ burger, along with a shared plate of fries. The service was friendly, quick, and reliable. The food arrived in no time. You can eat well here. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and a small courtyard. It's a great place to stop again and again.

I'm happy to drive the 50-minute drive there every time for the food. Highly recommended.

We went there spontaneously without a reservation. We were served quickly, and the atmosphere was quite relaxed and casual. The selection of drinks and food is optimal—not too much, not too little. The burgers are absolutely fantastic, and the fries are also perfect. The prices are perfectly reasonable, and the portions are just right. Unfortunately, the wait of almost exactly 60 minutes for two burgers was definitely too long. This really dampened our spirits, as you naturally arrive hungry. Even without a reservation, it's much quicker elsewhere. It was also a bit unpleasant that the chairs and tables outside were wobbly due to uneven ground. Seat cushions would have been more comfortable, as after an hour of waiting, your bottom starts to hurt on the hard wood. The food, however, made up for some of it, as it was truly delicious. I would give Bergisch Bürger another chance.

I've been here several times now, and it was recommended by a friend. I'm always very satisfied; the food and staff are simply amazing. I don't know of a better burger joint in the Bergisches Land region!

Once again, I can only give 5 stars. There should be more. Great burgers and, above all, the best sweet potato fries, really crispy. That's how it should be!

I would have liked to show you the delicious burger but I couldn't wait to eat it🤣. Meat was perfectly medium rare. Although there was no side salad on the menu, one was quickly created with a delicious goat cheese patty. Price was reasonable :) The cappuccino is a dream. Next year again

It's been a long time since I've eaten such a delicious, juicy burger. We had the bacon burger with a slice of cheese on top. The bacon was wonderfully crispy, not too salty. The caramelized onions are a hit, just right when it comes to sweetness :). Thank you very much, we enjoyed it!!!

100% recommended! The shop seems a bit improvised here and there and is therefore extremely charming, the burgers and fries are brilliant, the menu is not boring but not overly exotic either. Bergisch Burger is an absolute burner I can only recommend that everyone stop by there and treat themselves to one of the hottest burgers in the world. The coordination of the sauces, the meat, the size of the portions, everything was absolutely perfect! In the meantime there were 3 waitresses with us, all blessed with a great sense of humor and friendliness that couldn't be surpassed. We will definitely make the trip from France again this year to eat across the menu. To the team - you are great!

I thought we already made good burgers ourselves and that's why I initially wanted to eat at home, but I spontaneously went and was more than pleasantly surprised. It was a taste explosion, simply delicious! The onion relish in particular greatly enhanced the already very good meat patty and the fluffy bun. The vegetarian alternative was also great!

All burgers are also available in vegetarian versions without the price disadvantage of the meat-eating side or the vegetarian side. The friendly and nice interaction with people of all ages is lived out here with love. It is easy to respond to culinary wishes or changes.

Very, very tasty burgers! I recommend "The Goat" and the avocado burger. There are also different types of fries, sauces, salads and other menu items. Vegan is also possible. Unfortunately, there are no burger buns without sesame, but this can be removed if you wish (this is an OK solution if you have a mild allergy). We have already eaten there (small but nice) and ordered takeaway and are happy to recommend the shop!
