Very good steak, great sauce, fresh salad. All in all, delicious food in a beautiful beer garden with friendly service: a definite recommendation.

We occasionally stop by the Berghof Rössle and are happy to drive half an hour for the good food. Tender meat, delicious vegetarian dishes, huge portions, superb sauce (which is probably the most important thing for a Swabian) at reasonable prices. It's nice to still find such oases :-).

Old School – If you're looking for good German cuisine, large portions, and friendly hosts, this is the place for you. Homemade dishes, in good Swabian tradition, at a very reasonable price.

The roast beef with onions was excellent, and the dessert—warm chocolate cake with ice cream—was a real highlight.

The food was delicious, but the lady serving customers seemed to be working as if it were a punishment. When I asked if they had the chocolate dessert, she sighed and said we'd have to wait if we wanted it... She was visibly disappointed that we wanted to order something else. It's a shame... because the food was really delicious.

We can't rate the food or the ambiance because it never even came to that. As vacationers, we spontaneously looked for a restaurant and went there without giving it a second thought. That turned out to be a mistake. We were greeted by an elderly lady who said, "Don't you have a phone?" We then turned on our heels and left. There was no hello or friendly refusal that everything was already booked or reserved. I'm simply speechless at how unfriendly someone could be to potential guests!!!

My car brought me to this remote spot at an impossible hour. At 3:45 p.m., I was there all alone. I never would have expected to be served food at this time of night. But quite naturally, the chef fired up his stove, cooked me a perfect rump steak, and served me a delicious gravy. It seems to get busier in the evenings; some tables have already been reserved. I left again, saying, "Thank you!"

A delicious Jägerschnitzel with fine fries and a very varied (cucumbers, carrots, beans, and lettuce) homemade spaetzle – even at the late hour of 8:20 p.m., we were still served a wonderful meal. Thank you very much for that.

We dared to enter the restaurant, even though a large sign at the entrance indicated that it was open and guests were welcome. 🤣 A woman then rudely shouted at us, saying we hadn't made a reservation and were told to leave. With about 10 people in the restaurant, you're overwhelmed and are thrown out with a whining rage. The hostess was at her lowest level. 🤔

Very unfriendly, we were stunned. A woman was obviously having trouble walking from her car to the outside area. The waitress watched her and let her get to the entrance, only to then tell her she could leave immediately without a reservation. But there wasn't even a "hello." And the food was unfortunately on the same level as the service – we won't be coming back.

After a day trip, we had dinner at the Berghof Rössle. We enjoyed a truly idyllic setting in the beer garden, received courteous service, and were served excellent, home-style cooking. A pleasant conversation with the host rounded off the visit. Highly recommended....

We and our furry friends felt welcome... the finest roast beef with onions and schnitzel with pepper sauce and salad were very tasty... with a dry white wine... on the way back we visited the alpacas... which was on the way... Perfect... I would say we will come again.:: highly recommended.

A quiet restaurant with a small beer garden. The food was good and the service friendly. We had schnitzel and spinach dumplings, both homemade.

We were already quite late, hadn't made a reservation, and the chef came straight to us and said he only had pork steaks left. I wasn't really in the mood for that, as I had grilled pork steaks just the day before. We decided to go for it after all, because we also got salad, homemade spaetzle, and herb butter. Afterwards, I was embarrassed about the steak I had grilled the day before. It was by far the best pork steak of my life; all the side dishes were also great, the portions were huge, and all at a really fair price. The chef even said his real specialty was schnitzel, but they were already sold out. We'll be back!

Owner-run, rustic village inn with very good home-style cooking. As a starter we had a side salad with various salads, each of which was served with a different dressing. There was a mild yoghurt dressing on the lettuce, the carrot salad was refined with lemon and the cucumbers with dill and the beans had a simple but good vinegar and oil dressing.

Absolutely recommended! Fresh and down-to-earth cuisine, best price-performance ratio. The schnitzels are highly recommended! We would come back at any time. The potato salad was great, the fries were perfect! Drinks were the perfect temperature. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The service was very attentive! You feel good...

We love this inn, where thankfully the cooking is still traditional and only uses the best ingredients. The beer garden with natural tree shade is cozy and quiet - the interior is tastefully and visibly decorated with great attention to detail. The service is friendly and always brings all our requests to the table reliably and quickly. Many thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Blum!

Food: small menu, pork-heavy, the schnitzels were delicious, fried in the pan. Spaetzle also fits, only the sauce was a bit tasteless, I think it was a packet sauce... humane prices... Mixed salad: potato salad is missing, I would adapt that... Host: nice, everything ok Ambiance: I had hoped for more in the beer garden, but unfortunately there is no view either... Conclusion: overall, if you want to eat quickly, cheaply and like schnitzel, it is recommended, even if there are limitations (sauce, ambience). In my opinion, the restaurant is not "worth" 4.7 stars, it's okay for the price, but certainly not outstanding as the 4.7 suggests.

A very clean and modern restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. A friendly boss who is also the cook is a real original. We had a very nice conversation, which made the visit even more pleasant. The service staff seemed a bit reserved, perhaps a bit insecure, but still very friendly in their own way. Some may interpret this as unfriendly (see previous review), but I can't understand that at all! She always tried hard and was never intrusive. We would particularly like to highlight the crispy schnitzels – they were simply delicious! We come from Bad Kreuznach and are already looking forward to our next visit. Only about 3 steps to the restaurant, which was easy for me to overcome (requiring oxygen). Great value for money

Sat in the outdoor area which doesn't seem very inviting. There was no menu, only the dishes could be read on several boards at the entrance. Either I stand around and block the next guests or I forget what was there. A bit clumsy. The food came very quickly and met expectations, but the taste was not particularly good. Visually, something could also be improved.

The food was very delicious I tried the Spätzle Pfanne for the very first time in Germany and was very good. I’m not a vegetarian but options for vegetarian or vegan is very less. I was expecting chicken options in schnitzel but was unlucky.

Die Familie fand die Bedienung nicht so angenehm aber nachdem wir feststellen mussten das sie komplett alleine war und das mittagsgeschäft auch alleine meistern musste kann ICH nur sagen großen Respekt! Und Leute die Pommes sind der Hammer. Lange nicht mehr so tolle Pommes gegessen. Schnitzel war auch super und keine 0815 Panade. Macht weiter so.

Went hiking in the Monbach Gorge. Then we were hungry. We then stopped at the Berghof Rössle. The order was at the table in no time. Great roast roast. Schnitzel crispy. Good portions. Delicious side salad. Overall good value. We were satisfied and will definitely be happy to be guests again next time we visit the Monbachschlucht.

It's nice to find an inn that's open all day in the afternoon. The menu offerings are displayed on boards at the entrance to the beautiful, shady beer garden. The food is inexpensive and good. The food and drinks were also served quickly. The only thing I didn't like was the taciturn service. A little more friendliness in dealing with guests would be a good thing and, above all, it doesn't cost anything. That's why I only give it 4 stars.

The Berghof Rössle is an insider tip: It is hidden but so quiet in the already quiet Beinberg above Bad Liebenzell. We enjoyed the food. It was plentiful, imaginatively prepared and also garnished. What more could a woman want? The “Augenblickrunde” starts in Bad Liebenzell and leads directly past the Berghof.

The food is good, but because of the unfriendly waitress, I won't go there again.

We were here for lunch today. So the food was just perfect, the schnitzels were super crispy and juicy. The Zig..... (pepper) sauce is 100% homemade, no ready-made sauce, rarely eaten such a good and delicious sauce. The salad is fresh and with a delicious dressing. Price performance more than top. Very nice conversation with the operator couple. We can definitely recommend the restaurant, if you haven't visited it you're missing out. Unfortunately we can only give 5 stars because it would be much more. Thank you again.

I had the spinach dumplings. These were really, really tasty and the portion was sufficient. The classic, home-style cuisine is prepared and served here with a lot of love, you can really feel it. The ambience is also great. I can really recommend this inn.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The schnitzels come from the pan and not from the fryer. The potato salad is fresh every day. The fries are nice and crispy. Your four-legged friend is also welcome here and is allowed in. I will definitely come back.

Everything was super tasty, nothing to complain about, any time again (you can't tell from the outside) actually a secret tip.

The food was very tasty (spinach dumplings) The cappucino was great and the shandy was just the right mix - that was the feedback from the small hiking group, which today was served later and quickly despite the delay (notified in advance:). Stopped here today after geocaching and enjoyed a good little salad. Afterwards we had pork steak with fresh mushrooms and fries, it was really very good. The fries were crispy, the mushrooms were fresh and not canned, the pork steak was also well grilled and not dry. Great, when we're in the area again we'll come back

Food and drinks are brought quickly. Handwritten menus are something you rarely find anymore. There is a drinks station for dogs.
