Leider im Biergarten nur Selbstbedienung

Wir waren zu dritt und nahmen draußen im Biergarten Platz. Der Biergarten ist sehr hübsch etwas anders als die bayerischen, ohne Kastanienbäume. Das Essen muss im Biergarten selbst geholt und auch gleich bezahlt werden. Deswegen kann man zum Service nicht viel sagen. Die Bier ist top, drei Sorten vom Fass. Das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich, ist reichlich und dauerte auch nicht arg lang. Wir kommen wieder, das ist sicher.

Wir waren mal wieder seid längerer Zeit im Maisenbacher Hirsch. Die Renovierung des Biergartens ist wirklich gut gelungen. Das Essen ist nach wie vor gut. Allerdings waren wir wirklich enttäuscht, dass man jetzt nicht mehr bedient wird. Wenn wir essen gehen, möchte ich auch bedient werden. Das hat ein Kantinenflair. Zumal es in unseren Augen kein Sinn macht, die Bedienung holt das Essen aus der Küche, hat es also eh schon in der Hand, und stellt es auf den Tresen. Es dürfte doch kein Problem sein, es dann an den Tisch zu tragen. Auch überlegt man sich als Gadt, ob man dann noch einen Kaffee oder ein zweites Getränk möchte. Das hat uns schon sehr enttäuscht. Dies sollte nochmal vom Besitzer überdacht werden.

Leider nicht zu Empfehlen, das Schnitzel erinnerte an eines aus einem schlechten Rasthof. Der Service war schlecht, das Ambiente erinnert an eine Schulkantine.

Leider eine große Enttäuschung. Unser Rumpsteak (bestellt Medium) war kaum 1 cm dick, komplett durchgebraten und zäh – das erinnerte eher an ein ungeklopftes Schnitzel als an ein Steak. Zudem wurden die Beilagen vertauscht und die Spätzle sowie die Soße beim Zwiebelrostbraten waren kalt. ​Die Kellnerin war sehr bemüht, die Fehler der Küche abzufangen, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier leider gar nicht mehr: Ein Preisnachlass von 8 € ist zwar nett gemeint, aber im Endeffekt 19,50 € für Pommes mit Kräuterbutter zu zahlen (da das Fleisch ungenießbar war), ist schlichtweg dreist. Schade!

Eins der besten Schnitzel die ich jemals gegessen habe. Großes Lob an Koch und Kellner!!!

Ambiente war ok rustikal. Salat war auch ok. Pommes waren ok. Aber das Schnitzel hart nicht geklopft Panade wie aus dem Airfryer oder Backofen ohne Geschmack und lieblos trocken zum abgewöhnen, ein Tipp Butterschmalz benutzen zum Braten und das Fleisch vorher Plattieren und die Panade würzen. Die Bratensoße war fertig soße Magie oder Knorr da brauche ich nicht essen gehen.

Würde hier eingeladen zum Essen. Leider war ich nicht wirklich zufrieden. Sie Soße meiner Rolladen war eigentlich Wasser, gewürz hat auch gefehlt. Die Käsespätzle waren auch nicht der Renner. Kann ich zum Essen leider nicht Empfehlen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr angenehm – wir haben es über Google Maps gefunden. Ich koche selbst beruflich in einer Gastronomie, daher habe ich Erfahrung mit Gerichten. Das Schnitzel war sehr gut. Die Kartoffelsuppe war so lecker, dass ich schon lange keine so gute Suppe mehr gegessen habe. Was die Roulade und die Soße betrifft – ich mache selbst Rouladen und komme aus Polen, daher kenne ich mich damit gut aus. Die Roulade war leider nicht richtig gerollt, und die Soße sollte eigentlich auf der Basis der Rouladen zubereitet sein. Diese Soße war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu salzig und sauer. Als Vorspeise würde ich Brot mit Schmalz und Gurke empfehlen – das wäre wirklich super. Ich würde außerdem noch ein zusätzliches Dessert vorschlagen, zum Beispiel Pfannkuchen mit Quark und Erdbeersoße. Insgesamt war aber alles gut und das Restaurant ist wirklich ein wunderbarer Ort. Ich wundere mich sogar, dass es „nur“ 4,5 Sterne hat – meiner Meinung nach sollte es mehr haben. Viele Grüße eine Köchin 😁

Wir waren mit einem befreundeten Paar zu Gast und hatten ein rundum tolles Erlebnis. Die Küche war absolut hervorragend – sehr gute, gutbürgerliche Gerichte mit top Preis-Leistung. Die Kellnerin war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, und es war insgesamt sehr sauber (auch die Toiletten). Wir konnten gemütlich sitzen, lange plaudern und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

Everything was perfect as always!! Update from May 25, 2025: We went back for lunch today after the renovations. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Kudos to the whole team!!! Oh, and the newly designed beer garden looks fantastic – hopefully the weather will be beer garden-friendly soon 😀😎 Update January 2026: The VAT has been reduced to 7% – but the price of a schnitzel has increased by €1, from €17.50 to €18.50. What's the point? Prices are getting steeper and steeper....

The ambiance is really nice. The schnitzel was rather subpar, and the waitress preferred wiping tables instead of serving us. The cleanliness was really good, though. And I can understand that it has to be done. The spaetzle were out, which is pretty subpar when your side dishes are spaetzle, fries, or croquettes. However, I wouldn't go here again.

Yes... A truly lovely inn with a beer garden. The prices are reasonable. Last year, the sausage salad with bread cost €10.50 and with fries €13.50. This year, both options are €14.90. 🤔

Initially, the service was very friendly when ordering. Then the food was served that was undercooked. It was very dry, and the sauce that was served afterward was completely oversalted, so it had to be returned. Overall, it was inedible. No apology from the waiter who finally came after calling for a long time. And then the chef insulted me. I had to pay full price for that. Never again. Not recommended.

Nice restaurant with very friendly staff. We ate here twice. The menu is simple but tasty and reasonably priced. The same goes for the wines.

A very nice country inn with a great beer garden. The beer garden offers self-service food and drinks. There's also a play area for children. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. There's also seating inside.

It's a lovely place to sit outside. A small stream and trees. Simply beautiful. If you sit outside, you order at the counter and pick up your food. It all worked out well.

Last night we were guests and ate fried leeks the cordon bleu. The leek was fibrous and inedible when we wanted to give it back the kitchen was already closed and we were deducted 2€ 😂. This morning the most terrible diarrhea woke me up and the cordon bleu came out again. The last visit for us and we would definitely not recommend it to anyone

Price-performance is absolutely top. There are only a few of these economies left where you can call the shots.

Schnitzel was great. My wife ate the sheep's cheese. That was really a failure. Two whole cold feta cheeses, 200 g each (no sheep's cheese!). And the pickled peppers with it weren't good either. I'm sorry, but this can be done much better. For example, you could make the sheep's cheese in the oven with olive oil and garlic. Oh, and the baguette that came with it was dry too. Then it's better to add the farmer's bread with the sausage salad.

The restaurant looks great, great menu, friendly staff and it shows. On Sunday at 1 p.m. the restaurant was completely full. Unfortunately we couldn't get a seat and had to wait outside for over 1 1/2 hours for our food. This was communicated to us clearly and in a friendly manner from the start. We would have liked to come here.

You are served very late, even though people are always looking you in the eye. Food was forgotten, information only available after request. Then no food, the drinks, which were booked very late, were paid for. No apology was given when paying. NEVER AGAIN

We went home happy and full. I've been living in and around Bad Liebenzell for 30 years. It's another of the taverns where people come together, have a real roast with a real sauce and a dining room with no frills, but a lot of warmth.

The food was very good, we were in the winter garden, it's a shame that the ambience wasn't so inviting. There were all the pillows on the bench. thank you, we'll be back

If it were possible, I would like to give minus stars for this piece of meat. We were invited to a birthday party and were served by far the worst schnitzel. The breading was burnt, the schnitzel (even the breading) was dry, over-seasoned with pepper and very thin. Since other guests noticed it and didn't choose this dish, serving something like that to your guests and asking for money for it is an outrage.

Haben vergangenen Samstag noch kurzfristig einen Tisch für 3 im Biergarten bekommen. Rostbraten, Rumpsteak, Tellerschnitzel sehr lecker, frischer Salat und Alpirsbacher vom Fass. Perfekt !!!

Hier wurde ich gestern glücklich gemacht. Rumpsteak englisch.....bekommt halt echt nicht jeder Koch hin. Die Köchin hier versteht ihr Handwerk. Echt klasse. Mein Mann hatte Rumpsteak medium auch dieses war auf den Punkt. Die Beilagen nebst der Salat waren natürlich auch lecker und die Portion ausreichend. Dieses Wirtshaus kann man echt empfehlen. Auch wurden wir nett und freundlich bedient. Vielen Dank nochmals.

Ein schönes Gasthaus mit einem sehr gemütlichen Biergarten. Die Bedienung hat uns und unseren Hund sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Sowohl wir als auch unser Hund haben schnell etwas zu trinken bekommen. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können den Maisenbacher Hirsch weiter empfehlen.

Bitte unbedingt reservieren! Wir hatten nicht reserviert und das Lokal hatte mehrere Gastgruppen so dass wir nur Getränke und kein Essen bestellen konnten.
