Berggaststätte "Maltermeister Turm" in Goslar

The location is located in a 16th-century tower. Rustic menu and very friendly service. The food for a large group arrived within minutes. The view of the city of Goslar is breathtaking.

Everything was perfect and a beautiful view

I celebrated my birthday with 10 friends at the Maltermeister. I ordered food and coffee with cake. The food was à la carte and very delicious. When it was time for coffee and cake, I noticed that there were only 12 pieces of cake in the cake counter. They were distributed on plates and no longer fresh. The whole thing didn't look appetizing. When I asked if that was all there was, I was unkindly told that there was a piece for everyone. Thank you, we left immediately and enjoyed delicious cake and coffee at the Kinderbrunnen. We definitely won't be coming back.

Beautiful destination with a fantastic view. Staff very friendly & “funny” 😉 Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars for the price/performance ratio for the Mother's Day buffet. The food was very tasty, but for €36 I would have expected more 😏 It was too simple and lacked something special, sorry.

Celebrated again in 1548. As always, everything was right. Even the weather cooperated. Highly recommended. We were invited.

Lovely place with an awesome view and equally good food and drinks to pair with . We had the venison , chicken and pasta . The food was excellent and the service was great . Definitely recommended. If you hike from Goslar , this is the place to end the hike !!

The FOOD is very tasty and the portions are a decent size. You can sit in the restaurant or use the large outdoor terrace. The view is really beautiful and a must if you spend your vacation there.

We had lunch, the portions are very generous, and quite fine in taste. We found the price quite fine as well. If you eat outside in the balcony there is a good view over the city.

The food is completely ok. The view can't be better. Enough parking spaces on site. The road up was clear even in winter, a definite plus. We'll definitely come back. Our service staff were all friendly and very attentive and grateful.

Very tasty German cuisine. The highlight is, among other things, the currywurst/chips. When the weather is good, you can eat from the terrace and have a view of Goslar, over the Harz foothills and almost Braunschweig. The staff is very friendly and quick 🍀🌞⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This isn't Kaiserschmarrn, it's Kaisergrauen. Sorry, but it's a sloppy yeast dough, not even baked crispy, with whipped cream from an Aldi can and ice cream that's been frozen too deep. Oh dear. It could be made differently, tastier without yeast in the dough, well-seasoned and lightly candied with sugar in the pan, then torn apart with freshly whipped cream and, if you like, with vanilla sauce. I would have preferred it. But this isn't acceptable, yuck.

A restaurant that only benefits from the incredibly great view! Food at the level of a chip shop, cheap beer, completely wildly thrown together, ancient interior, only the ambitious staff warrant praise 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the concept is aimed at tourists who are brought in by the bus and are taken by surprise by the view. What a shame!

Today, on Boxing Day, we were there with 5 people for brunch at 1:30 p.m. The food was completely OK! But... at this time all we could do was lick the empty dessert bowls and the large spoons... Pity!!! THAT HAS NOT BEEN FILLED !!! THIS SHOULD...MUST...BE BETTER!!!

If a dish bears the name of the restaurant (here "Maltermeister plate") It's supposed to represent something. And “Platte” suggests that you should get enough of it In this case there were three small pieces of meat, a few beans and a handful of fried potatoes. It was barely a plate, let alone a platter. The taste was good, except for the fried potatoes. They looked like they were straight out of a bag and warmed up. Unfortunately, this is often the case - where the guests come for other reasons (e.g. the view) the kitchen no longer makes any effort. The Maltermeister Tower is no exception.

Currywurst was delicious, unfortunately the selection of cakes was very limited, there were only 2 types and unfortunately sold out at 3:30 p.m. I don't think 4.60 euros for a large Cola Zero is appropriate. That's better!

Coffee with vision Today I found this rustic restaurant on my hike. It is not far from the city of Goslar and is easy to find. And 😀 of course back. The employees are very friendly and open-minded. I really liked that. I decided on coffee and cake as a small snack. These were exactly the right thing for me today. But the hearty dishes are also very well received. (...satisfied faces everywhere I look...) And of course not to forget: Probably the fabulous view of Harz, Goslar and into the distance. A little bit of Ischgl in the Harz National Park. All in all, a successful mix! Thank you very much for your hospitality 🍀

A fantastic place with an extraordinary view of Goslar! Located on Rammelsberg. We were there as part of the mining history workshop and were served the traditional Tscherp meal in the old mining area. It tasted great, there was plenty of food and it was lovingly arranged. The perfect place for such a large group! Parking spaces are plentiful. Well signposted. Highly recommended!

A wonderful place to look out over Goslar and enjoy the terrace. The food is ok - currywurst is always good, baked potatoes are ok. We didn't like the cake. The service is ok. Overall, things were somehow more consistent a few years ago.

A very pretty to rustic restaurant/restaurant. The interior design invites you to take a look at the different rooms and terraces. The outdoor terrace is particularly a highlight. Located high above Goslar, there is an impressive view of the medieval city. The driveway over the narrow and z. Partly unpaved forest road is something for experienced drivers when there is oncoming traffic. The food was very good, nothing was missing. It was a buffet. The service was very committed, attentive and friendly. All in all, if the weather is nice, we would like to have coffee ☕ and cake 🥧 from the terrace and enjoy the good view of Goslar. We actually only wanted to stay in Goslar for one day, but we have to go back here tomorrow. The view is fantastic, the food is so tasty, the service is all so friendly, the price/performance ratio is absolutely fine and what we liked most: Extremely dog-friendly.. Full marks! Cheers!!!

Delicious food, especially the game. Good beer selection, friendly service and a great view. After a long hike and very hungry, we still had enough to eat.

Food was OK. Service too. The atmosphere on the terrace is simply great because from there you have a great view of Goslar and parts of the Vor-Harz. The only drawback is the very bad road to the restaurant itself.

The Maltermeister record is good. The potato soup, however, didn't taste good at all. The view from the terrace is great. Unfortunately, not all of the benches were equipped with seat cushions and there was a plague of wasps.

Really great. We sat on the terrace with a wonderful view over Goslar. The venison leg with apple red cabbage and croquettes is highly recommended. It's definitely worth the money.

The most beautiful location with the most beautiful view over Goslar. Great for hikers, or just for lunch... we've even celebrated our wonderful weddings there.

We went there today because the restaurant had been on our menu for a while. The view from outside was really nice. The selection of food was solid (especially for vegetarians). However, the cutlery drawer wasn't really clean - I would have liked it to be cleaned regularly. The price of the food is more in the medium-high price segment - which would be fine, but unfortunately you only pay for the ambience or the tourist stop. I had ordered beetroot gnocchi - but there were only 4-7 beetroot gnocchi on my plate out of maybe 25 gnocchi. The rest were normal. But here too, some of the gnocchi were very dry - so they were ready-made gnocchi that had to be softened, which they didn't manage to do. For just under €15, I just don't think that's right, especially since the portion wasn't exactly large, which could have made up for it. My partner had pasta in garlic oil, and unfortunately the pasta neither smelled nor tasted like garlic. The service was nice, yes, but that doesn't do me any good if the work is bad. After all, I don't want to become friends with them. When we asked for an ashtray, we were kindly told that it would be there shortly. Well, we're home now and still waiting for it... ... but we would have waited just as long for the bill if we hadn't gone in after 40(!) minutes and asked for it. There was no apology, but a clumsy reply with “57”. But I also find the selection of drinks very outdated and not rosy. For example, shandy is not on the menu and there are no cocktails at all. But the toilets were very clean! I wouldn't judge the whole thing so harshly if the prices weren't above the average establishment, because unfortunately it's nothing else.

We really enjoy coming to the master painter. As a couple, with friends and family. Also a great location for family celebrations. Great service. The legendary Currywurst is the best in Goslar.

Very cool location, slightly rustic. Lots of service and attentive staff, even if it's sometimes difficult, they should smile a little more. All in all, the food was very good.
