The food was truly delicious, and the service was very attentive. We were hiking with friends and had chosen the Maltermeister as our destination. We all agreed it was a great idea.

The highest point in Goslar! Delicious food. A somewhat staid atmosphere. A popular restaurant. Coffee and cake. GREAT OUTDOOR TERRACE! With a fantastic view. Parking right outside.

Yes, absolutely! Beautiful atmosphere, stunning view (and distant view) of Goslar and the surrounding area. Highly recommended! Easy access, road a bit bumpy at times. An absolute highlight of a trip!!!

The view, service, and food were excellent. We frequently asked if everything was OK or if there was anything missing. For that alone, it gets a 5-star rating for service. We'd be happy to come back...

Will soon be taken over again by the greedy Alexander Scharf, where the menu again leaves much to be desired. Like in his other restaurants, Tims and the Schiefer Coffee Shop, etc., and he charges exorbitant prices for food and drinks.

I've been eating there at least once a year for years. After being dissatisfied several times, I went there this time for my 50th class reunion. We had a grill with sausages, meat, and poultry, as well as salads and hot dog buns. The service is okay, but the salads took some getting used to! Due to the salads and buns, only 3 *🤷‍♂️❗️

A wonderful restaurant with a great view. The food was delicious and the portions were very large and the price was good. They also offer to pack up leftovers to take home. And the service was simply wonderful. Everyone was super friendly and very attentive. Ultimately, the restaurant is also great, especially if you sit outside on the lovely terrace with your dogs.

A sooooo great view, really friendly service staff, the meals my companions said were very good, unfortunately my tofu steak was a complete failure (potatoes were lukewarm, Mediterranean vegetables were good and the tofu steak, three pieces of tofu, only briefly saw the pan and tasted of nothing. I've had much better vegetarian steak alternatives from discount stores! What a shame.) Based on what my fellow guests said, I'm still giving the food 3 stars.

Ein sehr hilfsbereiter, freundlicher und kompetenter Chef mit einem gut geschulten Team, gute Küche mit schmackhaften Speisen, liebevolle Dekoration - und das Ganze in traumhafter Umgebung hoch über Goslar mit fantastischem Ausblick auf die Weltkulturerbe-Stadt - hier lässt es sich wunderbar feiern.

We hiked up from Goslar and thought we'd time it for lunch as it said on Google maps that they open at 12. But it turned out they open at 1pm once we got there. It was also a shame that they had blocked off the whole place so we couldn't enjoy the view and wait until they opened.

Very friendly and pleasant staff. They take time for a chat. The food is very good and plentiful. The price/performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. Special requests are fulfilled at no extra charge.

Great place! You won't get a better view of Goslar for an evening meal than you do here. The food is good without being outstanding, the prices very reasonable. There were six of us eating and drinking for about 1400 kr, and we chose some pretty expensive items on the menu.

A very good restaurant with generous portions and delicious food. It also offers a beautiful view of the city. Dogs are also welcome.

The food was mediocre and very expensive. The side salad, however, was fresh and tasty, and beautifully presented. The drinks and food were served promptly. The server who took our order was annoyed and unwilling to answer our questions about the food. Payment didn't work outside, which wouldn't have been a problem in principle, but this server was also annoyed, cursing in front of us guests and becoming rude to us, even though it wasn't our fault. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of Goslar!

We were there for lunch on Whitsun Sunday. None of us enjoyed the food at all; the beef roulade and the venison shanks weren't tender at all. The red cabbage and croquettes weren't tasty either. The staff were very friendly and the view was excellent. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.

Perfect location for a coffee, lunch, or even dinner (but check opening hours). We once drove here at sunset. It was easy to get there and there were plenty of parking spaces. Then we walked up from Rammelsberg and had a late lunch – instead of a Wiener Schnitzel, I was given a chicken schnitzel, which was immediately swapped for a Wiener without any problems. The food was good, and the view, in good weather and with a good spot, was naturally fantastic, just to add to the meal. I would always come outside of peak hours, as I think it gets very crowded here quickly.

I celebrated my birthday with 10 friends at the Maltermeister. I ordered food and coffee with cake. The food was à la carte and very delicious. When it was time for coffee and cake, I noticed that there were only 12 pieces of cake in the cake counter. They were distributed on plates and no longer fresh. The whole thing didn't look appetizing. When I asked if that was all there was, I was unkindly told that there was a piece for everyone. Thank you, we left immediately and enjoyed delicious cake and coffee at the Kinderbrunnen. We definitely won't be coming back.

The location is located in a 16th-century tower. Rustic menu and very friendly service. The food for a large group arrived within minutes. The view of the city of Goslar is breathtaking.

Celebrated again in 1548. As always, everything was right. Even the weather cooperated. Highly recommended. We were invited.

The FOOD is very tasty and the portions are a decent size. You can sit in the restaurant or use the large outdoor terrace. The view is really beautiful and a must if you spend your vacation there.

We had lunch, the portions are very generous, and quite fine in taste. We found the price quite fine as well. If you eat outside in the balcony there is a good view over the city.

Very tasty German cuisine. The highlight is, among other things, the currywurst/chips. When the weather is good, you can eat from the terrace and have a view of Goslar, over the Harz foothills and almost Braunschweig. The staff is very friendly and quick 🍀🌞⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This isn't Kaiserschmarrn, it's Kaisergrauen. Sorry, but it's a sloppy yeast dough, not even baked crispy, with whipped cream from an Aldi can and ice cream that's been frozen too deep. Oh dear. It could be made differently, tastier without yeast in the dough, well-seasoned and lightly candied with sugar in the pan, then torn apart with freshly whipped cream and, if you like, with vanilla sauce. I would have preferred it. But this isn't acceptable, yuck.

A restaurant that only benefits from the incredibly great view! Food at the level of a chip shop, cheap beer, completely wildly thrown together, ancient interior, only the ambitious staff warrant praise 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the concept is aimed at tourists who are brought in by the bus and are taken by surprise by the view. What a shame!

Today, on Boxing Day, we were there with 5 people for brunch at 1:30 p.m. The food was completely OK! But... at this time all we could do was lick the empty dessert bowls and the large spoons... Pity!!! THAT HAS NOT BEEN FILLED !!! THIS SHOULD...MUST...BE BETTER!!!

If a dish bears the name of the restaurant (here "Maltermeister plate") It's supposed to represent something. And “Platte” suggests that you should get enough of it In this case there were three small pieces of meat, a few beans and a handful of fried potatoes. It was barely a plate, let alone a platter. The taste was good, except for the fried potatoes. They looked like they were straight out of a bag and warmed up. Unfortunately, this is often the case - where the guests come for other reasons (e.g. the view) the kitchen no longer makes any effort. The Maltermeister Tower is no exception.

Coffee with vision Today I found this rustic restaurant on my hike. It is not far from the city of Goslar and is easy to find. And 😀 of course back. The employees are very friendly and open-minded. I really liked that. I decided on coffee and cake as a small snack. These were exactly the right thing for me today. But the hearty dishes are also very well received. (...satisfied faces everywhere I look...) And of course not to forget: Probably the fabulous view of Harz, Goslar and into the distance. A little bit of Ischgl in the Harz National Park. All in all, a successful mix! Thank you very much for your hospitality 🍀
