My visits so far have been consistently positive. Unfortunately closed in the meantime.

Very good restaurant if you want to enjoy Bavarian cuisine. And of all places in downtown Dortmund. My knuckle was very well prepared. The freshly tapped light beer is also recommended. The service worked flawlessly and the cellar provided friendly and competent answers to all questions about the dishes available in the inn. For me it was a nice experience to eat there. You should improve the ambience a little bit. When it's full there is a relatively high noise level. I can recommend the Benedictine Wirtshaus to everyone.

Thank you for the great food and the very attentive service. We didn't make a reservation, but we had a lot of extra requests because we ordered a dish from different components of the menu. I also ate such a delicious Schäufele...

Mega tasty and the lunch portions were perfect. The service was quick too. Unfortunately it was very loud that day because of the stage setup.

I once tried the burger with pickled onions and alpine cheese. To my surprise, it was really good. The fries were perfect and the beer was delicious. Super friendly staff. I'll be back.

Very friendly staff, great food - worth the price

The service here is great! Every detail was taken care of and every wish was fulfilled. The food was delicious, the Kaiserschmarrn was better than grandpa's, and that's saying something! I would like to give more than five stars!

Es lag dort jedoch keine Reservierung vor, obwohl früh gebucht und auch einen Tag vorher die E-Mail von euch OpenTable bestätigt wurde. Es scheint, als sei hier der Support gefragt, da sonst die Gasthäuser das Nachsehen haben. @ OpenTable: bitte prüft und bessert ggf. nach! Beste Grüße Jochen

If you like something hearty, this is the right place for you! Very tasty and good portions, you quickly establish a good rapport with the staff, who are happy to take some time for their guests. The food and the staff take you to an imaginary place in southern Germany. An all-round successful concept that has impressed us many times. We would love to come back!

It is an original and clean place. It is decorated like a typical German tavern. It's very pretty. The food is more than delicious. We ordered a board for two people of vegetables and cheese...spectacular and giant. For dessert, the famous applestrudel was finger-licking good. The beer was also very tasty, we tried some on tap with and without alcohol. The Benedik White had a lot of flavor and was very rich.

So we were there twice this week and in both cases we were put down quite rudely twice by the innkeeper/service manager.. in the service area you shouldn't do that and have a relaxed manner and not stand for "clear conditions".. I was for 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. reserved by phone but it was written down as 5 p.m. Since it was quite empty inside and we then jokingly said "we're there a little earlier (4:15 p.m.) but it's not that crowded shouldn't be a problem" the answer was "I didn't say it wasn't possible" in a tone that wasn't appropriate. To smooth things over, we said it was fun. But that too was dismissed in a rather unfriendly tone with “I am in favor of clear conditions”. That was the last visit for us, even though the food and the waiters were good. It's a shame when managers ruin things like that...

There are restaurants that I visit regularly, like this one. The service staff is always very committed and courteous. The dishes are very tasty and hearty. The portions are very generous so everyone gets full. The price is absolutely reasonable for what is on offer.

The food is great, the waiters were probably already tired. Empty glasses are a no go. But after a short notice everything was sorted out. What's wrong is the acoustic sound system. First boom boom music and then too loud. You can hardly have a conversation. It doesn't have to be Bavarian tuba music, but it doesn't have to be something like that either.

The staff are great. The boss should think about how he talks to the guests in stressful situations. Otherwise great place. It's a shame that the cushions always disappear from the chairs.

They gave us completly diffrent recepit on higher amount. When we had complains they kick us from the bar. Very unfrendly manager. Be carefull!!!

The restaurant looked good at first glance, the food was even good, but the service is Turkish women who, when paying the bill, always print 2 receipts, one with an inflated price of 5 euros, and when you then give them your IDs and statements, they pretend that everything is fine and show you the second receipt.

Tried my first European schnitzel here at the request of some local friends. Which was good. One of the others in my party ordered the Haxe Mit Kraut and it was the best plate at the table of 4. Would recommend that above all else! Don’t make my mistake!

Made it to the Italian next door and the pizza was as good as in Napoli. After 22! Crazy! Shocking scenes!

Yesterday the two of us watched the CL Bayern Arsenal there. It was relatively empty. Qir had a table with a good view of the television. The service, 3 different employees, were all very friendly, nice and always available for a funny saying. The food, 2 main courses, wasn't cheap, but really tasty. The dessert, Kaiserschmarren, was delicious. However, my criticisms would be that the seating could be a bit more comfortable and cozy and slightly larger portions for the prices would also be desirable. Nevertheless, it was a successful evening in a nice atmosphere and we will definitely come back.

We became curious when we happened to walk by and were really excited. The food was great and the service was super friendly, perfect. We actually wanted to come back the next day. But our stay was too short and the curiosity for further experiences was too great. But we are very happy to recommend this restaurant and if we are in Dortmund again, we would like to come by again.

It's a shame, but the owner is trying too hard for my money. Cheese spaetzle 20 euros, pork schnitzel 22 euros (not veal). I won't visit the restaurant again. Prices too high. Service and ambience impeccable. But if I have a schnitzel, I don't want to buy the whole place. At the Schanze I can get a schnitzel for less than 15 euros.

Our table was only served after about 40 minutes after repeated requests. We waited so long for drinks. Total chaos. We also still had the leftovers/empty glasses from our predecessors. You could tell at any time that you weren't welcome. The inn should look for new staff as quickly as possible, people who have fun and enjoy serving their guests. We ate relatively quickly and paid immediately before no one showed up again. When we paid, the waiter told us not to shut up because he had to concentrate. He had an inhumane and arrogant manner about him. We will never come here again! Terrible shop.

Unfortunately a very bad experience on February 15, 2024 around 7 p.m. The company had ordered a table and we were the last to arrive. As soon as we sat down, the waiter told us that someone hadn't paid and that this would be charged to us. That was before the table was cleared or we could order. Clearing and ordering was only possible after asking several times and waiting 30 minutes. The service didn't get any better, it was rude and completely overwhelmed. My veggie burger was a taste-free piece of kohlrabi or cabbage. Unfortunately never again!

If there are more than 10 people there it will obviously be difficult because the restaurant has an extremely outdated billing system. Despite repeated requests, our table was not billed for more than 30 minutes. There are plenty of other pubs where you can get overpriced beer and not be treated unkindly. Overall 1 star, because even the best ambience is of no use if you are attacked.

There were four of us there. The food wasn't that good for this price/performance ratio. With the Geschnetzeltes with Spätzle you could count the pieces of meat on one hand, with the Knöpfli you had to look for the mushrooms. Es war alles wunderbar. Leider ziehen die Dunstschwaden aus der Küche durch das gesamte Lokal. Man würde meinen, die Raumlufttechnik wäre nicht eingeschaltet.

Das Essen ist lecker, aber sehr teuer. Für eine große Bratwurst mit Wirtshauspommes mussten wir fast 13 Euro zahlen. Senf kam noch mit 1.50 Euro extra dazu. Das ist Abzocke - sorry. Meine Knöpfle mit Käse überbacken und Röstzwiebeln lagen bei knapp 20 Euro. Wir würden gern wieder hingehen, aber bei den Preisen werden wir uns das 3x überlegen.

After the main course you usually don't see any waiters anymore. Another negative point is that they don't accept change requests on weekends. Not even the insert can be replaced. Nevertheless, the food is very tasty and high quality.

I found the food really tasty and the service great. However, no one at our table left any leftovers and a few men were still hungry. One burger won't fill you up, so order some side dishes! It's significantly more expensive than in the pictures here (I knew that, but apparently a few of the group didn't). So I find the pictures really misleading. So value for money isn't that great if you don't necessarily feel full. We waited forever for the food, but it was game day and the restaurant was full...

Super leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Personal und tolles Ambiente, was will man mehr. In der Mittagszeit von 12 bis 15 Uhr, gibt es eine Mittags Karte, zu vergünstigten Preisen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden wieder kommen.

0-8-15 Restaurant. Wer schon einmal in einem typischen, süddeutschen Wirtshaus gegessen hat, der wird hier mächtig enttäuscht wieder raus gehen. Ich würde das Essen eher mit bayerischen Fastfood umschreiben wollen ...

Hier kann man sehr gute bayrische Wirtshausküche genießen, jedes Gericht was wir bis jetzt probiert haben schmeckte uns richtig und es gab eine Menge auf den Teller. Dazu top Service. Immer gerne wieder!

Das Wirtshaus hat eine tolle Auswahl an bayrischen Speisen. Geschmacklich war das Essen sehr gut. Auch der Kaiserschmarrn als Nachtisch wurde frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Aber einen Nachteil gab es für uns. Wir saßen direkt unterhalb der offenen Küche und wenn zum Beispiel Zwiebeln oder ähnliches angebraten wurden haben wir es am Tisch sofort wahrgenommen, da unsere Augen angefangen haben zu brennen.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 9 Leuten heute hier. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und die Portionen sind auch von der Größe super! Der Service bekommt einen Stern, da es angefangen mit dem Getränken schon lange gedauert hat, auf das Essen haben wir ohne Hinweis über eine Stunde gewartet und dann kam das Essen auch nicht zusammen!

Alles zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 20 Personen. Die Gerichte waren auf den Punkt zubereitet und wurden fast zeitgleich serviert. Der Service war top und super aufmerksam.
