We unexpectedly found this place, ate Olivier salad, mashed potatoes with cutlets, borscht, everything was very tasty, just like at home.

I can’t recommend this place enough!! One of the best Eastern European meals I’ve had outside of my home country. The food (we had borsch, goulash-style pork with mashed potatoes and honey-cake, medovik) was delicious and tasted like home. The best part of the whole experience is that they prepare different dishes every day, which makes it feel like home where you don’t just eat traditional recipes but also a variety of meals cooked in Eastern European style. Even my boyfriend, who isn’t too familiar with or accustomed to this type of food, enjoyed everything. We only wish we lived in Berlin… but we’ll definitely come back for another delicious lunch as soon as we’re back in the city!

Wonderful homemade pelmeni with sour cream and the best cucumber salad; the daily specials are always delicious and plentiful, even cooked by Lydia herself. For those in the know: check out the dessert display! Snack-style atmosphere, perfect for a lunch break with colleagues!

The best restaurant in Berlin by far! Don’t waste your time and money in finding spots in berlin. I would eat here 3 times a day if i could. The food is made by the people who run the small restaurant Kiosk style. Its like a secret spot where you get the best food of your grandma kitchen! Wowow

I've been eating lunch with Lydia and her family regularly for years. I often take something to go for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy, the Georgian food is lovingly prepared and tastes as good as home-cooked. The menu changes regularly, so there's always something new to try alongside the familiar. The traditional salads are especially delicious, but everything else tastes wonderful too. It's great that this place exists in Berlin!

This was the most delicious Russian food I've ever eaten (except at my mother-in-law's). Lydia is very friendly and welcoming; she offers recommendations, gives advice, and does everything with heart. The food is simple and authentic. No frills. An absolute recommendation when in Berlin.

The waitress wasn't very friendly and they practically kicked us out of the place because they close at 6 PM. We only ordered coffee and some sweets that weren't that great.

Brilliant hidden Gem in the heart of Berlin. Upon entrance, you feel like you're entering your neighbours house: greeted with a large array of German, Polish, and Russian homely dishes. The lady behind the counter was very kind to us. She does not speak English at all, but our bare-bones German and suggestive pointing were more than sufficient communication. The prices are great: snacks and salad can be bought for cheap, and the larger dishes are full plates of comfort food against very affordable prices. The food we had was very tasty, and we more than enjoyed our stay!

First time trying borscht, was yummy and felt home cooked meals. The lady running the spot was very friendly, she gave my friends and I chocolate too :) will definitely return to try more things on this menu.

It's a real delicious homemade fresh meal! We've been there several times. And I like that the owners are always there and take part and make sure things are going well. They are always very friendly and the food is fresh. There is a large selection, everyone can find something tasty for themselves here. The portions are good and the prices are moderate, with good quality. Highly recommended!

Good little place. Has many options to choose from, traditional eastern european dishes, salads etc. Prices are decent for the area I think and the ladies who work there are friendly and nice. I had a mix of different salads that was priced by weight.

There are many delicious Russian specialties here, such as plov. The prices are fair and the food is freshly made. Highly recommended for your lunch break. There are drinks, including the Russian lemonade kvass. You can eat inside or have your food packed.

This place makes me wish my office was closer so I could hear every day for lunch. The environment is super casual but cozy and reminds me a bit of a deli where you can choose from a number of pre cooked items. Without a doubt, they serve the best eastern European food I’ve ever had. Also keep an eye out for their Plov Thursdays.

The two ladies behind the counter don't speak basic english but we can get by body's language. Just point what you want to eat. Sure enough food was delicious

I’m visiting Berlin for the first time and wanted food near my hotel and walked here. The woman at the counter was soooo sweet even though she knew no English and I spoke no German. She was helpful and patient and gave me many options. I got kohlruladen, potato frites, and a Russian salad (I think it was a potato salad oops too many potatoes). It was fire 🔥🔥🔥thank you sweet lady who helped me!!💕

The place definitely has the charm it'd have in Russia, it's simple, honest. Can only recommend, I'll be back for the best Russian food outside of Charlottenburg😉!

100% Authentisch. Alle meine Erwartungen an ein Russisches Bistro werden erfüllt. Hier wird hie Hausmannskost immer selber gemacht nach allen Regeln der osteuropäischen Küche. Preislich unheimlich günstig, das hängt dann wohl mit der sehr eingeschränkten Auswahl zusammen. 2-3 Suppen, 2-3 Hauptgerichte, eine Reihe an Salaten und gefüllten Teigtaschen. Nicht mehr nicht weniger. Die Getränke- und Eis-Auswahl entspricht einem typisch russischen Späti, Perfekt! Für 16€ habe ich ein Getränk, eine Suppe, ein Hauptgericht und zwei kleine Salate bekommen. Wer mit dieser Erwartung her kommt, wird zufrieden gestellt, gesättigt und glücklich.

Superleckeres Osteuropäisches Essen wie Borschtsch, Pelmeni, Warenki, Gulasch, Soljanka, Bauernfrühstück, große Auswahl an Salaten, frisch serviert von Lydia und ihrer Crew. Preiswert, frisch, schnell, gut.

Bei Lydia gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an original russischer (und auch deutscher) Hausmannskost! Es schmeckt genau so herzhaft, wie man sich das von einem Besuch bei einer herzlichen russischen Mama vorstellt - eine klare Empfehlung von mir! (Übrigens ist die russische Küche zwar nicht weitläufig als vegetarisch bekannt, aber es gibt so einige Gerichte ohne Fleisch, und die hat Lydia erfreulicherweise ebenfalls stets im Sortiment. Beispielsweise den abgebildeten Rote-Bete-Salat, der streng genommen sogar vegan und einfach köstlich ist !!!)

Ein russischer Imbiss mit echt russischen Spezialitäten, Essen und Getränken im Angebot. Das Essen ist sehr gut schmeckend, zur Suppe kann eine Scheibe Brot dazu genommen werden. Es wird jeden frisch gekochtes Essen serviert, was diesen Imbiss sehr auszeichnet ist auch die natürliche Würze des Essens, Maggiwürzmittel und Fertigwürzmittel werden hier nicht verwendet. Eine Oase für Allergiker, die die Hefe usw. nicht vertragen. Das Essen wird sofort ausgegeben.

Leckere russische Küche. Teilweise auch georgisch und Usbekische.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Inhaber. Wer in der Nähe ist, dieser Laden ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert! Es gibt nichts, was ich nicht empfehlen kann. Unbedingt die Salate probieren!

Schon immer und nach wie vor ein großartiger Laden. Ich gehe immer hin, wenn ich irgendwie in der Nähe bin. Die Auswahl ist wirklich ausgezeichnet und die Klassiker sind es auch.

Ein guter Imbiss mit russischer Küche, auch die Mitarbeiter sprechen Russisch, aber natürlich auch Deutsch. Man wählt die Speisen nach Art der russischen Kantinen (Stolowaja), stellt sich also zum Mittagessen Fleisch und Beilagen einzeln zusammen. Im Angebot sind auch Kuchen und Süßspeisen. Allzu viele Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es nicht, aber meist findet man noch einen Platz. Es ist eben weder Restaurant, noch Café, man geht hier also nicht hin, um längere Zeit gemütlich zu sitzen.

Usually Russian things make me want to run a mile, but this place is decent for lunch. Good value.
