A lovely ambiance, and the waiters were really friendly. But we sat upstairs, and the seating was so cramped that the prices are a bit too high. I always find it unfortunate when a large family is seated next to a couple. Apart from that, I highly recommend it.

We came to Bremen from Düsseldorf for a weekend. It’s our first time here. We were surprised with nice service, helpful waiters and regional food. I advise you to take Bremen teller, in case you are not familiar with local cuisine. It is unusual but worth to try.

We'd barely sat down when dinner arrived. It was exceptionally quick. The food looked reheated and not homemade. We won't be going there again.

We're currently sitting here in the restaurant and have been enjoying some "coastal fare." My order for fish without salt or breading was taken as a matter of course. They even served an extra sauce. It tasted delicious. Many thanks to the chef and the friendly service staff.

Very charming restaurant in the heart of the historic Schnoor district. We spent our first evening in Bremen here and couldn't have made a better choice. We had two very tasty fish plates, the service was very warm and courteous and the atmosphere was rustic. We can warmly recommend it.

We wanted to stop here for a drink with three people on a quiet Friday afternoon. Although there were free seats and there was less going on, we were asked immediately after entering whether we had reserved - the second question was whether we wanted to eat something. When we said that we "just" wanted something to drink, we were told that there was nothing left and that we had to leave again. Thank you - hospitality looks different to me.

The restaurant was simply great – both culinary and atmospheric. The central location is ideal, and both food and drinks left nothing to be desired. There were six of us, everyone ordered something different - and without exception, everyone was thrilled with the quality of the taste. I can't understand why the restaurant has such a good rating. We ate there yesterday and were just disappointed. The portions are far too small, the fried potatoes are very soggy and tasteless, and the quality of the fish is not great either. My meat was just dry and the frozen croquettes could have been saved. For a restaurant in this location you would expect a little more. Unfortunately a total failure. However, I would like to say positively that the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ambience really quite good, the rest LaLa. Service rather slow. Food not great at all, at least the schnitzel. Very hard, a bit burnt. Vegetables only frozen, I can also do it at home... I don't have to go to the restaurant for that... In the end the waiter doesn't even ask if it was tasty. It was ok in itself, but we won't be coming back... There are much better and only better...

I was a bit put off by the large menu, but went in because fresh asparagus was on display. It was very tasty, just a bit very firm. The service was friendly. I was happy that a wine from Franconia was on the menu :-)

The ambience is rustic and cozy, it was a bit stuffy on the upper floor when we visited, a window was opened briefly when we asked. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. The food was okay, my schnitzel was a bit small and probably fried. Everything happened quite quickly, so the quality was rather average, but the taste was completely okay. Certainly not a tourist rip-off.

The two of us were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. Luckily it wasn't a problem getting a table at the time. A short time later, however, the restaurant filled up. We had a delicious meal here. The Bremen plate with Labskaus and Knipp is recommended if you want to try classic North German dishes. The service was friendly and the food came to the table very quickly. The rustic ambience of the restaurant completed our visit. If we come to Bremen again, we would like to come back here.

The fish had taken a small hit, but on the second attempt it was wonderfully hot. Excellent service, rustic location. The fish was tender and juicy with a crispy crust and the bacon bits left a lasting tasty impression.

A real insider tip. We arrived at around 2 p.m. without a reservation, were warmly welcomed and seated at a large table (there were five of us). The service was very accommodating and polite. The food was also great, the lunch menu is highly recommended, the prices are really great. If I'm in Bremen again I'll come back!

I am writing for April 2025. A place where you can eat traditional German food, with a warm atmosphere and friendly and helpful waiters. We liked it enough to go for two days. Since we do not consume pork, we could not taste all the traditional dishes. But the chicken schnitzel, turkey schnitzel, Captain's Plate and Flounder Fillet that we had the chance to taste were very successful. We just couldn't eat the plate where they served the Herring raw and cold (there is also one in the Captain's plate) with hot beans. For dessert, there are simple but very successful desserts made with vanilla ice cream - cream and hot raspberry (or cherry version) marmalade on top. Prices are reasonable; main courses between 17 Euros and 32 Euros. You cannot come by car, the street is only open to pedestrian traffic. If you are in the area, this is a restaurant to try.

Great little restaurant I had the potato soup and it was delicious! Our son had thr French fries and they were perfectly crispy!

Food was good The schnitzel had too much pepper on one side and none at all on the other. The waiter who welcomed us was very polite and accommodating as one of us had many allergies. The other waiter (maybe shop owner), who was a bit older, was very rude. The nice waiter wanted to sit us at a table, the other one said something in another language and we were seated at the other end in the last corner of the restaurant. As if we were scum because of the allergies.

The food was very bland and tasteless. The gravy had nothing to do with taste and had probably never seen a bone. It tasted more like a powder sauce... the roast was just as tasteless... the salad was OK. But when you see a quarter of a tomato lying in your salad, you also notice the lack of love. The service at least halved the price of my roast pork, which is why they get 4 stars... Conclusion: Maybe good enough for beer.

What do you expect when you arrive? Old-fashioned, classic, simple food and the same service. What do you get? Exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less. A word of warning though...leave out the Irish coffee. Definitely the worst we've ever had.

The first impression was very good. A typical, rustic Bremen restaurant. The service staff was very friendly. The smell in the guest room was quite musty and slightly unpleasant. Unfortunately, this was also transferred to the food, which in the end was a complete disappointment: the shrimp cocktail tasted like “nothing,” the Bremen wedding soup tasted even more musty than it smelled in the dining room, the panfish sauce tasted like a ready-made meal, and the fried potatoes were simple just greasy and not a bit crunchy. The evening was a big disappointment for us!

We were here for schnitzel 3 weeks ago. The service was friendly, attentive and on point. The food, however, was very bland. Unfortunately the small side salad was the best. The fried potatoes were hardly fried at all and spices were completely missing, the breading of the schnitzel, the side that was on the plate, tasted like something indefinable to me - it was definitely not fat as can often happen - I guess It was on the plate (dishwashing liquid or something similar). My companions didn't have this. But the schnitzel also lacked seasoning, as did the fried eggs. Not a pinch of salt to it. Unfortunately, the fried onions on the schnitzel were not fresh fried onions, but the ones you would find on a hot dog. The prices were already very high; elsewhere you can get much better performance for less money. The ambience was okay, the table (in the upper area) where we were seated was very narrow for 4 people. All in all it was very disappointing for a store that is so well known.

We would have liked to eat there. When I kindly asked for a table for two people now or would like to make a reservation for later, I was met with a very unfriendly, arrogant "Is everything full!" replied. This restaurant is no longer an option for us. Too bad...

We were there with a registered group of 17 people. The order went quite well, only one meal was served incorrectly afterwards. I would like to have dessert. When I asked after about 15 minutes where it was, the waitress became snippy. After a while the waitress arrived and told me that he had canceled my dessert because it took about 15 minutes and there were so many other guests there. Okay then not. We all paid by card and the waitress was completely overwhelmed. At times he became very unfriendly. Service is something different for me. Oh well, my meal was quite good.

This was our second time here just to have a drink. Therefore the rating refers exclusively to that. Ambiance is great and the selection of drinks is also okay. I don't know why, among other things, Löwenbräu from Munich has to be offered in Bremen. The only thing that was negative for us was the service. During both visits they didn't seem hospitable and cold. You are taken to the bar to drink.

I can 100% recommend the restaurant here. The food is delicious and very well prepared. The ambience is another plus point: Stylish, cozy and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the staff. There were 10 of us, 2 incorrectly written meals were served, 2 times the duck was not crispy, soft skin, sauce had no taste, unfortunately the majority of the food was bland.

We went there for dinner with a small group. The restaurant is worth a visit. Very rustic furnishings, a long counter and several small seating nooks. The food was delicious and the service was funny and attentive. We felt very comfortable. Thank you! Nothing works here without a reservation!

There are a lot of people wherever you go during lunch, so go to the place where there are seats. I haven’t tried much German food, but I'm not sure if it's particularly delicious. But it wasn't that salty Looking at the tables around us, most of them didn't eat like ours and most of them just ordered beer and ate light food, so I guess it's not a good restaurant.
