The Pig"s taste like leftover. The staffs were rude, seems didn't like people don't speak German. Took out l our dish very quickly even there were lots of meat remained.

Quality of food perfect staff are fast and good service

We tried German specialties and really enjoyed them. We went to this restaurant three times during our four-day stay. The grilled pork knuckle is wonderful. The potato salad is also very good. The beer is ice cold, the service is good, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The service is also very good, very polite, and they make you feel comfortable sharing dishes.

Worst grilled knuckle ever. That was a knuckle of pork that had been briefly browned in the oven. Soggy and bland. A knuckle MUST be crispy. Just a brown knuckle of pork, nothing more. The service was also lackluster and had no understanding of what a knuckle is. Maybe you could sell that to tourists who don't know German food. These were euruvision zero points.

Original Berlin currywurst in a Bavarian restaurant? We specifically asked for the original Berlin currywurst. We were served deep-fried bockwurst with ketchup. When we asked, they simply said it was Berlin's original currywurst. We ate an overpriced gas station bockwurst. So, not much originality here at a steep price.

Even the fries were good, the only thing I didn't like about them was that they had some tomato seasoning. But overall they were good

Few Bavarian dishes, waitress seemed listless, no real currywurst. What a shame.

We were told to pick a table. It was several minutes before someone brought us a menu. Then no one came back to take our order. We left after sitting there for almost 20 minutes. In the time we sat there waiting, other members of our family went to the Korean restaurant right across from this place, they were sat, ordered, and received their food. We left and went elsewhere

The place was empty. After 10 minutes, we got the menu, and after another 30 minutes, no waiter came to take our order. We left without eating or drinking anything... the place was completely empty. Germany, a service desert.

Schnitzel is the same as the frozen one from the supermarket. Weißwurst is the same as in the supermarket. Not sure about Kartoffelsuppe, was it canned or they cooked it themselves. I will never come here again, this is not a restaurant.

I leave the review even though we didn't really sit down to eat: the point is that we wanted to eat some pretzels and we found this place by luck: the best pretzels we ate on the entire trip!!!!! The rest of the food looked very good too, so we have yet to return!

Walking around Berlin, after visiting the DDR museum which is located a few meters away, we entered this gallery intrigued by the sign advertising typical Berlin food. The location is very nice, we took the grilled pork shank with mustard sauerkraut and flavored boiled potatoes and pork cutlets, all very good. If you are in Berlin I highly recommend it.

The Bavarian Spreestube is, in my opinion, a very good restaurant. We ate the Wiener Schnitzel, the pork schnitzel and the grilled knuckle. Each of the dishes was very good, although one could note that the schnitzel was a bit thicker and the accompanying fries were quite strongly seasoned for our taste. The service was also very friendly and the food was brought quickly. The price-performance ratio is solid.

Friendly service - delicious food!

Disappointing. Uncomfortable - without any Bavarian flair. On the wall is a picture of the Berlin TV tower. For what reason? Mini portions compared to the competition. Beer for 6.9. Benches so low that you have to grab the cushions under your butt to avoid sitting at the table like a toddler.

The furniture seems too soft, like it's worn out. You sit far too low at the table. The service seemed listless during our visit, there was no “Hello” or “Did you like it”? I had the knuckle and then a pretzel. The knuckle was far too small and the potatoes were cooked too long. The portion size doesn't match the price. The beer was too expensive at almost €7 for half a liter. My pretzel couldn't be served worse. Without salt and simply on a saucer, without a napkin. We had planned to stay longer, but then left and went somewhere else. There won't be a second time.

We asked for a curry wurst and they didn't tell us that they put the fries directly with it which cost €4.90 extra. A scam!

Went here with friends to warm up with a cup of coffee on a rainy afternoon. The choice of restaurant was rather random and spontaneous, but we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. My husband and I decided on a coffee and a warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce - it was incredibly delicious. Recommended!!

Typical German food. All the dishes, very good. We ate the typical Berlin soup and for dessert the apple pie. Very good treatment from the staff. Local children friendly.

Frozen veal schnitzel inedible! It was freezing cold in the “Imbiss Stube”. Restaurant would be saying too much. We had to put our jackets back on to avoid freezing. The waitress said it was always so cold in the winter because of the leaky windows. We had the veal schnitzel and white sausage. The veal schnitzel came to the table after 5 minutes with a puffy breading. Way too fast. When I pecked into it with a fork, the hot water that had accumulated ran out from under the breading. It was a frozen veal schnitzel that was simply heated quickly in a deep fryer that was too hot and therefore tasted cooked, tough and disgusting! It's a shame to deceive the guest like that and collect money. For almost 30 euros, the veal schnitzel should be freshly breaded. The pretzel with the white sausage was not freshly baked, but rather hard, tasted old and was very dark brown. Probably warmed up again. Really threw the money in the bin. Clapped without love! The typical Bavarian dishes are missing from the menu. There is neither Obazda with the pretzel or at least butter, nor the popular Kässpätzle. Missing from the menu. There is also a Bavarian restaurant at Potsdamer Platz. This is highly recommended and really great. From the food and the ambience! But never here again. 10% discount flyers were distributed on the street. Now we know why. Hands off !

I apprehended a bit from what i heard about german food but was blown away when i tasted the food. It was simply delicious the waiters were so nice and the mood of the place was awesome. The prices are very reasonable for the sizes of the dishes. I recomended absolutely + it's very close to all the museum which only makes it better for a artsy date.

Good food. I strongly recommend the potato soup, it is enough for a meal. The toilet is clean! They don't offer tap water.

Unfriendly, rude and absolutely not recommended! Four of us (my parents, my wife and I) wanted to eat at this restaurant on a Sunday. A waiter greeted us friendly and asked us to wait a moment until the table was ready. In the meantime, my mother wanted to use the toilet. This was noticed by another waitress, who promptly approached her and said rudely: "What's the point? The toilet costs €1 for non-guests!" She then came to me and added in a sharp tone: "Next time, please pay in advance before using the toilet!" I tried to explain to her that we were guests and were waiting for our table, but she didn't listen and simply disappeared. We have never experienced anything like this - completely outrageous and disrespectful! In addition, the entire restaurant was in a dilapidated condition: all the tables were dirty and there was a strong smell of old frying oil, which made staying there impossible. We finally decided to leave the restaurant. When I asked for the owner's phone number, I was denied it. Conclusion: A place I definitely can't recommend to anyone - unfriendly service, poor hygiene and an atmosphere that makes you want to run away!

Excellent restaurant in a strategic position, a few steps from the Berlin Cathedral. Here we found typical German dishes prepared with care, with a special mention to the meat, very tender and excellent both to the eye and to the palate. The restaurant is welcoming and well furnished, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to respond to our needs. Recommended for anyone looking for a true German dining experience in the heart of Berlin!

I ate this day, for the first time, in this restaurant, it was delicious. I took a Grillhare, take the same thing, you will not be disappointed. Really you must come.

Found this as detoured down a side road. First place we came across that was German orienated food and not disappointed. You may need to make staff aware of your custom if sitting outside but once you have placed your order service is efficient and food is good and affordable. Would come back as menu is enticing.

Good restaurant a few steps from the Berliner dom, serving typical Bavarian cuisine. The place is very nice and modern and the staff is friendly. The food I tried was good, the portion was generous and it filled me up a lot. The prices are quite reasonable and the beer they serve is also very good. For a pork shank and a liter beer I spent around 35 euros.

During a business trip to Berlin, I took the opportunity to do some sightseeing in the Duomo area, very close to AlexanderPlatz. What can I say, it was a really good lunch: I had a vegetarian cutlet of potatoes and peas with a side of potatoes. All very good, I recommend it even if I'm not vegan or vegetarian. The staff is young and very friendly. Fair prices.

Very nice restaurant with German specialties, pleasant atmosphere, friendly waitresses, comfortable to stay. The knee with potatoes, cabbage and mustard is really fantastic (21.90 eur), and with that a pint of beer (1 l - 6.90 eur) is a real pleasure. If you are not very hungry, one knee is enough for two people 🙂🙂🙂

Typical German place, really excellent cuisine, very good food, spent the right amount, the only flaw is that in a huge place full of empty sockets for charging the phone I was denied from charging my phone by the waiter both in the sockets and in checkout, (for a tourist traveling around the city it can be useful to do so) and it is the first place in the world where I am denied! Sin.

Frozen pork schnitzel with fries for 25 euros 🙈 the taste was correspondingly bad, the price was absolutely exorbitant. Currywurst with fries was ok, but nothing more and also not fair to the price for 15 euros.

Wrong order. However, they bring the dishes correctly afterwards. I really try to remain objective, but even six months after my visit, my Bavarian heart still bleeds when I think about this restaurant. To eat: Schnitzel: -from the TK (recognizable by color and taste) -Serving size average -Price 23€ (smooth 6-) -Taste OK French fries: -the cheap ones from the TK (now often like that so not so bad) -Portion size larger than average -Price OK (can't remember the exact amount) Beer: -Büble beer from the Allgäu -It's a solid Bavarian beer so nothing to complain about The atmosphere: -except white and blue tablecloths, nothing Bavarian - a bit homely thanks to the trees -Rain protection covered there Location: -in the middle of Berlin near Alexanderplatz -unfortunately no view of any of the nearby sights Service: nothing worth telling Conclusion: Tourist trap Otherwise all I can say is: If you really want authentic Bavarian/Austrian food you should either come to Bavaria or Austria. Optionally visit a Bavarian brewery, which is usually good.

Really bad shop. Air conditioning is running at full speed and service is just unfriendly. Food just average. And incredibly overpriced. A real tourist trap. Never again! We spoiled our stomachs. Then we had diarrhea and had to vomit. Thank you too!!!

We were looking for a pretzel in Berlin and we came across this restaurant. The pretzel was hot and really good. We took it to go, but the rest of the menu and dishes looked very good. The restaurant setting is very warm and welcoming.

Very tasty German food, solyanka and Bavarian bratwurst were amazing! Prices are affordable and service was good, it has a great location too, just near Berliner Dom and all main sights of Berlin. Took one point for atmosphere as it lacks specifically Bavarian atmosphere with wooden benches and tables (go to Hofbrau Wirtshaus for it), but otherwise place is really nice. Definitely recommend this place in Berlin for good German food

Ein größeres Restaurant in geringer Laufdistanz an der Museumsinsel und dem Dom gelegen. Das Essen ist typisch bayerisch, aber es gibt auch zum Beispiel Currywurst und Pommes. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich. Man kann auch draußen sitzen. Eine Punkt Abzug gebe ich, weil es keine Kinderportionen gibt. Meine Tochter wollte Schnitzel und Pommes essen, musste aber eine "normale" Portion nehmen, die natürlich nicht aufgegessen werden konnte, weil sie zu groß war, aber auch eben mehr kostet, als eine Kinderportion.

Nice Restaurant. The Food was very good and tasted great. However the Service and attention was lacking very much. One table next to us waited a long time without anybody paying attention to them, so they got up and left. The other thing was that the Mens Bathroom was very dirty and it smelled bad.

Idealne miejsce żeby spróbować typowej niemieckiej kuchni takiej jak bradwurst czy currywurst oraz przy okazji napić się niemieckiego piwa.

Wow, co za smaki w podawanych potrawach. Niby frytki a posypane papryką, schabowy palce lizać, a schabowy wegetariański niebo w gębie. Do tego położenie lokalu, tuż obok katedry. Obsługa tak pomocna że przyniosła dodatkowy talerz dla dziecka dla którego nie zamawialiśmy jedzenia pomimo że o to nie prosiliśmy. Dbanie o klienta od samego początku, przez obsługę i pożegnanie. Polecam, a sam z pewnoscia wrócę.

Wir wurden als Berliner von der Reklame an den Fenstern angelockt. Das Ambiente insbesondere im Außenbereich ist authentisch und es sieht auf den ersten Blick sauber aus. Eine Kellnerin hat uns im vorbeigehen ganz eigenartig an einen Tisch verwiesen. Dieser war leider klebrig und dreckig. Die Preise der Gerichte fand ich okay. 23€ für ein Wiener Schnitzel ist nicht super viel. Bei der Bestellung schien uns die Kellnerin irgendwie nicht zu verstehen. Wir haben das Wiener Schnitzel, die Berliner Currywurst sowie eine Brezel bestellt. Das Wiener Schnitzel war recht klein, knorpelig und auch ziemlich dick, die Pommes schienen mir die einfachsten TK-Pommes zu sein, die es gibt und der Gurkensalat-Portion war extrem klein. Hatte da alleine von der Anpreisung her etwas üppigeres erwartet. Currywurst war okay. Die Brezel sah schon aus als wäre sie vom Vortag aufgebacken und hat auch dementsprechend geschmeckt. Die Majo die uns gegeben wurde war total vollgeschmaddert. Insgesamt waren wir wirklich sehr enttäuscht und würden das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren am Samstag 08.07. abends dort essen, nachdem meine Frau auf der Außenkarte Eisbein mit Sauerkraut gesehen hat. Unsere Essen waren wirklich lecker, der Service war sehr gut. Preis- / Leistung passte auch. Bei unserem nächsten Berlin Besuch kommen wir gerne wieder. Macht weiter so, wir empfehlen euch sehr gerne weiter....
