The food was really good, a really great schnitzel and not one that was thrown into the deep fryer. The service was friendly and joking – I liked it. Unfortunately, I had to catch a train, otherwise I would have stayed a little longer. I can really recommend this restaurant right next to the station, and the prices are reasonable too. 👍🏻

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and we felt completely welcome. The overall service was also top-notch and very professional. I particularly appreciated the rustic and cozy ambiance, which immediately created a feel-good atmosphere. Thanks to the outdoor heaters, you could still sit outside and enjoy the food in a pleasantly warm atmosphere. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit; I'll definitely be back!

Overall, we felt well looked after there. Only the schnitzel was a bit bland in taste, but overall, everything was fine. The service (young woman) was very friendly. The view of the Rasender Roland (Raging Roland) was fantastic. Prices are reasonable.

Actually, a very nice restaurant with good to very good food. But today I felt like a tourist being exploited, who was supposed to leave his money there but had to accept everything. Despite a one-week reservation, we were seated at a table for four with two other people. When we asked about it, there was no attempt to resolve the situation properly. You can always go to the beer garden or eat somewhere else. No apology or anything like that. I was kicked out of the restaurant because that's easier than dealing with the situation and perhaps apologizing.

Lovely restaurant with an outdoor seating area right at the end of the Rasender Roland tram. We had two excellent Hamburg schnitzels. Be careful, the special offer board advertising two schnitzels for the price of one is only valid until 5 p.m.

Unfortunately, my schnitzel was a bit dry and lacked seasoning, and the salad lacked too much dressing for a total of €27 (€19 for the schnitzel and €8 for the salad). My companions were more satisfied.

We went out to eat as a family of four. The food received mixed reviews. It was essentially bland and tasteless, and the schnitzel was quite gristly. Questions to the service staff were answered in a rude and not particularly friendly manner. Except for the cashier, none of the four people present said goodbye.

The Rasender Roland restaurant in Göhren boasts a wonderful atmosphere – the location and ambiance are truly inviting and contribute greatly to a sense of well-being. The food was also impressive: the portions were generous, delicious, and of high quality. The service, however, was less positive. Of the waiters, only one spoke proper German, which made communication somewhat difficult. Furthermore, the service seemed uncoordinated: plates were sometimes cleared in a jumbled manner and even dropped. The wait time was particularly disappointing – even though the restaurant was not very busy, we had to wait around 70 minutes for our food. Conclusion: Those who value good food and a pleasant atmosphere will certainly be happy at the Rasender Roland. However, the service still has a lot of room for improvement and unfortunately significantly tarnished the otherwise very positive impression.

We visit the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren every year for our summer vacation. As big MotoGP fans, we get to watch the race every year during our vacation in the restaurant. The owner and his staff are very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. We really enjoy going there.

Absolutely 5 stars! Actually, more like 10! We went there twice within a few days. On our first visit, we asked about the allergy menu because our youngest daughter has a peanut allergy and received a prompt response from the owner and his chef. The friendliness we encountered at that moment was superb. The food was perfect. The service was superb. So we had to return again before we headed home. The service and food were delicious that evening, too. Despite the full house! The perfect ending was being able to say goodbye to the owner himself and share our thoughts with him. We will definitely eat there again when we visit Göhren.

A great place for a delicious lunch and to watch Roland the Rooster up close. The (presumably) Polish waitress this week was very welcoming and always smiling. The portions were generous, tasty, fresh, and it was great that you get two types of fish on one plate. This gave me the chance to try something new. About €25 for lunch with a small spritzer. There's covered, sunny seating outside, and a cozy, rustic atmosphere inside. I'd love to go back!

The food arrived relatively quickly and was also very tasty. The service was very friendly, and the ambiance is unique, as you're sitting near a small train station where the Rasende Roland (Raging Roland) train passes by.

We ate here twice on vacation. Pork chop for my little T-Rex, aka Chiara. Spring pasta with pollock for me. It was very good and superbly seasoned. The chef was very communicative and friendly, and the young people casually run the place and the waiters here during the holidays. Great restaurant right in Göhren station, where the Rasende Roland (Raging Roland) train departs. A narrow-gauge railway that runs to Laurtbach/Mole every two hours. Pulled by a steam locomotive, you should sit in the open carriage in good weather, but be careful, the smoke from the locomotive is quite unpleasant. As for the restaurant, the service was excellent and the food delicious.

The Rasender Roland location, or what we call a traditional restaurant, is really good. A cheerful boss who works hard and also has a friendly and hard-working team behind him. Especially in the summer, when the band Klinge und Co. plays on Monday evenings from 7 p.m., that's when the crew shows just how good they are. A full house and still keeping track of everything and, above all, a good mood isn't a given given the number of people. If you like schnitzel, you should stop by the restaurant on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Because they offer two schnitzels for the price of one. The portions are fair and delicious! The wheat beer was delicious. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the solyanka or the spiced meat. In my opinion, leeks and savory shouldn't be added to the spiced meat. It also contained lumps of flour and spice grains, and too much salt for my taste. The solyanka wasn't to our taste either. We probably just ordered the wrong thing. Maybe we were just unlucky that day. Reading the other reviews, it seems everyone else likes it. I will definitely try it again next time I'm on the island. I based my review on my personal experience at this restaurant. I can confirm that I ate the dish myself.

We've usually been very satisfied, but unfortunately not on this vacation. It all started with the reservation. Since we know that Klinge is always on site on Mondays, we tried to reserve in advance. But that only worked to a limited extent. We did manage to get a table inside. They said this wasn't possible outside due to the potential for bad weather. But in July, with the roof, it's rather unlikely that outdoor seating wouldn't be possible. Upon arrival, we were quickly and courteously assigned our table. Drinks were also taken and brought promptly. However, the food took a while to arrive. After about 1.5 hours, the food finally arrived, but only the main course. The starter was forgotten. Neighboring tables with small children also received their food later; the order of service was unclear. However, it was noticed that guests in the outdoor area were served significantly faster and also received their food more quickly. Probably because they preferred to serve more drinks there. The quality of the food and the portion size, however, were beyond reproach. You still get value for your money here. Blade was also very entertaining again. That made up for it.

A very quaint and charming restaurant, right next to the Rasende Roland! :-) And the atmosphere and offerings absolutely match the spirit! Hearty, down-to-earth, and delicious, lovingly prepared (homemade) dishes – fish, meat, vegetarian, a bit of Northeast German, everything your heart desires, especially in this area. I'd be happy to return!

First of all, a big compliment. There's a basket at each table (see picture) with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mayo, mustard, and sweet mustard. The staff is super friendly and up for a laugh. They're on the same wavelength as the "customer." The food, simply divine❤️ We had the BBQ spare ribs and the chicken schnitzel. The ribs were tender and extremely well marinated. The schnitzel was juicy, well-seasoned, and the onions were perfectly aromatic. An absolute feast for the palate

Eight of us went out to eat today. We had reserved a table. Everything was prepared, including a highchair. The service was extremely attentive. They checked several times to see if everything was okay. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, despite the restaurant being packed. It was delicious and the portions generous. We'd be happy to come back.

The restaurant is right next to the track of the famous Roland statue. It's a must if you have children or if you enjoy old steam locomotives. On previous visits, we were served very quickly. Today, we had to wait almost 30 minutes just to order drinks. The outdoor restaurant wasn't very busy. Otherwise, the food and atmosphere are excellent. Perhaps the next time we visit, ordering will be quicker...

Service was really, really good. Unfortunately, we weren't really impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, but nothing I'd eat again. We ordered solyanka, salmon with pesto and tagliatelle, and chicken breast. The tagliatelle portion was excessively large, and the carrot salad with the chicken breast was so small that you had to hunt for it. The pesto also tasted like Barilla's; you can make it, but a little extra pimping would be good. I would have been thrilled if I couldn't make it better myself. But I would.

A real insider tip on Rügen! We visited the restaurant right next to the train station in Göhren with family and friends – and it was simply wonderful! The location directly on the Rasender Roland is unique and makes the journey a special experience. We drove all the way from Sellin to Göhren just for the food – and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fresh, lovingly prepared, and of the highest quality. The fried fish on salad and the schnitzel with fried egg were particularly highlights. The side dishes and small details on the plate also showed that the food here is cooked with passion. Our tip: Take a ride on the Rasender Roland in the evening and stop off in Göhren – a real experience for all ages! We will definitely be back. Thanks to the team for the great evening!

This is a great place for railway enthusiasts. Right next door, the steam train with the legendary Roland statue chugs along, its wonderful steam whetling your appetite for hearty fare even more. You can get everything here – from delicious fish dishes to classics that always taste good. There are also some GDR dishes on the menu, if you'd like to try them. Very interesting and highly recommended!

The food was good. The service bad. The three points are only for the food and the young man who brought us the food - because he was nice. The waitress, however, was unfriendly. When asked if she could open the parasol outside, she said, "We don't do that." When I asked why there were umbrellas there, she said, "We only do that when it's very hot." She had no answer to my question about what heat has to do with solar radiation. Then we had to hold out our hands and she sprayed a spray of disinfectant on the hands. I said it didn't help. It's far too little. Not that I thought it was necessary, but if it was, then it was the right thing to do. Apart from the small things that one cutlery and napkin wasn't enough.

My parents received a 3-course Easter menu as a gift and immediately felt at home. The restaurant is rustic but very tastefully decorated and the service was first class. The food was plentiful and tasty, and the service was friendly and courteous and also asked about the well-being of their guests. The ambience in this restaurant is perfect in all respects and so I can only recommend it and with the train station where the Racing Roland runs as a steam locomotive, you should definitely stop by there. Many thanks to the whole team, because it was only thanks to your service as a whole package that my parents had a wonderful evening with you for two🥰👍
