It was pretty good. German food from the south. Tasty heavy food 😉

We came here between the holidays in a large group >10 at lunchtime. It's a shame, we actually wanted to spend a nice lunch and evening with the family, but the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen wasn't the right place for it. Reservations were made early and in person because of the special request "gallery" or "in the room below". Here we were assured and noted that the table would be reserved for us because it was already taken downstairs. When we arrived, of course, a table in the middle of the hall was "set" (if you can call it that here). After discussion, the tables were pushed together upstairs for us. After 20 minutes there was a call on the cell phone from the Bavaria Alm where we were staying because a table had been reserved. We had probably already been there for 35 minutes at that point. (The call came from the gentleman who made the reservation and then assigned us the table). There was a lot of confusion. Finally we were able to place our drinks and food orders. Food and drinks always took a long time to arrive. During the waiting times, our tables were not cleared at all, so we sat at the end of the table with dirty dishes the whole time. Only after we kept putting the dishes and glasses on the empty neighboring table after a very long wait (sometimes up to an hour after eating) did they finally get cleared away. Some of the staff just stood around and chatted, there would definitely have been time to clear up or get new drinks. Instead, they preferred to take down the Christmas decorations, some of which almost fell on other guests' heads. Unfortunately, our food was very poor in terms of taste and quality. We have rarely eaten so badly! Can't recommend it. Service was also more bad than good. We won't be coming back.

There were 8 of us, it took about a minute before the drinks order was taken. Then another 40 minutes. Before the first drinks came to us. Another half hour before the food order was taken. Another half hour before the food came but half of it was forgotten and then rude when asked. We won't go there again.

We were there for Sunday brunch. Unfortunately there is little good to report. You can no longer find juices on the buffet as usual. We then wanted to order apple juice, but unfortunately it was no longer available! Orange juice, apple spritzer and various types of tea could not be ordered either. This left water for the children. Cheese platter empty for over 20 minutes, no one felt responsible for refilling it despite requests, four of the waiters stood behind the counter and had private conversations. The "warm" dishes were not warm... The atmosphere is great, cozy, sociable and very inviting. At a price of just under 21 euros per person. At the end of the day, WITHOUT drinks, it's a shame that the Bavaria Alm has deteriorated so much.

Unfortunately, the taste of our entire meal was too watery and the dumpling consisted almost entirely of flour instead of potatoes, we have rarely eaten so badly! Can't recommend it. About 2 years ago it was significantly better!

New in Garbsen, discovered this shop and went for brunch, was very satisfied, so next time I recommended it to several other people and everyone went for brunch. The stay had absolutely nothing to do with the previous one. The entire time there were 5 people in jackets; it was incredibly cold inside. The waitress kindly seated us somewhere else, but it was very cold there too. The guests at neighboring tables felt the same way. Sitting down upstairs, we didn't even get the chance to order anything else because no one came, even to pay we went to the checkout after waiting another 20 minutes. no one just came by. The food was cold, not even lukewarm. The beautiful white sausages are completely muddy from lying in the water for so long (Bavarian is different). Cabbage cold, dumplings hard + completely dried out, meat tough. Only the cold breakfast was edible, if you can call it that in this cold environment. The staff was friendly, you have to admit, but not really in terms of increased sales or customer satisfaction interested. In the end it was the sum of things, overall it was a disappointment, none of us will go there again.

Normally 5 stars, today seemed to be a bad day. Still worth a visit.

First of all, the table we reserved for 7 p.m. was occupied, we were then seated somewhere else, after the soup we waited almost 2 hours for the main course and then we also got cold food.

The food was cold and there is little room for improvement when it comes to the speed and quality of service. When we entered we asked for a child seat, then got it ourselves after over 30 minutes to take the order over 20 minutes and the food was cold when it arrived at the table. I hope this was the B cast and they get another chance to learn it properly.

If you make a reservation by phone at 3:00 p.m. for 5:00 p.m., then you arrive there and the reservation cannot be found, you are seated at a table that a few minutes later is marked as reserved from 5:30 p.m., no one gets around Taking a drink order and feeling completely ignored, all you can do is leave the store. They should work on their service!! Not to mention that when you enter the store you are initially ignored for 5 minutes and stand around stupidly at the entrance! What a shame actually!

Terrible food. We had “Jägerschnitzel”. The waiters were all great and very friendly.

I ordered spaetzle in cream cheese sauce and the food was very dry. I wouldn't order again. There were 10 of us in total and everyone had something to complain about. Either the food they wanted wasn't available enough and the other wasn't as tasty as expected. Personally, I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

The entire team at Bavaria Alm Garbsen is world class! The ambience is outstanding! Food is worthy of the Champions League! I can only recommend the Bavaria Alm Garbsen!!!

We wanted to spend a nice Boxing Day with my mother-in-law and were bitterly disappointed! The food was terribly bad 👎🏼! The duck was beyond pale, the meat was dry, as was the dumpling. As if everything had been put through the microwave once. The orange sauce wasn't a sauce but a gooey jelly mass! Only the red cabbage was edible. The plate was so overloaded that it was almost impossible to disassemble the duck. In the end I didn't eat at all. My husband's kale didn't look any better 😖! The cabbage was totally watery and tasteless, not seasoned! But my mother-in-law was, as always, thrilled with her Kaiserschmarren. We definitely won't be back, although we will miss the really great staff. The guys are doing a great job 👍🏼! By the way, there were job offers for the Bavaria Alm on the tables; One of the things we were looking for was a chef!!! We can understand that! Well, unfortunately we won't see each other again, but your mother-in-law will stay with you.

We celebrated an 18th birthday here and felt very comfortable. The food was good and the service was also good despite the restaurant being full

The shop is rustic and cozy. There is plenty of on-site parking, a patio for outdoor dining and an indoor dining area. The employees are all super friendly and attentive. Dogs are welcome and are given water immediately. The food is, as you know it, German and delicious. All in all, very tasty and highly recommended!

So we were there with 6 people on December 14th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. We were welcomed and shown to the table we had reserved. Basically really nice, except for what we found a bit unfortunate that we were right next to the entrance Sitting at the toilet. It was also the case that we sat at two tables on a bench, which wasn't so nice. Cushions would have been nice here. .But we were still rewarded with a fantastic meal. We had the Molle wooden trough, the lion steak and meat loaf and the beef roulade and, last but not least, the Kaiserschmarrn. I have to say everyone was very enthusiastic about the food. It arrived very hot enough. The drinks, from beer to spritzer and mulled wine, were all great. Our waitress Charlieen was very friendly and attentive and really did a great job. We would love to come back and were very enthusiastic about you. Thank you for a nice evening The location is highly recommended. And anyone who loves good cuisine comes here.

Overall great ambience and attentive service. We were a large group of 30 people and everything went great. Parking spaces are available. The main courses were very good, I would rate the desserts 4/5.

We visited the Bavaria Alm for lunch on November 26th, 2024. The ambience and service was great, unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. Molle wooden trough for 25.50 euros -Shank meat, was a mini knuckle whole and in my opinion it was not freshly prepared as the meat was grayish and very dry. - The mini meatballs and grilled sausages tasted like they came from a discount store. - In my opinion, the meatloaf wasn't homemade either. -Debreziner was cold and neither fried nor grilled. -The white sausage was okay. - The sauerkraut was the best part of the whole meal and tasted good. -The fried potatoes were partly still hard and partly burnt black, as if they had been in the pan twice. Since I'm an expert myself, I know what I'm talking about here.

Very nice atmosphere to feel good, even with a fireplace and armchairs. Tasteful decoration with appropriate, unobtrusive music. Friendly and quick service. Only the food seemed to me to be from the day before, as the meat was hard and dry and the fried potatoes were partly burnt and partly still hard. I definitely won't go here to eat again. Delicious food, very good selection of drinks, very nice service. We had dinner there yesterday with 4 people and none of them had anything to complain about.

Great ambience. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet is not recommended. Sometimes we waited forever for new rolls as well as fruit and much more. The store wasn't busy, so it shouldn't have happened. Service isn't great either. Plates were not picked up. But otherwise everything is okay

We haven't been guests in the Alm for a long time, from our point of view it just wasn't right anymore. But now today again completely spontaneously. We felt very comfortable thanks to Hanna!!!! It's just a shame that there are no more staff who host with so much passion. Hanna is a real asset to the Alm! Hopefully it will stay with the Alm and us!!!

It's a shame, we actually wanted to spend a nice evening, but the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen wasn't the right place for it 🙁 There was a bit of chaos there on Saturday, November 16th, 2024. We waited 70 minutes for our food. Given that the menu is quite clear, this simply took far too long. What was worse, however, was that some of the food was lukewarm to cold. Cold fried potatoes and fries just don't taste good. The service staff then wanted to take all of the plates away instead of simply bringing warm fries and fried potatoes. We declined because we wanted to eat together with friends. Dessert was a long time coming again. While we were waiting, our table was only partially cleared, so I sat at the end of the table with dirty dishes the whole time. But I returned the cold Kaiserschmarrn. It was a mistake. It didn't taste good at all anymore... it was way too rubbery. It no longer surprised me that the promised café didn't come as an excuse. We couldn't have a meaningful conversation either because it was far too loud. All in all, the price-performance ratio was not nearly right for us. 200 euros for 5 people for this service was simply inappropriate. We won't be coming back.

We had brunch here today... it was very disappointing, the plates or the warming containers were constantly empty and it took forever until it was refilled! No comparison to other years! Tables and dishes were not cleared either.

If I could, I would give you even more stars. The food is very very and the service even better. Keep it up!

We will continue to be your guests. It is an advantage to reserve in advance so that you don't have to go home with an empty stomach.

Today we went to the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen for a test meal. It started with a warm pretzel with herb butter and a very good Obazda. Unfortunately, the herb butter was oversalted, the criticism was dealt with confidently by the restaurant expert and discussed by the kitchen team. This was also taken off the bill, .....all good, that can happen. The main course followed: Roulade in its own jus (this was terrific), red cabbage and a potato dumpling. A small point from us: serve it in a preheated pan...then the dish will retain its heat for a little longer. In conclusion, ......we can recommend the Bavaria Alm with a clear conscience...... Good home cooking, prices are reasonable...the team is attentive. Attention, ...it is advisable to make a reservation!

Nice Bavarian concept with appropriate decor and specialties on the menu. We had cheese spaetzle and Jägerschnitzel. The food tasted good and the portion size was sufficient. The prices are okay and reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly and in a good mood. We will definitely come back. Recommended.

A nice part of Bavaria with all the advantages hidden in the middle of Garbsen

Katastrophal, ich hatte Freunde anlässig meines runden Geburtstags zum Brunch am 31.10.1024 eingeladen und die Enttäuschung war sehr groß. Die Suppe war versalzen und hatte meines Erachtens viel zu viel Stärke. Der Zander war hart und geschmacklos und nachgefüllt wurde um 11.oo h nicht. Ein Brunch, der bis 14.oo h geht, sollte doch wohl für Gäste die um 11.oo h kommen noch alles auf den Auslagen finden. Nach dieser Enttäuschung nie wieder Bavaria Alm in Garbsen. Übrigens war es nicht das erste Mal mit einem enttäuschenden Besuch dort. Monika Neugebauer

Insane, incredibly great buffet. I've never seen anything like it in Brandenburg/Berlin. Very exciting, a lot of different things and top service. Someone is always available to get drinks if needed. Definitely coming back here next time we're in the area.

I had reserved in advance for my birthday on Saturday and was very happy because we already know Bavaria Alm Torfhaus from our vacation. We should get a table by 7:30 p.m. - table 18 should be kept free. We had previously been to Serengeti Park with our children and already knew the Bavaria Alm from the Torfhaus where we were always happy, so we had expectations accordingly. When we arrived we discovered that we had already been crossed off the list. Unfortunately, the table we had was dirty. Well, it was very crowded, it can happen, you have to do it yourself, not on request! We weren't happy with the table but we got one... Unfortunately the fireplace wasn't burning at all, I love the rustic, cozy atmosphere, that's why we're coming... well... there wasn't even a candle on the table? A bit of ambience? The waiter tried to process the drink quickly, brought cards, but none for the child, so we had to ask specifically. After drinking, no one ever came to us again. We wanted to leave after 50 minutes! By the way, we sat exactly opposite the bar. But we weren't paid any attention, especially the lady in the red top who didn't do any work in the 2 hours we were there that day. She was more occupied with herself even though the place was full to the last table. We had to ask clearly to order food. Food arrived after ordering in a reasonable time and looked decent, portion was good. Unfortunately we had to complain about the roulade. Unfortunately no one came to the table and asked if everything was okay, we had to take care of it ourselves. However, the complaint was handled flawlessly and in a friendly manner and it was dealt with immediately. We were offered dessert on the house, which is very positive. There's really nothing to say! The little one was happy about the ice cream. I then just ate the woman's food, everything was fine, even though I would have liked to eat roulade, I was full in the end. On a positive note, would we like the chef? That evening I would like to mention that he helped out in service and walked up and down and seemed to be very hard working, no one else there exuded such enthusiasm. I really like the atmosphere. The waitresses are always very nice too. Unfortunately, I find the food anything but tasty. Anyone who has ever enjoyed real Bavarian cuisine knows what I mean. Prices are also way too high for the quality.

Price performance fits. You really can't complain about that. We took the breakfast buffet, which was always well filled and all the hot dishes were kept warm. The service was good. The staff didn't notice the "stress" and were friendly throughout. What I also really like is that their "Alps" theme is carried through completely and doesn't stop at the toilet, for example. This is often the case with restaurants. The selection of the buffet is complete sufficient and well filled.

Not the first time we came to the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen! But this time I would like to make a statement. I finally tried the pork knuckle with typical Bavarian sauerkraut and napkin dumplings: This wasn't the last menu of this kind. I've rarely eaten such a successful knuckle. My wife's dish, a hunter-style schnitzel, was also perfect. The staff is beyond any doubt, namely very friendly, knowledgeable and well trained. The wonderful ambience is almost self-evident. A visit to this location is always worth it!

Hello everyone, I was there with my best friend on Sunday, we planned to chat until our ears glowed, we got a table that was perfect for us, with a view of the fireplace. It was buffet time and the hut was pretty full, I love breakfast and so it quickly became clear that we would have it, we ordered drinks and were satisfied, that's when things really went off, unfortunately as time went on we got a bit tired ignored, we had to take the initiative ourselves to order something else, as I said it was pretty full. We stayed until the evening because we felt so comfortable and will be back because it also tasted great, happy birthday to the team Create and see you soon!

I had high hopes for this Bavarian restaurant, but was bitterly disappointed. The service was miserable. Our waiter didn't seem to be interested and didn't even want to come up the stairs to our table. Instead I had to hand him everything straight from the table – very rude! The waiting times were unbearable. We waited forever for our orders while other guests were already being served. The ambience was not at all what you would expect in a Bavarian restaurant. Instead of traditional music, there was a 2000s playlist playing in the background, which devalued the whole experience even more. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There's just nothing wrong here!

My review: Unfortunately, the service in this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. There is clearly a lack of an experienced manager who can set clear processes and ensure that everything runs smoothly. From the moment guests were welcomed to the placement, there were already uncertainties. Taking the order was also chaotic: the food was served first and the drinks came afterwards - that definitely shouldn't happen. A repeat order was completely ignored, and additional orders were allegedly not possible, even though the goods were in the house. Other guests left their table because their food was served cold, adding to the problem. The positive is that the food is really good. But you can't just let young, inexperienced employees run the store alone, without proper guidance or supervision. There is an urgent need for a manager who ensures structure and quality in the service.

Wir bestellten eine Rinderroulade (sie wurde innerhalb von 15 Minuten serviert), leider war sie geschmacklos, wahrscheinlich in der Mikrowelle oder ähnlichem erhitzt, definitiv nicht gebacken und die Beilagen wie Gurke und Speck ließen zu wünschen übrig. Es schmeckte wie Papier ohne jegliche Gewürze. Wir machen oft Rinderroulade zu Hause (wir kommen aus Oberschlesien) es ist für uns traditionelles Gericht. Wir bedauern, dass wir Zeit und Geld verschwendet haben.

I felt sick right after eating. I woke up early with diarrhea, nausea, headache, fever. I was so sick that just water made me sick. I lay flat all day after the evening in the restaurant with nausea and stomach pain. The food didn't taste good, the taste was very glutamate/flavor enhancer, but unfortunately I still ate it because I was very hungry after the day at the trade fair. A colleague had the same symptoms despite eating different foods. I definitely won't eat here again and can only advise others not to. I had potato soup and dumplings with broccoli.

I spent a wonderful evening at Bavaria Alm Garbsen! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the music in particular was very pleasant and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. Special praise goes to the friendly and courteous waitress (Lena was her name), who made the evening even better. The Wiener-style schnitzel I had was absolutely perfect – crispy, juicy and hit the spot. You simply feel good here! I'll definitely be back. Clear recommendation!

Unfortunately, this was the second time that we were disappointed with a Bavaria Alm. First in Hildesheim and this time in Garbsen. This time the meal took well over an hour, and some of it was already cold and the portions were smaller and the food was prepared and presented differently than usual. In addition, there was suddenly no more non-alcoholic beer. In addition, there were far too few staff, so the ones that were still there were a bit overloaded, but still friendly. In the future we will no longer go to a Bavaria Alm.

Price-performance is good but Conviniens food, service needs a lot of improvement. You always have to ask when ordering, glasses and plates are cleared away and discussed, but there is no response when you ask whether there is anything else, which is how you can recognize support staff and not specialist staff.

Went there for a snack today, September 1st, 2024. It was a HUGE disappointment. Had the alpine spread. It was so undefined and didn't correspond to the menu description. Furthermore, the BIGGEST Bavarian fault is shown on the map. That's where the Russ'n is made with Sinalco. Ugh. Although the map with Limi described how to do it correctly. Food was plentiful, but the dumplings weren't what you'd expect. They were too tight. Roulade was also tasty, but the braising time was too short. The meat was tough.

Unfortunately a failure... and NOT recommended anymore... The service was really bad. There were five of us and somehow everything went wrong... The cocktails weren't cocktails but overpriced juice... Then the food came, but there was no cutlery... none was brought when asked... Because I had to wait took a long time, I got it myself. A salad was forgotten and the waiter wanted to bring it, but he didn't. Also remembered again and went back to the counter after the second time... Then there were 3 Kaiserschmarn for dessert, ordered, so far everything was good. Unfortunately, all three were extremely dry, but what surprised us was that there were pumpkin seeds in the Kaiserschmarn... they were neither on the menu nor should they be included there. When it came time to pay, I expressed my disappointment... and also asked for the pumpkin seeds... The waitress wanted to clarify it in the kitchen. When she came back, she apologized for the dry Kaiserschmarn... but the kitchen couldn't explain the pumpkin seeds either... It's very trustworthy when foreign ingredients get into the food and not even the kitchen has an explanation for it ... We weren't offered anything, no espresso or anything like that. Unfortunately, this was the third failure in the Bavaria Alm... (There were only 4 tables occupied outside and 3 inside) in beautiful weather... Unfortunately, I think the development is reflected here... For us it was the last Visit!

Beautiful Bavarian food, super tasty

It was tasty, but the portions get smaller with each visit. The bowl for the goulash soup was no longer even half full. It's a shame, the friendly staff doesn't help either.

So the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen is really great. 😁👍🤩 The way you're inside makes you feel good. A cozy atmosphere is everywhere. When we were there, we had a small advantage due to the summer holidays: free choice of tables. No matter how many people there are, you can always find the right table. The menu has something for every taste, whether big or small, everyone will find exactly what they like. The staff at the Bavaria Alm are very friendly and helpful and are happy to provide information about the dishes. So if you receive such friendly service, you'll be happy to come to the Bavaria Alm more often. There is a glass fire pit in the middle of the alpine pasture and from what I found out, a fire is lit there in the winter and it is definitely very cozy, so you will want to stay there longer. 😃😃😃 I ate half a brathandel with fries and a small salad at the Bavaria Alm (it was really tasty 😋) and for dessert there was a warm piece of apple strudel with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a pot of coffee. The apple strudel is really tasty and very tasty. But be careful, you would like to eat two pieces of it at once. So the Bavaria Alm in Garbsen gets all the thumbs up and I can highly recommend that you all go there and have something to eat and enjoy your time in the Alm. Sun lovers are also catered for, there are plenty of places outside. So everyone gets their favorite place.
