I eat here regularly during my lunch break and have never been disappointed! The food tastes really good, the portions are reasonable and filling. A special highlight: The dürüm dough is homemade! You can taste it! The dishes are consistently well-seasoned and freshly prepared. Wait times are usually short, which is perfect for a lunch break. Definitely a recommendation if you're in the area!

What the hell happened here? We had a chicken dürüm, and the meat was full of gristle and inedible pieces. It was almost impossible to eat, let alone enjoy. In the end, there was more left than we ate. And that's really disappointing, because we used to really enjoy eating here. The quality was really good back then, but unfortunately, there's nothing left of that today. It seems like everything has to be done quickly, with no regard for freshness or processing. It's a shame that they're letting a place like this go under.

In 2016, when I first went to Batman, a Dürüm still cost €3.50. Since then, the world has changed, become more complicated, and more expensive. And yet I still enjoy coming to Batman, partly because (except for the price) almost everything has stayed the same: There are the big questions "Does everything come with salad?", "Sauce? (Cocktail or tzatziki?)", "Do you want it spicy?", and "Do you want it with this?", which still require thoughtful but uncomplicated answers (especially the second-to-last one). There's the delicious, homemade bread and the simple, honest atmosphere. The Batman Dürüm (judged in the context of Steindamm) is certainly not the G-Class of the kebab world, but (at least in the "salad everything"/"cocktail"/"a bit spicy" combination) it's at least, in my opinion, a rock-solid Audi Q7 with black tinted windows, which (in the "for here" version) can be tuned a bit with the existing Zitrovin. So, even in 2025, you can't let inflation and the current €8.50 per Dürüm scare you off.

Quality very good meat, less is more clearly fits here, whereby I do not mean the size of the portions but the concentration on the essentials without a lot of frills

The Jumbo Döner is a very good size – large portions and very tasty! For 10 € you can get from Essen, the delivery costs 2.50 € extra. The service is easy and the personal friend is friendly. For years, they've been serving great doner meat in all their dishes, and I highly recommend it for both taste and portion size. Unfortunately, since 2023 (I know... everything's getting more expensive), they've increased their prices twice, so the Dürum is now €10.

One of Hamburg's best kebabs: The durum and kofte plates are highly recommended. Juicy chicken, veal, a choice of sauces, and super fresh salad. Simple but delicious. Within walking distance of the main train station in just a few minutes. The staff is friendly and uncomplicated.

I don't know why this place is so hyped. The Dürum simply tastes like nothing, and they're so stingy with the meat. The bread is more like a gluten-free rag. Not good at all, not even up to standard.

Service is very fast, but the friendliness is rather mixed; it's a little odd who you meet. The furnishings are a bit worn and more cafeteria-style, but that fits the concept. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is impressive, and you'll leave feeling full. If you're on the corner, this is always a good place to stop.

Very tasty chicken durum with a special durum bread, which resembles a crepe but is actually quite delicious. The meat could use more seasoning. Very friendly service, but the place doesn't really invite you to linger. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.

I drive into Hamburg 2-3 times a year and actually enjoy eating at Batman... But this time we had a hair in our kebab, and the lady didn't want another kebab because she'd lost her appetite. When I wanted to pay, I mentioned the hair again, and the lady didn't care at all. Not even a discount or anything... Sad for such a traditional kebab shop in Hamburg that sells 500 kebabs a day... That was the last time!!

Today I was at the Batman Restaurant on Steindamm in Hamburg and ordered a rollo with meat. Unfortunately the quality was a big disappointment this time. The meat was ice cold - there were even pieces of ice still in it. It looked like the meat had been pre-cut and frozen. When I approached the staff about it and asked for a new blind, they simply threw the old one into the sandwich maker with all the trimmings (salad, sauce, etc.) to warm it up. Something like that is absolutely unacceptable to me, both in terms of taste and hygiene. After this experience I will definitely not go there again. This used to be my favorite shop, but unfortunately that has changed.

I had the Dürüm with chicken here. The Dürüm was intended to become a symbol of Turkish-French friendship. I like to call this Ottoman meat roll Crepês Doner. The "lavas bread" is more like a crepês than a nice dürüm. Salad was fresh and the sauces were sufficient. Chicken meat was okay but partly juiced and weak. In terms of price, it is no longer what it used to be and is rather at the upper end. The positive is the size of the Dürüm. It's okay but by no means a very good kebab.

I always ate there once a week. I always came especially from Norderstedt and always took my whole family with me for years. But for a few months now I've been getting less and less meat and unfortunately I have to decide not to go there anymore. And for this money you should get normal kebab, not flatbread with a bit of salad

Very tasty Dürüm kebab. Staff super nice and accommodating. It was easy to sit there and eat. Clear recommendation. My wife couldn't finish her meal, there was aluminum foil to take away. Really all in all very good. We'd love to come back.

Technically a bomb! The food there tastes very good and is also reasonably priced. Service could be a bit nicer, as you have the feeling that you are just being processed like you are on a conveyor belt. The ambience inside is nice and quiet and spacious, outside the location is a small disadvantage in my opinion due to the main station and therefore certain clients. Otherwise a great recommendation for delicious food on hand or there.

Nie wieder! Ich war heute in diesem Dönerladen und muss sagen, dass ich enttäuscht bin. Der Laden akzeptiert nur Bargeld, was heutzutage wirklich unverständlich ist, da fast jeder Laden auch Kartenzahlungen anbietet. Zudem bekam ich keine Quittung, was ich als sehr unprofessionell empfinde, besonders in Zeiten, in denen Belege für jede Zahlung wichtig sind. Für mich ist das ein absolutes No-Go. Ich werde diesen Laden definitiv nicht mehr besuchen und kann ihn leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Nie wieder

Never again! I was in this kebab shop today and I have to say I'm disappointed. The store only accepts cash, which is really incomprehensible these days as almost every store also offers card payments. I also didn't receive a receipt, which I find very unprofessional, especially in times when receipts for every payment are important. For me this is an absolute no-go. I will definitely not visit this store again and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. Never again

After eating almost raw chicken I sat on the toilet for 2 days with diarrhea! Although I asked for the meat to be cooked a little more. The only thing that tastes good is the dürüm bread, you can throw the rest in the bin...

We actually prefer to eat the Dürüm kebab there... unfortunately the quality of the meat has deteriorated so much... unbelievably disgusting... that's it for us. I've never had so many "bumps"! Wow.

I've actually been eating here for several years, it was always good, the employees used to be very nice, but today there are employees in front of the skewers who either look at you grimly or treat you disrespectfully, there is no hello and no friendliness, instead, stinginess as if they were giving their kidneys, I also looked at other reviews that simply reflect it Point being made, there are employees who are not friendly and want to make it unpalatable for you. Nowadays you don't even need the seats at the top anymore. That's a great pity. Being Turkish, the döner here is one of the worst I had ever in my life. They make their own bread but it has the texture of crepes rather than bread. Onions in the dürüm are huge. They don’t accept card and this is already a bad sign. I wish I never ate here.

Store stinks, unhygienic, homeless toilets, it's cold and drafty. Eating the worst rice of my life. Salad simply tzatziki and cocktail sauce slapped. Selling products from Israel such as cola etc. Only good chicken kebabs and the price is ok.

I was here last year and really wanted to bring my family a Dürum each because I thought it was really tasty last year. There was nothing going on yesterday and 6-8 people were more or less just standing around. The person at the checkout entered an amount of €8 instead of €40, which is of course tax evasion, but oh well. That's not what it's supposed to be about. I got 5 soft cold durums with very little meat that was pre-cut. There was only enough for 3 Dürum and then they simply took the meat from the 3 and distributed it to the remaining 2. Only the service is normal. It didn't treat me like dirt and even asked with a smile what sauce I would like and 3 stars for that.

I've been a regular customer there for many years, I've always enjoyed ordering kebab plates or jumbo dürüm there, the price has risen enormously in the last few months, which is ok, but at the same time the portion has become much smaller (very economical with meat, etc.). Back then I got Jumbo Dürüm thick and heavy, today I get €7 Jumbo Dürüm like normal Dürüm. I was actually expecting it to be really thick and heavy, which I think is fine, unfortunately not the case! I think that's a shame, I really enjoyed eating there... Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was never good anymore.

Unfortunately it's just standard, even if the reviews and some online sites see it differently. The seemingly homemade Dürum is okay, but also very dominant. The meat was grilled properly, but was ultimately overshadowed by the sauce (of course it's your own fault if you add sauce). Ultimately, the expectations could not be met, which is further depressed by the hefty price of €8.

I've been waiting for the chicken pieces from before to be available again for about 10 years. Wooo are the chicken pieces from back in the day, when the walls were still painted with the mountains of Kurdistan 😭. The Dürüm still tastes very good. After the renovation, the quality declined for a while, but now the quality is mostly very good again (if the bread is freshly made). The chicken dürüm at least. I've never tried veal here and I never will. Batman Dürüm is original only with chicken meat.

All in all just horrible in every way.

The Dürüm kebab is prepared with a very tasty dough and therefore has a very unique taste. The meat is well grilled and tastes good in harmony with the salad. There is a large area with tables further back which also makes it possible to eat on site.

Salamander aluminum ladies and gentlemen, I can only complain because the staff was rude, the food was tasteless, the salad was artificial and the meat was RAW. I wasn't in the mood for salmonella. And to top it off, there was no Batman poster or anything else. Never again, that's so disgusting. What a juice shop.

I've eaten at Batman in Hamburg Steindamm several times now. The food was NEVER really tasty. However, since the last visit, my husband and I have been lying flat in bed with stomach pains, nausea and diarrhea. I threw the Dürüm with beef and chicken in the trash after 3 bites!!! The shop is also not hygienic, hands are not washed and everything is prepared without gloves. So if you want to catch salmonella, you've definitely come to the right place!!!

You are not told that you have to pay at the checkout first and then pick up your food. I generally never write reviews, but I have to warn people about this store. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The Dürüm is simply a limp, cold rag. The meat is okay, but could have been much crispier. The salads have no taste and the only sauces to choose from were tzatziki and cocktails. The ambience is the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a long time - the operating room light is more comfortable there. The absolute height was a sign with the note: “If there is a lot going on, it may be that our employees cut the meat down too early and it is not completely cooked through - please point this out to the employee.” You can't be serious 😂? The best thing I can do is make the kebab myself. Then there would be least love in it. Unfortunately the service here wasn't good either. Everything has to happen quickly, even though there wasn't much going on in the store. I can really only advise against a visit. Too bad!

I've been eating kebab here for 30 years. It used to be much better and more familiar when they were a small shop. Very tasty kebab and other dishes too. Sometimes very expensive. The service is very bad. The kebab men in particular are very unfriendly. This may be because some of them don't speak German. But you feel like a burden when you stand there and order something.

Super friendly, super fast, but unfortunately the quality wasn't convincing. We weren't the only ones at lunchtime, so the meat was well done but not really well seared. Unfortunately, the sauce at the bottom of the box was probably bland due to the number of orders. Maybe it's better when there's less going on.
