We actually prefer to eat the Dürüm kebab there... unfortunately the quality of the meat has deteriorated so much... unbelievably disgusting... that's it for us. I've never had so many "bumps"! Wow.

I've actually been eating here for several years, it was always good, the employees used to be very nice, but today there are employees in front of the skewers who either look at you grimly or treat you disrespectfully, there is no hello and no friendliness, instead, stinginess as if they were giving their kidneys, I also looked at other reviews that simply reflect it Point being made, there are employees who are not friendly and want to make it unpalatable for you. I don't experience anything like that anywhere else. I think the employees feel so comfortable that they can do whatever they want and therefore deal with you very disrespectfully. I have to say that customer satisfaction should be the be-all and end-all. I'm satisfied, but unfortunately not before, the store was packed to the brim. Nowadays you don't even need the seats at the top anymore. That's a great pity. You won't see such employees anywhere else if the job isn't for you If you're too ashamed to be friendly, you should look for something else

Being Turkish, the döner here is one of the worst I had ever in my life. They make their own bread but it has the texture of crepes rather than bread. Onions in the dürüm are huge. They don’t accept card and this is already a bad sign. I wish I never ate here.

The first time I ate a Dürum at Batman was around 2003. I haven't lived in Hamburg for over 15 years, but every time I'm there Dürum is a must. I always ate chicken meat in Dürum. It's awesome. Update. Still awesome...

Store stinks, unhygienic, homeless toilets, it's cold and drafty. Eating the worst rice of my life. Salad simply tzatziki and cocktail sauce slapped. Selling products from Israel such as cola etc. Only good chicken kebabs and the price is ok.

Incredible kebab restaurant and definitely one of the best I've visited in Hamburg. The portions are huge and the plates are delicious. I would definitely return!

Excellent, very tasty and the bread tastes fantastic

I was here last year and really wanted to bring my family a Dürum each because I thought it was really tasty last year. There was nothing going on yesterday and 6-8 people were more or less just standing around. The person at the checkout entered an amount of €8 instead of €40, which is of course tax evasion, but oh well. That's not what it's supposed to be about. I got 5 soft cold durums with very little meat that was pre-cut. There was only enough for 3 Dürum and then they simply took the meat from the 3 and distributed it to the remaining 2. Only the service is normal. It didn't treat me like dirt and even asked with a smile what sauce I would like and 3 stars for that.

Don't freak out, I'll be honest.

Already been there 5 times and the veal skewer was ALWAYS sold out and only chicken skewers were available and there were 4 of them.. strange distribution. It's no fun. I won't come by a sixth time.

Unfortunately it's just standard, even if the reviews and some online sites see it differently. The seemingly homemade Dürum is okay, but also very dominant. The meat was grilled properly, but was ultimately overshadowed by the sauce (of course it's your own fault if you add sauce). Ultimately, the expectations could not be met, which is further depressed by the hefty price of €8.

I've been a regular customer there for many years, I've always enjoyed ordering kebab plates or jumbo dürüm there, the price has risen enormously in the last few months, which is ok, but at the same time the portion has become much smaller (very economical with meat, etc.). Back then I got Jumbo Dürüm thick and heavy, today I get €7 Jumbo Dürüm like normal Dürüm. I was actually expecting it to be really thick and heavy, which I think is fine, unfortunately not the case! I think that's a shame, I really enjoyed eating there... Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was never good anymore.

I've been waiting for the chicken pieces from before to be available again for about 10 years. Wooo are the chicken pieces from back in the day, when the walls were still painted with the mountains of Kurdistan 😭. The Dürüm still tastes very good. After the renovation, the quality declined for a while, but now the quality is mostly very good again (if the bread is freshly made). The chicken dürüm at least. I've never tried veal here and I never will. Batman Dürüm is original only with chicken meat.

All in all just horrible in every way.

The Dürüm kebab is prepared with a very tasty dough and therefore has a very unique taste. The meat is well grilled and tastes good in harmony with the salad. There is a large area with tables further back which also makes it possible to eat on site.

Salamander aluminum ladies and gentlemen, I can only complain because the staff was rude, the food was tasteless, the salad was artificial and the meat was RAW. I wasn't in the mood for salmonella. And to top it off, there was no Batman poster or anything else. Never again, that's so disgusting. What a juice shop.

You are not told that you have to pay at the checkout first and then pick up your food. I generally never write reviews, but I have to warn people about this store. Dürüm was by far the worst I have ever eaten. I generally never throw anything away, but what I got was so bad that I just couldn't finish it. Maybe the store used to be good, I went there based on the rating and was unfortunately very disappointed.

I've eaten at Batman in Hamburg Steindamm several times now. The food was NEVER really tasty. However, since the last visit, my husband and I have been lying flat in bed with stomach pains, nausea and diarrhea. I threw the Dürüm with beef and chicken in the trash after 3 bites!!! The shop is also not hygienic, hands are not washed and everything is prepared without gloves. So if you want to catch salmonella, you've definitely come to the right place!!!

The store used to be good, but those days are probably long gone. Either someone is resting on their laurels, or the ownership has changed here. Today we have been here again for years. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The Dürüm is simply a limp, cold rag. The meat is okay, but could have been much crispier. The salads have no taste and the only sauces to choose from were tzatziki and cocktails. The ambience is the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a long time - the operating room light is more comfortable there. The absolute height was a sign with the note: “If there is a lot going on, it may be that our employees cut the meat down too early and it is not completely cooked through - please point this out to the employee.” You can't be serious 😂? The best thing I can do is make the kebab myself. Then there would be least love in it. Unfortunately the service here wasn't good either. Everything has to happen quickly, even though there wasn't much going on in the store. I can really only advise against a visit. Too bad!

I've been eating kebab here for 30 years. It used to be much better and more familiar when they were a small shop. Very tasty kebab and other dishes too. Sometimes very expensive. The service is very bad. The kebab men in particular are very unfriendly. This may be because some of them don't speak German. But you feel like a burden when you stand there and order something.

Super friendly, super fast, but unfortunately the quality wasn't convincing. We weren't the only ones at lunchtime, so the meat was well done but not really well seared. Unfortunately, the sauce at the bottom of the box was probably bland due to the number of orders. Maybe it's better when there's less going on.

We ordered a kebab and made a not of the price , the food was very basic and when the bill came out they had added 300 lira to each dish. When confronted they brought out a menu that has the the prices on, so they have 2 sets of menus and will rip you off. The lower price is on the menu outside so they are fooling themselves. Terrible.

Döner plate for 12 euros with chicken. The meat is very tasty and it comes with tzatziki and salad. Unfortunately, the red cabbage was a bit older and quite bitter. The flatbread that comes with it is generous, but doesn't have that much flavor. It was very smoky and it felt like the ventilation for the kebab skewers wasn't turned on. I liked it there better before.

The guest must clear away and dispose of plates including leftover food themselves. Cleanliness of tables could be improved. Aprons would be recommended for counter staff. Conclusion: mixed... you don't necessarily have to go.

The worst I've had in a long time. The bread is simply a thick pancake with no salt or any flavor. The meat is tough and mushy. The kebab tasted like nothing, really nothing at all. The store itself is like a train station, pure check-in. You won't be asked what kind of meat you want or what should go in it. There is no communication with customers at all. The staff is unfriendly, no hello or goodbye. The flatbreads are held on the kebab skewer with your bare hands to get the thing a little warm. The atmosphere is uncomfortable. Taste 3/5 - not special I felt like I was eating more bread than meat

I have been a satisfied customer of your kebab shop for years and appreciate the quality of your products. Unfortunately, I have recently noticed that the quality of the kebab has noticeably decreased. On [4/23/24] I bought a jumbo chicken kebab. Unfortunately some of the meat was almost raw and not edible. I also wasn't able to finish the kebab because I felt sick. Furthermore, the pieces of meat were not uniformly thick and large. I was disappointed that when I made a complaint on site, I was neither offered a new product nor was my money refunded. Instead, I was put off with the explanation that this was normal with homemade skewers.
