Just very, very good burgers. You should definitely try it.

The food was actually quite good, but if a hair is found in the food, you should first apologize and either come over and serve again or/and not count the money from the food. But it wasn't like that. You counted the food as normal. We are all human and we don't always have to be cheerful, nice or motivated, but when things like this happen you have to be professional and not wait for the tip. You should give the remaining money as normal.

Very tasty burgers and fries, unfortunately no decent beer to go with it. The guest room is a bit dreary, in contrast to the bright red toilet :-)

Had a very tasty breakfast. Everything was perfect and extra requests like getting tofu instead of bacon were fulfilled. The affogato was also particularly good and rounded off the breakfast. There is a small minus point in the ambience and atmosphere, which could be a little more inviting and not so noisy.

It was our first time there and unfortunately I have mixed feelings. We waited a very long time for the waiter to place our order and then we waited a long time for the order to be served. The table left a lot to be desired, it wasn't completely clean. I can praise that the waitress brought us the bill quickly. Our order was good. Went to this restaurant for the first time today August 18th, 2024. The lady at the service was friendly, attentive and prompt. She also asked us if everything was okay. The food came after 25 minutes. It tasted very tasty. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the cleanliness of the restaurant. dirty cutlery (which was exchanged immediately upon notification). Stains on the table and lots of leftover food on the floor.

However, one potential downside is the lack of reserved parking for patrons, so you may need to hunt for a spot nearby, especially during busier hours. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't crowded, giving us the option to choose between sitting indoors or on the terrace. We opted for the terrace, which provided a pleasant atmosphere with just the right amount of fresh air and natural light. The service was perfectly in sync with the number of patrons present. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and the timing between courses was just right. As for the food, it certainly did not disappoint. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that were both vibrant and satisfying. Overall, it was a wonderful brunch experience, and we left feeling content and well taken care of. We'll definitely be returning for another meal in the future.

Inventive recipes, great selection. Patty's unfortunately a little crispier, slightly juicier burgers would have rounded the whole thing off perfectly! The selection of fries (Juicy Lucy Fries 👌) was simply great, and the homemade drinks and dessert made up for the dry burgers. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We were there for brunch today and unfortunately we waited over 50 minutes for our food. Only when we asked were we told that something was wrong with the transfer of information to the kitchen. The restaurant was quite empty (max. 7 tables occupied), so I would have liked the three service staff to have informed us of the situation earlier. Furthermore, today there was only espresso and milk coffee; all other coffee specialties would not be possible to order for reasons unknown to us. We won't be coming there again, especially since we had a bad experience with a very unfriendly waiter there some time ago. The shop used to be much fuller - in my opinion, a bad sign, especially in Dortmund's Kreuzviertel, as the other cafés there are fully booked long in advance, especially for brunch.

We came because of the good reviews and “gluten-free” burgers. When asked, no attention is paid at all to possible contamination during preparation. There are gluten-free buns, but they go into the same toaster as the gluten-containing buns. Unfortunately, it is not possible for people with celiac disease to eat burgers here. The normal fries are no problem. However, it is a shame to advertise gluten-free buns and not ensure a separate preparation that is safe for those affected. Maybe that will change in the future. I would be happy!

We visited BASE.KITCHEN on a weekday evening when it was fairly quiet. The service was friendly and the food came quickly, which was very positive. The food itself was an absolute 10 out of 10! The sweet potato fries and the regular fries in particular were incredibly tasty - probably the crispiest I've ever eaten. The ambience, however, left something to be desired, which is why I only give it four out of five stars. The prices are relatively high, but acceptable given today's times. A small point of criticism concerns the towel paper in the toilet: it was quite thin and could either be replaced with thicker paper or, better yet, with a hand dryer fan. In addition, the parking situation is quite difficult as there are hardly any parking spaces. However, if you come by bike or motorbike, you can park directly in front of the restaurant. Overall, a highly recommended experience that we would be happy to repeat.

We went there for a brunch on Sunday. The waiting time for the order was a bit longer than we expected, probably because of the amazing pancake tower that turned out to be the highest point of the brunch!

A friendly shop that you enjoy spending time in. The meals are familiar, but somehow also completely new and interesting. I recommend everyone take a bowl. We went here for brunch and it was really delicious! The selection was very good and the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Parking here can be a bit tricky, but we were lucky on a side street. We will definitely come by here for a burger in the future.

I've been there several times for burgers and also for brunch. It's all really delicious! The juices are also great. It would be nice if an Ice Latte Macchiato were added to the menu. The service is also great and attentive. Personally, I find the interior a little too dark, but that's a matter of taste.

The outdoor area in particular is carelessly designed, so more could really be achieved! The waitresses aren't really attentive, but the food is great!!!

The food at Base Kitchen in Dortmund was OK, but nothing special. The burgers were solid but not exceptional, and the sides were standard. Everything tasted good, but it lacked the wow factor. Unfortunately the service was very overwhelmed and slow. We had to wait a long time for our order, and drinks and reorders also took forever. The staff was friendly but obviously understaffed. Overall, Base Kitchen is okay for a quick burger, but you shouldn't expect culinary flights of fancy. If you have time and patience, you can still get enough here.

The food itself is good, my burger was a bit burnt, but still ok. Apart from that, it tasted great. The prices match the dishes on offer. €19.90 for the largest burger. Waiting times for two burgers with a portion of sweet potato fries are quite long. In total we spent almost 1.5 hours there for our meal. During this time, despite the empty glasses, no one asked whether there was still a need for drinks. The service could therefore be significantly better; the operating staff appears to be a bit understaffed. It took quite a long time after we arrived until we were first asked what we would like to order, so we were able to study the menu in peace and know what we wanted to eat for a long time. You basically have to get in touch so that someone can ask. You have to like the ambience. Everything is basically black and overall quite loud, even if not all the tables are occupied. If I could give 3.5 stars I would think that would be appropriate.

We ate there during the week. The menu reads great. Nice selection, exciting combinations and modern. There are burgers, healthy bowls and low-fat fries with various toppings. The selection of drinks is also appealing. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The bowls were completely cold, even the quinoa rice was cold. The tofu came straight from the fridge. Pomegranate seeds and the peanut topping were completely forgotten, even though they were on the menu. The fries were tasty, but the portion was relatively small. I also find it a shame that there is no side dish with a burger considering the price. At first glance, the store looks very stylish and modern. But if you look closer, you can see that everything here is getting a bit old. Dust, cobwebs, peeling paint, the condition of the women's toilets... It's a shame that expectations couldn't really be met. We wouldn't go there again.

Four of us had dinner on May 22nd. Staff very friendly and price-performance ratio is right. We had a total of 4 different burgers and 3 specialty fries and everything arrived warm and tasted really good. The parking situation is difficult.

We were there today and can't say anything negative. The burgers were great and all flavors were served. The food arrived quickly, so we didn't really have to wait long. The only thing I don't like is the really black interior. It's just all black. But that's just personal feeling. I would come back to eat at any time.

At the suggestion of a friend, we ate here today with a total of 9 people. For a Friday evening it was surprisingly empty. That made me a bit suspicious. I would like to be brief and start with the few positive points: - the chicken burger was okay, but the price-performance ratio was simply not right due to the small portion. - the cappuccino was really good Now the noticeably many bad points: - although the store was really not busy, the service was slow - 5 of our group of 9 ordered a bowl. It has to be said that there are only two things that you can order at Base.Kitchen in the evening: burgers and bowls. A few minutes after we ordered, the waiter came to our table and said in all seriousness: “Unfortunately, we can’t offer any more bowls today because we’re out of rice.” No more rice?!? A 3-minute walk away is the nearest supermarket, where a waiter could have walked to buy plain rice. Well, so be it. - my wife ordered her burger without onions. So a little extra wish. This was forgotten and the burger was served with onions. - Beforehand, my wife went to the toilet and then reported a disgusting sight: there were traces of blood on the floor and the ceilings were covered in cobwebs. Overall, the toilets were absolutely unhygienic, even for the men Sry, but for the money you can treat yourself to a much better evening in Dortmund.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the many positive reviews. The service staff really tried hard and a longer waiting time was announced, but a good hour is just crazy, especially since the store wasn't even 3/4 full. 14€ for a single chicken burger without a side dish (fries cost a tiny amount when bought in bulk) is also really a statement and calling the fries with topping 'supersize' and then only serving a medium-sized portion is the same. Plus lukewarm, plastic plants and cobwebs right next to the table. We were told that a new kitchen team was starting today, but unfortunately the first impression was really not good.

The food was great. Very well arranged. Something for the eye. The taste was excellent. The service was very nice, attentive and always there if the glass was empty. Prices are completely reasonable. The furnishings are simple, but we're not talking about the KÖ. People go and be surprised.

We've been looking for a place for a long time where you can have breakfast as great as in the USA and we finally found it here. What's missing to be happy is French toast... The pancakes were very tasty, the toasts were simply great. Service is attentive and friendly, and we rate the ambience as “well, it could be better, but the food makes up for it all anyway”.

The burger was bomb and the fries were delicious. Prices are still okay and the waiters are chill. All in all a nice experience and a good restaurant, the puns on it were a bit boring.

Unfortunately we didn't have any positive experiences here. A disaster for people with food intolerance or allergies: The staff doesn't seem to know their stuff (at least when it comes to gluten). In addition, the QR code on the menu, which is actually supposed to lead to the allergens it contains, simply leads to a page that no longer exists (Page not found). Since the second operator wasn't really trained, we ended our visit without achieving anything. It's a shame and not acceptable these days.

We've been here twice now and the food and service were great both times! Depending on the day/time, a reservation makes sense. We particularly enjoyed the pancakes and sandwiches, which were all very well topped.

The burgers & fries were a hit! The Happybowl could still be improved in terms of taste (perhaps also a matter of taste). Otherwise super nice service, the food arrived at the same time for our larger group. It's just relatively loud, I would improve the acoustics. Unless you sit in the cozy booth :-).

Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The food was very delayed and served lukewarm. The drinks didn't come much quicker either. The burgers tasted okay, but nothing special. With the gin you could only taste the tonic water and mint. The service tried its best but was very stressed. Various cobwebs hung on the ceiling and the picture frames were white with dust. The LED lights couldn't be turned on, so it was pretty dark.

We ate at BaseKitchen once with 7 people on a Friday and then again with 5 people on a Monday. First the positive. The store looks good and clean. The furnishings are harmonious, the tables are big enough and comfortable chairs. The food is really great. I have rarely eaten such good burgers. The fries are also great (I both had the no French fries because I thought they were so good). There are also interesting gin variations. The only bad thing is the waiting times for the food and the service. The first time on Friday we waited almost 1:15 hours for the food. What else was possible? However, the service was also poor. We had all the drinks at our table and it was a real challenge to find a waitress to order new ones. On the second visit on Monday it was even worse. We waited over 2 hours for the food. You kind of get the feeling that there's only one person working in the store, and sometimes someone from the kitchen comes to the front to help carry things. All in all, great food but poor service.

Food was tasty and inexpensive (not cheap ;-)). Had a bowl and was full afterwards. Only the waiting time was a bit long because it was relatively full. During peak times on the weekend you should reserve a table.

A little tip: reserve a table in advance! And bring a lot of time! We had to wait 1:20 hours for our food. Parking is difficult, you have to look carefully and wait patiently. There is nothing to complain about when it comes to food. Damn delicious!!! The staff is also very friendly. Conclusion: despite the very long waiting time, we would come again. Because there are a lot of things we still want to try here ;-).

Sticky, uncleared tables and a long waiting time of around 45 minutes, even though only 4-5 tables were occupied. Guests who arrived after us and had definitely placed their orders later had their food at the table before us. Payment took another 20 minutes until everyone got up and went to the checkout. Then endless waiting times at the checkout because the card reader wasn't working. We gave cash to other guests, who had to pay us the money so they didn't have to wait any longer. Bad service for semi-good food, not recommended!

I was there today: food was okay, service was poor (waited 45 minutes to be served and then another 30 minutes for our food (toast and pancakes) and it wasn't particularly crowded. The table was super sticky. Conclusion : There are definitely better cafes there.

Here you can eat very tasty burgers that you don't have to worry about not being able to eat. The selection is very good and there should be something for everyone, especially because you can also order some burgers in a vegan version. Excellent taste. Large portion size is ok. In any case, BASE KITCHEN is worth recommending.

A nice pub/dining place. The burgers are great and you should definitely take a side of loaded fries. And maybe even a cocktail to finish it of. The ambiance was great ! However maybe not the place to go if you want a more traditional dining out.

We just had to wait a little longer for the bill ;) Definitely worth a visit. However, we found the conversation level a bit uncomfortable. If you wanted to understand something at your own table, you had to adapt to the general volume.
